This is a great nail shop right located conveniently in Jordan Creek Mall. They are very professional and helpful. I went there for a manicure and pedicure and loved how it turned out. The acrylics were great quality and I went back for a fill about 3 weeks later even though I could have even waited longer. I noticed one small flaw before the top coat on my fill and it was quickly fixed properly right away. The nails are shaped and filed perfectly and the white has stayed white on my French tip. I have read some of the comments on here and I think they aren’t a true representation of the professionalism and quality this nail salon provides. If you want to check it out I suggest going on a weekday to avoid the rush. I believe you will enjoy your experience and want to come back.

Very expensive, for the way they looked. My daughter got her nails done for her birthday, when she was visiting her friend and thought that they looked decent. However, the owner and many of the employees hurrassed us into writing a 5 star review on her friends phone for a 5 dollar discount. The lady that did my daughters finger nails said her cuticles were dry, so she shaved them off. My daughter at that moment did not realize that it hurt that much, because it wasnt to bad. Then later that day this is what her nails looked like, (see picture below.) Her cuticles were bleeding. Will not go back next time we visit.

Save your $ and do the pedicure yourself!A 5 year old could have cut snd painted nails better the the lady that did my pedicure!My granddaughter selected a light blue color and when I looked over her toes were being painted bright pink.When we walked in only one client, that shouldhave been an indication of maybe not a good place.Never Again!

Freindly staff. 65 got me a complete pedi for my 50th birthday with bright yellow nail polish. Wife got red. Staff encouraged me to be my best self.

Went here for dad daughter date. Both got pedicures. I had only wanted regular pedicure, but was talked into deluxe. Great choice. Came with foot massage and hot towel wraps. Didnt know my feet needed that so badly. $100 for the two of us. Will come again for sure!

I spent $50 on nails and i asked for coffin shaped nails but she no and then when the lady finished they looked absolutely TERRIBLE! I was in there with my friends and it took and one of half hours for dip. She was supposed to clean out from under my nails and she it looks horrible. my friend has nail polish on her knuckles. ALL AROUND TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I got my nails done for prom with my friend and the owner did mine. She did tips on mine instead of a form, like my friend got. I asked for a coffin shape and only half were coffin and the rest were square. My nail design was smudged, the lines were messy and some of the colors mixed. My friend got very different treatment. She got her nails done on forms, hers turned out how she wanted them and all of her nails looked uniform. We both payed $60 each for 2 full sets. I am very unhappy with their service. Both of us will not be returning.

Lady couldnt speak hardly any English and didnt understand when I said I liked length and kept cutting shorter. Nails are all different thicknesses. They look awful 😕

Never again will I use the lady I got I dont know whats going on in that place. I paid $80 for manicure and pedicure and my polish was not dry yet and she had me to put my shoes on now just 2 days before my trip to Las Vegas for my birthday I gotta fix this. Best place in town! They do a thorough job on pedicures...I’ve been in 2-3 times now and every time it’s great! Polish stays and staff is very friendly ... definitely recommend ... Ask for Kali ...she does Amazing 👍🏼

Worst experience of my life. Granted they were busy they did not clean up my nails or cut of hangnails or anything. They did not check each finger on both hands to make sure they were even. They did not go down all the way on my nails either making my nails look like they were done a long time ago and grown out. Some of my nails were pointy some were rounded if someone can tell me how to add an image i will you will be mindblown on how horrible these nails actually are. I paid 60 bucks for these nails i never treat myself or do my nails. First time doing my nails in forever and i hate them so bad i literally cried.

The nail technician was in a rush, made me bleed multiple times on different fingers. Very sloppy paint job. The finished result was very bubbled! Will never go back. I get my nails done often but was on a different side of town so decided to just give them a try. Very expensive! About $10 more than what I normally pay. I wish I would have looked at reviews prior to going since Im seeing a lot of the same complaints!

Waited over an hour even though I scheduled an appointment ahead of time. They did not offer anything while waiting. The manager kept lying to people about the wait time. Three people got up and left while I was there. When they finally did my nails the color I picked out on the swatch was not the color they were using, even though the number was correct. They had several color examples with the same number. The manicurist cut me several times to where I was bleeding. I only had 3/10 fingers that were not cut and bleeding. I asked for a discount and they said no. I told the woman to ask her manager and he gave me only $5 off. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE.

I got solid color acrylics, I had 2 nails break off within the first day of having them done. The nail was flimsy and bubbly, and definitely not worth $50. The gal doing my nails was sweet, but maybe just not experienced enough.

This was the worst experience in a nail salon. The technician clearly did not want to do the pedicure and manicure. My eight year old granddaughter could paint nails better. I asked her to fix the areas she didn’t even paint and she did not fix them. The manicure includes removing cuticle which was main reason for it and that was not done either. Please do not waste time and money here. This is the first time I have left a review anywhere so you know it was bad!!

I got my nails done here four weeks ago. The service I received was solid color dip. The quality of my service was awful. My nails were so thick and lumpy. The staff was very nice but bad quality. Will not return. If you’re looking for a good place to get you nails done near Jordan Creek, I highly recommend Oscar Nail Bar.

When I take time for myself to completely relax and splurge on something seldomly, I dont want talked to the entire session. I dont want the conversation. It takes the focus off of my massage and its a huge pet peeve. A nice How are you today? and Thank you, have a great day. is all I need. The woman was sweet, took her job seriously and I truly liked her, I didnt have the heart to tell her I wasnt up for engaging. But my nails looked great so 5 stars for that! :)

I took my daughter to get her first set of nails and every single thing she asked for the lady said no. She wanted a certain length...not good, she wanted ceirtain shape... not good, certain design...not good. This lady always found a reason for not doing the nails the way my daughter wanted. She ended up doing whatever she felt like doing and the nails were hideous and chunky looking. They charged $50 for that!!! Never going there ever again.

Very unsatisfied with my manicure. Nail tech was rude and acted like I was annoying her coming in (was the only person in the salon at the time)She did a horrible job- a 3 year old could have done better. She did not listen to what I wanted and said i had baby fingers that were hard to paint. So disappointed. Was so embarrassed at how terrible my manicure looked i had it removed within days.Do not recommend this place- only thing they have going for them is the convenience of being located inside the mall.

Oh my god! Owner yelled at me when I told her that I had been quoted ten dollars to paint my 4 year olds nails. I specifically asked, how much to paint her nails? They said $10 feet too? I said sure why not I mean for $10 they really should paint her feet and hands. Especially since its just polish not a manicure or anything. She charged me $21 to paint my toddlers hands and feet with the polish we brought from home. I was told $10 and regardless of whether that was an accurate quote she should have honored it and not yelled at me in front of my toddler. She ruined the mood of our girls date and made us feel terrible. Honestly she was really rude to my toddler the whole time she was painting for that 7.5 minutes too. My daughter asked her what is your name and a few other comments and questions and was so excited. This owner never smiled or said anything nice or anything at all! Just ignored her.. I would never have come here if I hadnt promised my daughter a girls day on a holiday and our regular nail salon was closed. By the way it cost $4 (FOUR) in Waukee at the salon on Laurel and they are really sweet out there. Dont give this person your business please. Obviously they add services on without telling you they will have an extra charge. My goodness I am appalled at her behavior simply appalled.

My friend and I went to “Classic Design Nails” to get matching nails. The person that did my friends nails didn’t paint them all the way, her nails were not straight, and he cut them way shorter than what she asked for because she bites her nails. The person that did my nails did not wipe underneath my nails, she cut my fingers twice, did not file my nails correctly, and I have nail polish/ top coat all over my fingers. We did not have the experience we were hoping for and will never go back.

They were so rude to me because I could not understand them. the stars look like complete not stars. And they were very rushed.

My daughter was laughed at for not shaving her legs. She was talking about a client that had walked in. She rushed the pedi and the mani. She was very rough with my daughters feet and hands. She wasnt a pleasant person to be around at all. My daughters nails still have powder residue around her nails and under them on her hands too. We were there on Sunday. Its Wednesday. The nails were not smooth, they were wavy. I paid $200 for me and my daughter and hers was a waste. Mine was good. My person was really nice. There are professionals there, just not the lady my daughter got.

I ended up bleeding in three different spots around my nails and I have dried excess dip on my skin that is taking off my skin around my nails. The only good thing about my nails was the length and the color.

So bad. :(I work in a service industry and I HATE leaving a bad review. But I cut this service short and left in tears. My dip is uneven and so THICK. I had a very noticeable chip on the nail, she never offered to fix it.. I understand we all have bad day. But to be taking phone calls as your buffing my nails and cutting into my cuticle.. isn’t great. I’m not a huge nail person, just wanted something a little fancier for my engagement photos. I’ve learn my lesson, next time I’ll be calling somewhere else.

Cut me in two places and was not nice about it. One is so deep it’s still bleeding and I left over an hour ago. My nails do not look good either. Very disappointed I spent money on this manicure

I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone in Des Moines. They are rude, not gentle with your hands, DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS, are in a hurry and are not worth the time or money. Save your money and go somewhere else. I went with a girlfriend, had two different nail techs and both came out with awful looking nails. They’re over priced and will try to get every dollar out of you. Not even a week later my girlfriends nails ended up with an infection underneath her acrylics and had a poor polish job. My nails were also acrylics with shellac for an extra $5 that were misshaped and too short. They don’t have a corporate number to call of coarse. And when we both went back in to get them fixed the manager was rude and told me he wasn’t going to fix my nails and had nothing to offer me. The worst nail job and experience I have ever had, and I don’t complain or write reviews very often. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Wanted to take my daughter to get her nails to get done. Mind you she is only 3 and would take maybe 10 minutes at most. Made an appointment for 4:00. We showed up at 3:40 (not a big deal) early. Waited until 4:50 and left because everyone that came into the salon got in right away. Worst costumer service for a nail salon. Bottom line, if you don’t have the staff to accommodate clients don’t have people come back for scheduled appointments.

Very rude! Was told wait would be 30 minutes, it was an hour and a half! By the time they got to me, the lady rolled her eyes and was visibly upset that I was still there. From the time she started with me until the time she was done, a total of 7 minutes. Worse pedicure ever! Do not spend your money here, fair warning!

Horrible...rude nail techs, used shellac light that plugged in to massage chairs with water on the floor. Asked if they could use a battery operated light for my daughter advising how dangerous it was to use electricity around water, I was told that was the only unit they had working. I will never return here for service again.

They take their time never rushed. Walkins might need to wait but it is worth the time. The prices are fair for the service you receive. My nails always look gorgeous. If I show them a picture of a design that is what they do. Because of their time I have my own nails. I am very happy with the service. I will not go anywhere else. I recommend them highly.

The workers here were very rude, and pushy. This one lady was overly demanding as she did my nails. She cut me twice white filing my nails, and resulted in bleeding. The nail job was quite good, but I do not recommend coming here.

I came in here yesterday and they were pretty busy. He told me it would be 10 minutes, that turned into 30. Then the manager would start on my nails, stop and go to someone else. I asked for a manicure and he didnt do anything just buffed them and started painting. My nails are smudged and un even and he blamed me for moving my fingers and ruining them. I would of asked to get them off but I had already been there for two hours now. Do not go here!

Not worth the time or money. I was explaining what I did and did not like while getting a full set on (shape, thickness, etc.). I was given every excuse as to why it can’t be the way I wanted it. The lady seemed annoyed when she asked if I liked it and I said no. Did nothing to fix it, just gave more excuses on why it can’t be that way. My daughter and I decided to skip getting pedicures after seeing how our manicures turned out.

Terrible!!! Zero stars if I could! Took 2 hours, crooked tips, nail tech got up 15 times to help other customers wouldn’t shape or cut short as requested, pain is thick in spots, I will pay to have my usual salon fix the nails ASAP! Talked to 5 other customers that had the same experience so stay away!!

Not good...unless you like the feeling of bamboo shoots being stuck under your fingernails. It’s comparable...rude, belittling, in a hurry, and my fingers bled. I’ve had pedicures and manicures here before. There are 2 girls that are good in the place. I won’t be back for manicures with the worries that I’d get another rude one...

Whats the point in making an appointment for 10am when no one is here!!!! Been here since 9:45 and its now 10:30 and still dark. Just lost my business.

Stopped in for the first time for a pedicure. Very kind, friendly and helpful as I walked in the door. I think i had the best pedicure that i ever have. My feet are soft, my polish is perfect. I think this is my new nail salon.

2 of my nails are crooked. All of them are not even or one level of flatness. They cut me on my nail bed and VERY BADLY under my right pointer finger down under the bottom layer of skin. It’s a day later and I still in a lot of pain. The lady also didn’t try to hold a conversation at all. It was very awkward. She also tried kicking me out of the chair with a nail where the nail polish was transparent in spots. A waste of $50. I went with two other friends & ones pedi was ruined as soon as we left and my other friend had the same experience with her set. Lots of bumps tho. Don’t reccomend.

Jenny was the best nail tech Ive ever had. She did an amazing job. I had a ingrown nail that was really hurting, my podiatrist recommend surgically trimming the ingrown. After Jenny took care of my pedicure my ingrown magically quit hurting. Thank you so much Jenny. Prices are very reasonable and worth every penny.

My friend, who is Hispanic, and I went to have the same services and sit by each other. Everything was fine until other White people came in. The girl working on my friend sat her to the side and began working on one of the White ladies who had just entered. My nails were completed but no one had returned to complete my friend. Needless to say she asked to have what was done removed and we left. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Nail tip put on crooked. Lady said she had done nails for 17 yrs..she should retire. Nails were wider than my natural nail..she complained about the manager how he didnt know best method to apply nails. Very poor experience.

I wanted to write this review from more than year and half but havent being lazy. I ignored but still didnt forget. This is a worst nails spa i have ever been to. They made my fingers bleed which i let it go . When i asked if they have waxing services they told me they did but they do not . A lady waxed my hands ( Shockingly no room and used some curtain which is not even a place to wax) and legs for 3 hours which is way too long. Usually doesnt take more than 30 mins to wax hands and legs for some one who knows how to do it . I knew the moment she started waxing that she doesnt know how to wax as she was not moving but made me move. I had my hand half waxed so had to let her complete. My hands were terribly red and i felt pain more than usual but i thought may be because of my sensitive skin but she apparently peeled my skin off which i could figure out after i went home.It took two weeks for that redness and pain to go away as my hands became kind of like they were burnt. The people there are greedy and doesnt even bother to think if they can do it or not. i used to pay that 80$ for nothing if i knew they would peel my skin off.Be careful with this nails spa. I wouldnt ever recommend anyone here.

The lady who did my nails was very rude, did not try to converse with me, spoke a different language the whole time. I only gave a $5 tip because of her being rude to me the whole time and she rolled her eyes at me..I was nothing but polite to her the whole time regardless. When she was done she picked up my purse and shoved it in my lap demanding payment. Never again will I go there. Rude, rude, rude.

ZERO STARS!!!! MADE ME BLEED! Absolutely horrible! If I could give this negative stars I would! What an awful experience. It was my first time getting my nails done in probably 8 years. I wanted a manicure and pedicure. 8 years ago I got gel nails. Like acrylic but only the tips are acrylic and the rest is the gel. I asked them if they do the gel nails and she said yes. Said I assumed she knew what I meant. Then she told me to pick out a color. I said no I want the French tip gel nails. She said ok. So she starts my manicure and kept asking me if I wanted short or medium nails. Short. I want sports style please. She kept asking me if I wanted my real nails. I had no idea what she was referring to. She started getting mad because I wasnt understanding her. She was jerking my hands around, being rough with the tools. Wouldnt respond when I apologized for not understanding what shes saying. She left me with 7 cuts! Way to ruin my mothers day gift!! Was not relaxing. She told me one price and then charged me way more at checkout. She didnt talk kindly or friendly to me the entire time I was for both the manicure and pedicure. She kept talking to her co workers in her language and when one coworker tried to come over to help me understand her she said something in her language and he left. Overall terrible terrible experience. I will NEVER go back and I wouldnt recommend it.Despite the convenience to being in Jordan Creek Mall I wouldnt waste my time or money and would go somewhere outside the mall.Oh as far as my pedicure, didnt scrub my feet one bit!!! I could have painted my own nails for cheaper!

My friend and I went there to get our nails done. First of all the lady doing my nails only spent about 20 minutes on them and was rude the whole time. Second the lady didnt let me see the nail Polish colors and painted my nails a nasty color. Third, my friend brought in a specific design that she wanted done but the lady for some reason decided to do it her own way and in the end messed up my friends nails. The nail polish looked wrinkly on the nail. Fourth they made my friends fingers bleed. Last, they over charged my friend and when she confronted them about over charging, the lady argued and refused to fix the over charge fee. I would not recommend anyone ever going here.

I got dip on my nails and when they were bidding them with the machine they went all the way to my skin to the point that they started bleeding. I screamed out in pain and the lady still kept going past my nail. Later, my nails are still bleeding. I am not happy about this.

This is the worst salon I have ever been too! I would rate them a zero if I could. The gentleman in there was the only nice person there. The women are VERY RUDE. Very unsanitary! Stay away!

I went in to get my nails done before I did some shopping on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. I asked her to just trim my nails a little bit and she ended up cutting all my nails off and while removing the previous gel that was on my nails she jabbed my finger with the cuticle cutter which I dont even know why she was using to that to remove the old gel. She didnt even cut my nails straight and I have hangnails beginning and she also got gel on my cuticles. I will never go back to this place again. I was not offered a discount or an apology.

They think we dont know anything about getting French tips done. He didnt drill the surface properly, didnt cut or file my natural nail to a proper shape(came home and used my glass filer to get off the sharp edges) did not buff, did not prime the sides, uneven application of powder (He did not clean my nails after filing I can see all the dust through the gel). All sums up to a painful process. Hated it.

They were horrible! My nail Polish is ruined after my pedicure and when we were thinking of going in the manager came out and told us the kids pricing for a pedicure and manicure would be less and then charged us full price for them when we left. They also told my friend shalac would be only $2 more and then tried to charge us $30 more but we refused to pay it. Very deceptive business practices. Stay away!!!

Took my 9 year old and my 5 year old there for manicures charged me $75 then got questioned when I only tiped $10. They did get shellac which was my fault because i didnt know what she was saying. My 5 yr old nails only lasted 2 days before it was all gone. So disappointed will not return.
