My friend and I both got our nails done by Mandy. She was very sweet and responsive to what we wanted. Her acrylic work was also neat and thin in the way we hoped. I would’ve given her five stars but we both found that her nail painting wasn’t as neat.Edit - our nails quickly deteriorated after this unfortunately 🤧 so I’d have to lower my rating from the original 4 stars to like 3, if it was just based on her personality it’d be 5!

I came here for the exfoliating pedicure and manicure with Cindy on a late Friday morning, and it was a great and relaxing experience. The space itself was clean and nice. Definitely recommend!

I just moved into the neighborhood so I wanted to patronize a place close to home, never again Mandy/Mindy did my feet, she’s very nice but she barely wanted to touch my feet, the pictures shows just left, but my concern was M-W there’s a big sign that says regular pedicure $25 but I was charged $30 because Mandy/Mindy says the special was from 10-4, the gentleman told her to give me my $5 back but she just ignored him, so there’s go Mandy/Mindy tip, the short haired lady made me pay before my feet was dry and she followed my 9 year old daughter to the bathroom, making her feel uncomfortable, just know I contacted the BBB about the treatment and service I received today, on 9/8/21, I’m not going to call them out and say there prejudice just unprofessional, hope they do better in the future.

I called ahead day-of to make an appointment for a pedicure, which they fit me in for later in the day. I arrived 15 minutes early. The young woman who was presumably going to do my pedicure sat me in a chair and started the foot bath, and then went over to start a manicure on another woman. After waiting an hour, I decided that woman forgot about me and left. I returned the next day and they were slower and were able to take me right away. I got the same young woman, and I would suggest she receive additional training in pedicures- she cut the skin on two of my nailbeds as she was working on them, which hurt in itself and bled for a while, and then she must have applied alcohol but whatever astringent she applied to it after stung. It was very uncomfortable. I had asked her for the callus removal pedicure and she didnt appear to know what that entailed. She picked up a tool and asked me if she should use it...and when she did use it she spent about a minute on each foot and I am not convinced she knew how to use the tool...she did not apply much pressure at all and I dont think it did anything for my calluses. I was very underwhelmed with this $5 extra service.

This place is terrific. They are very nice, they take their time to do a good job. And the place is very clean. Highly recommend this if you are staying at the Omni shoreham or in Adam’s Morgan.

Great neighborhood place! They are very safe in there and great about sanitizing. The work is professional and detailed. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great pedi/mani experience

This place originally opened in April 2020 and just re-opened post covid. Was asked to sanitize when I walked in. Then it was the usual pedicure experience (pick color, etc.). They’re only using every third chair For distancing. Masks for everyone required. Staff was really friendly and my tech did a great, thorough job. And it came with champagne! Definitely recommend.

Salon was very clean the staff are very professional and caring. They gave me exactly what i wanted without any problems and catered to my wants and needs! I will def be going back.

Zara is amazing, gentle with her touch and patience with her customers. I have been coming to Zara for 3 years. I followed her from Mimosa salon to Connecticut Avenue Day Spa because I will NEVER go to any one else. The Connecticut Avenue Day Spa is very clean, bright and no smell!!! The spa is certified organic which is a plus for those who prefer not to smell acrylic and toxic smells. Adding bonus is Zara does everything (manicure, pedicure, wax services, facial and massage)..so one stop shop!! i love this woman as my sister. Please come here and support an amazing small business. This place was so effiecent and wonderful, I had an amazing time and Phillip knew exactly what I wanted and did my nails perfectly. I will be back in two weeks for my fill in☺️. Would recommond to everyone!

Connecticut Spa it’s a great salon! Very clean, with all the safe measures in place for social distance and very well organized. I had full service: waxing, manicure and pedicure with the lovely Cindi! She did a great job and love how carefull and detail oriented she is. Thank you Cindi for the wonderful service!
