Alan is definitely the top barber in Walnut Creek, I am always impressed by his work and his ability to keep a conversation going during the haircut; I will not go to any other shop in the Bay Area. Check out Amplify ASAP!

Alan and William are both great conversationalists and do a great job cutting hair. I also like their dogs!

Great place been going there for over twenty years

My Dad and I each got a trim, with my Girlfriend and Mother as the audience. The barbers treated us like celebrities! Ive never laughed so much during a haircut. Came out looking very sharp and tidy. Ill be back.

William is a great barberhe actually uses the straight razor and I appreciate that in a barber now days.Dogs are friendly and could care less about your existence I have been there over 4 times now an feel like I can make this review appropriately.

Ive been coming here for over 15 years, and have been bringing my 6 year since Alan did his first haircut. Alan and the crew are great. Best haircuts around. Family owned and operated. This place is versatile, and can offer up any experience you could want. Elie is a joker so watch out for him, always playful and happy and really good with kids. William is the quiet serious type with steady hands and a relaxing chair that can put you to sleep while he cuts your hair. Joanna is always great to talk to and very nice. She is also great with kids. Alan is my go to. Some days he is a singer, other days a comedian, or a listening ear with insightful responses to your problems, he is always a master at his craft. Overall everyone here is a pleasure to be around, and the cuts are great.

Good place for a good quality cut, pet friendly and the owner was super friendly. If you do not like dogs do not go here. But definitely recommend.

I’ve been getting my hair cut at Amplify for the last year now and have yet to receive anything less than a great cut.The entire staff is welcoming and friendly, doesn’t really matter who cuts your hair bc they’re all fantastic. (The owner and his wife are also great with kids haircuts too)There’s a reason they’ve been in business for so long! If you’re looking for a real “barbershop” in WC, look no further than Amplify!

Interesting. I took my employer there. Id never been to a real barber shop so it was a new experience. They are dog-friendly apparently. They offered water, and beer.

Been coming here for years (ever since my last barber passed on RIP Wes at The Viking SF, you are missed). Loud, funky, and everyone here can cut hair. Owner Alan is a perfectionist and keeps a close eye on every cut.

If youre looking to get a haircut faster than you can register the fact that you indeed got a haircut, look no further. Now I know what you might be thinking, with speed comes mistakes, but let me reassure you, these guys deliver a great cut every time. 25 dollars for a cut and youre out in 30 minutes, tops. My son and my husband came here some months back. The cuts were ok. But they werent too comfortable with the dig being in the shop and just the overall cleanliness. Thats why they get a 2 🌟 rating . I think they changed locations though,so maybe the new place is better. I look forward to reviewing that.

Walked in. Got helped right away which was nice. The person who cut my hair is the older asian gentleman. And until I got home for a closer inspection (they face you away from the mirrors while they cut), I thought it was an okay cut.So when I go take a closer look in my mirror at home, its one of the worst cuts Ive had in a long time. I asked for a little off the top; he replies with okay so even it out? Well, he did the opposite. Its the most uneven cut Ive ever had. You can SEE the dips in my hair where he cut too short and left the rest long (he only used scissors on the top; I have A LOT of thick hair, no way to even it out with JUST scissors). The top of my hair is all different lengths.Then I look at the back. He dipped into my hairline with a razor in the back forming a jagged indent of shaved hair! Im in disbelief at how bad it is for $24 plus tip. Id expect this from a $10 haircut. I guess thats why the entire cut took about 20 minutes.Im not sure about the rest if the barbers as this was my only experience. And although he was polite (for the most part), I cannot recommend this shop nor will I ever be returning.

Dropped in for the first time while I was on business in the area. Tatiana was very friendly and did a great job on my hair! They are definitely my away from home barber shop! Everyone that was in there appeared to be a regular by the high level of interaction between the staff and the customers. My kind of place!

Great care and patience while cutting our little babys hair. We went on a Saturday which meant that there was a bunch of kids for my daughter to play with. Very family friendly.

Horrible experience!! I have asked for cleaning up my beard line, he ended up cutting off my beard. We have talked about leaving it long before any service was performed. Suggestion was to leave it long but make it tidy. Places is not for customers that have requests. If you are cultivating your beard, stay away!! They will hack it.

The only barber in Walnut creek thats open Sundays. Staff is always friendly and do a good job. Great with kids too.

Just not high quality work. I am went to get my beard lined up and the guy that preformed the work did such a horrible job, that I had to go to another barbershop to get it fixed.It was uneven, and looked like it was done from a person with zero experience.Here is a good way to define this place:If you are the groom of a wedding, dont goIf you have an important job interview, dont go.If you a have a model shoot to attend, dont goIf you need something quick and easy and dont care, go here.If you want something slightly better than Super Cuts, go here.
