Ha everyone,We have looked at several apartment before we decided on Indy West do not get me wrong because some were nice places but once we toured Indy West we were hooked.First of all the staff in the front office are so helpful Mackenzie will work with you on any reasonable problem you have she will work for you in anyway she can. Then there is Cody Ray very nice and kind he is always on top of things you need maintenance even just a light bulb he has them there right away and loves setting up different things for the residents to intermingle and meet other people., Lots of fun...Ah yes Amanda May the one who holds it all together and works with you on getting you in this great place someone you want on your side.We have been here for 7 months now and it only gets better just check out these pictures.Billie and Charles,P.S before we moved here we never new it existed we love meeting people. Hope to meet you soon!!!!!!
Finishing up our lease here because our house is finished and I cannot tell you how thankful we are.The experience here was, like other reviews say, awful. The staff especially Mackenzie are extremely unhelpful and full of attitude. It has never been a pleasant experience with her or any of the other staff. It is unfortunate that someone who is an assistant manager is so moody. After a year of living here, I can confidently say that many things go unnoticed as well as are not taken care of. Item at the pool being broken and not being repaired. We had multiple instances with roaches and having to use our own spray to rid our unit of them. As well as that noise levels from our neighbors and other residents.Listen to the bad reviews and do not make the mistake so many of us did by moving here. Spend your money elsewhere for nicer apartments with better staff.
I have lived here for over a year and have loved it! This is one of the best apartment complexes I have lived in and the only complex I have renewed my lease. The office staff is super friendly and responsive! Mackenzie and Amanda have been wonderful from the beginning. This complex has some of the best amenities and the manor building is beautiful and always clean. I would high recommend living here!
This apartment is GREAT! We cannot be happier here. The finishings of the apartment are top quality and then amenities are always maintained. Highly recommend living here!
We have been living in the complex for about two months now. The place is absolutely wonderful and has great amenities. Above that though the staff and leasing office has been wonderful. We were helped by Cody in the office but have spoken with everyone at sometime or another. They have always been super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They made the leasing experience a breeze and seem to work well together.
We are transplants from Chicago and have lived her for just a few months. The apartments are beautiful, best in the area and the amenities offered are equivalent to a five star hotel! The staff is always so wonderful! The leasing office is always friendly and pleasant, on top of anything needed! Amanda, MacKenzie and Cody are always available and so kind. From the most minor scuff on the wall from moving, the maintenance team is on top of it! It’s so nice to put in an order and within hours, they respond to our needs. The community is full of life! Lot’s of doggies and friendly people who really make this feel like home. Highly recommended.
We have lived here for a year and love it, staff has always been very nice and the apartments are beautiful as well as the amenities. I always feel very safe here, have never had any issues. The main negative thing for me is trying to leave in the morning, the road is starting to get a lot more busy and with the new development across the street it’s only going to get worse. Other then that, it’s a great place to live and would recommend to anyone
I loved living here!! It was beautiful. The staff were all excellent. I felt very safe and loved the community atmosphere overall. The amenities are gorgeous. I would definitely recommend living here.
I absolutely love staying here.... I can honestly say enjoyable place, easy to deal with, and great customer service. There are a few minor things i can complain about, such as it being a new construction with a few little things that weren’t quite completed, but overall, when I mentioned it to them.... they immediately fixed the job. So in my book, that goes a long way!Thank you Hawthorne’s!
Indy West is a very friendly and safe community! The amenities, buildings and landscape are kept up to date and new. The staff is very professional and helpful to the residents. Whenever I have a question, Cody or Mackenzie answer immediately and are super supportive! #GOINDYWEST 😃
I moved here two months ago from New York and have never looked back. When moving to North Carolina, my fiance and I debated heavily over an apartment or a house and ultimately we thought an apartment was the best place to start. Cody and Mackenzie were nothing short of helpful, encouraging, welcoming, and quick. Cody managed to give us a tour via FaceTime which usually doesnt work out for me because you never get an actual sense of the apartment, but this wasnt the case at all. Cody took his time to ensure we were all set for our move and understood everything we were getting.Fast forward to move in date, Mackenzie greeted us and helped us get set up. She walked us through every step of the move in process and answered my annoying questions (the patience of a saint) with zero judgement.I have now lived here for two months and truly feel like its home. Everyone knows my dogs and both Cody and Mackenzie greet them by name and with treats! They LOVE going to the front office and are spoiled there.I was afraid the pool would be a frat scene, but its a perfect mix of families, friendss, and couples. I can peacefully read the paper whenever Id like or decide to be social. Choice is yours and its fantastic!I truly have never met a more dynamic team than them. Between the maintenance staff, Cody, Mackenzie, and everyone else theyve gone above and beyond to get us settled in here. If youre moving here, welcome - you wont regret it!
The amenities are not great, very average as most complexes have the same, if not more. The problems that most people are having here are the same ones that I had. It was not a positive experience and I was excited to be able to leave the complex as soon as my lease ended. Mckenzie was not the nicest to deal with. She often had an attitude when youre trying to get help. Very concerning.
Heed the warnings.........Absolutely awful. The staff are not helpful at all!!This complex turned into a large frat house very quickly and the noise alone ruins the experience.
I have recently just moved into Indy West apartment homes a week ago. I’d like to start by saying that Jasmine in the office has been Phenomenal. I’ve lived in 4 different apartments in two different cities and by far, this is the best experience I’ve had. She worked with me in every Single way!! On top of everything the apartments here ABSOLUTELY beautiful and I love all the amenities. My apartment is so clean and spacious! The prices are affordable! It’s located in a great area in between everything. Everyone in the office that I have met so far (Mackenzie) has been so helpful and quick to respond to any questions I’ve asked!!! Very friendly people! I would recommend Indy West to any and everyone. I was paying about the same price for 200 sq ft less at One Midtown Apts and I am so much happier here. Thank you to the office for all of your help! FIVE STARS FOR SURE!!!Shay
If I could give zero stars, I would. - hands down the worst experience I have ever had living anywhere. overpriced, understaffed (due to inadequate staff), lack of ownership, and attitude are what you get living here. the complex itself looks beautiful. I stayed in the manor building and from day one had problems. starting with my refrigerator going out, day 1, which I was told to use an empty apartment DOWN THE HALL for anything that needed to be refrigerated until they could get someone to come look at my unit. so from there, I knew things were going to be subpar. you pay a premium to live in this complex and you would expect that your money spent was reflected in the complex itself but also how the staff handles things. well literally not here. indy west offers nothing special. in fact, you can get MORE amenities than what indy west offers, at other complexes for cheaper. the finishes are the same everyone uses. the granite is the same everyone uses. the appliances are the same everyone uses, etc.the staff.. where do I even begin.. mackenzie, the assistant manager is one of the most hateful, dense, and rude people I have ever had to work with anywhere. she lacks every customer service skills that should be required for anyone working for a complex, let alone an assistant manager. every single problem you bring to her is treated as an inconvenience to her or just not done at all. furthermore, I had an issue with my upstairs neighbor making too much noise and I put in a noise complaint. mackenzie referred the resident to my door. which resulted in a grown man literally banging on my door for maybe 15 minutes, prior to me answering which I was reluctant to do because I didnt know who he was. before I answered the door, I called down to mackenzie to let her know that a man was at my door knocking persistently and I wanted someone to come remove him. in which she replied that we encourage our residents to work these things out amongst themselves - completely unprofessional and not okay. especially to provide another resident with not only my location but my name in order to resolve an issue in which they shouldve handled themselves. amanda which is the manager, I think I had maybe one contact with her total and it was fine. but also I feel as though the manager of a complex should perhaps be more involved with the residents of the complex she manages. oddly enough, she had plenty of time to walk the grounds many times, just walking and talking on the phone. and lastly, the newly hired cody.. I had multiple security problems at indy west. people knocking at my door, covering the peephole, trying to open my door, etc. I even had reached out to hawthorne directly to see if something could be done and never got a followup call. and tried multiple times to have my issue resolved before I asked to be removed from my lease due to genuinely feeling as though my safety nor other residents safety was a priority. ALL of which were ignored nor followed up with, nor handled the way they should have been. which is highly disturbing. cody informed me that in order for me to be able to leave my lease, I would need to pay a fee on top of another months rent in order to do so. when again, I did NOT want to leave at the time. what I wanted was for them to handle my concerns which were not being done. the maintanence staff are all very friendly and work hard. but the staff here are truly horrible.and I know the reply that I will get from the complex is that I am disgruntled, or that they tried to help me and that couldnt be further from the truth. every single person that I have gotten to know/be friends with at this complex, is leaving and not renewing a second lease. and those who have, are regretful of it. I cannot stress this enough, every issue that I have had whether security, lack of staff, appliance problems, waterbugs, noise complaints, and every thing in between is ALL shared amongst the other residents who live here.DO NOT MOVE HERE.
Trash community and the staff are beyond *awful* Save your money and go anywhere else
Indy West has an awesome staff which includes the front office and maintenance! They have been super responsive to my needs and the community events are second to none. The apartments are nice and go beyond the typical builder basic. The staff does a great job keeping the place clean and the amenities are next level. Its definitely the luxury property to beat in Wilmington.
Living at Indy West has been a wonderful experience so far. Not only are the actual apartments here some of the nicest youll find in Wilmington, but the facilities and amenities are top notch as well. I have also personally worked with the staff here and know them to be extremely professional and hard working people; always more-than-willing to help with any issue or question I might have.
Inspection after inspection after inspection after inspection. Take away all of the inconvenience (and now construction), and it could be a really nice place to live. Growing pains, perhaps. But its a gorgeous facility. Though, it has its design quirks and question marks. The small hot water heater that gets a family of 4 in a 3br unit through 1 shower. The could have been with wasted storage space. The abnormally low countertops. The uneven shower. The utility costs that run me more than my house that was more than twice this size. And then there are the things that could be added, such as an area to wash your car.
Indy West is an amazing place to live in Wilmington. First, the office staff are AMAZING! They will answer any questions you have and make you feel at home. The property is beautiful with tons on amenities!! Even if the amenities are closed Managment makes efforts to host virtual events and activities. Lastly, the units are beautiful and with open and spacious floor plans. I recommend this complex to anyone looking for a new place to live in Wilmington!
The staff sucks, amenities are subpar, like the other negative reviews.... theres a reason!
Apartments are very modern and sleek. They have great amenities and the on-site agents are very attentive and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and in a nice quiet area. I am so excited about living here!
I lived at Indy West for roughly 7 months and unfortunately I had to leave for personal reasons, but I would say that the leasing staff, maintenance, and facility are amazing. I highly recommend checking them out when youre looking for a 1BR or 2BR spacious apartment!
Moving from here once my lease ends. Overpriced and staff are inadequate.
The complex does not enforce their quiet hours. Over the past five months Ive had to deal with my degenerate neighbors throwing parties that last until 3AM, several days a week.
My husband and I moved here in October and just love it! Its a lovely community with great amenities. The property is well maintained and the staff are excellent. We have felt very welcome and look forward to our future here!
It’s Loud af here.
Beautiful property and the location is great!
WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
