I was hit in my rental car and the car was totaled (I was not at fault). Every time I have called Avis about this, I spend hours on hold and get redirected from person to person to person. Its been nearly a month since my wreck and I still do not have a replacement car; Ive had to rent a car with another car company in the meantime. Ive now been told I will have to pay for the impound lot for the last month even though I gave them the impound information on the day of the accident. I am just baffled and shocked that any company could care so little about their customers. It was not a pretty wreck, I could have died. Yet Im the one spending hours a week on the phone and paying for a rental car I dont even have. I feel like I need a lawyer for Avis, not the person who hit me.
This has got to be the worst run franchise I have ever experienced. Always one person working and patrons have to stand outside to wait to be serviced. Super slow every time I have come here. I will take Mt business elsewhere from now on.
Great staff, car couldve been a bit cleaner but with the construction 5 away its understandable! Overall excellent experience!

For the length of time I have patronize this company and now I need to put a Large amount down just to rent . In addition to excessive amounts of charges to rent; the holding amount should be reconsider to go back to its original fees (0) or a reasonable holding amount should be reevaluated.
The guy at the front was the biggest a$$h0l3 I’ve ever met in my life. 25 mins went by and he didn’t say anything to me. When I finally said something after being tired of waiting there, he gave me attitude. Then ended up not giving me a car because he said I caused damage to a car I had picked up less than an hour earlier at the airport. The guy lacked any sort of professionalism and manners but not surprised for Waldorf. So glad I moved from Maryland. If anyone goes here GOOD LUCK.
Some of the staff is very professional and patient, which is why I’ve returned several times, but I have the following complaints hence the reason for the low rating. The cars tend to be on the dirty side (food in between the seats, trunk not vacuumed, stains on the seats/mirrors)—I don’t trust that they will actually do the “enhanced” cleaning that they’re now advertising as the basic cleaning seems to be a big challenge for them. I’ve also been given vehicles with the tire pressure light clearly on and various fluids below the minimum line or on empty (windshield fluid). I don’t get why these obvious things continue to be overlooked—it has to be laziness. Also, because there tend to be one person at the counter, or even when there are two, because some of their transactions can take a while, be sure to confirm your rates as it’s not your fault that you had to wait 30-40 mins. Avis/Budget Group brand promises are not practiced at this location—not on a regular basis anyway. Step it up guys and take more pride in your work—or quit!! You’re bringing this business down.
08/01/20 Staff and customer service great! I picked truck up flithy! Unsanitary, stains, and food left from previous customer. Oil light indicated oil needed changing, their reasoning reset wasnt set. So how was I suppose to assume that? Tired had slow leak. Had to delay my trip to get vehicle cleaned and contemplate going to pay for a oil change since my trip was long distance. Bad experience! Put damper on my trip. Stressful trip! It should be mandatory that all return vehicles be properly SANTIZED before renting out vehicle. No excuse! I tried to return vehicle they where closed. Called avis Corp. Couldnt find me a similar vehicle or upgrade anywhere in DMV. So I had to take vehicle anyways bcuz trip was time sensitive and no availability of any other vehicle.
Small place, but they hustle in there. They try to accommodate everyone as quickly as possible. My vehicle was dirty, they offered to wash it, but I was in a hurry. They discounted me upon returning the vehicle what I paid to get it washed.

Avis / Budget Car / Truck Rental is an absolute total disappointment. No inventory, no staff but plenty of excuses. Asked me to wait with 10 people in line for an anticipated transfer of vehicles in the next hour. Avis / Budget would be wise to disassociate themselves with this facility.

Made a reservation through 1800 number and was told they closed at 3. Online it said 5 (it was changed online while I was standing in the parking lot waiting for a ride). We made the reservation for 2. Got there at 2:03. Door was locked and the person we could see through the window wasn’t moving to open it. Oh and 5-7 business days to refund reservation charge. I’ll never use Avis again.

Worst rental car experience ever. Waited 50 with only 2 people ahead of me. Guys at counter walked off for larger portion of time. No updates what he was doing.Building is a dump also - no air-conditioning.

Horrible policies. I prepaid with my credit card and wanted to cancel my reservation. The cancellation fee is 150.00!! That should be illegal. Never use Avis!!
