We used to love this place when Jade and Andrew ran it. The quality and professionalism was lacking our last visit. Exclept for Lee who always does a wonderful job. We paid over 50 dollars for a dip manicure with extensions that were way too small, bumpy, and shaping was not what was asked for, and gel nail polish was applied without being asked. In the following pictures you will see my moms dip nails AFTER she tried to shape them herself.

They do a great job and they are so nice! I love going there. I highly recommend! I have never had a bad experience.

Jade not only squeezed me in last minute, close to closing mind you, but she took my vision and executed it flawlessly! She made sure I was happy with what she was doing every step of the way, and oh boy was I. It has been years since I had had my nails done by a salon due to most salons trashing my nails, but I have had a horrible week and couldnt be bothered to do my own. Made my week melt away with her eagerness to get exactly what I wanted on my nails and DELIVERING! I will most certainly be returning. These three weeks cantgo by fast enough. Thanks for making me feel normal again, Jade!

I cannot say enough great things about this nail salon. I was in a rush to schedule six appointments for a wedding (all at the same time) on Friday and didnt call until Tuesday, and they fit us all in!!! They had fabulous service and high quality manis and pedis. My nails have never looked better. And it was all for a good price. I would highly recommend them and will be returning in the future.

Jade is simply the best artist and designer! Quality job and creativity done right. She’s very gentle. I got a shorter manicure And dip style and then we added a light shimmer pink accent nail with holographic laminated hearts (posted photo). The other nails were white with holographic glitter/foil tips/edges! Best I’ve gotten anywhere and good value. I gave a nice tip to show my appreciation! Everyone was masked and sterilizing.

I enjoyed getting a Pedi and nails yesterday with my daughter. It was more than I usually pay, but not bad. Really nice people.

I have been going to Purelux for over a year and they are hands down the best in Des Moines! I tried out several other nail salons before going them and the competition is not even comparable. Their prices are reasonable and their quality of work is exceptional. Not to mention, their staff is the best!

I havent had my nails done in 15 years. I got them done 3 weeks ago at another salon but needed a fill and pedicure so my daughter booked me with Jade, today. I will NEVER go to another salon! They are so nice, professional and their services are top notch! My nails look amazing...my other set were terrible! Book an appointment, u wont be disappointed!

Whenever I need my nails done I always come here. No matter who you get your nails always look amazing. Jade has an incredibly memory and knows all of her customers and the littlest things about them. I cant get dip because it doesnt look right on my nails and she remembered it before I could even say anything. I love this place :)

First time customer here.Ridiculous price for the most basic acrylic nail set. Had one of the male nail tech’s do my nails and he was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Will not be returning nor recommending this place of business to anyone based on how I was treated.

If you get a pedicure there they dont give you one that is what you paid for. They dont run the machine long enough maybe 2 minutes if that. It not worth your money. And they are rude and disrespectful

I absolutely love Purelux Nails & Spa! Jade and the rest of the staff do an excellent job. They are friendly and take their time on your nails. The salon is very clean as well. I have been to Purelux three or four times since September to get a wide range of services done to my nails and I have absolutely loved every nail job I have received. Love the massage chairs, love the polish options and love the service. Everyone was really nice. Got a deluxe pedicure and eyebrow wax. The foot/leg massage was wonderful and perfect. And thats definitely one of the main reasons I get a pedicure. Love it and will be back.

Im new to west Des lMoines and was looking for a new nail salon. Its not the nicest on the inside, but my pedicure was amazing. She took her time to make sure my nails looked amazing and the massage was great. I havent gotten a pedicure like that in ages! Ill definitely return

I this is the only place I will have my nails and pedicures. It is always a great experience from the time I walk in till the time I leave. Jade is amazing and always goes the mile to make sure I am happy when I leave. In the 3 yrs I have been getting pedicures here I have never had an infection. Jade, the owner is a jewel! She will try to work you in no matter how busy they are. She cares about your experience in her salon. I have had nothing but a professional, sanitized, enjoyable time here. Twit (her Vietnamese name) is my manicurist, I absolutely adore her! I went out of state, my mother in law offered to pay to have my nails done, I declined because I only want Twit to do my nails. She is thorough, precise, a perfectionist at her art. I give her 5 stars!

This is the best nail salon in the DSM area, hands down. Their customer service is great; the staff know their customers by name and always make me feel welcome! The prices are great and the polish lasts, regardless of the service! It’s always super clean, bright, and relaxing. You’re missing out if you don’t come here for your nail services!

Best salon I have been to!

I was charged well over 60 dollars for a dip powder that didn’t even turn out the way I wanted it. On their Facebook website it says the dip is 40 dollars. The guy said he could do it and the design turned out sloppy. I asked for my nails to be short and they left them way to long and to wide. Never filed them down and there was so many bubbles.... I honestly will never go here again. I’ve been to a lot of different nail salons, and this is by far the worse place to go. Over charges you and can’t even give you what you want.

I went there Sunday May 5. Jade who I was told is the manager. She did my nails and was on the phone the entire time. She made no eye contact with me. She was engaged with the man she was talking to. She finally told me to wash my hands. I said oh you talking to me. I had no idea. All she said was she was sorry. I called today May 6 and she said what do you want me to do. I said your the manager you figure it out. Dead silence. I hung up. I love the salon but wont be back. I will spend my money elsewhere. I suggest you do the same.

I received a mani/ pedi from my boyfriend and was totally surprised at the quality of service! I had the guy who works there and he took his time and was so patient! His work was great! I got the deluxe pedicure and it was amazing plus a glass of wine is always nice! The massage chairs were great and his leg massage was just perfect! I will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone!

Unfortunately the Purelux Nails & Spa gave my daughter a bad infection. Her foot was red, which eventually turned into cellulitis. She had to be on antibiotics for a month. I would NEVER recommend this establishment to anyone.

I came here to get my nails done for my birthday and it was awful. I have been to many salons in des moines and this is the worst. My nails were uneven and the color looked like it was done by a 4 year old

I got sheelac manicure on thursday, it looked nice but by the next day 3 of my nails were shiped i went in and they fixed it but it was a quik horrible fix u can tell where it starts and where it ends. never going there again.

I am a teenage girl...My friend and I get acrylics done about once a month.I saw the reviews and was excited to try out PureLux, but I have never been so disaapointed in a Nail Salon. My experience was absolutely terrible. We were treated with disrespect simply because we were young, and rushed out the door, they never asked how we wanted them shaped and they demanded we payed before they painted our nails, it was very insulting and our nails look terrible . Just because we werent a reoccurring older customer we werent given proper treatment. I would not recommend this nail salon to anybody.

My experience with this nail shop was horrible!!! I received a full set and polish change on my toes that was not worth the amount paid. The person who applied the full set was ok in personality but when letting her know that the nail wasnt completely glued down she said it would be ok and kept going with the application. Shortly after the nail began to lift which drew moisture underneath the nail; which is unacceptable especially with a new set!!! During my initial visit a younger employee was rude and disrespectful to myself and another client as well. Today when calling to speak to a person in authority and discuss the issues in a professional manner I was hung up on multiple times!!! Nevertheless, I will only return to this establishment to have them correct their mistakes and would never recommend them to anyone! So Caveat Emptor!!!!
