Amazing - just moved to area so searched for a place with good reviews. Called for appointment and got in right away. Som did my my pedicure - it was amazing - great foot massage and she was so precise with her work. Penny (owner) did my manicure with dip. She is so knowledgeable and so cares for her customers. She had me cracking up with her stories of how she came to be in business for herself. Great clean pampering place to be.

Nail Lounge is clean and very big. They’re busy most the time so make an appointment if you want to go. But they are nice and fun!

I very rarely write a review...okay, make that never...but the experience I had a this nail salon was hands down the best I have ever had. My friend and I went to get manis and pedis (on a whim), and despite not having an appt and they were busy, but they were accommodating worked us right in. I received service from Destiny and my friend had his nails worked on by Tiff. Tiff was hilarious and Destiny, while not as outgoing, was very pleasant and fun. The energy of this place was upbeat, positive and there was laughter from every customer there; many of whom were regular customers and I can certainly see why. Every experience should be as fabulous as the one we had! Thanks ladies!

Came into this salon after an out of town business seminar. Had looked up highest ratings prior to my visit and was not disappointed with my experience. Definitely adding to these positive reviews with one of my own. The shop is very clean, I was promptly greeted and engaged by the store owner, as well as talked to by another associate to uncover my needs prior to being advised to take a seat. The shop was very clean! As well as the tools used were cleaned in between use. I was offered a beverage and the owner even removed my prior polish during my wait. There was a great selection of music playing during the visit and the nail tech was very gentle with the tools and had an excellent attention to detail. She made sure to understand what I was wanting before proceeding with the process. And when ran into a question the associates communicated very well with each other to find the best steps (ex: for matte color results). No complaints whatsoever! Excellent staff, very personable owner, clean shop, fantastic results!

Missie offered great customer service and I loved the Dip Nails. Penny has a great atmosphere, cater to the customers, and very friendly staff that is highly qualified. I would recommend making this your go to nail salon!

Visited as soon as they opened on a Saturday in an emergency when my engagement pictures were suddenly moved up and my nails were in despair. They wrapped me up immediately to get rid of my old dip manicure and promised they’d help get my nails done (a simple gel manicure), no problem. Despite their busy Saturday AM, and my EXTREME lack of time (had to switch from gel to regular mani halfway through) they were amazingly understanding and accommodating time-wise, as well as giving me a fantastic manicure. I promised I’d be back to get the real deal done, and went the very next weekend! Got a pedicure and a dip manicure and a complimentary drink. The techs are knowledgeable and friendly. Von is hilarious and does a great job!Prices are fair and seriously—best customer service from all the nail salons that I’ve been to in the WDM/DSM area! Will definitely be a regular.

Love The Nail Lounge! Everyone is extremely friendly and my nails always look amazing. They have so much variety for colors and the dip lasts FOREVER! I’m a weight lifting coach so I’m hard on my nails and they always look so great. Highly recommend The Nail Lounge!!!!

The ladies here were so wonderful! They took the time to get me all fixed up after putting on acrylic nails (never again). Unfortunately I didnt book an appointment today so I had to wait on & off. But even with waiting they were super attentive. Making sure I was welcomed. I got powdered nails for the first time ever and Im absolutely in love with them! I will definitely be going back!

My first time at this salon was a couple of week ago. I got a manicure with dip powder and I was in love! I have only tried dip once before at another salon and had a bad experience. I decided to give it another shot at The Nail Lounge and it was the best decision Ive ever made. It last forever and I have been given the ability to let my natural nails grow longer! Vone and Penny are amazing! The whole staff is very friendly and funny! I was smiling the whole time. I will be there within the next week or so!

I love the service I get here at the nail lounge! Ive been here a few times and each time my nails look great! I always get a warm greeting and delicious coffee when Im there. Theres a variety of colors and for the service, the price isnt too bad. I always look forward to getting my nails done for the month

Although everyone there made me feel welcome, Im never going back! The lady who did my pedicure did not do a good job at all and it was pointless. The other lady who did my fill, did not do a good job making sure my nails was even or my polish look good. If youre not good at pedicures then dont do pedicures. If you dont have the patience to make sure nails look good, then dont do nails. Money wasted, lesson learned!

My appointment was at 9:30, and I got there about 9:20 and they started right away, no wait or anything. They were very inventive throughout the whole visit and really made sure that I was comfortable, even asking several times if I needed anything to drink. They did a beautiful job on both the manicure and pedicure. Penny did my manicure, and I don’t know the name of the lady who did the pedicure but she did a wonderful job as well. Most nail places the people don’t look happy at all, but not at this place, they smiled and made conversation and made sure that the job was perfect. I live in Pella and drove an hour to get to the nail lounge and I can honestly say it was worth the drive and every ounce of gas. You know everyone has that go to nail salon they go to and I think I have found mine. Worth the drive, gas, and price. Love this place.

Had a bit of a mixed experience. The pedicure and dip mani both look great! However the woman who did the manicure was a little unprofessional, and I’m not very happy with the color. It doesn’t look anything like it did on the sample. Why have the samples out if the actual color looks nothing like it? The sample I looked at was a pale lavender color with glitter and on my nails it looks like just clear glitter, which isn’t what I wanted. The actual manicure looks great though. She did a good job of sanding it down so it doesn’t feel too thick on my nails.The owner of the place is awesome and made fresh crab Rangoons for everyone, and they were delicious!

Penny and her team were very welcoming and offer a variety of beverages. My friend and I went here for the first time for pedicures. Attention was paid to difficult areas, the shop was clean and the massage was amazing. We will be coming back for sure. We initially chose this place because there was no wait and also located near Waterfront restaurant.

UPDATENot only did I get a personal apology, but I have not had one unpleasant experience since, with an accumulation of at least 15 visits between me, my husband, and friends. I will continue to go because of high quality work regardless of who helps you, and the fun family friendly environment!(4 months ago)I have been here 3 times now. The first time with the guy with short hair was amazing the second time I felt rushed but this time, terrible the two staff, other than Penny, were not welcoming I came in and the guy with long hair looked at me and didnt say a word. The younger girl who did my nails didnt even speak.

I stopped by The Nail Lounge to have my nails done when my other place was closed....I loved it so much that they are now the only place I go.

My husband and I were stranded in Des Moines because of road closures, so we decided to go together to get his first pedicure. The staff at the Nail Lounge was kind, courteous, and accommodating. The woman who did my husbands pedicure did everything she could to make it extra special. I would recommend this nail salon to anyone in the Des Moines area or those traveling through looking for a relaxing way to kill time!

I just got the best mani and pedi from Ora at The Nail Lounge! After 2 bad trips to my previous preferred nail salon, I decided it was time for a change. I am SO glad I went into The Nail Lounge! Right away I was greeted cheerfully by Diane and Ora and offered some wine! Ora gave me a beautiful dip nail manicure and the BEST foot rub I have ever had, I kid you not! These ladies were so sweet, friendly and welcoming! I will definitely be going back again as this will be my NEW nail spot! I highly, highly recommend The Nail Lounge to anyone looking for cheerful staff, a relaxing atmosphere and great prices! They offer a wide variety of services and these girls are very talented. The employees are extremely personable and professional. Beautiful facility gorgeous view. Does not have that nail salon smell. They do not skimp and go out of thier way to make you feel at home!

My daughter and I went in for mani/pedis to celebrate her birthday. They treated her like a princess and gave her exactly what she wanted for her nails and toes. Penny did an amazing job on my pedicure and my nail dip! Customer service here is above and beyond any other nail salon in the area. They are so friendly and really go above and beyond to give you what you want! Prices are incredibly reasonable as well. Highly recommend!

Never going back! The staff is nice and all but the nail quality is horrible! i called for the price of regular acrylic nails and the lady on the phone said 30 but ended up charging me 15 more because she used better products on me without even asking if it was okay to. I asked for coffin shaped nails and she gave me uneven shaped, bumpy and a crooked mess. I wish i could have my money back I have to live with these bumpy uneven mess for 3 weeks it is not worth the money.
