If I could give this zero stars I would! This is my second time going to Kenny who I believe is the owner of this company and he is so rude. I was giving my opinion on my nails and he told me if I don’t trust him I can leave and go to another nail salon. I went on to telling him that I’m entitled to my opinion especially that I’m paying my own money. The first time I went he was a little mean but I brushed it off and this is my second and last time going to that nail salon. Do not go there he expect for you to sit there and not say anything about your nails if you don’t like it. Don’t waste your time !

I don’t understand what the negative reviews are about. This place is great. Been coming here going on 4 years now every 2-3 weeks. They always do exactly what I want to my nails. Several times even redid polish if I was not happy or chipped too early which I’m telling you, in my 4 years happened 1-2 times. Anyway, Kenny and Mimi are my go tos but everyone at ocean q is great. So nice and welcoming too.It also helps to be nice to your nail tech y’all. Be polite, say hi, tip well. Everyone is human and has a bad day so don’t be rude.

My 3rd appt with Mimi went well! I called about 12:10 PM and was able to get a 1PM appt today. I was taken as soon as I walked in the door, a few minutes early. I was not sure about colors except that I wanted my nails similar to orange nails in a photo on Yelp... but with a purple theme (February is my birthday month, amethyst is my birthstone). I was pleased with the outcome.

They charge different prices each time, this time i paid $24 +tip for regular nail polish pedicure

The guy who did my nails did not do them well . First he did the acrylic so bad . Some nails look wide, some look lumpy, and some are not filed straightly . I asked him to fix them before i left the chair thinking it looked better but no . $70 ? never again he did my toes good tho .

SO EFFING TERRIBLE SMH NOT ONCE WERE THE UTENSILS USED ON MY HANDS CLEANED AND DISINFECTED, I WATCHED KENNY USE THE SAME TOOLS AS ANOTHER CLIENT ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THEYRE IN BUSINESS THEY AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED MY CARD TIP AND COULDNT EVEN DO A SIMPLE FRENCH MANICURE IF YOURE IN THE YONKERS AREA STAY AWAY!!!!! THERES LITERALLY SO MANY OTHER PLACES THAT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE & YOUR HEALTH!! THIS MAN HAD THE NERVE TO SIMPLY DO WHATEVER HE WANTED ON MY NAILS ACTUALLY WHATEVER HIS POORLY SKILLED SELF COULD DO NOT WHAT I WANTED. TERRIBLE . 0 / 10 EVEN HAD THE NERVE TO CURSE MY SISTER OUT AFTER MAKING HER WAIT THREE HOURS W/O SOAKING AND COULDNT EVEN DO WHAT SHE WANTED. dont go this is a warning that i wish i had gotten.

If you dont have an appt dont bother coming to this place. They will have you waiting forever as a walk in and then simply do the appt people. Go across the street next to the Starbucks. The other place is cleaner and more professional looking as well

Amazing nails but horrible attitude and customer service. They made me wait outside (understandable due to pandemic) but I had to go when they got up and locked me outside. Ask around at least one person you know has gotten an infection from this place. Do better.

Fed up with this place. Outwardly my nails look good; however the job its self is not good. When I asked to fix it, my nail tech said its too hard and cant be done.If this is your job why cant you preform a task to fix something you did wrong? Every time Ive been there its been a different price. First time they said it would be more because there was a problem from another salon. Then charged me the price listed, OK good. Charged me more the next time because I had them trim my nails down. So I cut them before I go so Im not charged for a service that should be included that takes less than a minute. Today my person is not there and they charged me an additional $8 because I have long nails and didnt want them cut (additionally this extra charge is not listed in their prices) . They are the same length as the fist day I went.That was the last straw. I will not be going back.Also they suck at pedicures.

Been going here for years but I guess the pandemic changed everyone’s attitude. Kenny was rough and he tapped my shoulder very hard when trying to get my attention because I was looking at the tv. Price on the paper said $32 for fill in. When I asked why he charged me $40 he yells at me “long nails!” and walks away. My nails are not even long, they’re medium length! I’ve never been charged an $8 extra for long nails...never going back again. The color did chip after a few days.

I get an acrylic set every once in a while and this is my favorite place to go. They’re so gentle with the file and don’t tear up my hands. I’m not sure the name of the woman who helped me today but she did my shape perfect!

This place is horrible! The wait is always long because it’s always packed, and they do who they want to do (someone that comes in after you might get through before you do, even when you’re both in for the same thing). The owner and many of the employees are rude. When doing acrylic tips, they file your own nails down so much that you get “ring of fires” (bright red indentations where the acrylic was), and they complain when you want your nails done à certain way (ex: I like my nails sharp so i asked one of the ladies to file it for me. she complained about it). Lastly, i don’t know what it is they put in their acrylic, but it’s way too strong. I had my nails for almost two months and they wouldn’t come off! Because of this, whenever i hit my nails, my real nail would break (and bleed) underneath the acrylic which stayed completely intact. I will definitely not be going back.

I’ve come here off and on since they originally open, when they first open they were really nice and did great work, now there rude, they speed through your nails so they can take the next white women that comes through the door. If your a Minority they’ll still take your money but don’t let a white person come in they will actually ask you to get out there seat and wait for someone else to take you. And don’t bother making an appointment because yet again if you have an appointment with them and they schedule an appointment the same exact time as an uppity white woman they’ll make you wait. And for the amount of money that these people charge to do your nails you would think that they would actually care about what they’re doing.

My pedicure was rushed, and the painting job was sloppy. I still had old nail polish underneath the color they did, on my nail and skin. The gel manicure I received was nothing like I asked for. I wanted a Christmas design and came out of there with nails that looked like Pokémon balls (red and white) 😂I asked if a specific design could be done, with a picture and all, and with confidence the nail tech responded yes.I will give two stars because at least she was nice. There were some nail techs with attitude in that place. 100% sure I’ll never go here again.

I haven’t had my nails done anywhere professionally in years because of botched nail jobs and unsanitary conditions so needless to say I was very nervous. I was in the area and noticed a woman with lovely nails. I asked her where she goes and she recommended this place. I was a walk in and had to wait for a long while. I got sns for the first time and Tiffany did my nails. I am so pleased with how it turned out. I will definitely return. Maybe next time I will consider a pedicure.

I started going to this nail salon almost 2 years ago and I wouldnt change it for the world if you make an appointment they really nine times out of ten try to adhere to that appointment theyre professional clean and honestly in my opinion the best nail salon. My nails are always done neatly and accurately. Each nail expert is unique. I usually get my nails done every two weeks prior to this nail salon I would get my nails done before the two weeks time frame because my nails would start to crack or the nail polish would start to chip but not at Golden Q Nails I get my nails done every two weeks because they last.

Used to be amazing. Now the owner that sits up front is beyond the word rude. Went in a couple of times to ask how long the wait was and his response was, don’t you see all these people? Yes, I do, but I don’t know what service they are getting. Just answer the question! Another time I asked for a green color and was pointed one out. He starts to put it on and it’s blue! I said no wait the green one. He goes one more coat and it will be green. I wait And it’s bright blue. Than told me, I’m waisting his time and supplies by being picky. I kept giving them extra chances, because I loved them so much, but now I’m done. Change the attitude and maybe I’ll come back.

I gave this place 3 chances.3rd time there i waited about 40 minutes to have someone else walk in and be seated before me. The employees are also rude and not communicative.

Second time here and I love it. They are great at pedicures and make sure the quality of your gel mani is perfect before you leave. The prices are slightly high compared to other ones in the area but it is worth it.

Horrible experience, very unprofessional. While I was there every single employee was rude in one way or another. I got my acrylic tips done by Kenny, he was rough and very arrogant. It’s only been three days and my nails are already coming off, he literally put the wrong size nail on my thumb. I realized once I left the edge of my nail was not even fully covered. I will never go there again, complete wastes of money. And to top off the entire experience while I was there, one of the employees sprayed a gentleman in the face with alcohol while attempting to take his temperature (okay maybe it was accident) but instead of apologizing she ran off like a little girl to hide in the back. Experience was super rushed which in this horrible case, I can’t complain about.

The women in charge of the salon is very nice and very flexible. She takes her time with nails. The store has a friendly atmosphere. They have a comfy couch for you to sit and wait. Overall I had a friendly experience there. The owner Le did my nails and she did an excellence job. I recommend this place to anyone who are trying to get their nails treated well.

Great place to get your nails and toes done. Very professional but the wait time is long. You can make an appointment but even with that you wait a long time. Prices are good for the work that they do and you will not be disappointed. Downside is that they are closed on Sundays and on Mondays they dont have very much staff.

Terrible service. The woman who did my nails she did not even cut my cuticles and she painted my skin and cuticles with gel and the shape of the nails was terrible. When I asked her why she didn’t cut my cuticles she started speaking on a different language and she sounded pretty angry. She didn’t even put cream on my hands pretty much she just applied the gel color. I would never go again.

Ocean Q. Nails is great! I just moved to the neighborhood and was looking for a new salon to replace my go-to. I was super happy with my mani/pedi, and it lasted a LONG time - almost three weeks! The salon itself is cozy and clean, and the staff is super nice. Ill be back soon!

I have been going here for months, and I loved the service their friendly staff BUT their manicures and pedicures do not last whatsoever. It’s like as if they do it on purpose for you to go back. I had spent $35 on the SNS powder on my real nails for them not to even last a week without chipping or breaking. It is so unbelievable! My gel pedicure had chipped also which is so depressing.

After visiting a couple of nail salons in Yonkers, I can assure you that Golden Q Nails is the very best! They are very professional and perform an amazing job. I am so happy I went there!

I love ocean q nails their company is very clean and affordable.They will always take you on time even if you don’t have an appointment.The only time I can think of that I have had a issue is when one of the lady’s their ripped off a piece of my skin and I started bleeding.But other than that I have had a very good experience with them.

Use to like this place, not anymore. When I call to ask them is it busy they say on the phone “no we are not come in”. I go in and end up waiting 45 min . Kenny the guy that’s in front is very rude as disrespectful.They are very dirty and not sanitary at all.

I went in to fix a problem that one of the ladies there caused and the guy that works there said if I wasnt happy that I should just go somewhere else... too bad they lost a customer that was willing to travel and spend money there. Place is filthy dirty, filled with acrilic powder everywhere. Spend your money somewhere else better where they know how to treat customers and do their job right.

Eyelash extensions were horrible. My eyes have so much extra dried glue and they burn so bad. I have no idea what Im supposed to do. Spent almost an hour waiting watching a woman nod out on herion while getting her nails done Im the idiot for trusting this place
