Great, honest, and quick work every time. Have gone here multiple times for wildly different issues and they do it all. Andy honored his quote even when the bill ended up exceeding it by over $100. I can easily recommend this shop to anyone, just be courteous and work with them on scheduling. They do accept credit cards but remember to pay with cash if you can to help them out!

Andy is an honest and no nonsense mechanic . If its not broke dont fix it. Prices are great. Only downside is he is always busy and dose not always get back to you in a timely manner. Other then that, 100 percent satisfaction.

These guys are no joke and truly care about their customers. Been coming here for years. They never attempt to over-price or over-sell on repairs/tune-ups. Real, down-to-earth staff who will bend over backwards to make sure you get the work done on your vehicle that keeps you driving safely.

There are three conditions an auto mechanic should meet; honesty, quality of work and a fair price. Im 67 years old and after years of being ripped off by unscrupulous auto repairman (speedy muffler was the worst) I finally discovered Cartel. Jim, the former owner was everything the others werent, a mechanic of integrity, quality work, and yes, a very fair price. Thats why I was worried when Andy bought the business. Fortunately, my worry was in vain. Andy has kept this tradition alive with excellent work, and what your car needs is what he tells you. No unneeded service or bogus repairs - in short, you can trust Andy to do right by you. His quality of work is bar none. And yes, his prices are very fair. You hear about customer service all the time, but how many places do you actually receive it? Not too many. But at Andys auto service, you do. I recently learned he is also expanding to pre-owned cars. In my experience with Andy, which has been since he took over, I know where I will be buying my next car - from a name and business that I know will be fair.

Very happy! Went to Andy to have him check my transmission fluid level as I just had it rebuilt. It was a hot day, so Andy also checked and recharged the air-conditioning at the same time. I didnt realize that it worked! Just in time for vacation.

Couldnt get my car into a bay in the garage to begin repair/inspection for over a month-after I paid $1000.00 to get the head gasket fixed. I had it towed there 2+months before I paid to be looked at.... a mechanic told me itd be a 2/3 day job after I paid some money. I still dont have a vehicle to drive and I have been waiting for a call back from them. I am told to call back in a few days or next week... I cant believe that. I have heard such good reviews of them though. Hopefully I will be satisfied with the work that is done . Planning to get my car Back Friday

Hands down the most honest mechanic in greater Akron . My family has been going to Jim for more than a decade now and hes always been cheap, prompt, and honest. Highly recommended .

My cars heater wasnt working right and 2 other places said I needed to replace the heater core but I took it here and he was able to clean out the heater core and the whole system and my heat is working 100% now.

A real Akron pearl! If you want honest estimates and excellent work you need to see these guys. They dont have the best of personalities but they do exactly what you ask and dont try and take advantage of you. I have been there twice. Once to have breaks/rotors and also to have my AC recharged. On both visits their estimates and time to repair were significantly under all the competition. I cant imagine taking my care to anyone else.

They know their stuff. You might want to book an appointment and remind them a day earlier to order your parts though. Great place overall.

Theyre not honest and they are a shady for the simple fact I bought my car there to get it checked after I brought it they told me the car was good to go I just needed roters charged me close to$200 not to long after that back pads and breaks started squealing loudly I brought it back with my receipt, they came out looked at it told me to drive back and forth so they can hear it, he goes oh thats the rear breaks, the other guy comes out and says oh we didnt check that part back there remind you I took the car there to check out everything the whole car they didnt do they job all the way if they can see that I needed roters then they would of known about the rear pads and other stuff that was going on, they wasnt honest with me about checking the car in the first place I am very disappointed in there work not only that I had to pay almost$200 for roters I had to pay more money to get the job finish and corrected that cost me another$400, if they were honest did the job on my car right the first time I wouldnt be a unhappy customer if this was the last car auto shop left in Akron I would never bring my here ever again all they had to say is we didnt check the whole car, not your good to go take my money and send me on my merry way

Well,they just messed up my friends car,which another shop had to fix the damage.I had my car in fifteen years ago and have never gone back.My car was given back to me with the check engine light on.I took it in to have the oil pan replaced,which I couldnt do because exhaust pipes were in the way.I found two broken oxygen sensors,starter bolts were not tight enough,and all bolts on the new oil pan were too loose ( some had thread exposed up to a half inch.None of this was wrong with the car before I took it in.
