I had a wonderful experience at Kibana Nail Bar. It was easy to schedule over the phone, greeted me when I came in, and were diligent about their covid policy (I really appreciated that). I was paired with Ace and he really made my experience great!I showed him a picture of what I wanted. He didnt hesitate to help with color and got straight to work. When I say my nails looked exactly like the photos, I was amazed.Ill definitely be back!

I have been to Kibana Nail Bar a few times and Ill be back! I went for nails only services at first and Ive since gotten pedicures and had a lovely, relaxing experience. Great ambiance. Be sure to make an appointment and be patient because you may be there a while. Its self- care, relax and enjoy!

I was greeted when I entered, and told him it was my first time as a customer. If you live in Brookland or Edgewood this is a great nail salon. Its spacious. The massage chair actually felt more powerful than other ones I felt before. Clean and relaxing experience. They had good music and my technician was the best. Ask for Thao, tell her you read my post! 😘 shes there on Friday, Saturday, Sunday- it’s best if you call ahead and make an appointment. I asked for a hot stone treatment and it was only an extra $10. Treat yourself! Ill be back as a customer! I didn’t get a picture of the pedicure chairs just because there were several people in them and I didn’t want to put their picture online . Veey spacious!

Recently visited Kibana because I was looking for a new salon near me. After visiting so many salons and being disappointed I finally found a place that I still stick to for a while. Prior to going I read some reviews that suggested visiting Ace, the nail tech and to be honest I was pretty satisfied. I love how my nails came out!

Made an appointment for 3:30. Sat in the chair until 4:15 with no update or apology before telling them politely I needed to leave. When I asked if they usually take appointments, the answer was client picky. No apology or rain check offer. Pricing not current, everything is ten dollars more but not reflected on menus. Extremely awkward unprofessional experience and employees did nothing at ALL to ameliorate what was happening. Do not go here.

Twice I have made an appointment, waited over 45 minutes after my appointment time, and left without being seen. They are terrible with time management. This does not include other times when I have waited 30 minutes after my appointment time to get started. They have no respect for your time, and tend to prioritize white clients over other races. I kept giving them a shot because they are clean, and in my neighborhood, but enough is enough.What a pity, they could have been a great addition to the neighborhood if they had managed their time and been non biased.

Waste of money and time. I’ve been here before and some of the technicians are great. But it’s pretty hit or miss. The service I received was slow and sloppy. There are better nail salons in the city charging far less for better services. I will never come back again.

I didn’t want to do anything when I saw that there were not clean. I took an appointment to do mani and piedi but when I got there it is the dirtiest nail salon I ever seen. A lady told me to sit In a row chair and she throw a blue little soap in a very dirty bowl to put my feet. Just Left without doing anything. Yuck!

I LOVE THIS SALON went there with my friend to get acrylics and they did an excellent job. The service was very attentive and got me in and out in an hour. Definitely recommend :))

I was appalled when my manicurist used the electronic sander to take off my gel nail polish. The correct way is to just leave the nails with polish remover wrapped up around them.Ive included a picture of my nail, which is totally damaged and will break for the next month or so as it grows.I wasnt disappointed in the polish, but I wont be back because they destroyed my natural nail in order to take an unnecessary shortcut.

Tenise did my nails last night. This place is beautiful and very clean; and has a variety of services that I plan to fully experience. She even did my cuticle with this dremil tool is never experienced before; but they look the best they ever day!!

Very pleasant experience. Manicure and pedicure were well done. I like their cleanliness and how they put a fresh liner inside each tub before soaking the feet.

I got my nails done here for the first time, excited about a style I wanted to try. I was told the price for what I wanted would be higher since I had three damaged nails and the type of nail that would be applied would be different from the usual ones so I opted for a regular gel color. When I sat down, the nail tech complained about my nails being old and it seemed like he was complaining about the amount of work he had to do. During the shaping process, he nicked my middle finger with the nail file and I started bleeding. I ended up paying $50 for something I could’ve gotten done at my usual spot for $35. It’s the next day and my finger still hurts and now my polish is chipping...Update: One of my nails has fallen off..

Please do not go here. I found my third experience here to be the worst. It almost seemed racial. I am a black woman.Low qualityPoor customer serviceTalks trash about clientsCalled me to ask if they could charge me 10 more dollars AFTER I had left the shop dissatisfied and was treated poorly for the third time.Arrogant.Doesnt do natural nails.Didnt use gloves to wax and used tweezers to remove underarm hair. Did not clean or powder area before hand. If you ask, they give you drama.

Got a shellac manicure 1 week ago, and the sides of 8 of my nails have peeled off already. I spend the extra money on shellac to not have this happen. The shellac manicure should last 2-3 weeks. I am a teacher, so I am not hard on my nails, and in the past, this manicure has lasted me 3-4 weeks.When I called, the woman said they can’t fix it because it’s not the next day.I’m taking my business elsewhere, and so should you.

I had called in advance and made an appointment for a girls haircut. I was offered 3 or 4 PM slot; I chose 4pm. We (myself and my daughter) arrived at 3:55 and were told the stylist was running late, we should go down to Starbucks and get a coffee and return in 15 minutes? Foolishly we did. We returned to kibana at 4:20 and were told the stylus should be here soon. We sat and waited for over 20 minutes, with no updates - we are sitting 3 feet away from the desk. At 4:45, I ask again and the receptionist mumbled an answer about bad traffic. At this point we left, what is the point of making an appointment if you are going to wait for over an hour for the stylist to arrive. I had seen the negative reviews, but it is in the neighborhood and walking distance, so we gave it a try. We won’t be back.

I like this new location! Its pretty, clean, and service is great. I got a Kibana Spa pedi (which Ive had before). I think its worth the price considering you get exfoliation, massage, polish, paraffin wax, warm towels etc. My feet fell awesome! :) .One downside is parking. You can park on the street if parking is available....but thats if. Other than that....nice spot

This place is amazing! Me and my mom didn’t get the names of the nail techs but they did such an amazing job! I didn’t know what color to choose from and he tried both on my feet to see which one I loved! Other salons wouldn’t dare to ask. Super clean, super friendly and food places are everywhere go choose from 😍

Have gone here multiple times and I just dont believe that their services are worth the price tag. It is extremely expensive to get merely a gel manicure and with what I pay, I would expect top notch. You are paying for the ambiance, not for the service. Sorry to say, but I wont be returning.

Really not worth it. I got my eyebrows done and it was $15!!! That is a super outrageous price when the norm is around $10. It was also the longest eyebrow waxing Ive ever had it took about 20 minutes! For those who arent aware it should take max 12 minutes and that is not even the norm. The guy also asked if I wanted my lip waxed... hello very rude!!! And he also pointed out a pimple on my face and laughed. I have also gotten my nails done here and it was a sub par job. If you can avoid it (which Im sure you can) DO NOT GO HERE. It is a waste of money and some of the staff are very rude. It is also extremely overpriced for everything. You can find cheaper for better service.

This place is COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL! The SERVICE IS HORRIBLE and they are RACIST! The host lies about availability, You have to pay to park, when you think you will be seen you arent, so you risk getting a ticket or double paying. The nail technicians play a game of ping pong as to who will service you and you end up waiting long. The establishment is BEAUTIFUL but DONT BE FOOLED. SAVE YOUR MONEY!! !!

Disappointing customer service. I’ve been turned away from here twice in 2 days. The 1st night, I arrived at 7:35 to learn that they stop taking customers at 7:30pm (no mention of this on the website). No worries, I make an appointment for 7:20pm the following day only to show up at 7:20pm and the door is locked. I wait for a few minutes and the receptionist comes to the door to say that they are closed as technicians are putting on their coats. Never mind that I have an appointment and no one called me to see if I could change it...so unprofessional and total disregard for one’s time. I couldn’t imagine that going over well in my profession. Perhaps they should not take appointments and change the closing time on the website to 7pm? Oh well. I thought I had found a nice salon in my neighborhood but will have to revert back to going a little further to a place where my time and money are valued.

It was just okay, not great, I wont be back for SNS. It looks sloppy, the layers are too thick, and Im only keeping it because I spent the money and time to get it. My sister got gel and it looked great, though, so Im sure they do other services better. Atmosphere was nice. Had an appointment with my friend but they didnt seat me by her, which was odd.

Great place. Ben and Henry did an amazing job. This will be my go-to spot from now on. Much better than any other place in this neighborhood .

Extremely disappointed. If you want dip powder, then you will have lumpy disgusting nails done by the nail techs here. My first two experiences here were great and I now know that’s because Ken is the only nail tech that knows how to successfully do dip powder. If Ken is not there do not get your nails done. They have beginner incompetent nail techs performing services on customers. I am truly disappointed with the service I had yesterday.

Strange how mediocre it is for the fancy decor. The wait time was long and the mani pedi was too minimal for the price. OK, nothing amazing.

I like this place, very clean, pretty, and staff are polite. I always go for manicure pedicure which I like it. Sometime waitiong time is alot at weekends.I also had facial cleaning as well as Swedish massage with Angelika. She is very nice woman and she did good job.

Although the salon is very nice, they are poorly managed. They can’t keep up with their reservation schedule and are often running over 45 minutes behind schedule and don’t even have the courtesy to let you know in advance.

Everyone is very nice, but I walked out with a pretty sub par pedicure and manicure. Also the tech took a the cuticle clipper form another station and put it back after she was done, it was obviously not sanitized. Unfortunately I don’t think I will be going back.

Jae is amazing. Super busy, yet personable and pays attention to detail.

Got a pedi done and they were awesome, friendly and polite. Top notch establishment.

After 3 visits, Ive decided this is my new preferred nail salon. Clean, excellent service and a great location.

After filing my nails, they were not straight, the polish was not applied professionally and my gel manicure did not even last 1 week. There was nothing positive about the $35 a paid for this.

Quality of mani and pedi was ok. Beautiful salon with lots of color options. I found it a little odd that the tech kept on the same gloves to do my pedi and manicure.

Take a pass on this one. There are plenty of nail salons.Not even worth my time to list its many flaws.
