Very friendly staff especially angel she was the best very professional at all times I was even there when she had to deal with a unruly who was caught smoking in the car I will be going back just because of her it’s hard to find good customer service outside of chic fil a bit hertz has definitely found a gem with her.
My wife rented a gmc acaida an from the start had to add oil 3 quarts low... then a day in the frontlest an back front tires had to add air every day... the vents on the inside kept falling out ...it kept through in warning that the oil needed changed .. very aggravated about the experience....
If I could give zero stars I would. I usually go with Enterprise or AVIS, but I received a 40% off discount from my hotel to use Hertz Rental services. This was a horrible idea. Hertz has the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. The vehicle I picked up was saturated and reeked with the smell of marijuana, however, the employee didn’t seem to mind as he stated, “I’ll mark the smell of smoke on your account.” When I asked to have a different vehicle, I was told, “no there are not anymore on the lot and this was the only option.” I find this ironic because I pointed at an available vehicle of the same model class on the lot, but it was given to another person who came in AFTER me. The employee also informed me that the car wasn’t cleaned prior to me picking it up, but asked me to sign the contract before getting in the vehicle quickly with me not getting time to read it beforehand. With us being in a global pandemic, it was and remains completely unacceptable. I spent the beginning of my trip stopping by 5 different Hertz locations 4 hours away from the original pickup location just for them to tell me to go to an airport because of the cars smell of marijuana it needed chemically cleaned. As I return to Maryland to drop off the vehicle, I spoke to a woman that claimed to be the manager, who then informed me she spoke to the manager in the same conversation, lying to me to try and avoid finding me a resolution. They offered me the corporate number which does not solve any problems, and decided to tell me I’ll be charged extra for returning it after hours, when the corporate resolutions team who extended it a day said it wouldn’t cost extra to drop off after hours. It appears that corporate Hertz and their locations are so out of synch with one another, that they can’t coordinate successful resolutions for customers that have been given unsafe, unclean vehicles. There was absolutely no gold standard seal on this car, and the employee seemed entirely content with renting me a disgusting vehicle with potential COVID-19 exposure, I cannot even fathom the disregard for safety here. Avoid this business, at all costs. This level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable, and I will be notifying anyone who asks me why I don’t rent from hertz, especially from the Waldorf, MD location—including my business colleagues, to my friends and family who are high level Hertz customers.

Worst location to rent a car... They will scam you for $400 if u do a drop off because they dont do the final run thru to make sure the car is clean.. and will lie and say it smells like smoke!!!!!!
I put my insurance company on notice I never ever want to rent a car from this location ever again. ENTERPRISE IS THE BEST.

This place is horrible. I arrive at 8:45AM for my 9:00AM pickup and there is absolutely zero customer Service Representatives coverage at the counter. I waited until 9:20am. Another customer arrives to pick up a vehicle at 8:30AM. He decides to go to Budget since ther are no Representatives at the desk. I decided to use Enterprise where I received excellent customer service during business hours.At this Hertz facility you can show up during business hours but there is no on to assist you. I recommend use your time wisely and use another Rental service.
They promised me a van when I got there and gave me a truck. Which I needed a van because it had more space for moving. I took the truck home to start moving and realize it wasn’t big enough so I called and asked what will be my fee for having it for just a few hours the guy told me all I had to do was fill the gas back that I used for the truck which wasn’t much. I bring the truck back and they charge me for a full day rental. Which doesn’t make sense if I only drove it for only a few hours. They have poor customer service and I will never use HERTZ again. Enterprise is way better!

The service representative was professional and friendly, but the location and environment is to be desired. The Hertz sits inside of a dirty Pep Boys establishment with a makeshift desk in front of the hubcaps. Definitely not pleasing to the customer and please dont bring children, not the place for small children. I will not come back to this location. They did not have a decent selection of vehicles. Hertz should be ashamed...these are poor working conditions for their employees!
They promised a particular kind of car. We paid for that kind of car. We didnt get that car. They shuffled us around to 2 other (very far) locations to finally be told that they dont even allow exchanges because of the location where we got the car we didnt want. Never using any Hertz ever again.Im the type of customer who is Loyal to a brand who has impressed me. I only fly JetBlue and I prefer to stay at Hiltons. Hertz has yet to earn my trust. I need suggestions for good car rental companies.
