While traveling through CT, my vechicle’s timing belt snapped and through a local recommendation I was referred to this auto repair shop. Excellent work and I was able to travel home the next day. So thankful and appreciate the outstanding customer service.

I recently brought my car to Ricks Auto Repair for service. Rick went above and beyond to diagnose and repair my 03 Murano (read: old). There were multiple issues that required finesse and expertise. Rick worked diligently (and in the blistering heat) to make all the repairs. My car runs better than ever. Rick is a top shelf mechanic who operates his business with honesty and integrity.

Rick was so kind to take a look at my car very quickly when I was having issues with car shaking and to recommend me to someone to repair the tires. Was able to have me come in 20mins after talking on the phone with him. Great guy!

I had work done at a Midas that ran me into issues and I was afraid to drive all the way back to them. Rick took me in right away the next morning and free of charge checked out my brakes and gave me suggestions of what was wrong and how to go back to Midas and make them correct it. I am not from the area and have been looking for a trustworthy place to get my car worked on. I needed new front brakes and rotors and I knew that before going in. Rick looked at my car, was completely honest about the wear they had on them, and priced them right in front of me. In the area, I have been unable to find anything more reasonably priced. He also went above and beyond by fixing a part on my car that I didnt even realize needed fixing, checking the fluids, and filling up my car tires without additional charge. And if thats not enough, he even did the repair extremely early in the morning so that I could to get to class on time. Honestly cant recommend him enough, call him if you need work done!

My car broke down in Wallingford,ct and I am from NJ. My boyfriend and I desperately seeked local help and Rick was the most knowledgeable and was the only professional that listened and offered reasonable solutions. Had car towed to his shop and he did a wonderful job and just cared about helping and getting right to work versus just fixing a car and getting paid. Recommend him 100% he was super kind and humble.

He is a good mechanic not a electrical

I have been going to Ricks Auto for the past 16 years. I have always had excellent service. Rick always stands behind his work. I have never met a mechanic as honest as Rick. He always diagnosis what is needed and nothing more. Most times he will do more things to make sure everything is done 100%. I just called Rick on Wednesday, brought my car in for repairs and was out the same day with excellent results. Rick keeps a terrific running records of what has been done to my car and told me what to expect in the coming months. Its time for some front brakes and I will be making that appointment very soon. I have complete trust in Ricks work. He is a superior mechanic.

Ricks Auto Repair did it again! Brought my car in for an oil change and a total check-over before going into the ever-so-exciting (lol) winter season. Well, they did the oil change, checked the battery, checked everything you can think of with an auto and only charged me $32.00. What can you get for $32.00 nowadays? What a very small price to pay for peace of mind. The folks at Ricks are the most honest business people I know. They said my car was in great shape and only needed an oil change and air in my tires. I trust these folks so much that I would be totally lost without them. They are the very best!

Really great guy. Had to get my rear brakes replaced on my 2006 Ford Taurus. Came in without an appointment and he took it in that day. The brakes were pretty much falling apart so it took him till the next day but all in all he was pretty fast. Even fixed my headlights for free. Definitely recommend to anyone in need of car repairs.

WOW, all these good reviews so I call only to get told Ill pass on doing a head gasket repair. I guess you can pick and choose your work being your own boss Rick but just not cool and people should know calling you that you may just tell them you will pass. Call someone else first people. Easy to get good reviews doing brake jobs.

Ricks consistent and numerous 5-star reviews are well deserved. I needed work on my brakes and he was able to get it done fast and well under what I expected I may have to shell out, based on previous experiences with a few of the area chain auto shops. While my car was in, he noticed one of my wiper blades was in need of replacement and asked if Id like him to take care of that, to which I said yes. In addition to taking care of that, he also washed my filthy windshield inside and out, and gave it a treatment of Rain-X. Thats going above and beyond in my opinion... excellent service. All that, and hes a nice, easy-going guy that will take time to explain things, and answer whatever questions you may have. As far as Im concerned, if youre not getting your car serviced with Rick, youre doing it wrong. Highly recommend.

I think Ricks is a perfect example of why it pays to buy local. I first visited Ricks after several visits to Firestone failed to fix my cars air conditioner. Rick diagnosed and fixed it right away.Perhaps even more important, when I went back on a Friday afternoon with an emergency dashboard light on my sons car, Ricks took us in right away, diagnosed the problem as unimportant, and didnt even charge us.Id recommend this shop without hesitation to anyone.

Rick is the best. Over the holiday weekend my wifes Jeep broke down. Rick quickly determined it was a sensor, and had her back on the road in an hour. I arrived to pick up my wife, thinking her Jeep would be there for a few days, since it was a holiday. While I was there I commented that I needed work done on my brakes, and should bring it in, since he did such a good job on my wifes vehicle. Rick offered to take a look, and said he could do them that day, if I wished. Not only did he repair my wifes Jeep, but repaired mine as well. On the Saturday afternoon before July 4th. We live approx 25 miles from Ricks, but will arrange to have as many repairs done there as possible. Service and value at Ricks are excellent.

In this day and age, its nice to find someone that still runs a business with integrity and honesty. Rick didnt know me from anyone and I called him with a much needed repair on my daughters VW Bug, and he fit me in, and I had the car back the next day . . . . in less than 24 hours. And the price was more than reasonable and he didnt try to get me to fix a bunch of other things.
