Lucy is nice, personable, accommodating, and she did a great job on my nails and pedicure. Will dedicate be a repeat customer.

4-12-18Walked by Lucy Nails Spa & Barber and my boii Tom was just standing at the door begging people to come in. I actually walked by, until i rembered i should probably get a hair cut.I am so Fing happy I came to this spot. Tom is like a perfectionist. Blonde hair is the hardest to cut, and the hardest to make look really good on someone.Judge for yourself, and if you think its good, make sure you visit this place. You will make this your next full time barber.

Absolutely horrible. I walked in and Lucy was eating with food everywhere and continued to eat while I soaked my nails off. In the midst of doing my nails she told me I couldn’t choose certain nail colors because it was too “ light”. She then switched over to another worker who did a horrible job on my nails. They were bulky after and the gel polish peeled in less than 24 hours of getting them done. I went back to ask for a full refund and she refused to give it to me.

I waited for 45 minutes and no said anything to me about my nails so I had them to cut them off and I left I was so angry 😤

I have always been extremely satisfied with the nails and waxing job performed at this place. The quality and extraordinary customer service are amongst the many reasons why I keep coming back after 5 years. The protocols and superb cleanliness during COVID-19 times are outstanding and I felt save while I had wax and nails services performed at Lucy Nails.

Timely & so friendly! I always bring my own polish even gel. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. They usually have me in and out within an hour. I always get a basic Pedi and either a mani or a gel. There have been PLENTY of times I have messed my nails up and walked backed and they fixed it for it me, no problem. However, you want extra, you pay for it. I do advise bringing cash.

Came here about 6-7 years ago and never went back because over priced. Went 2 days ago because of time and had the worst and expensive service ever. $120 for eyelashes that started to fall off the same day and nails that chipped and broke in 2 days.... when I went a few years ago my nails were nice, I didn’t have an opinion it was just the price but now ....😒😒

One of the most unprofessional and overpriced places I have ever gone. Rushed through both my haircut and pedicure and didn’t enjoy either. For the pedicure all she did was clip my toenails and nothing else, nickel and diming for even scrubbing down the feet. Haircut same gist where as she only used electric clippers and not scissors and messed up the right side. Super disappointing and frustrating

In less the 24 hours the color was coming off your nails. No guarantee for even 24 hours for a bad service.Is one of the most expensive places for a manicure and the customer service is really bad.

Wonderful! I walked in and instantly got a seat for a spa pedicure. The regular pedicure didnt include the 5 minute massage, so I went for the spa pedicure. The massage amazing! Feel like I have new feet! I would definitely recommend this place and will be back!

I’ve only gone for eyebrows and they do a great job every time. I’ve even had different employees do them, and they’re consistent every time! Never too thin.

Poor technique; and, they take nickling and diming to a new level.

I was there Friday, Lucy did my nails I did not like the finish. She uses the drill too much on the natural nails. When she finished my nails were very sensitive and still are today. You do not have to take off the top coat of the natural nail to get the polish to stay on longer or use the drill that much on the nail bed. And she has a nasty attitude. I wish the manicurists I do like there would go to work somewhere else. I stopped going to this shop because of her nasty attitude. I went in on Friday because its convenient, but its too expensive. There are better places in Chinatown and more reasonable prices. And the polish doesnt stay on any longer than other shops, but i will have to allow time for the grooves to grow out on my nails.

Horrible establishment. One woman does really bad nails. She’s rough and impatient. She sits at the desk closest to the pedicure chairs on the left side. Small woman. Don’t go to her.

I won’t bother to return; they make the bare minimum effort and try to “up sell” you. My 40 minute spa pedicure was done in 25 minutes and they didn’t do the promised callous removal. Highly underwheling and not cheap,

On vacation and decided I need to get my nails redone and I went here and needless to say by the time I walk out the door all my nail polish peeled off all the sizes and shapes are all wrong my nails is burning because my cuticles and fog too much, they’re overly priced, a 5 year old kid can do a better job !!!!

After 4 months of Lamisil still have nail fungus from this place. Sigh. May need to have my entire nail removed. :(

I came here once when I first moved to D.C. a year ago and I did NOT like the final results. A year later, I thought Id give them another chance, and still, the results are horrible. Sloppy work and rushed service to accommodate basically anyone who walks through the door. I wouldnt mind the rushed service if my nails looked good when they were done. My nails look like they were painted by a five year old.

This place was terrible, the young lady was very ruff on the nail clippings (very painful, she cut me twice), rushed through everything (which is probably why she cut me), and my pedicure looked like my 7 yr old niece did it. The towels looked ruff and dirty. Water was cold. They were in such a rush, they didn’t even allow my nails to dry properly, just threw a plastic sandwich bag on and kicked us out of the building. And it was pricey for such poor service. Save yourself some time and money.

Lots of services and prices are reasonable for downtown.

My nail broke within the week and when I went to have it fixed I was asked to come back at a later time so that it could be promptly fixed. When I returned at their suggested time I still had to wait for 30 minutes to get service. When I asked about when I would be helped, one individual was repeatedly rude and dismissive. I was so disappointed. And I had to pay

Got a mani, pedi, and hair cut, which cost me $80. The two stars goes solely to the hair dresser; she was kind, attentive and ensured that I was happy with my trim. If this review was only about her, it would have five stars.My mani and pedi was a completely different story. I paid extra to get the dead skin off my feet (I play soccer and run so this is important). The extra cost got me a half scrape of the foot; far less than even a standard pedicure. She was so gentle she was barely touching my foot and the entire experience was her half-way doing the job.The water was like warm, which quickly turned freezing. I asked her to redo my feet scraping and nail polish (which I normally wouldn’t do), to which she made me wait for an hour just to tell me she “couldn’t do anymore”. I showed my friends my feet and hands later and they laughed. We all agreed it was the worst mani/pedi that we had ever seen.Three hours later, nothing accomplished except a haircut, and I am having to go back to another salon to re-do everything tomorrow. Don’t waste your time.

I have tried to give this place a chance more two times. Each time I went My gel nails would peel off within 3 three day, which tells me that they are watering down the gel polish. I will not be going back to this salon. I would beware of the gel at this place.

Ive been here about 5 times now and each time they have knicked the skin on my hand or toe and caused me to bleed. So Im officially done. Its one of those places where they constantly upsell too so you have to be firm.

I don’t have sensitive skin or nails but my nails were burning the entire time I was getting a fill. The file and shape is uneven and extremely thick.

Highly skilled staff, very attentive and professional. They make my nails look like mirrors.
