Had two new heat pump systems installed. Ive had JT Mechanical maintain my systems for about 20 years. At the beginning it was Jeff Thomas himself that worked on my systems, then his son Mike, and more recently fine young men Jeff has hired, including military veterans. These guys are fantastic. My heating issue was fixed quickly. They came out last minute and was able to get my issue fixed without waiting. I know not all heating issues are simple, but these guys were professional and small town helpful. We had the guys at our house twice in two days when our system quit cooling and we had to to make the decision to replace it. We were so relieved when they told us they would be able to squeeze us in and get everything installed the next day. This was amazing since we have small children in the house. Our furnace went out the day after Thanksgiving this year. I called JT Mechanical Saturday morning and the owner Jeff was at our house within a few hours. Being a holiday weekend, only one supply shop was open with the part we needed. Jeff drove to another city to pick the part up in order to get our heat up and running that day. The following Monday Jeff called to see how everything was working and said he wanted to come back out to make sure there wasnt a problem with our heat exchange. It turns out that our heat exchange had in fact cracked in two places due to a bad install we had done 2 years ago. After seeing the holes in the exchange, I was even more grateful for Jeffs attention to detail. He walked me though my current HVAC system, explaining where the issues were and offering solutions. My only regret was that I didnt call JT Mechanical 2 years ago when we had the system installed! On the hottest summer day I called them to come service my unit because it stopped putting out cold air. Jeff and his team came out and replaced our old heat pump. Jeff was polite, professional and very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain why my old system was not cooling or heating the house properly. My air handler was original to the house and the returns were not adequate to move enough air.His team installed the new Carrier system in 2 days about 10 days ago and our house has been very comfortable. Jeff ensured that we were happy with the install and clean up and made sure we knew how to properly operate everything.

27 Aug 19-recieved a phone call from Jeff Thomas stating that they were sorry about my inital encounter with them, apparently there were issues behind the scenes that I was not aware of and because of those issues they are unable to accept my job. I am giving them five stars because of the phone call which led to a much more positive inteaction with the company. I wish Jeff the best and hope things work out for themWhen the tech came out to give me an estimate he seemed really irritated over questions I had about installation, interrupted me so he can take a phone call then said I have to go without any explanation, I ask him About the estimate and he said someone will get back to me.....two weeks later no word about the estimate, I really would have liked to work with this company based upon the solid reviews I have read, maybe i caught them on a bad day

Had hybrid air come out the week prior and they quoted us a $4800 job for something that was completely unnecessary! JT came out and were very friendly and honest! They gave us a more reasonable solution right off and fixed the problem! So thankful for them coming out same day I called and made the appointment.

JT Mechanical installed a mini-split system in my sunroom last spring and they were excellent. It was a very reasonable price and they were the most professional and courteous folks I have ever had work in my home. Just today my thermostat on the house system broke. Did I call the company that installed that system? No way! I called JT Mechanical and they were able to come out within a few hours and replace the thermostat. You will not be disappointed if you choose JT Mechanical.

All you need to know: Easy to schedule, arrived on time, quick service, friendly / knowledgeable technician, fair price. I would definitely use this company again.Appoint was easy to make. They didnt give me a three hour window, rather a specific time and stuck to it. Serviceman, David, found the problem quickly and gave me the price prior to him fixing anything. There were no extra charges what he quoted was exactly what I paid. From David arriving to me paying took all of 15 minutes and was fairly priced. $178 to replace a broken capasator and inspect the rest of the system. He didnt try to sell me a new system, just advised that it was near its expected service life. Very good company from my expierence.

I have a business with JT Mechanical Co. for years, but I am so disappointed their service today because they came out yesterday to find out the heating system problem for me was drain line backup and we fixed but the heating system does not work. They came our today then find out another problem was zone damper working backward then we have to pay them again to fix it....why dont they find out the problem from the first time?.. and the heating system was replaced about 5 years ago, we have no problem since....why we have the problem with damper working backward today?

Woke up this morning to a freezing cold house. Our furnace wasnt working. Called JT as theyd done work for us in our previous VA Beach home and were very helpful and reasonably priced then. They came out today within 3 hours of our call, right at the promised time, and fixed the issue for a minimal charge. My Grandma contract them for a year at a time and she payed for the hold years .when they came to check the system he said that it was fine.the next week it was broken if they check it out it should have not broken so soon.so she called them back and they charge her 7hunder and fifty dollars.she is 76 year old and can not afford it and she had to pay the hold year up front so she ask for the last week back and they said that she was to late to get her money back.

Back in July I noticed our HVAC system seemed to be straining to keep the house cool, so I did some research online, called a few contractors (including Jeff @ JT) to discuss my issues, and ended up going inviting JT Mechanical to come out and help me with a diagnosis. My wife and I are so happy we did.Not only was the JT Mechanical team prompt, courteous, and professional, they also went above and beyond what we expected from them by helping us understand the symptoms, the options to fix them, and process of doing so. Unfortunately, Jeffs team helped us discover that while we thought we had a complete ~13 year old Carrier HVAC system, previous owners had actually only replaced the outdoor portion of the unit and had just nursed the original attic portion since the house was built (1986).After educating us on how our system worked and outlining our options to fix the issue, Jeff told us to sleep on it before making the final decision on a short term, inexpensive band-aid fix to get by for a little while longer or investing in a complete replacement. The lack of selling that occurred was greatly appreciated, because the last thing we wanted to deal with after learning about the issues we were dealing with us someone trying to up sell us on something we may or may not need.On install day Jeff himself came out to walk us through what theyd be doing, timetables, and answer any questions we had. His team was very knowledgeable about the Carrier system they were putting in and everyone was more than happy to stop what they were doing and discuss what they were doing with us if we had any questions.Sorry for the long-winded explanation -- There were many parts of our experience with JT Mechanical I wanted to share.BOTTOM LINE -- As long as we live in this area I will be calling Jeff @ JT Mechanical for our HVAC needs.

I need to have my HVAC checked for the sale of my home. David of JT Mechanical came out and was very professional, gave my wife a great assessment on the HVAC. I would highly recommend JT Mechanical for there honest service. My wife was there alone, David explained what he did and and the condition of the HVAC, there was no fear of crazy additions other companies try to get by woman. Thanks JT MEchanical.
