Always receive good customer service here. From the door I’m always greeted kindly by Niki she’s always giving the best service offering drinks and making it happen when setting my appointments.My nail tech is Anthony able to give me all the hot styles on acrylic powder nails. I messed up when I would go to other nail shops because they don’t do it like they do here at Salon Mimosa.Linda is my go to girl for a pedicure she gives the best massages🥰🥰🥰🥰Thanks guys love you all
I like my regular nail tech but if she wasn’t there I probably would find another salon. It’s nice that they stay open late but it seems like if Nikki isn’t there the entire salon becomes a straight up circus. Everyone else seems to rush through services in an attempt to get the next customer. One of the guys that works there smokes a vape pen INSIDE. The customer service is just BAD and GHETTO. Hopefully my nail tech doesn’t leave or maybe she will and go to a more professional salon. I’d certainly follow her.
Never have I been to such an unprofessional place of business. I called in advance to confirm the late night hours and that they also did hair (I know they are a nail salon but according to the reviews others have given, they have had their hair done here) the lady who answered the phone confirmed the 11pm closing hours and that they also blow dry hair, and told me to come right over. I arrived a little before 9 and am told that the person who does hair isnt there. I wasnt upset or anything and let the lady know that I would just have a manicure. I waited for a rediculous amount of time while the salon wasnt even busy. Only I and two other clients who were already serviced were there. When I was finally attended, the lady who did my nails appeared to hate her job. She rushed, didnt pay attention to detail and was completely uncaring. I pointed out that my nails where not correctly shaped and she reluctantly refiled them. I simply asked for normal French nails. The technician left my nails sloppy and left to go attend the other clients without saying anything. I sat there with my nails in the fan wondering if I was done or what. I looked at my nails and really didnt like them and was thinking she really cant be done. When the lady who seemed to be in charge returned I asked if I could have someone else do my nails. She looked at my nails and called the technician over. The technician looked at my nails and again walked away. The lady in charge said to me, whats wrong with them, that they look pretty. I thought to myself she cant be serious. How where the bubbles, streaks, messy cuticles and plain goopyness not obvious? I seriously hate the way she left my cuticles.I was firm in that I didnt like it and wanted someone else to redo them. The lady said to me who else is suppose to do my nails at 10:30 at night. That she isnt going to charge me and I didnt have to worry about paying. I said I have no problem paying, that I will pay but I wasnt pleased with the results and simply wanted them redone. She said Im not charging you and walked away. At that point I was tired of the staff walking away from me and left. Once I got home, I took out my nail polish remover and cleaned my nails of the slipshod of a manicure. If the staff are tired and want to go home they could have said that before anything happened, not tell me on the phone, come on over. For a place that is open about 14 hours, I would expect them to have both day and night staff, so what exactly is the reason for their poor performance eludes me. And no I wasnt offered a mimosa at all at any given point.
Ive been going to Mimosa salons for over a year, but I was told to go to the 1623 Connecticut Ave one recently. I absolutely loved it. There is simply no other place to go to get your nails done in DC. Nikki was extremely funny and kind, and makes sure that everyone feels welcome and cared for. I get my nails done about every two weeks, and I am forever loyal to Mimosa salon!!
Bruh! My feet feel like clouds. My hands look like works of art! I am so happy that I found this place.
Awful customer service. I stopped coming here for a reason 6 years ago. Seems to only have gotten worst. Had an appt at 6pm, waited 45 minutes, nail tech rushed doing my hands, mani and design was ok, sat for 30 minutes waiting to do my toes and had to walk out without my pedi because at this point I was approaching 2 hours with no end in site of when I would actually be able to get the full service I booked.

Guys check your receipts before walking out of the door ! A girl there adds extra tips when she noticed you are not picking your receipts. Can you imagine someone adding 32 dollar tip on a 45 + 10 tip service ?’l?&?,( . Then zero apologies from the store, after reporting her they acted like nothing !!! Which made me think so they do this more often to clients who don’t bother taking the receipts or look at the receipts ???
The girl named Venessa started my nails and kept cursing under her breath because my nails had to be taken off and the previous acrylic was still on. She then stopped midway through and left me sitting around for the next person available to continue my nails. The wait time was about 30 minutes before someone approached me to ask if I needed help. The guy that approached me was nice and helpful, but this must have been one of the worst experiences. I ended up having to wait another 30 minutes, making it a total of an hour, to get my nails finished. I couldn’t leave because my nails were only half way completed. Venessa is very unprofessional, curses under her breath( thinking no one understands her). The behavior Venessa displayed was unprofessional and uncalled for. Recommend avoiding her at all costs if you are looking for a good experience overall.
Made an appointment with the nail tech Ive been seeing for the past 2 & half years, only to get there and tell me who ever booked it didnt put in and it would be a 45 minute wait then a hour, the guy was just acting like its my fault there employees didnt do there job. The customer service here is has gotten worse each time Ive come in the past 3 times. So I will take my money elsewhere.

There’s no other place to go in DC. They are open late, have many different options, and Nikki( manager) helps facilitate her staff and customers needs.
