The staff members morning, evening and night are all kind and very professional they all are their if you have any questions and definitely notice it each day.I like to greet them each day because their positive energies are inspiring. Any situation their on point especially checking each individual is greeted and makes sure they sign the list, also ask if their waiting on someone which is great.

I moved back into the Avalon in the early parts of this year (2021) and I have been very happy here. Francesca and everyone in the leasing office have been Simply the best They are very amazing people. Richard from maintenance has been wonderful at dealing with all my apartment needs and issues. So far, its been a wonderful place to live.

I wish to commend Maintenance Tech Antonio Puryear, for going the extra mile when the Gas Company had to be brought in to get our oven to work again. Antonio stayed up past midnight working to help fix the problem that had persisted for over a week. Thank you Antonio!

I moved into Avalon The Albermarle in February and I have nothing but great things to say! If youre looking for a clean place with great customer service, kind and warm concierge, this is the building for you. I also want to make sure I acknowledge Community Consultant, Francesca Wagner. She is an absolute pleasure to work with! I couldnt have found a better place to call home.

I love living here, because its not every day in a individuals you wake up each time knowing that the staff and residents including the maintenance are always joyful and its so delighting.Staff members like miriam, mrs.L, whitney, francesca, paula, robert, shaka, glenda helped me out with any questions and positive with smiles.The maintenance crew i always come across and always cool and just easy going professional Tony, also richard assisted me in the past as well.I hope i have not forgotten anybody since i familiarized myself with faces.

I am so appreciative of the maintenance team here at the Albemarle--especially Richard! The pipes rusted in our shower and needed to be replaced--sounds like a big issue, but it was barely an inconvenience at all thanks to the work of the maintenance team. Richard replaced the pipe in no time and left us with a beautiful and functional shower! Not only is the shower perfect now but were always glad to see Richard! His friendly demeanor and kindness towards others is always appreciated. It makes us feel like a part of a community, not just another tenant in an apartment building. We love the Avalon the Albemarle and we love Richard!

Richard was amazing - personal, professional and competent. I am happy to leave a 5 star review of his service today with shoutouts to Donovan and Tony. Miriam, Fran, Ledonia (sp?) and others at the front desk have also been kind, professional and good to work with.While I am here, if I were giving the entire building (including the regional management) a review, I would say it is 3.75-4 stars because it often takes more than one time to resolve a maintenance issue (although everyone is kind and professional) and customer service is uneven. Moreover, I think the rules (e.g. governing deliveries) aren’t always well conceived and there is very little flexibility in the face of need or common sense.Still, I know everyone is doing the best they can and 4 out of 5 ain’t bad. We have enjoyed living here.

My husband and I moved into the Avalon when I was very pregnant, and it would be our first home as a married couple. We were attracted to the building because it is so close to work and college, which we feel is a total blessing. From the beginning the staff was so kind especially during our multiple tours, and patient. In moving in they were responsive and helpful. However, what I would like to stress is how GREAT the management, front desk, cleaning, and maintenance staff have been during the current pandemic! Even before restrictions went into place in this area, the management sent out several emails informing residents about the virus and what they were doing to help us feel more at ease. As the city started to tighten the ropes, management continued to correspond with us. As all of our lives have been uprooted, the management have been a calm in this storm! They have been so helpful with packages, maintenance requests, and everything else, all the while personally delivering packages and cleaning! Never, ever, have they been too busy to help out, and even though this is a stressful time for us all, they have been SO nice. Special shout outs to Miriam, Ms. Francesca, Ms. L, Whitney, Ty, Glenda, our wonderful maintenance and cleaning crews, and anyone else I have failed to mention! Thank you so so much!

The whole maintenance team is truly the best. They solve any of my problems around my apartment (big or small) in an efficient and incredibly professional manner. My dishwasher stopped working, they came and took a look at it, and installed a brand new one within a couple days. I cannot thank them enough!!

This is the most responsive building I’ve lived in - with great staff all around. When we put in service requests on-line, the team responds within a day or two and always comes by promptly and solves the problem. Truly horrible experience at this community. Was told a studio was available and booked the tour as a result. Upon arrival, I was made to wait close to an hour only to be told that the studio was no longer available. Management seems off and unenthusiastic.

My roommate and I had a couple of clogged drains and my maintenance request was responded to very promptly. Richard was really efficient, polite, nice and wore a mask (that actually covered his nose and mouth) the whole time he was working in our apartment. We were really pleased with how our issue was handled.

Communication between the office and us was very good. They kept us informed and up-dated. Richard Thomas did an excellent job on the repair of AC . He was professional, courteous and friendly.

I am completely in love with this apartment complex. The staff is amazing and always helpful. I always felt welcomed every single day, with the staff taking the time to know each of their residents at a first name basis. The apartments are equipped with great appliances and the storage space in the apartment is out of this world. As I am writing this review, I would like to give a special shoutout to the Community Manager, Francesca, who always goes out of her way to meet the residents needs. Thank you for the community environment you and your team have built, it truly meant a lot.

I’ve only lived here since 2019 but must say maintenance crew has taken care of most of my problems in my apartment . Especially Richard he is polite, and willing to help with any problems I’ve had in my apartment and follows through on whatever needs to be fixed . It’s great to live in a place where you can count on things being fixed 👍🏼

FRAN! FRAN! FRAN! ... Fran absolutely has shown my toddler and myself an abundant amount of hospitality since we moved in. Fran welcomes my little one with open arms every visit that she [my toddler] makes to the leasing office, frequently. Furthermore, the front desk staff is phenomenal. The 24 hour concierge service, 365 days a year, is a huge plus. Im really enjoying my stay here and plan to stay another year.

I asked for service just yesterday and this morning the technical man, Alex, arrived with my pleasant surprise. Alex fixed my window flies (curtain) in almost no time even though it required changes of horizontal plastic upper bar and enforcement of hanging stuff. More than that, with high responsibility, he fixed other window flies in such a smooth manner given well prepared equipment and materials. What strike me the most is his nice and friendly reaction when I asked if he can also fix metal stuff and leaking water in bath tube. It took him more than an hour to fix but he did it well till the finishing touch. Such an effective handy man with friendly smile. Thank you, Alex. Thank you, Avalon The Albemarle!

The staff here are wonderful. In particular Miss Whitney and Miss Glenda at the concierge desk are awesome—theyre welcoming, kind, professional, and they know exactly what to do on the occasions I need to call about an issue. (Also, I dont think Ive ever come home without one of them greeting me with a smile. So appreciated!) The maintenance staff are also exceptional -- Ive lived here for five years and Cesar is a star. The team sets a beautiful tone for our community here!

Great place to live! Great location. Great maintenance staff. All maintenance was fixed 100% in a timely manner (usually within 1-2 business days). The management does a really good job of just not getting in the way - letting you live your in your apartment without interruption. The front desk staff (24/7) is also really good - very friendly and will meet requests. Highly highly recommend!

This cozy place is wonderful, especially with the absolutely great and always outstanding professional service from the leasing agent Miriam, who quickly makes one feel very much at home! And should you ever need any assistance, the professional and polite Caesar is always ready to go the extra mile to make sure all meet the high standard.I can highly recommend this community to everybody looking for a place in the city to call home.

This is my second year at the Albemarle - - This is a review for the maintenance crew here, Normally Im not much of a review writer - - but Cesar Amador whos in charge over here is just terrific. Routine service calls are always handled quickly and professionally. Recently I had a matter where I needed a little extra assistance, and Cesar went above and beyond. Really showing a dedication to making sure that we residents feel welcomed and comfortable here. Things like that really make a difference.

This is a great location with great floor plans. The two bedrooms re pretty huge and have a separate dinning area. The manager and the concierge team is very helpful and friendly as well. Thanks to Alex and his team for the amazing service. I highly recommend this place as we have made it home for our family!

What I like the most about The Albemarle is how personal the service is. Francesca took care of us from the very first day and she has being amazing, super friendly and caring!!!

Just moved into the Avalon the Albemarle, and the people here couldn’t be nicer or quicker to respond to issues with the move-in. Case in point - when we were starting to unbox, we noticed a problem with the wall-mounted cabinets in the kitchen. Francesca Wagner, Community Consultant, and Caesar, the Guy Who Gets Things Done Around Here, jumped all over it and corrected what was suspected to be a big headache quickly, efficiently and cheerfully. Everyone here is so upbeat and friendly - can’t walk in or out with someone saying hello or asking how my day is going. We’re so glad we chose the Avalon to live and are really pleased with the above-and-beyond attitude shown by everyone who works here. Couldn’t recommend it more.

The management at the Avalon is very responsive, supportive, and personable! Ive loved getting to know the staff throughout my time here and have appreciated the intention with which they craft the space. We love living here. In fact, when it came time to downsize from a two bedroom to a one bedroom, we felt fortunate to stay in the building. Besides the big windows, generous closets, and thick sound blocking walls, the real bonus is the staff from Miriam in the office to Glenda, Fran, Abby, and the others at the front desk to Cesar, Bert, and the maintenance crew. We also appreciate how hard they are working to bring everything up to date.

I have lived at the Avalon Albemarle for 10 months, and have been very pleased with everything. Move in was easy, repairs are taken care of promptly, and all of the staff are super friendly and helpful. The apartments are spacious, and the building location is so convenient to the metro, stores, restaurants, and Rock Creek Park. Its also walking distance to great public schools (March, Deal, and Wilson). I have absolutely no complaints about the Avalon Albemarle - we plan on living here for years to come!

This location has been very attentive to the needs of its residents. Its always kept clean, they always treat the roads and sidewalks come winter, the staff is always friendly and helpful. Shout out to Francesca at the front desk, she is making magic happen out there for everybody.

We enjoyed our time living at the Albemarle. The front desk staff and office staff made it an amazing place to live. I would recommend to anyone making a move to DC to check this place out. Jackie (in particular) was an absolute pleasure to work with and went above and beyond for us. The building itself would get 3-4 stars because it is a bit older and there are a few issues that pop us thru a given year, but the Avalon team made it a 5 for us.

One of the best parts about living here is Ronald, who works at the front desk. He always goes above and beyond, is very friendly with everyone, and is very efficient. He even knows lots of the tenants names and is always genuine in helping. The company needs to reward him for being the best!

As a returning resident to the DC, I was very overwhelmed with the many options in the Tenleytown neighborhood. My visit with Avalon The Albemarle was extremely welcoming, and Im extremely pleased with my decision.Im drawn to any place of business with great customer service.  Recently, I had an unforeseen malfunction with my refrigerator. After submitting my request and having a conversation with one of the maintenance staff to explain my concern, I receive a quick response and resolution. My refrigerator was replaced within 24 hours. Additionally, I did not have to miss work, and my perishable cold items were transferred to the new refrigerator in a VERY neat fashion.Its the little things that make a big difference in my life. Wonderful place to live - great neighborhood and a very well run building. Maintenance requests are taken care of the same day - they even shoveled my car out of the blizzard of 2016! I highly recommend the Albemarle.

I gave this place a zero star if I could. Pure disappointment. Can not wait to finish our lease. The place is poorly managed. Everything is a quick fix and nothing is done properly. Everyday is a stress living here and it is not worth it. Run away!

This is a fabulous building! I highly recommend it!The building is always clean and has nice interiors, good lighting, fast elevators, a nice little gym, great laundry room, and a lovely roof terrace. The management - Miriam, Francesca, Ladonya, Whitney, and the other great concierge staff - is super friendly, helpful, and responsive. The maintenance staff is fantastic too. They respond quickly, skillfully, and in a friendly and professional manner.There is indoor parking for a fee or park on the street for free. Our driveway makes unloading a car full of stuff at the building easy, and Uber/Lyft pickups easy too. If your apt. doesnt face Conn Ave., its very quiet in the building/neighborhood.The location is fabulous: 7 min walk to the Van Ness/UDC red line stop, easy access to all of NW and NE DC, suburban MD, and can get to I-66 in 15 mins (w/out traffic). Within blocks, there is a great wine and cheese store (Calvert Woodley Liquor), Bread Furst (best bakery in DC), car wash, Giant Food, CVS, dry cleaners, great barbershop, nail salons, hair salons, brand new deluxe grocery store/cafe/butcher/fromagerie, Golds Gym, banks, good restaurants, amazing farmers market May-Nov, and we are literally across the street from Rock Creek Park. There are public tennis courts, a playground, and a softball field across the street too.Im a native Washingtonian. Before moving here, I compared prices and what Id get for those prices in terms of amenities and location all across the city, Silver Spring, and Arlington. This was the best I could find, and I couldnt be happier.- KO 11th Floor

Would absolutely NOT recommend living at the Albemarle. Ive lived in two separate units in this building, and my experience has been awful in both. Avalon will try to get you to sign onto a lease with great deals (free month of rent, etc.), but will raise rent rates astronomically after the first year of the lease. My leases have lasted one year, and two years respectively because of that reason. I even decided to stay for a second year on my second lease even after Avalon raised the rent by *ten* percent.The front office staff is incredibly rude, and frankly, will lie to you if it means Avalon losing money. Our apartment floor was damaged when water from our AC unit leaked underneath. The repair crews damaged furniture. The office staff (Jackilu, specifically), denied that the repair crews had caused the damages without even as much as an investigation. I escalated the issue to someone higher up in Avalon, and after their investigation, determined that the repair crews had, in fact, damaged our furniture.In my two years on the second lease, Avalon lost three packages that were to be delivered to my apartment. Again, Avalon denied culpability, which cost me over $250.While Albemarle advertises quality amenities, it simply isnt worth it. The gym is so small, I used it maybe three times in the three years I lived there. Same with the rooftop deck.The cost savings in the first year is not worth the headaches throughout the term of the lease and the significant cost increase after year 1.Moving out in July, and never ever looking back. Hopefully this review will deter you from making the same mistake I made (twice).

That staff at Avalon The Albemarle have been the reason that we have been so happy at this building. People like Taahira, Jackilu, and Miriam, work hard on a daily basis to ensure their residents are completely happy with their living situation. I can speak with absolute confidence in saying that they have made the Avalon a home continually throughout my time here. Making themselves readily available, prepared for anything and professional no matter what, is the reason that my roommates and I have continually enjoyed living her.

I live at the Albermarle and I must say that I love it! Although its an older building, it is very well maintained. The staff are fantastic! Miriam, Sales Service Adviser, is one of the most professional yet personable people Ive met. In fact, the entire staff are very courteous and responsive to residents needs. Ms. Fran and the front desk staff seem to know each residents name and are always polite and helpful. For my family and me, moving into the Avalon at the Albermarle was a great decision. Finally, the entire area offers tremendous convenience, stores, shops, schools, libraries, parks, nigthlife, etc., .

Weve been extremely happy with the staff and crew at the Albemarle for the entire time weve lived here. The maintenance staff, including Cesar and Alex, are always very responsive, friendly, and thorough in making any needed repairs or addressing emergent issues. The front desk team, such as Fran, Glenda, and Toi, have always been exceedingly friendly, helpful, and professional. Weve also never once had issues getting packages delivered, unlike in some other places weve lived. Finally, the administrative team, Miriam and Jackilu in particular, are really stellar as well. They send useful e-mails to tenants, are responsive and on top of any issues or questions, and are just a pleasure to engage with. Miriam has remembered our names and kindly greeted us since day one. Engaging with all of these folks has truly made living here a more positive experience for us. Staff quality is something thats hard to gauge on tours but has a major impact, and in this regard the Albemarle has outshone pretty much everywhere else weve lived across several cities.

Maintenance was quick and professional. My Dishwasher broke while operating..water was everywhere. Five stars to Cesar and Mark.

The apartments are spacious, the neighborhood is vibrant and safe, and the common areas are well-maintained. The maintenance crew is responsive and professional and really tries to avoid any unnecessary disruption. We have been extremely happy with our experience here.

Ive been living in Avalon The Albemarle for 2 years already. Its located near Rock Creek Park and Van Ness metro station. Giant and CVS are also located nearby, its very quite neighborhood. There are 2 walk-in closets and hardwood floors in the apartment, a lot of light. Amenities include gym, rooftop and bike room, which is nice.Avalon The Albemarle staff is great and management here tries to do their best to help. Concierge team is always polite and helpful, especially Glenda and Taahira, also management, including Sarah, Jackilu, Miriam and also Adrian, is always friendly and effective. The building is not new, but they are doing an excellent work here - they all are extremely helpful and professional, giving best advise and helping to resolve any issue. Im very glad to live here in Avalon The Albemarle!

It was extremely frustrating to get weekend service for a clogged kitchen sink. The people at weekend maintenance service were useless. It took multiple calls and SIX hours before someone finally arrived. I expect more.
