Moved here a few months ago and so far it has been a great experience. Its truly a gem since its near two metro stations on either side of 14th St., its always kept clean, theres a laundry room and gym on site, and any kind of shopping is within a 15 minute walk. The people who live here seem to be families, students and young professionals. Recently had issues with our AC unit and the staff and maintenance was highly responsive and communicative and got it fixed before the hotter days of summer. Their help is greatly appreciated and I want to give a shout-out to Vanessa and the maintenance crew!

My AC, dishwasher and hot water heater were all broken upon move-in. Over a month later we STILL have no working AC and our unit is 75-80 degrees at night. The dishwasher was finally repaired after a month. Living here has been miserable so far. Nothing went smoothly - my lease was written up wrong, parking spot double booked, and maintenance doesn’t comply with the law. Do not live here!!!

I was searching for an apartment because I was being relocating. I wanted to be close to the metro, city life and the apartment seemed fairly close. I was toured by the manager Hallie. She was very informative of the complex. She was excellent with her communication prior to me seeing the apartment which I greatly appreciated. The one bedroom view was very nice, just a little small for my girlfriend and I and our dogs. I ended up renting somewhere else due to persuasion of my girlfriend and the main thing was the size of the apartment. Hallie was a great tourist, very personable and I hope she gets some amazing people living there. The location is definitely a plus(metro is literally down the street) for anyone apartment searching.

I moved to this complex on July 13th, I have only been here for about two weeks and I am already extremely disappointed with management. On Saturday 20th, my boyfriend locked his bike in the bike storage room, on Sunday 21st, when we went downstairs to pick it up, the bike was not there, all that was left was his front wheel chained to the rack. We noticed that there were 4 chained bike wheels left in the rack, so it was a total of 4 bikes missing. I immediately contacted management and authorities, we then proceeded to file a police report. The police officer informed us that this is not the first time she has been called in for theft in the bike storage room at Columbia Uptown. On Sunday, I emailed Saray asking her what my options were and what the building intended to do to make this right, my email was ignored. On Monday, July 22nd, I took a day off from work to deal with this issue in person, when I went to the leasing office I was met with a rude attitude and unwillingness to help from Ayah and Saray, they told me it was my responsibility to lock my bike, as previously mentioned, my boyfriend did indeed lock his bike. Am I supposed to accept that I am out of $650 and that it is my fault? I did not expect them to victim blame us when we reported the theft.I chose to live in Columbia Uptown and pay more than I was paying for at my previous residence because I thought this was a safe environment, but in less than a month it has been proven otherwise. I would think that for the amount of rent we pay, we would receive a better service and be able to feel secure. The bike storage room, laundry services, and gym are all located in the basement which is an enclosed space but still accessible to anyone who is outdoors because of the open doors in the back, which makes it dangerous for everyone, particularly for women.Needing a fob to get in and out of an apartment building does not make it secure when the backdoors are wide open and strangers are able to get in and out as they please. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone who appreciates safety or wants to know their valuables will still be there when they wake up.

I can in and spoke to Saray Blanco about leasing a 2 bedroom. At the moment she did not have one at Columbia uptown but she showed me some of the sister properties that she works at and she ended up showing me the Aria and I am happy to say I am a resident there. Thank you Saray for everything you were amazing!

I live in Columbia Uptown Apartments and I have been a good resident- always pay on time, dont make noise, dont smoke, etc. Meanwhile I have had a miserable experience here- mice in 2 different apartments that continue to come back, bike was stolen from storage room while locked, AC doesnt work in over 15 units and they dont have basic replacement parts to repair. It is frustrating to pay so much money for bad service in a place where basic living conditions are unmet.
