I cannot say enough how happy I have been with living here. From the moment I signed my lease until right new renewing another year. Every experience has been wonderful. The staff here are absolutely amazing. Both Chelsea & Maddy have always been so understanding & accommodating with anything I need. The grounds are always well kept, as well as all of the amenities. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to call home.
My wife and I spent the better part of the last four days searching for a condo to lease for our upcoming move to the Denver area. Both Maddy and Kieran were kind, patient, respectful and extremely helpful and generous with their time. We always greatly appreciate and admire that kind of quality service.
My roommate and I moved in about 2 weeks ago and we are so happy we found this place! The management team and staff are all super welcoming! When Chelsey gave us a tour, we were ready to sign a lease that day. She was so friendly and took the time to get to know us and what we were looking for. The apartment itself is perfect! We never hear our neighbors. Even the upstairs neighbor! How is that even possible? I wouldn’t know they existed if I hadn’t met them outside! (They’re super friendly too, by the way). Moving is stressful. Getting settled into a new place can be difficult if you don’t feel comfortable in your community. I genuinely feel at home here already.
I had a very nice experience working with Kieran, who walked me through the process in a very professional manner, explaining everything I needed to know. This apartment complex is very nice and pretty, in a quiet location, yet very close to everything you need.
Out move in at the griffin apt and we are so happy we found them it was a very fast process and Kieran was very helpful with our move in.
I moved into this complex this weekend, and I feel Ive already experienced enough to write this review.I moved here from Dallas with my wife and my roommate, and thanks to Maddy Wheeler (our leasing consultant), our move has been as easy and pleasant as any cross-country move could be. Maddy worked closely with us at every step of the way and always ensured we were well-informed throughout the leasing process. Questions were answered directly and swiftly, and I never felt like I was being given the go-around on anything, even when I asked questions that would have made a few of my previous apartment managers sweat. The entire process was handled over email and even when small issues arose (such as the lease incorrectly listing no pets - I have both a dog and a cat), those issues were resolved without any stress. As for the apartment itself - the grounds are very clean and taken care of exceptionally well, the other renters I met were friendly and helpful (and many of them own dogs!), and the parking situation is very acceptable. The amenities and services offered appear to be top-notch, and Im just honestly incredibly surprised by the overall quality. It isnt a cheap apartment (Im paying a fair bit more then at my previous place), but its absolutely worth every penny. And for people who prefer the quiet, the sound insulation of the apartments is pretty fantastic. Despite being on the first floor, I get virtually no noise from the outside. The only downsides I can find is if youre the type of person who hates dogs, youll probably find this place pretty unpleasant because it seems like most of the tenants have dogs. For me, thats a big upside.
We have lived here for over 5 years and have loved it! The office is a revolving door, but i will say that everyone that has come in has been wonderful. This community is welcoming and inviting. Everyone who works here are very helpful. Any maintenance issue, leasing issue, or general question is addressed promptly.
We came to this place after a long day of apartment hunting. From the second I walked in a lady named Maddy greeted us and helped with our every need. She was extremely professional and very kind. She was very informative and helped us decide on what would work best for us. She stood out for us so much she was one of the main reasons we went back and decided this should be our home. Also the property was very well-maintained and a welcoming atmosphere. The apartments are very well done and taken care of. I look forward to working with Maddy in the future. :) She deserves high recognition and to know it means a lot; just the littlest things to help us out and make this process easy. Thank you Maddy. Also I don’t normally write reviews but really felt we had to after visiting and working with Maddy.
What kind of apartment complex forces residents to reroute packages through a third-party service without even vetting the service? What kind of business uses a service that is hated by the majority of its users, knowing full well that service affects its customers. What kind of employee tells clients that they cannot speak to management when the employee cannot solve a problem? And what kind of business conceals every negative post about themselves in a so-called resident portal to delude all their other customers? By the way, our fire alarms havent worked for months. Havent been tested in years.
Maddy was extremely kind and helpful, willing to go the extra mile to make sure my questions and concerns were met. She helped find an apartment perfect for me. The property is clean and seems well managed, and the facilities appear to be in great shape. If you are in the market to move, I would suggest Griffis Westminster to any of my friends.
All issues that we had moving into the apartment I’ve been rectified and we are pleased with that. Our daughters car got booted by mistake and we were refunded the money for it. However I would like to see something different like checking plates and parking permits. Sometimes those parking permits will slip down and that just gives them an excuse to boot your car. They should have to check plate numbers as well. To keep from charging renters for something that was a simple mistake. It just leaves the ability for a company to get rich off of people that Can’t afford it.
Very helpful and warmth welcoming.
Kinda strange leaving a review as a new resident. I will say that I am extremely happy with the level of service I have received thus far. Although there are a couple of issues with the actual apartment I am occupying, the issues are being addressed very quickly.Very grateful to the office staff for communicating clearly and in a timely manner. As well as for their assistance in helping me navigate all of the documentation, and move in process. All told from applying online to move in it took 6 calendar days. This apartment complex does have different offerings so far as what is supplied in the unit. My unit is considered a “Classic” which means that I have old appliances throughout. I do not know what the updated units are called. Just be aware that if it says “Classic” you are not going to have new or newer appliances. If you are applying online, be sure to reserve accordingly. The amenities here are very nice. The pool and hot tub are open year round, the workout center is very nice and clean as well as the clubhouse (which is closed currently due to Covid). My neighbors are pretty much quiet. Which is good because it seems like everybody here has at least one pet. Plus it seems like the majority of folks here are home during the day too!I’ll update as more time passes.
Beautiful apartments, quick maintenance, great amenities, and above all, an incredibly kind & caring staff.I feel lucky to have called this place home for almost a year now.
Before signing a 15 month lease here I wish I read a review informing me of the extremely loud train that will blast its horn 5 times when it passes by the apartment in the middle of the night. Great place to live though. Leasing office is very helpful and accommodating.
Called and told staff my credit issues. I have bad credit my husband has great credit. I was told they’d work with me on it. I also told them if there a chance I’ll get denied tell me now so I don’t waste my time and money I was assured they would work with me. Payed the $230 and was denied within minutes. No trying to work with me. And to top it off I was informed I wouldn’t get my $200 back for at least 20 days because they are sending a check. Of course I wasn’t informed of this when i asked three times if I would get my money back if denied they never said it’d be in the form of a check. So now I’m out $200 and probably won’t be applying for any more places till I get my money back. Very deceiving. I tried to be honest about my credit thinking they’d work with me no I’m out money and no place to live. ThanksAs of June 23 still have not received my refund check by mail. Was told it was forgotten about a week ago and it would be mailed out the following day. This company has basically stolen $200 from me.
We loved living in this complex! Service requests were completed in a timely manner, the amenities were top-notch, and they allowed us to extend our lease for three months at the same rate due to COVID which was a huge help. Ross was incredibly helpful and attentive with all of our needs through our stay. Would definitely recommend.
Every single person that works in the office is absolutely amazing and so patient. We have never been so excited to live somewhere. The whole community is beautifully maintained as well!So far this has been the best experience ever!
It used to be a very nice community however within the past year it has significantly declined.
Griffis has been the best apartment complex Ive lived in! The rent is reasonable (and they reward you for renewing you lease!), the location is convenient to shopping and the highway, and the staff is wonderful! They always have a friendly greeting, maintenance takes care of issues within a couple days, and are simply enjoyable to be around. The resident portal makes managing rent, maintenance requests and connecting with the community easy. The facility is extremely pet friendly, and many residents have pets which helps us meet our neighbors. Weve lived here for 15 months and just renewed our lease for 14 more months! Thank you Griffis!
Beautiful apartments, very nice staff, and I loved the area! The prices are just outside my budget right now. One of my favorite local apartments, though, out of all the places Ive toured.
We lived at Griffis Westminster for 5.5 years and truly enjoyed our time there. We saw it transition from a previous owner and Griffis has made the property 100 times better. Tim and the maintenance staff are so wonderful and prompt when it comes to any maintenance issues. They replaced our water heater (when the previous owner just kept trying to “fix” it) and replaced our washer and dryer when they were no longer working. Since I had a new baby and needed to have access to laundry they replaced them quickly.Delphia and the front office staff are always very helpful and responsive if there were any issues. They were quick to address any noise or smoking complaints that we had. The clubhouse, workout area, pool, and grounds are so beautiful and wonderfully cared for.The apartments are very spacious with amazing storage, walk-in closets, ceiling fans, and the big garden tub.The apartments themselves have any normal apartment issues, like hearing your neighbors if they are loud, stomping around, and the train is loud going by; but for the most part it is a quiet and safe community to live in. We are so grateful for all Griffis had to offer and had a great experience living there.
Crime Alert!!!!! Cars are being stolen from this apartment complex every few weeks. I have had two vehicles stolen from here already. All I am told is sorry, and a few weeks later there is another person posting on the community wall that their car has been broken into or stolen. There is no cameras, security is rarely seen, and only rounds 15 minutes of every hour. Parking sucks at times because the parking lot is always full. We have reported the vehicles stolen to local police, but we need for this to change, it is frustrating and disappointing.
This community is great! The apartments and surrounding area are taken care of very well. The office staff and maintenance are always fast to help. Kevin and Delphia do a great job taking care of the leasing. They both are wonderful people. They would always answer any questions I had and were very friendly. They never hesitated to help. The maintenance crew is fast to answer the phone and take care of whatever problem is going on.The front office is so nice! The gym is kept very clean. The equipment is very good. I highly recommend this community!
We lived here for a year and a half while we saved up for a house and had a good experience overall. Maintenance came quickly when there were issues and our building was quiet. Just completed the move out process and it was super easy and fair.
5.0 star ratingBeautiful, clean property, family and pet friendly. Staff nice and helpful. Awesome 24 hr gym! All the amenities you could ask for and more. Apartment is nicely updated, fresh paint and no issues with maintenance. Love it
I have lived at Griffis Westminster Center for 13 months, and I have overall had a positive experience. They have updated the entire complex and management has changed, which is also a huge plus. The staff has been prompt, helpful, and kind to me during my time here. Rent is lower than average as far as I know. And I love the new clubhouse. It has an awesome coffee machine, a very clean/modern atmosphere, an awesome yoga/workout rooms, pool table, and kitchen. Pool and grills outside are great, love using those with friends. Parking is never an issue. Its in a great area, super close to the interstate and everything you need within a couple miles.Negatives, the updating and demo projects around the apt complex would take several weeks longer than what staff originally said. However, one could argue that construction projects often are like that. I feel like staff could be more flexible with certain situations.Overall, enjoy living here!
Bad experience the worst any customer can ask for. The do not know how to read income document forms. They give you access to private information before resident confirmation witch violates private policy. Bad customer service!
I have loved being a resident at Griffis, the staff is amazing and anytime I have a maintenance issue of any sort I am helped immediately.Bobby got back to me within a few minutes of me calling and came to help me with an issue in my unit on his own time and even took my trash out when he left!Very pleased with my experience living here so far.
Been living here for 3 yrs and am now priced out. Lived here 3+yrs, rent always on time, no complaints and they could care less. Property honestly just cares about money and how much they can mark up half shoddy apartments and attempt to call them luxury. The only plus side of this place is the friendly maintenance crew. Dont be fooled by the super fancy clubhouse, pretty much none of the apartments have that same quality. Ive seen police show up about once every month, Ive even had a neighbor police escorted with their things out of my building so that was interesting. Oh dont forget the cars that are broken into about once every month, people dumping their trash wherever they feel like, liquor bottles and beer cans throughout the complex, and Ive even seen a used needle on my morning walk with my dog. The hallway lights in the stairwells never work, theres constantly trash everywhere on the ground, not to mention the terrible dog pee smell. Also DONT live on the first floor, they put the dog waste stations in front of those windows so you can never enjoy the breeze. The complex has been under renovation since Ive been there and stills looks the same. They only really care about the buildings near the pool and leave the buildings on the outside of the complex looking terrible. The pool and hot tub are always being renovated and I can count the number of times on one hand that theyve actually been open Honestly find somewhere else for the insane price this place is charging.
Truly a 5 star experience. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, has been fantastic. We have lived here a year now and have never had an experience like this in the past. And I mean that in the best way possible. We have always felt heard, respected, and valued living here.
We recently moved here and all I can say is this place is amazing. We had so much help from Kevin who helped us every step of the way and once we moved in we had an awesome welcome basket that made it feel so much like home. Most places don’t even care. The club house is awesome and the gym is so clean! I wish people picked up after their dogs since baggies are always provided but grounds does a great job of keeping it clean. We also recently had a maintenance problem and the maintenance guys were so nice and got it done in a timely manner. Overall I’m so glad we found this place and so glad we can call it home. If you’re looking to move I definitely recommend checking Griffis out.
Prices were not bad here and not a bad place but what really got me going was sometime machines had to come back and forth more then ones like honestly I could done a lot of it myself by one day and that includes one day off then two or three..
Love delivering to this complex. Wonderful amenities, and staff. Always making sure there residents receive there packages with the lockers, or taking them at the office. One of my favorite stops to go to.
From the very beginning of the process, the staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional. Maintenance is always friendly on grounds and punctual with repairs. I love that Tamale Kitchen and Kokopelli Beer Company are so close. Although Im not a pet owner, the pets in the complex have been friendly and well-behaved in my interactions with them.
The area is walkable to several restaurants/bars/stores. The staff is always very helpful and quick to respond to things. It is pet friendly and they just opened a new dog park that our dog really loves. There are also trails we can walk our dog on.
We just moved into Griffis Apartments and when we got in our air conditioner was not working. Of course having an issue night one made my roommate and I panic, but Griffis did a fantastic job fixing the situation. They sent Tim from their maintenance team and he was friendly, professional and very good at what he does. He fixed our AC in less then a half hour. We can’t always control when things happen, but we can control how we respond to those things and Griffis responds in the best possible way.
I needed a new place on short notice, and Griffis had a great move-in special. The office staff and maintenance crew are very friendly, and my maintenance request last week was fixed a few hours after I submitted the order. Also love the spacious clubhouse, coffee bar, and ability to work remote from the small, private conference room. Great experience so far!
I love this community because it is like my own little town. I feel safe, the people are great, the staff is very friendly. I feel like at home. Good activities, good parking, Kevin at the front office is amazing, and the community is well lit.
Terrible service. Horrible communication. They try and finesse tenants and they overcharge. Would not recommend this apartment complex at all. 👎🏼
We are having a house built and moved to Griffis Westminster under a 6 month lease.. We are very happy with the staff and the apartment is fine.. Today we found out that our completion date on our house is going to be delayed.. We were told by the office staff that they would be happy to let us have a month to month lease.. and it will cost us an additional $1,145.00 in rent per month... Great place to live if you think its okay for a company to operate that way. 8/22/2018 This is an update on my review.. due to circumstances we have to renew the lease on our current apartment.. as I stated previously.. Griffis Westminster.. is a fine place to live.. but please be absolutely sure on your move and out dates.. cause if there is an issue.. you will pay for it... my husband renewed our lease two days ago... and they raised our rent on our current apartment due to supply and demand... yesterday... I went on to the Griffis Westminster web site.. and a big banner shows.. SAVE $1,000.00 on select empty Apartment Homes.. so much for supply and demand.. So bottom line for us ... is its an okay place to live.. the location is good.. the maintenance staff is great.. but make absolutely sure you know when you are moving in and out.. The END....
We had the most positive experience working with Rachelle over the weekend. She helped us find the perfect floor plan and made sure we have all the amenities that we are looking for. She walked us through the process step-by-step and really helped us get all of our information transferred over to our new home. Im so impressed with the professionalism and amount of dedication this team shows for their residents. Rachelle is a ROCKSTAR and we are so excited to move in!
Rocky is fantastic! He helped us all the way, from the moment we walked in the door and still checks on us to make sure we are liking things and if we need anything. He helped us find a beautiful 2 bed/bath apartment, and he was very helpful when it actually came to signing documents as we had some issues with my fiancee having to travel at the time. He was very friendly and professional and best of all HONEST. Definitely would recommend this place for anyone, dont be scared of the prices. Compared to other apartments that we looked at in the area this place actually gives you fair space for your buck. If you do come by here, make sure you work with Rocky.
Been here for a few months now and there’s been a lot of car break ins.So far so good. I’ve lived here for about a month and things have been going well so far. Kevin was super helpful with the move in process. Maintenance has been fast and friendly. There is quite a bit of dog poop like people have mentioned but that’s not their fault it’s lazy peoples faults.
The staff at Griffis Westminster do a great job. The four office personnel: Kevin, Delphia, Wes and Lauren are always very friendly and helpful! Also the community is very pleasant and quite. Extremely friendly to pets and in a great location!
Such a lovely and helpful office staff; Delphia especially. Thanks for dealing with us.-Cody and Brandi
Ive lived at Griffis Westminster for four months and am loving living here. The office staff is always friendly, professional, open and honest. Its taken a little longer than expected to get some small service requests taken care of but the office was up front about letting me know they were behind so Im not surprised by it, but the couple of weeks wait is why the 4 star rating and not a 5. The management company seems to be working very hard to make some very nice changes. The pool and clubhouse are beautiful and the new, updated barbecue areas are great!
We are very happy we chose Griffis to move to. Delphia in the leasing office was super helpful during our move in process. The grounds of the property is nice and we love the little areas with the grills. It’s been a quiet community so far.
Renters beware! Read all the lease fine print and make absolutely sure to get EVERYTHING they say, or promise, in writing. When filling out the initial move in checklist be extremely thorough down to every nick, scratch, stain, dent, etc. Smokers should NOT apply. Beware of car theft, trash everywhere, and the over abundance of pet feces.
This was my first community living experience and I have to say, it was wonderful. The staff was wonderful and really helped me along the way as this is very different than being a home owner! The only negative I have is PARKING! We pay a ton of money to live in these complexes and to come home late from work and not have anywhere to park is extremely frustrating. I would like to see better enforcement of this. If you are on the lease, provide your vehicle info. If you arent on the lease, park somewhere else. I know that could be hard to enforce, but it really has been awful given my work situation. Other than that - GREAT place to live. Im sad to be leaving, but the commute for me is intolerable anymore...
I love living here.
Loud and noisy neighbors. Matinance is great office staff great. Try your luck its a 50/50 on noise here but not worth 1600 a month and no more smoking on premises. Cops are here a lot at night.
One of the best places we’ve lived. The staff is friendly and always ask how we’re doing. We like it here.
Everything here at Griffis Westminster Center is perfect. The whole staff are very professional. They are always here when you need them most for anything from the maintenance to the office.
You are too petty! When us my lease up? How much notice do I need? I don’t like the fact that I told you a heard of elegant stuff live above. This my notice!
This review would have been better but we had NUMEROUS issues and then were charged for them following move out on top of the very high rent ($1600+). I am grumpy at them but want to leave the Most honest review possible. Pros: the places on a surface level are super nice. Good community very doggo friendly. The apartments look nice, they are fairly spacious, the staff seems all very nice, its well kept generally. The maintenance team is super nice and helpful even though they dont always have the power to fix what is needed, they try to make it right. The club house is nice. They are communicative and the payment portal is good. They had this guy Kevin who was great we were sad to see him go. Now for the CONS: The complex has MANY break ins and thefts. while we were there a apartment was broken into in broad daylight, many car thefts and break ins, etc. - the parking is inadequate for the amount of people unless you pay a bunch for a small space that is covered or a small garage that you are not allowed to store stuff in. If you get home later than 9pm you end up walking across the whole place to get to your building - the ground floor in the buildings (at least our building) flooded multiple times and took DAYS to fix leaving us with tons of loud fans, odor, and BOTH bedrooms unlivable. we didnt get a discount or anything for the days we werent able to be there and we were told to talk to our renters insurance about a hotel and now that we have moved out, they want to charge us for a carpet replacement and deodorizer. Happy to pay some dues to pet damages as thats normal and reasonable to an extent. But our carpets were soaked multiple times for days at a time and not much more than a bad-aid fix so we get to pay for the replacement - lame. We also had squirrels in our walls and in our drier (one ran around inside our place and the other died in the wall) The drier was replaced with an even OLDER drier that took 2 cycles to dry each load - even small loads. They have like 12 walk-throughs a year for the city and various other items which is fine to keep the place to code but one of the inspections they needed to fix items and again we got maybe a band-aid fix not true replacements. it felt invasive quite honestly to have so many walk throughs. They have poop stations for dogs and supply baggies which is nice, but there are SO many dogs and lazy owners that there is regularly poop EVERYWHERE even though their grounds-keeping team is wonderful and works too hard for lazy folks. I wouldnt allow children to play in the grass due to the sheer saturation of dog mess. Honestly, The place is nice enough the staff is nice enough, the public club house is nice and the coffee is good, the pool is good but pretty cold even though they say its heated, the groundskeepers they hire out are wonderful and kind. A lot of people complain on the activity page about noise and seem to be uptight but thats anywhere - we really never had an issue with nose. I am grumpy with the move out process and that the nice-items end up being mostly surface. Its not a bad place but be aware that they will gouge you upon move out. Thats my honest review. enjoy Griffis. I paid and we are out and will not be back due to the above statements.PS. the charges at move out are on top of the massive deposit and non refundable pet deposit you put down. So theres that. youre paying 2x over for ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING.
A response to your response to Audrey Blair. I met with your representative already. I was told that if we want a month to month the rent will increase to an level that is simply not affordable. And, a short term lease will cost even more. I was also told that we must give a drop dead move date, and if our new home is not ready, too bad. Willing to work with us? I dont think so............. Unhappy tenant!
Im extremely upset, because i pay almost 2k a month, i get in my swim suit, go to the hot tub and its freezing. Ive been here almost 2 years and the hot tub is almost never working. I shouldnt have to deal with an un- working hot tub, since we all pay enough to make them millionaires. Please fix hot tub, and but a freaking cover for it..... might keep the heat in (rocket science) dont come here, there are better options for cheaper
We enjoy living here. It is close to everything in the area. The service is great in case I need it. Tim is the man!
I have a remodeled unit, so my personal space is nice, but I must say they take terrible care of this property. The landscaping is poorly kept and they leave simple clean-ups/fixes for months. The pool area is a turn off as well. The rent is affordable and Ive never had any personal issues with the staff.
The staff, grounds, clubhouse, package lockers all make living here super easy and enjoyable. Quiet, beautiful gardens and wonderful BBQ areas, nice pool, and wonderfully updated apartments.
Great staff and I love the clubhouse and facilities. They were very knowledgeable about their apartments and their competitors, which was very helpful in deciding on a new home.
This place is the best. The only problem I have with it which Ive already went to the office about is there is never any parking. I have to carry my newborn and everything I need 7 buildings away from my own apartment just to get to my truck. It is now a everyday thing now. No one ever parks in the handicap. I parked there once and had to move because someone complained. Like really. When snow falls and we have ice and I have to make that walk with my son and I fall its not gonna be pretty. This is redicoulous. Im sorry but if you have more than one car park it somewhere else. We have one vehicle and there is never even one parking spot for me. Only major downfall for this place. Be prepared to walk for 5 to 10 minutes just to get to your vehicle. Wish we had signed car spot that make sense too. Oh well. Right?
I have lived in this complex for 2 years and I have never had a problem with staff or parking. They have a great Egg system that protects your packages and gives your a code by text / email, the yoga studio is awesome, the gym is great for a apartment gym, no barbells but good cable machine, leg press, and dumbbell weights up to 50 pounds. My favorite part of living here is the maintenance crew. One of them Tim Medina is always a pleasant person and is always happy to help, never seems irritated by my requests or apartment issues. Always fixes things in a timely manner, easily requested on the Apartment portal. And Fernado Im making you pancakes! He is also a pleasure to be around. Great apartment complex, no complaints!
The maintenance crew does wonders for the community. Tim, in specific, is very professional and always does an outstanding job! I couldn’t ask for a better service. Thanks Tim!
I feel so fortunate to have moved here. Frank, Tim, Felippe, & Bobby handle my maintenance needs efficiently and always go the extra mile to help. Lauren, Delphia, & Kevin have all saved me on many occasions when I have technology disasters. It is obvious that these folks like their jobs. They are always positive and patient.
Most times when you move into a new apartment the office staff is super attentive...Until you move in.Then they could care less because they have filled that apartment and their job is done. That is NOT AT ALL the case with the staff here at Griffis Westminster. I have had a few things come up since moving in that I needed to contact the office for and they are super prompt in getting back as well as helping get things resolved. Big shout out to Kevin Castillo. Not only has he taken the time to remember us as well as our furbabies but when ever we need anything he jumps at the chance to help us and is very thorough in the process. Not only does the office staff here at Griffis rock but so does the Maintenance team. The few times they have had to send in a maintenance request they were super friendly and very quick while making sure that their work was high quality and not just momentarily fixed. Over all, I would have to say that this is the BEST community that I have lived in thus far! Thanks so much guys and keep up the amazing work!
Older apartments but recently renovated rooms and club house. Friendly staff and reasonable maintenance responses. Prices are right in line with other apartment buildings in their area.
Disappointed ResidentsWe’ve been residents for 2+ years and moved in because of the value and cleanliness of the community at that time. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill. While the office team tries to be helpful, there are some things that have left us frustrated and disappointed.Initially, the grounds were impeccable, now the grass is patchy and often littered with dog feces. The trees and bushes are in desperate need of a trim and overgrow the sidewalk in places. The attractive amenities such as pool and hot tub are often closed for repairs. As of this post, the pool and hot tub have been closed for over a month.Parking on the west side of the community is always full after 7-8 pm forcing residents to pay extra for a carport if they want nearby access to their homes.Crime and vehicle break-ins have been an issue. Both our lease renewals in the last 2 years had shocking increases at over $200 monthly – that’s over 12% and the industry average is about 6%. The leasing office justifies this by saying that our rate was lower than normal at move in, and now we must catch up to market rates. Deceptive marketing at best, bait and switch at worst. This year, Carports and Pet Rent both increased by $10 monthly – which was only mentioned in the fine print of the renewal. These increases are 30-40% each. We’ve had problems with the resident portal twice but ONLY when we tried to prepay rent. Both times we were charged hefty late fees. Figured out after the second time that even if you get a confirmation screen that your payment was successfully scheduled, you won’t receive an email confirmation, vs. when you pay between the 1st and 3rd and a confirmation is auto-generated. With prepayment, the money WON’T be withdrawn and they’ll charge you a late fee. We’d love to stay, as the location is convenient and our apartment, though unrenovated, has what we need.Unfortunately, we’re beyond frustrated at being charged more for less and paying late fees caused by technical glitches we can’t prove. I’m sad to even write this review because we used to love calling Griffis home. Now, it’s become a source of stress because we can’t trust that our payments are going through and we’re embarrassed to have company over due to the state of the grounds, parking and amenities.
Ive been living in this community now for a year and a half and signed a lease for another 13 months. It was a little rocky during the management transition I think, but since the re-organization I have to say that the ladies in the office really take care of my needs fast!! The entire team is first rate, professional, courteous, responsive, and really getting into their flow. I have been treated sincerely and respectfully in any issue that may have presented itself with my apartment, like changing AC filters, old garbage disposals and the like. Has anyone tried the new latte machine? omg! delicious!I saw the ratings on Google and believe it to be unfair per the new team, and experience I have had here. Thanks for taking great care of your residents staff!
Tim, the maintenance gentleman, is fantastic! He really does a great job and I would steal him as an employee if I could. He is polite, kind, and truly works hard to please tenants. The office on the other hand, is all about getting a dollar. After my first year, the complex went up about 150-200 a MONTH on my rent. Now they want another 200 a MONTH. WOW, ludicrous. However, this is a very nice place to live, great pool, neighbors arent bad and the security patrol is responsive if there is shannanogins. And my roommate let them know a month ago we were moving. I work remotely and am not available during business hours to give notice. Only after the third request did they say I could send a message on the portal saying I could notify tmetof my intent to vacate. Now they want 85 per day for those 10 days. Document everything with this place. Oh and I went almost a year with a dryer that didnt heat so it took up to 3 hours to dry a load of clothes. After 5-9 maintenance requests they put a new one in.
The apartment itself was not bad, but I agree with Noahs review below, management sucks! I will say Jeana, the Asst Manager is the only one that even pretends to care what you have to say. Rocky and the Regional Manager, Ellie are useless. Neither has any compassion at all for the tenants, so not sure why they are collecting paychecks.I was a tenant that always paid my rent on time, management never received any complaints about me from other tenants and only requested maintenance when absolutely necessary. I discussed a number of issues about one specific tenant in my building with Rocky and Jeana, but nothing was ever done to rectify the problem. The complex appears to attract a more professional level clientele, but many of the residents have no consideration for others or seem to take into consideration they have neighbors living in close quarters. My move out experience was similar to Noahs. I explicitly asked upon giving my required two months written notice if there were any additional fees I would owe other than last month utilities. I was told by Rocky no, no other fees will be owed. I moved out and three months later received a letter from a collection agency. No prior attempts from anyone in management to discuss the situation, just sent to collections. I have an excellent credit rating and will be furious if this effects that in any way. I disputed the charges and it was escalated to Ellie, whose reply was a simple you owe the money, regardless that her staff misinformed me at move out. Only when I told her I would escalate to Baron Properties Management did she even offer to speak to me about it.There are a number of apartment complexes in the area and this complex should NOT be on the top of anyone list to rent from.
Very nice apartments but the management can get moody at times and the neighbors can be irritating
Good apartments...a little pricey, but excellent maintenance.
Your management sucks. When we moved out we tried a number of times to settle up and pay any fees we owed for breaking our lease early just to get told that someone would drop a bill off or call us and after asking 8 times for some sort of bill we received nothing. We then drop our keys off when we were all moved out and asked if we could settle our bill and nobody was competent enough to tells us what we owed or take our money. Then several month later I get a notice from a collector saying we owe you guys money and if we dont pay it will negatively affect our credit. How dare you. Try to hire competent workers who can get it right the first time instead of sending collectors after us and threatening our credit. While I am at it, your snow removal sucks too. tThe stairs leading to the parking lot were a death trap for days after a snow storm. I am shocked that someone has not broken their neck yet. If the sun never came out those stairs would be an ice block for weeks. Also charging me for a view was a crock too. The only view I had was of the building across from me. You call grass with a sidewalk and two tress a view? Get real. I would never live here again or advise anyone I know to live here.
My boyfriend and I have lived here for about a year now. We are pretty happy with it. The layout of our apartment is amazing, we have a Bradburn. The laundry room and soaking tub were the selling points for us. Walk-in closet in the bedroom is a bonus as well. Laundry room is huge and a great place for storage, soaking tub is also huge. Neighbors are quiet and maintenance is awesome. Problems are always taken care of in a professional and timely manner. We were having issues with hot water and got a brand new water heater the same day we placed the work order! (Thanks Tim!) Even on the weekends maintenance is quick to respond and gets the problem taken care of! We live on the south-east corner or the complex and never have problems with parking although some other areas do. I love the online portal where rent can be paid electronically and neighbors can talk to each other. The club house is always in great shape. We like to play pool there every now and then. Gym bathroom always has soap and TP. I wish the floors in the yoga room were mopped a little more frequently. Pool area is really nice, there is a soda machine and most of the summer there are corn-hole boards available to play. Leasing team in the office is always helpful and fast to respond. Delphia has really helped us not only get moved in but taken care of every issue/request/question we have had. Rent and utilites are always explained so you know exactly what you are paying for. The reason for four stars instead of five is the grounds. Its an awesome complex but the landscaping needs some help. There are rocks that have gravitated away from the areas they are suppose to be. There are certain spots on the grounds where water pools and gets mildew-y. The complex is very pet friendly which is a good thing but the feces is a bad thing. With summer coming up there is no doubt in my mind the grounds will get a clean up. We are almost to the end of our lease and our re-sign price wasnt a ridiculous mark up. We are happy, hopefully that doesnt change.Thank you Griffis team!
The previous owners were unprofessional, there are paint splatters on the bathroom doors, the walls are paper thin, the counters that are made to look like cheap granite are peeling away, and there is just about no storage space. They had a bucket sealed in the kitchen full of disgusting water to fix a sink issue. They never actually fixed anything. The new owners are so so much better! The way they are remodeling the apartments is amazing, real counter tops, all of it is well done. The office looks amazing now as well, and most of all, the staff is kind and attentive. They take care of the maintenance calls fairly soon, and actually FIX the problem rather than providing a temporary solution. The way the apartments are built is frustrating, but the new owners make it as bearable as possible.
We have lived at Griffis Westminster for almost two years.During the duration of our stay, we have encountered a number of issues. Some have been resolved in a very timely manner and others required weeks of communication and visits from repairmen. Last summer, we were without a working air conditioner for much of the summer, but once it was finally replaced, Griffis was very helpful to provide some reimbursement for our high energy bills and lack of cooling. According to the lease agreement, smoking is prohibited in each unit. However, there are a number of people who choose to smoke on their patios, which makes it impossible to ever leave your windows open during the day. We have also witnessed occupants smoking inside their unit. It is not uncommon to see an ashtray full of cigarette butts or empty beer cans as you pass by first-level apartments. Squirrels are a major issue here, so do not be surprised to find your plants torn from their pots, even if you are on the upper levels. As for some of the things we enjoy about living at Griffis Westminster:- It is VERY quiet in our third-level unit and we rarely hear our neighbors unless a door is allowed to slam shut, a dog is barking or they are nailing something into a wall.- The workout facility and the rest of the clubhouse have been recently renovated. The on-demand workout room and cardio equipment are great when you dont want to trek to the gym. The weight equipment is lacking, but its not much less than you would expect to find at a hotel workout room.- Having a washer and dryer in our unit was another selling point. Who wants to take their laundry up and down three flights of stairs on a regular basis?- We are happy with the room sizes and, while there is no outside storage or garages available, there is plenty of closet space and we rent a storage unit nearby.Overall, the rent seems to be a bit high for the quality, but we have chosen to stay until we are prepared to purchase our first home. The new staff and renovations have increased the value and we love our quiet mountain view apartment. We can be downtown in minutes by catching a nearby bus to Union Station and hiking in Boulder is also a short drive away!
This is the worst place in the world. The appliance are cheap. Bathroom was falling apart. Small children jumping and running in the above unit. Management is unfriendly and is bothered when asking for assistance. The worst part is the parking. I had several friends over and all five visitor spots were taken. Every single one of their cars were towed. The towing company is in southeast Denver and cost $250 each. Horrible experience. Scum of the earth parking nazis. Worse than Boulder. Stay away.
Worst management ever. Unresponsive, rude, etc. My unit was the wrong one when I showed up to move in. Amenities were broken/out of order/closed constantly. Utility policies were not communicated and resulted in huge over charging, which I was forced to pay and 4 months later after Ive moved out have still not been reimbursed for. Have been emailing and calling continuously with no response. DO NOT LIVE HERE. It may look like a nice place but the management makes the entire experience a total nightmare.
The new management does a good job of completing maintenance requests quickly. The grounds are kept up with and snow removal is alright. The gym is smaller than it looks online but it has the basics. I like the new package notification system (they email and text you).I wish I would have done more research into the location because right behind the complex is a train track, and the train goes by anywhere from 0-3 times per day, at ALL times of the day. It is LOUD. I sleep with ear plugs so I dont get jolted awake in the middle of the night. I think I have gotten used to it a little, but it still startles me every now and then. Sometimes the whistle is only a few times, and other times it is a long continuous honk.
Absolutely horrible! Our AC has been broke for over 2 weeks and they are telling us it will be another month and a half before it gets fixed. We pay for AC and and cant even use it at the hottest point of the year. By the time it gets fixed summer will be over.
Kevin is a great helper and friendly
Horrible Terrible I totally agree with Kevin the below comment they towed me my gf and my moms car when all three were registered as residential vehicles that was 2 years ago and I still remember the horrors I went through with this jipsies dont rent from there I assure you u will be sorry
