The price is good and the location is nice. No metro nearby, but bus routes. Lots of light from the windows and it overlooks some nice trees. The people at the front desk are lovely. I haven’t had issues with receiving packages, which is great.Unfortunately, this place is not without lots of issues. Management is terrible. They did not give me my parking pass when I moved in, and failed to communicate with desk staff where they said I could park. My car got towed. It cost $500 for the ticket and to get my car back. I was reimbursed, but no apology and the manager acted like he did me a huge favor by refunding me. Definitely a bit salty about it.My roommate found roaches the first day we moved in. Management didn’t have anyone come until about a week later. There was no follow-up about the traps they placed out.The air is centrally located so you have very little control of the temp. It wouldn’t be as much of an issue, but with climate change 80 degree weather days, you’re out of luck since the heat has already been switched. Same thing for spring 90’s and sunny and your apartment is boiling. Because of the central air, there’s also no air circulation to help with the heat.Maintenance is variable. Sometimes they come quickly to solve you issues, other times you put in a maintenance request multiple times for the same issue. We have had issues with our door lock getting stuck so we cannot get in. It has been “fixed” but if it happens every few months does that really count as working? The laundry room is clean, but the card machine to load money is often broken. Currently on week 4 of it not working and there are literal bags of wet laundry sitting in there. The apartment building is older and you’re not going to have any of the nice elements of more modern places. The appliances work, but also they’re not amazing. The reason we resigned the lease is because of the price and the hassle of moving. Overall, you get what you pay for. If you can find something better, I would.
*****This review is specifically for our experience with maintenance at Eaves Glover Park.*****Terrence is one of the best maintenance people around. We recently had to put in two separate work orders for our unit. Terrence was very good at not only fixing our issues, but listened to our other issues we felt didn’t warrant a work order request. Terrence had a smile on his face while he worked and left us satisfied. Terrence also adheres to all COVID-19 safety protocols. He was also very friendly with our 2 cats. A truly five star maintenance experience because of Terrence.
This place is a hidden gem! It’s not the most modern but the apartments are huge, they get great light, and are a great value for what you get.The staff is also amazing, including Russel at the front desk. Nice clean amenities too.Maintenance is top notch! Shout out to Terrance that called right away and was even able to solve my problem over the phone!Great vibe here, def check it out!And PRO-TIP you may have to turn on the AC unit fan on the unit itself to get ac flowing (which only runs from around may 15 - oct 15 standard for this kind of building )
What makes the building great are the amazing people who work here. Terance not only takes care of all the maintenance requests efficiently, but he is also so kind as to help me with whatever additional issues he finds in the apartment. Cesar and Carl are also dedicated to fixing the roots of the issues and have resolved them promptly. Their friendliness and sense of humor are great assets to the building. Jessica as the coordinator ensures that residents stay safe through the pandemic and that maintenance requests are fulfilled in a timely manner. Bria, Russell, Dane, and Kim at the front desk and Dreshawn at the leasing office are so helpful and friendly as well—it’s always lovely to see them. Thank you guys!
This place is awful. I do not recommend. The building is older, and the air conditioning and heat is run centrally. The air conditioning is still not on. I can speculate as to why the building management have not provided it yet, but the fact remains that we are all living in a sweaty, hot box of a building. Also, the maintenance techs are incompetent. They only competency they have is pressuring residents to put up positive Google reviews about their work. Finally, the building management is unresponsive and uncaring when there is a problem. They just do not seem to care. Please, do not move in here. There are plenty of better options.
Terance is such an awesome help whenever we are in a bind to take care of maintenance issues!
Terrence from maintenance was incredible!! Fast and amazing service.
It is 19 May and 84°F. The building still does not have the air conditioning on. Last year, they turned it on even later. These will be your living conditions at Eaves Glover Park.UPDATE: It is two days later. They turned on the a/c yesterday, and it already broke in the middle of the night. It is supposed to be 91°F today. If you want to know what living in a place like Baghdad is like with basic services that barely function, I invite you to live at Eaves Glover Park.
Terrance did a great job fixing our sink. It was clogged and couldnt rinse no matter what we did.
Terance provided a great service, we are really satisfied!
They good at taking your rent money. They are bad at everything else.
My wife and I have just renewed our lease with ease and certainty. The apartments are clean and comfortable. In the year and 2 months we’ve been here we haven’t experienced any bugs or rats like we have in other DC apartments. It’s a great location with nice amenities. Grocery stores and bars are just up the road. But it’s staff that makes it a 5 star place. The front desk (Russell, Bria, Nicole) and leasing office (Dreshawn) are always extremely friendly and helpful. They are quick to respond and answer any questions or concerns. Maintenance have been outstanding since we’ve arrived. Richard, Carl, and Terrance have been so attentive and prompt. They have answered and corrected all issues within a days time. We have never lived somewhere with such exceptional employees. Highly recommend.
I have lived here for 2.5 years so far and I absolutely love it. The apartment and neighborhood are beautiful, the very few maintenance issues weve had have been fixed promptly, and the staff are extremely helpful. The rent is reasonable since all utilities are included. I am sadly leaving this year and the ONLY reason I am moving is because I want to be closer to where I work and go out. I am really going to miss this place and highly recommend it.
Ive very much enjoyed my times at eaves Glover Park for the past two years. The building houses a number of different types of residents including students, young professionals and families. The building is a mid century building thats been pretty well maintained, down to the period mail box in the elevator lobby.I live in a 1B/1B. Great layout, at least in my apartment. Unit has a 50s/60s feel to it (galley kitchen, surprisingly well maintained parquet flooring) that lends itself nicely to entertaining. Maintenance issues are resolved quickly, sometimes same day. Cat friendly building (though the $50/month pet rent is a rip off).Nice amenities including a roof top deck (albeit pretty small), well appointed gym and decent laundry facilities (including one commercial sized washer and dryer which is helpful for bedding). Free coffee and tea in the lobby from 5 AM until late morning. Occasional resident appreciation events/parties.Ive also really enjoyed the staff here. It seems that there are a good amount of temps that cycle through the concierge role but staff highlights have included Kim and Russell. Russells memory is seriously impressive - he must know almost every residents name and something about them. They have never failed to brighten my day.
The maintenance staff here is always quick to fix our problems (like, same day) and is polite, respectful, and gets the job done quickly. My bathroom sink drain was super clogged, and Terrance came out to fix it. Since the drain was very clogged, it did take him a while and he had to go get extra machinery to get it done, and I appreciate the extra effort to get the sink completely fixed.
Great location, safe environment. Mr Hayes at the leasing office went above and beyond to help me and was very helpful on move in day.
Good and quick response maintenance by Terance.
The apartment rent includes water, electricity and heating, which is a good deal. And the maintenance team is very friendly and can solve problems quickly. Last time, Carl and Terance help us to change the microwave oven. And this time Carl very quickly to help us solve the problem of blocking the sink.
We have been living in Eaves Glover Park since Mar 2018 and we are loving it! Building concierge are all very nice people and maintenance staff (Frank, Richard and Kelvin) are always ready to help us and fix whatever is needed. Keep doing the good work! Goncalo and Marta
Terrance has provided good customer service during the pandemic. Great job!
Carl responded to our request early in the morning and promptly retrieved the jewelry that was stuck in the sink. He was very professional and helpful. Thank you!
The maintenance staff is great! I had a large box delivered that was too heavy for me to move myself. Terance offered to have it brought upstairs for me the next day—Thanks, Terance!
Terance and Bria have been absolutely phenomenal. Super responsive to maintenance requests and they take a personal touch to their work.
Good property. Awesome staff. Especially Russel
The maintenance team is great.
Kelvin Villacorta came in at the appointed time and once he understood and studied the problem of the clogged drain, he went about very efficiently working on the solution. He had all the equipment he needed and kept at the problem till it was resolved completely. A very polite, hardworking and pleasant person, Kelvin would be a true asset to the Eaves Glover Park. Thank you for assigning him to resolve our problem efficiently.
I have lived here almost 2 years, I love this apartment really so much. Nice location, clean environment, and very fast responses to repairing requests. Fixers are always so patient and professional. But, I dont know why staff here leave very frequently, the oldest ones attitudes towards residents turns to be really horrible. We pay money to live here, to ask you help solve problems, not pay for your brutal face, and to make troubles.
Management company is absolutely terrible. Doesnt respond to emails in a timely manner, conveniently loses documents so they can charge you more, doesnt actually care about residents. Moreover, the walls are so thin you can hear your neighbor sneeze and the entire time I lived there, half of the machines in the laundry room didnt work.
Terance is so nice, he helped us fix the fridge as well as the screen window.
The maintenance guys are really good! Richard and Carl have helped me throughout my stay here.
Just moved in, pretty decent neighborhood. And the maintenance service is commendable. Had a couple of issues but the maintenance guy Terance fixed everything right up! Thanks!
It is a really good place to live in. The people here are nice, especially Mr.Richard and Mr.Teraice .They helped us a lot.
I currently live here and have since 2011. I love this building, love the location, LOVE my apartment. Beautiful parquet floors, thick walls, friendly staff (most of them anyway). Pet-friendly (I have cats). I am very happy here.
Great apartment building. Large apartments. Agreeable rent for a 2bedroom, 2 bath unit. Small exercise facility, credit card enabled laundry machines, friendly staff, front desk service, package reception, RFID entry, pet friendly, parking lot, available on-street parking, gas stove, dishwasher, garbage disposal, wood floors throughout.Subjective Cons: old building, metal doors that allow a disturbing amount of hallway sound through, lots of AU and GT students live here, fraternity atmosphere at odd hours, marijuana smell leaks into my apartment from the neighbors across the way.Overall, a good apartment building that is clean. I would recommend it to friends in the 20-30 age range.
We moved here semi blindly from Austin. The neighborhood is really really nice. Most of the time we see folks with kids or dogs outside. There is a great park less then half a mile walk away. There is a well rated school down the street. 3 or 4 bus stops within 3 blocks either way. A CVS about a miles walk away and a ton of food places. So A plus on the location. The apartment itself is really nice old wood floors, cool details like deco tile in the bathrooms and shaped archways in the living room and kitchen. We have had a few maintenance issues and the response time is pretty quick. The only thing I dont like as much here might be the cost of the laundry units. They are a little steep but not awful. We are glad we can do laundry here instead of at a laundry mat, because I dont think there are any that close to this neighborhood to began with. The neighbors are all very chill and friendly. Really I think we lucked out. OH! Also after reading the terms of the lease again, I realized that this complex is also rent controlled. Which is a big dang deal. In Austin our rent would go up about 100 dollars a year (thus why we moved). Anyways. I recommend it here. Maybe we will seya around!
Ceasar was great, super helpful, effective, and friendly!
Terance and Richard : Very good service. Satisfied very much.
Carl from the Eaves Avalon maintenance team provided excellent service today; he was professional and worked expeditiously.
My maintenance request was responded to promptly by Terance who solved the issues quickly and gave thorough explanations on the work he performed. Terance is very friendly, professional, and efficient!
The maintenance staff Terance are very nice and professional
Carl, one of the lead maintenance techs, was fantastic. He was patient with the issue in my apartment, was beyond kind, and fixed it in minutes!
I recently had two pleasant experiences. First, I had requested touch up paint that I was going to use for my walls for scuffs and moving pictures around. Russell actually came in and did the touch up work himself. He said that I was the only resident who had ever requested touch up paint to my surprise. He gave me some extra for future use.Secondly, I had a knock on my door. The ladies of Eeaves GP management dropped off two bottles of wine for me committing to another 12 months on my lease after much consideration. It was a very nice gesture and pleasant surprise!
The maintenance team is excellent, helped us to save lots of problems and gave us a sense of warm. Thank you!
For the area, the apartments are incredibly affordable. Thats why it draws a a lot of students. However there are also a number of families, older folks, and young professionals. Ive been charmed with the community newsletter, and the apartment has a sense of really being a friendly neighborhood within the building.Ive lived in eaves buildings (they own a neighboring set of apartments I lived in as a student) for several years and been very impressed. eves Glover Park is especially nice, since everything is in one place. What it lacks in green space it makes up for in light and central air.Very nice gym in the basement, with free wifi down there (and in the lobby.)The only thing to be cautious of is that while the managing company (eaves) is pet-friendly, the Glover Park building is not dog friendly for dogs that arent service dogs. This gave us a minor headache, so just be aware of that exception in the pet friendly policy.
I moved into this apartment building when I first moved to DC and didnt know the area. These apartments are grossly overpriced, lacking amenities, and terrible terrible customer service. I 100% regret living in this community. I currently live in an apartment two blocks away that is 100 sq.ft. larger, $400/month cheaper, and chock-full of amenities. You can find something better, trust me!
Richard did a good job for my apartment! Appreciate his help!
A bird collided with a window in the living room leaving some sort of material on the window. It was cleaned today, looks good as new. Excellent work.
Weve lived here for 18 months and while we love the location, weve had so many issues here. The neighbourhood is great and its a short walk to work but it seems of the residents here think that it is a college dorm. Weve had parties going on until 2 or 3 am and lots of drunk 20-somethings staggering around waiting for elevators and talking/shouting in their usual manner. Originally, the staff were great but now we get the impression that the staff (with one or two exceptions) just cant be bothered. The building is tired and needs some serious investment. Weve had issues with mice, maintenance and lifts regularly smell of urine - dog or human? Who knows...
Great building to live in. No complaints from me. Thanks!
If there were negative stars I would give it that. This is by far the worst building I have lived at in this city. It is terrible, the staff is rude and pretty much impossible to get a hold of and there are hidden fees everywhere. DO NOT LIVE HERE!
Good service from Terance
Good Service!
