Glenwood apartments are in a great spot in Brookland, and I love how close they are to the beautiful cemeteries. Lots of space and nice, clean, and renovated units. But what made me sure I wanted to be there was the amazing care and support I received from Kayla Smith. She answered my many questions and just has the most positive, kind, light energy - from her first emails, to in person, to going above and beyond to be really thorough and show how invested she is in helping people through this process. Thank you, Kayla!!!
Fast and effective timing no issues directly right after the issue first emergency response and rental office request for maintenance corrected immediately
While we ended up leasing a different apartment closer to where we needed to be, we were very impressed with the service at the leasing office. They went above and beyond to assist us and to answer all of our questions. They were extremely kind and helpful! I would highly recommend checking out Glenwood if they offer a style and location that you are looking for.
Things have really turned around since NOVO has taken over the property. The upgrades and up keeps are great. The updated apartments are great great with garbage disposal, dishwasher and microwave. My unit has carpet which is awesome lol. Still looking forward to some of the things that were promised when they made to pitch to the tenants. But all in all the staff is wonderful and committed to making your living experience here as wonderful as they can. I’ve lived here since I was 2 and because of the changes I decided to stay here and rent my own apartment.. right down the hall from my mom lol .
I moved in to these apartments in at the end of November of 2016. For about the first 4 months there was an issue with mice. I went to the leasing office repeatedly but they didn’t do anything until I threatened to break my lease and dropped of my dish drying rack full of mice droppings on the property managers desk so that he could see the mice droppings for himself. There is constant water damage on the bathroom walls. Instead of actually addressing the problem they just send painters. I didn’t move at the end of my lease due to some health complications that I was having. So now that year twi has gone by we decided that we were going to move but would wait for the school year to be over. I can’t even stick to that plan because I have mold. I’ve complained to them about the water damage before and what looked liked mold developing. They were dragging their feet so I had a HCVP inspector come. They failed the first inspection and gave them a reinspection date. They have about a month to address the issues. Instead they wait until the day before the inspection to send painters out to scrap off the mold and repaint the walls, not t actually treat the problem! They sent roofers out to “fix” the roof. That was an epic failure because now the ceiling in my room, kids room, and the living room are leaking! So now I’m rushing to find a place and move out ASAP.Oh, and someone recently tried to break into my apartment within the last 30 days and my door was supposed to be replaced and it hasn’t been. Honestly, I think it was another resident.
