After making an appointment online and receiving a confirmation e-mail from them, we walked a long distance to get a tour of the Gables. Unfortunately, they forgot about our tour and would not give us one because they didnt have my name on their list.Also the lobby is pretty ugly, so maybe missing the tour wasnt such a bad thing.(Edit - after reading Gabless response below, its important to note that there was no miscommunication - Gables sent us an email confirming the tour, and then they forgot to include us on their list. They turned us away quite rudely. The response to this comment is pretty unacceptable as it places blame on the customer and doesnt take any ownership of their mistakes)

Everyone at Dupont gables are so nice! They were very welcoming when my fiancé and I moved into the building. We love the bocce court! The location is amazing, we are close to everything but on a quiet street.

The staff at Gables are always helpful and make living here better. Have lived here for four years and have loved it.

As a resident I have always been very happy with the location and customer service. Staff are great including Yuma the property manager who made me feel welcome and answered all of my questions.

Been living here for going on three years. Can’t say enough about the Gables. The staff are like family, maintenance requests are handled same day or next day. It’s more expensive than other places in the city but the level of service is outstanding. My girlfriend kept trying to get me to move in with her in Logan Circle. A few weeks staying with me convinced her to move into the Gables. If you want peace and quiet come here. This is the place for you!

I moved to Gables Dupont Circle 2 years ago... and I cannot be happier. Excellent building, nice apartment with extremely professional management and super kind and helpful staff. I really feel like being home. It is a very convenient community and I adore the neighborhood. Everything I need is mostly in a walking distance.If you are an urban kind of person, this is the place to live!

We have lived at Gables Dupont Circle for approximately a year, and we just renewed our lease for another year. Our experience has been fantastic. Everyone who works in the building is incredibly friendly and they all go out of their way to make your life easier. The building is also very dog friendly, which is a huge plus for us--they even have a treat jar by the front door that our dog tries to visit every time she walks by.When we have had minor maintenance issues, we have submitted maintenance requests easily through the mobile app provided by the complex, and the issues have been addressed promptly and completely. We pay our rent and utilities through the same mobile application, which makes things simple and obviates the need for a physical check. The app also has an autopay feature, which is handy.In short, I would recommend Gables Dupont Circle to friends, family, and anyone looking to live in the area. The location is fantastic, management and staff are superb, and the rents are comparable to those in the area.

Ive lived here for two months and couldnt be happier. The apartments are modern, clean, and spacious. The 24-hour concierge is massively convenient. And the setting is perfect: close to everything, but on a quiet street.

This is my second year living at Gables DuPont Circle and I couldn’t be happier to call this place my home. Every time I have had an issue, from maintenance problems, to moving logistics, to roommate turnover, the team here has been nothing but helpful and kind. I am truly grateful for the amazing staff here and the great facilities they offer. Would highly recommend living here to any and all who are looking to rent in DC!

Leasing staff were rude when we requested a tour. Would have liked to at least been offered some information or an attempt to squeeze us in for a self guided tour over the course of the weekend

Ive rented my fair share of apartments over the years. I must say Gables at Dupont is by far the best. The staff members are very pleasant and welcoming, makes it feel like home beyond the first glance.

My experience living at Gables Dupont has been a great one. I’m a long-time renter and I have lived in 8 other apartment complexes. Gables is by far the best managed.Everyone who works in the building is really friendly. Its nice to live in a place where the concierge and management actually know your name and always take a few minutes to say hello and ask you about your day.The common areas in the building are always spotless. I live in a one-bedroom apartment and it has new furnishings and in my experience, the apartment is larger than what you’ll find in most other buildings in this area of DC for the same price point.I’ve had to submit a few maintenance requests while I’ve lived here and any issues have been resolved quickly and the maintenance crew has always been really respectful of my time (knowing I’ve got to get back to work) and accommodating of my dog (knowing that she is going to bark at them like crazy).The building is smaller than a lot of the other complexes in the area, which gives it a good community feel. There are free events like holiday parties and wine tastings every few months. They are a great way to meet people in the building.I know all the people who live in my hall and I’ve never had an issue with noise coming from other apartments, the patio or the street. I’m sort of surprised that another reviewer said they had a problem with this because for me, it has been a non-issue.My favorite thing about the building is the location. I don’t think there is a better spot in DC. On one side, youre a block away from Dupont Circle and the metro. On the other side, youre a block away from the restaurants on 17th Street. And, if you want to escape the city, there is a common area out back with a nice green space. Sitting out there, you can almost forget you’re living in the center of DC.

Pros:- Great location by Dupont Circle- 1 reception lady is super friendly- Simple but good enough gym-Cons:- Walls are made of paper- Water is shut-off every week and when they connect it again, it’s cold for some long minutes before you can take a shower. In one bathroom, hot water only came back after a few weeks- Maintenance people enter in your apartment like it was theirs. They move stuff and leave the place dirty- Fire alarm comes and goes without reason. Firefighters came over 3 times in the past year only to notice that the alert system was malfunctioning- If you like to smell your neighbor’s cooking, you’re gonna love this place- Management is useless and makes everything much more complicated than what it should be. Payment methods are older than my grandpa. They don’t accept bank transfers, only checks. And if you move outside of the US, you’ll probably never receive your deposit again since they only send checks in the US, 4 weeks after you’ve left- Incredibly expensive (especially considering what you get for that price)Overall, they like to polish their image, hoping that you’ll be impressed by their lobby and reception area. But make no mistake, this place is not even worth half of what they’ll charge you for.Oh and be aware that they keep on deleting Google comments since all of them are bad.
