AC went out. We used Angies list and found Hybrid Air. They were out the following day. Confirmed it was the compressor on a very old unit that we had been patching up for the last 2 years. We were provided with some temporary units to cool our home until they installed our new unit. The installers worked hard and for 2 days and did a great job.. Still waiting on the heat strip so that are on back order.. Everyone was professional and courteous and we are pleased with this company.Would definitely recommend!

I contracted with this company to perform preventative maintenance. Everything checked out okay. No repairs needed. Immediately following the service our a/c unit stopped working. I had to get the unit working quickly since it was a tenant occupied property and allowed Hybrid Air to repair the unit. It seems too much of a coincidence our system that was working great broke after Hybrid Air performed their maintenance.

Nick Lovette came through to troubleshoot my system not reaching desired temperature. I had to leave for a meeting but he agreed to return the following day to ensure the issue was fully identified and repaired. Professional, knowledgeable, courteous and timely in restoring my system. Many thanks to Hybrid Air for getting me in within 48 hours and the reminders and notification of when to expect the technician, thats excellent customer service!

Hybrid Air stood head and shoulders above competitors for their fast and professional response. Hybrid Air’s serviceman, Chris, was early for the scheduled appointment and conducted the consultation very professionally. He presented all the options. He also offered and delivered temporary window units until he could complete the installation of the new A/C compressor. Installation was completed on time and he hauled away all the old parts. All contacts with Hybrid Air was a breath of fresh air, especially Chris. Hybrid Air is highly recommended for their genuine care for their customers.

We received exceptional service. Our AC stopped working. I called and the technician was at our home in a little over an hour. He identified the problem, called to find out the parts availability, picked it up the next morning and had us up and running before noon, well under 24hours. At each step, I received a call to know what to expect. This level of service is much appreciated.

This is to let everyone know that this company is the worst, about keeping HVAC maintenance appointments. I have had an appointment scheduled for the morning time slot for nearly 2 weeks and it was confirmed yesterday afternoon with the dispatcher KEVIN. I based the rest of my work day on this appointment. There was no calls today. I had to call at 11:45 am to find out what was going on. I asked to speak to KEVIN and he was conveniently at lunch. The only resolution they offered was to reschedule me. No discounts offered on my extended service plans no nothing. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.So I want to update my original review. My second attempt to have them come and provide me with my service agreement contract. I rescheduled with them again for the first appointment of the day, 2 weeks ago. It was confirmed yesterday with their office for 8-10am arrival. Well they did not show up in the time frame. So I called in an spoke with KEVIN again. He stated tech was 20 minutes away. So at 10:35 am KEVIN called back and said the tech was still approximately 20 minutes away. At this point I told KEVIN to talk to the owners/managers about refunding me my pre-paid service contract because I was not happy with their service and that I will be using another HVAC company to do my service work in the future. This company is having HUGE issues!

PHENOMENAL. Kelly was the lady I spoke with on the phone, incredibly polite and helpful. She was able to squeeze us in same day, which was a life saver with two long hair dogs and two babies. We had blew a fuse when trying to replace our thermostat by ourselves... Chris was our technician. He found the problem within 10min of being here and knew exactly how to fix it based. He was knowledgeable about why type of AC unit we had, I didn’t even know we had a split system! He was polite and efficient. He got the job done in 30min. Could not say enough good things about this company!

Words cannot express how happy I am with this company! My AC stopped running on a Sunday, and after calling 10+ other companies, I came across Hybrid Air. They were the ONLY company I spoke to who was able to come that day, within a few hours. Unfortunately, mother nature had other plans and brought a lovely storm our way, so they were unable to make it that day. They did reschedule for the following morning with a window of 9:30- 11:30. Chris arrived right at 9:30. Fortunately it was a relatively easy fix and he was able to get my ac up and running in less than a half hour. Kevin was extremely helpful with scheduling, and Chris is a wonderful technician. You can tell they really care about their customers. If you need HVAC repair, these are the guys to call!

I called Hybrid Air at 8am because my house was 80 degrees and the day was going to be in the 90s. They re routed a tech and he was at my door within a couple of hours. Job was completed professionally and we were given details as to what was done and what to expect. Unfortunately we had to sleep in 80 degrees, no fault of the repair, (we were told it would take several hours to cool and the high humidity would affect the cooling) but we woke up to a freezing 68 degrees and it actually felt good to step outside in the heat. Customer service was outstanding as well. Our point of contact, Kelly, made sure we were up to date on calls, concerns, and service. She was exceptional in relaying messages from techs to us when we had concerns and reassuring us of things in detail. Price was a little higher than expected but I treat service like I treat my food. I’d far rather pay a little more for a great experience than to walk away unsatisfied. I highly recommend these guys to anyone needing HVAC service.

Highly recommend hybrid air, the technicians were punctual, professional and friendly. I was having an air distribution problem, three out of my four bedrooms were getting close to zero AC/heat. These guys came in and did a fantastic job! The ducting in the attic looks 100 times more organized now and every room in the house matches what the thermostat is set to, thanks again guys😁

First, Hybrid Air cares enough about their customers to have a person answer the phone, not an answering machine or service. I needed AC repair and called on Saturday afternoon. The woman I spoke with was helpful and honest about how long it would take to get the technician to come out. Since it would have been really late before the tech could get to me, I scheduled an appointment for first thing on Sunday morning (but I was given the option). The next morning, Chris called at 800 am and was at my house by 8:30. He had the issue resolved by 9:30 or so. Hybrid also texted and emailed a short bio and picture of Chris to me prior to his arrival. After this I recommended that a friend call Hybrid and she was able to get a next day appointment as well.Thanks for being responsive and professional and getting our AC running on a Sunday!

Hybrid air installed a tankless water heater. They were efficient and their quality of work was exceptional. When they came indoors they removed their shoes and cleaned up after themselves. The only complaint was they arrived closer to 10 am than the 8 am time they were scheduled. I would highly recommend Hybrid Air. Good quality and a great value.

Before reaching out to Hybrid Air the gas company suggested another company to hook up a line for us. We contacted them, made an appointment and they came over to do an estimate. They gave us a rough estimate of $500-$1,500, but told us they will get back with us right away with a complete cost. The next day they emailed us with a quote of $1600... My husband was in shock with the quote. After discussing the price my husband and I decided to look for another company and found Hybrid Air on Google. He filled out the information that was needed and waited for a response which he received right away. Made an appointment 2 days later.Mind you each situation is different in other homes, meaning the lines they’ll have to connect varies in prices depending what needs to be done and how far the line will have to get connected. In our situation our price came to $800, which we were definitely ecstatic. We scheduled our service a few days later. The gentleman that came over was very professional. And thorough.We are definitely happy with the result.We wanted to recommend Hybrid Air for any services you may need done they are awesome👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼

Poor communication. They did not show up close to on-time and I did not get any notice that they were running late, and no notice of when the tech was on his way, so for 3 days I had to have someone at my house just waiting until they showed up. The first day they didn’t have the part to fix my hot water heater and said they’d be back Thursday. I waited all day Thursday and got no word from them. Finally I heard at 2:00 that they still didn’t have the part so they would come Friday. But they never gave me a time and they didn’t contact me to tell me when the tech was coming, so I called them and they said “oh he’ll be there soon” so I had to call my father to rush over to my house to wait for him. They should tell people when to expect someone and please communicate if that person is running late or if they’re not coming at all! We have other things to do than wait around just in case someone shows up.Edit: I’ve just removed a star because they had the nerve to call me a week later and ask for more money for the job?! It was paid in full but apparently they didn’t keep good records of my payment and asked for another $220. When I explained that it was paid in full, the representative put me on hold to investigate. I waited on hold for close to 10 minutes before I just hung up.

Absolutely terrible experience from beginning to end. Numerous rescheduling due to vehicle breakdowns equipment failure and then of course later on the weather. If you value your sanity choose someone else. Anyone else but this company.When The technician installed the new water line and disconnected from the old meter. He left me with no water without mentioning that he didn’t have everything he needed to complete his job. No word to the owner, his boss, nothing and completely left the job unfinished. This company had the nerve to charge me a “late night” fee for having the technician come back the same day to finish his own job!!!!Again!!! Do not hire this company.

Our Thermostat is saying service maintenance needed. Tried to troubleshoot but cannot since this is programmed by Hybrid for Trane.Heating worked great, but now it is Summer and needs to be service after 6 months of installation. This Unit was installed by Hybrid Air in the fall of 2020. Which means we never got to experience how our Cooling System works. Why did it take too long for service to come to our house in late Spring?The service requested in Feb. 2021 WAS NOT A MAINTENANCE CHECK and we were billed $90.00. It was a quote request for gas pipeline relocation, which was not done during the furnace relocation to the attic. The existing gas pipe lines remained in place and left out as not included in the new HVAC installation contract. The quote was exorbitant. We found a company that charged so much less than Hybrid.The Thermostat now turns on & off & does not release cold air flow.We have a labor warranty as well as the Units Warranty. Why could this not be applied? Hybrid was only good to the customer prior to installation, because they want our business $$$!Hope this text reaches to everyone that is connected with the estimate quote and installation process.I will not sign Hybrids every 6 months service maintenance contract.

I like how you get a text message of who’s going to be coming to your house for the service and some background about them - it’s an appreciated added level of safety for the customer! Our family was looking for a whole home generator. Pretty quick response time. Prices are average compared to competitors. They were able to remove/install my HVAC within 7 days of the initial call. Took about 8 hours to the process. Very professional crew.

It was a professional job from start to finish. Neil worked with us to arrive at the system that was best for us and stayed competitive with their pricing. Kevin & Christian did most of the install in a very difficult cramped attic. They were very knowledgeable about what to do and managed to get the huge air handler into the attic. It was concerning that it would fit. It was a 5 day job and they cleaned up afterwards like they werent even here. Well done guys.

I contracted Hybrid Air to install a Trane 3 ton XL18i Heat Pump System in May 2016. I Have a Trane equipment warranty and a Hybrid Air labor warranty and I purchased a $255 yearly service Contract with Hybrid Air all in force and paid up. On a routine service visit in 2020 a technician found low refrigerant which indicated a refrigerant leak. He did not search for the leak other than putting some soapy water on the pipe solder connection connecting the line set to the compressor and said he thought there was a pin hole leak there and he put some solder on the connection. I did not believe there was a leak there. The next service visit confirmed the leak was not fixed and refrigerant volume was lower. Hybrid Air proceeded to give several reasons why they could not repair my heat pump under my warranties. The first reason was they believed my line set was not installed by them and they believed the leak was in the line set ( even thought they had not looked for the source of the leak) and the repair would not be covered under warranty because they did not install the line set. I have their Work Order proving that they did install the line set and I think they did agree with that. Next reason they gave was, they had to use a procedure to look for the refrigerant leak and that the labor required to find the leak was not covered under the labor warranty and it would cost me $359 for them just to look for the leak. I asked for time to think about that charge and could they put in a couple of pounds of refrigerant in the Heat Pump to keep the system running, they said it would cost me #359 for a couple of pounds of refrigerant even though y refrigerant only costs $3.00 a pound according to one of their own technicians. After several more weeks I got a call from a technician asking if I wanted him to come out and fix my system and he said it would not cost me anything, I said sure. He came out the next day and for the first time a technician actually searched for and found the refrigerant leaks in the Heat Pump Evaporator Coil. He called the warehouse and confirmed a replacement coil was available locally and asked if I wanted him to come out in a couple of days to replace the coil I said yes, he then said it will cost me $798 for refrigerant ( even though the system only holds a maximum of 10 1/2 pounds), and asked if I wanted to pay half now, I said no. He hasnt called or been back in weeks to install the replacement Evaporator Coil so I am forced to use a different contractor.

This is the second home we have used Hybrid to install a Trane heating and a/c unit. So far we are very pleased with this install and the workers. Matthew went above and beyond making sure the job was done right. We highly recommend this company.

The office staff communicated very well the whole time and the technician did a great job. He found issues from the previous installed and fixed it all for a much lower price than other competitors were quoting for the same job.

Hybrid Air came out to look at replacing old gas line to my fireplace. I figure would get an estimate and have to schedule another appointment to have fixed. This wasn’t the case, they assessed and told me they were able to do the serve in the same day! Very impressed with Hybrid Air and their quick turnaround to the customer and Jammal my tech was professional and courteous and did a great job. Will definitely use again in the future for other services.

Unfortunately, for me, Ive spent over $3000 with this company in the last year and I had them come out for a HVAC issue because it wasnt blowing cold again. It is a separate issue than those previously repaired, however this time after being told the repair to replace the outside unit would be close to $5900 I did some research and found another local company that would perform the same repair for $3100 and that same repair would come with a 10 year warranty!!! Very disappointed with Hybrids estimate and paying $90 for a 5 minute diagnosis, especially considering I paid to be part of their maintenance club. Although the diagnosis was verified by another company, it makes me question the price of the previous repairs Hybrid performed considering their estimate for the current repair was almost double what I am paying another company for the same service. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, well guess what...it wont happen a third time. I always choose to support local businesses because I too work for a local business. All I can say is do your own research before enlisting Hybrid for your HVAC service needs and make sure youre not overpaying for the same service available from another local company. I am open to a response or questions from Hybrid related to the review I am leaving. In the voicemail Joe stated he was having a hard time understanding my review in which I slighted them even though their diagnosis was correct every time and for situations that were out of their control. If you read my review it does not at any time describe a misdiagnosis or situations that were out of their control, simply the fact of the pricing and a concern of being overcharged. I called Joe back on the number he left in the voicemail and was unable to reach him, so I left a message that I would call back later Friday or Monday. I called again on Monday at 3:00PM and again was able to reach Joe, so I left a message for him to call me. Well it is now Tuesday evening and I have not received a return call so I decided to update my post on Google. The disheartening issues are that I paid $90 for a diagnosis and the invoice description simply stated no-pumper, then the excessive repair estimate I was presented and that when I asked for an itemized estimate I was told they dont give itemized estimates, they only give the total price. At this time I have had my air conditioning repaired by another local company and my only advice is to do yourself a favor when seeking HVAC repair and call around and around.

Great price, I received five different quotes and they beat someone else’s fair estimate, after I gathered all the info. He didnt try to automatically sell me a new heater. We both agreed to try the fix to see if that was the problem instead of replacing the hot water heater. My AC was freezing up so I called Hybrid Air. They came out the next day. The tech was professional and courteous.

I purchased my AC through Hybrid last Aug. Very Satisfied. Received my second AC check up visit today that was included with that purchase. The Technician today was Shawn P. I mentioned to him that my humidity level had not improved with the new unit as I had expected. He immediately knew what to check for. My unit has a sub cooling capacity of -8. He inspected and found my capability was only set at -1. Over the years I have had and known many A/C techs. This guy knows his stuff. I am 100% satisfied with his work today and very pleased with the responsiveness of Hybrid Air Inc, to continue to look after me as a customer.

We had a Trane xe1000 heating and cooling system that is more than 17 years old. This winter it stopped to generate heat. A technician checked and found converter and compressor have issue also low on Freon that means leaking somewhere in the system. Fortunately emergency heat still works. Tell me it is time to replace the system. So I start to shop around. Put request online to three companies at late Saturday afternoon and Kurtis, from Hybrid Air, called me within one hour and scheduled next day morning, Sunday, to take look our system and recommended XR14. The other two companies called me Monday and Wednesday. So I got quotes from all three companies and Kurtis, Hybrid Air, gave me an attractive price. So I decided to go with him.I have no regret to hire Hybrid Air to do the work. They are so professional. When I see they put brand new cover on my carpet in the hall way and stair, I know I am in the right hand. Neal is very knowledgeable and skillful. From discussing our needs and recommending a system through the installation process this company knows their stuff. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you want a company that treats your home like their own, hire Hybrid Air.Kurtis is awesome. If you are looking for installing new system, get him.

I cant say enough good things about this company, their employees, their level of professionalism, their willingness to go above and beyond their job description on a daily basis, and their overall human compassion and kindness.Kurtis, the General Manager of the company, was the first to respond to me and take my problem seriously when I had been calling contractors for almost a full month just trying to get someone to respond and actually come to my home to evaluate my situation. I had a 25-30 year old original duct work and A/C system, that had been sweating so much due to the high heat and humidity (and lack of insulation in the attic and the duct work itself) and caused a lot of black mold that was spreading rapidly.After an evaluation of the property he conducted himself, he determined I definitely needed a new HVAC system and all new duct work, but he also found that I needed my attic insulated, as well as a professional restoration for the removal and remediation the mold problem. He took charge of the situation, and not only managed the HVAC portion of the job, but also managed the entire project including the scheduling of estimates and work of all the other contractors as well.I didnt have to worry about if the restoration company was overcharging (and they werent. Based on several other quotes and information from a friend in the business, they actually helped me out SIGNIFICANTLY as far as the price). I didnt have to worry about conflicting schedules between the workers. I didnt have to worry about the people going in and out of my home. At the end of the day, my situation was so bad, the total overall bill between all the contractors was around $25,000. That was a hard pill to swallow, and when Kurtis broke the news to me, I broke down in tears. he took the time to calm me down, express his most sincere condolences, but then reassure me that although the cost was high, the cost and consequences of not doing the work was higher. Had them install gas line for new stove, and it looks fantastic. Fast and really friendly. They gave me a free quote, and was cheaper than anyone else. Definitely reccomend.

Hybrid Air Arrived promptly, wasted no time and understanding my sewer drain problem, diagnosed and fixed the problem effectively and efficiently. They were friendly and attentive, and frankly could not have done a better job in my opinion.

Jammal Lindsey is a phenomenal technician. He definitely knows his job ins and outs. He was here to fix a toliet, leak in the sink, and a leaking pipe on the water heater.He took one look at the vents on my water heater, and knew it was not up to code, could trap moisture, and allow carbon monoxide to enter the residence. He called it in with everything else under the home warranty program.Then, he fixed everything to perfection and even put new piping to the hot water to fix the entire pipe since it was badly corroded.Jammal went above and beyond. His level of work was 200% and definitely up to the task. He was absolutely awesome and I highly recommend him.I wish I had known about this company before the repairs were made to my gas lines and furnance vents. I am still waiting for a callback from the management because I wanted to tell them in person how fantastic of a job Jammal did.

Not knowledgeable at all, they didn’t focus on finding any solution to the problems, their main focus is to schedule “inspection appointments” to get you to pay the initial fee and they don’t do a thorough inspection to the property. DONT GO TO THIS BUSINESS

I am in the process of selling a condo and the HVAC did not pass home inspection. I had to quickly replace it and HYBRID was able to get a new one installed in just a few days. Installation went well and everything works fine. My only complaints are that the front panel of the furnace no longer fits properly and was secured in place with an adhesive tape. I didn’t notice this until after the technician left. I think he should have brought that to my attention. Also, he replaced the thermostat, which is fine, but he took the old one with him. The old one was virtually brand new as I had installed it a couple weeks earlier. I would have liked to have kept that one.

I had been warned for a few years by maintenance techs that my old air conditioner was old and I might want to start planning for a new one. So when my air conditioning when out at the end of August, it wasn’t a total surprise. I had an estimate from Hybrid Air and got the replacement air conditioner/furnace work completed within a few days. AND I was especially and pleasantly surprised when they told me I could temporarily have a free portable room air conditioner until the job was completed. I am very happy with installation technicians and other staff - and am enjoying my nice cool house again.

We worked with Hybrid Air to completely replace our existing HVAC system. They were very quick to get us scheduled and had the entire project done in one day. They installed a new Trane AC unit and Trane gas furnace. So far our new system is running incredibly and we have felt a huge difference in the quality of life at home.The install technicians were very professional courteous. They wore masks when they were in the home and cleaned up everything when they were done. I’m so happy I chose to work with Hybrid Air for our heating & cooling needs!

Shawn performed our semi-annual maintenance today and did an outstandingly thorough job. . He checked for things most techs dont bother with, correcting problems as he found them. This is the first time in 5 years that I felt I was getting my moneys worth out of the maintenance agreement . He was highly professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. I will attempt to get his services again for my next checkup.

We obtained bids to replace our existing HVAC system from a number of HVAC dealers in Hampton Roads. Hybrid Air was selected to install a duel fuel system to include a Trane heat pump and a Trane high efficiency gas furnace.We found Ben Young and his team to be very knowledgeable and professional in his dealings with us. They highlighted areas where efficiency improvements could be made and were also price competitive when detailed comparisons were made.

Had my two zone system inspected and diagnosed for any potential repairs or issues. Tech was very professional and explained to me all the way. Fortunately system is in good shape with only some freon needed in one of the three compressors. Would use this company again.

Hired them to pressure test a gas line, connect to the meter, and set up gas logs. The tech, Jammal, was prompt & efficient, and ensured that everything was working properly before leaving.

This is my third time contracting Hybrid Air and they have been very professional and courteous.I’ve had them install my AC/Heating unit, Air Scrubber and as of today they are installing my Generac generator. We were extremely happy with the professional service we received from hybrid air and especially from Joey who did a fantastic job replacing an outdoor water tank from 1978. He found and ordered a similar replacement and the job was complete within 48 hours. The entire time both Joey and the office were updating me with the status of the order and when Joey would be back install. They were professional and easy to work with. Will definitely use hybrid air for all future projects.

My experience with Hybrid Air was incredible. My water heater was very old and needed to be replaced. The plumber, Bryan was extremely knowledgable and professional. He did a thorough job installing my new water heater, and was very helpful in explaining stuff to me. I highly recommend Hybrid Air for any of your HVAC and plumbing needs.

They also installed gas to our kitchen. We called them for a quote on Wednesday and they completed the job on Friday. Very friendly and polite. Would highly recommend them.

Jacob was extremely polite and professionalHe showed me mold growing inside the HVAC system and recommended an Air Scrubber. There was no pushiness or haggling on his part & he explained the way the process works. Since I live in a condo, there is no doubt that having this filtering system could prove invaluable. Jake also cleaned the outside Trane compressor and sprayed it with an anti fungal. It looks almost brand new. Chris called, gave me in advance, the time he would be there and he was on time :) Chris was very professional when he came to the door . Showed me his badge, then inside, already had gloves and mask on, and proceeded to put covers over his shoes .
