Very professional and thorough. Arrived early on day of scheduled service. Protected work areas with drop cloths. Took lots of care while removing old AC and furnace units. We had two complete systems replaced/ upgraded. Dave was very forthcoming with information about which P/N’s and brand of parts that would be used in our systems. Whole crew worked very well as a seamless team. Couldn’t believe how quick the job was completed. Dave explained the duration of warranty on all installed part.I would have no hesitation in recommending Hometown heating and cooling, the value and quality was outstanding.
SAVED ME THOUSANDS! I installed a new thermostat on Sunday… WRONG! The emergency tech came out and said I needed a new system and never checked the thermostat he knew I’d replaced. Three more vendors came and all quoted a new system. David was the last vendor I was meeting with and rather than jump right to a sale, he asked to troubleshoot and check the system first!!!! Imagine that! He checked the unit outside and in the attic and then the thermostat! Literally saved me THOUSANDS of dollars! I had crossed the wires wrong on the new thermostat! He also did a couple of minor maintenance repairs while he was at it! I will never go to another company! He is honest and trust worthy to do the right thing by his clients! Go here first!!!!!
I love this company and have left a few messages on the phone asking for a call back. Has anyone seen or heard from anyone from the company? The most recent reviews are like 5 months old.
Dave is the best! I had an a/c outage 2 months ago and Dave came same day and fixed it in short time for low cost. He did the same thing a year ago at my other house. I referred him to a friend for a gas furnace replacement and he was much less cost than anybody else in VB.
I’ve used hometown for years for my house and rentals. My in-laws moved here last month and their ac stopped working last week and they had someone out who wanted to charge them 800 dollars for a fan motor. Thankfully they called us to ask if we knew anyone who might be less expensive so I called David at hometown heating and he went out and did the same motor for 250. They are very happy with the service and said David and his partner were quick and professional and even fussed over their two dogs which they treat like children so were all around more than pleased. These guys are awesome and treat everyone like family.
I wanted to leave a comment because I saw a reviewer of this company that gave it a one star rating and said classic switch and bait which is so far from the truth I just had to give my experience! A friend had actually referred me to this business and I could not be happier. I had someone else quote a very high price for a repair and they said I should just replace the unit so I started asking around to see if anyone knew a good company I could get a second opinion from. My neighbor had used these guys and said I would not be sorry and would save a ton of money if I needed or repair or if I really did need a new unit. I called hometown heating and they came out that same day. I needed a capacitor and freon which cost 163.00. The other company said my compressor was bad and David, the service technician said with a bad capacitor the compressor can overheat and lock out and look like its bad. He cooled it with a water hose and everything came on and is running great. He could have tried to sell me a new compressor or unit but was honest about everything so Im assuming the switch and bait call a professional comment was a competitor. Im sure a real customer would have given details and you can just tell David is an honest person the minute you meet him and so friendly and professional. I cant urge you enough to give them a try, my neighbor was right, you wont be sorry.
John was very responsive and provided me a great deal with a new AC unit in which my old one practically failed right before our eyes. Usually Id do a lot of research into utilities and appliances but John was the go-to within our neighborhood and I did not hesitate when he quoted me his services.
Great experience, knowledgeable, super reliable, was at the house when he said he would be there, and affordable. He blew the big companies quotes out of the water. Will definitely use them for all our HVAC needs.
Our AC stopped working and after 4 days of getting the run around from our home warranty company we contacted Hometown Heating and Cooling. Dave made time to squeeze us in the following day. We couldn’t be happier with the service he provided. He was able to get our AC back up and running in under an hour and for very minimum cost. He also gave us a quote to replace our unit in the future since we thought might be coming up. His quote is thousands cheaper than others we received. Dave is honest and trustworthy. We will be using him from now on and referring all our all friends!
Ive had numerous dealings with this company, today being probably my third. Hometown Heating and Air Conditioning is a Level 1000 contractor. They explain what they did, what they would do in the future, and dumb down the mysteries so that anyone can understand them. They are super cheap (they sell you freon at cost....who does that?) and super cool. If I die and get reincarnated as a home heating and air guy, I want to come back and work for these guys.Used them again 7/12/2021 and was again super impressed. They came, gave me a diagnosis I knew was coming and installed all new stuff very quickly. These folks cannot be any better.
Great service and price! I researched and requested quotes from several companies in the area for a new AC unit. David arrived the very next morning after I called for a quote, and his price ended up being well below the other quotes we received. David was very upfront and honest during the process and took the time to respond to all of my emails, explaining the different options I had (AC vs Heat Pump) and the breakdown of cost for each. On the day of the install, David and his team arrived early, were very professional and explained everything to me once the job was complete. I’m very happy I found Hometown Heating and Cooling and highly recommend them.
Had issue with downstairs unit taking a long time to cool and upstairs unit popped breaker for upstairs condenser a couple of times in some really hot days. Different company said both units were low on R22 but didnt stock any, that I needed two whole new units, and best to get new furnaces at same time due to the level of work. While mostly accurate, David came by next day to confirm downstairs unit low on R22 and was able to charge up. Confirmed upstairs unit good on R22 and that some possible blockage is running the unit hard and wearing out the compressor, and may have to be replaced soon. Said furnaces are in good shape and will likely last much longer. Gave a good and honest quote for what a new AC unit with new could installed would cost. Highly recommended giving him a call first!
I am a lazy guy and hardly leave any feedback. But today I need to give Dave a thumb-up. They were quick and on-time. Called them at 9 am and got it fixed before lunch. The price is very reasonable. They charged $45 for the service called, $67 for replacing a capacitor and $37 for 1.5 bl freon. Total of $150. My college told me that other companies may charge that for several hundreds. I feel lucky I called Dave. I would recommend anyone who needs AC service to check their website. Its very informative - it lists all common possible problems and corresponding part cost and total fees - it is this transparency that encouraged me to call and choose their service even I never heard of them before.
A/C unit stopped working on a Sunday night, called first thing Monday morning. They checked back with us and came right out to solve the issue. Very helpful and informative. Second time we have used them and we will continue to use them for any future issues! Very fair prices
OUTSTANDING SERVICE and a FAIR PRICE! I dont find myself compelled to write many reviews; however, it was the least I could do for such remarkable service. The ac went out last night in the house we purchased two weeks earlier. I Goggled local ac repair 23456 companies and Hometown Heating and Cooling had the most positive reviews. I called and asked for a service call. David showed up, on time, quickly determined my issue and explained the problem in terms I could understand. He repaired it in no time at a reasonable price. He did not try to sell me extra parts or fool me with unnecessary extra repairs. Hes honest, and reliable. What more could you ask for? I strongly recommend Hometown Heating and Cooling above all others!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!Came home Tuesday, May 29th at 2pm to find the house 76 degrees when the thermostat was set for 70. Found A/C unit outside not running. Called Dave since we used him before with our gas furnace. Even though he had a full afternoon schedule, he squeezed us in at the end of his already busy day. Diagnosed our issue..yup, the old A/C unit passed on to the junk yard in the sky. Even though this hit us at a bad time (when is it ever a good time to lose your A/C unit?) Dave quoted us a GREAT price on a new unit at a significant savings over the other guys. I called him on Wednesday afternoon to authorize him to replace it. Thursday was a Rain day all day but he was over Friday morning and had it installed, charged up and filling our house with sweet Cool air in no time. You never know how much you miss that cool air till its hot out and your A/C is down!! THANK YOU DAVE, we will never use anyone else!! GREAT SERVICE during our time of need!!! GREAT COMPANY!!! Customers for Life!!
These guys are amazing. Last night my air conditioning stopped blowing cold air, it got up to the 90s upstairs during the night. This morning I googled air conditioning repair in Va Beach and found Hometown Heating and Air. I told the guy over the phone what was going on and he sounded like he new exactly what my problem was. More importantly he was able to squeeze me in today. He showed up within 15 min of when he said hed be here, looked and acted very professionally and got right to work. He already had the exact part I needed in his bag based on our conversation hours earlier. He swapped out the blown capacitor, topped off my freon, put up with my yapping dogs and left in under 30 minutes.Heres the best part: I dont know anything about HVAC. I didnt research or shop around. I was desperate for the repair and was a perfect candidate for getting ripped off. The final price was HALF of what I was expecting to pay. After he left I looked up what the big local guys charge for freon and the few that advertise their price were 3X what I was charged. I will gladly recommend Hometown Heating and Air to everyone.
We came back from vacation to a HOT house with a broken AC. I called Hometown Heating and Cooling at 8pm and the next morning at 8:30am they were here! Not only were they professional, they did not overcharge me for a solution. My AC is still kickin from 1989 and he didnt try and sell me a new one. He got me the right part so I could survive through this heat wave. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
My mothers AC went out and she called and they were there within 1.5 hours. A previous HVAC Co. said she needed a new unit (it was 13 years old) between 5K and 20K!! Hometown came out and fixed it for under $300 and they were so pleasant and knowledgeable. My entire family (which is extensive) will ONLY use this company from now on. A+ all the way around.
My AC went out, I called Hometown the following morning. They were able to schedule an apt for that afternoon. The reps showed up early, were extremely professional and polite. Determined quickly that my freon was low. They filled it at cost which was great. I spoke with them about options repairing vs replacing. They made it a point to say it isnt always the smartest option to replace a system. They did not try to sell me a new system which was great. Another thing that truly separates Hometown from many other heating and cooling companies in Hampton Roads is the fact that they are much more open about cost.I asked a lot of questions regarding a new system and they were able to break down my system and if i wanted to replace it wha the cost was as well as reason for selecting SEER level against age of house, as well as the cost break.Overall, I was extremely impressed.
I wont use anyone else for my HVAC needs. They know their stuff and they are honest. I have dealt with them twice and I have felt that they were upfront, and gave me all of my options. I am very lucky to have found these guys.
Our AC wasnt working and I called to find out how much it would be for someone to come out and take a look at my AC - they were 40 dollars cheaper then the first place I called - and they could give me an EXACT time when they were going to be at my home. They showed up when they said they would and took a look at my AC in the pouring rain - they identified the problem (which turned out not to be the AC) and explained everything to me that I needed to know to have the problem fixed. Extremely professional and loved the quick response time, if we have any heating or cooling problems in the future I am ALWAYS going to call these guys and recommend them to everyone else.
I feel so fortunate to have found Hometown Heating & Cooling. My a/c needed freon due to a leak & David fixed it the same day I called. I had originally gotten a quote for the freon and leak repair which was almost triple what I finally paid HHC. He was just here today to do an additional repair--at 6:30 am so he could fit me in before his big job of the day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Completely professional & just a really nice guy.
SO relieved to have found this company. Our repairs cost $1100 LESS than what we were quoted by other flashy, well advertised companies. Call them - you wont regret it!!
Would give 10 stars if I could. AC stopped working last night & after an uncomfortable night w/ 3 boys, a dog & a cat, called several larger, more familiar companies this morning, all of who could not come until 1 or 2 days later. Kept searching & saw Hometown H&C, and all the great reviews. David (the owner) answered, asked some questions, got my address & let me know he had another job close by, so hed be here in about an hour. His diagnostic fee was lower than all other quotes, he found the problem & fixed it in less than 15 minutes total. The total bill was WAY lower than I expected. Cant recommend him & his company enough. So thankful he was able to help us so quickly. Well never use anyone else for our HVAC needs. Thank you David & Hometown Heating & Cooling!
Outstanding service. Prompt, courteous, and informative. Will definitely call them again if we ever have issues again, and will recommend to colleagues and friends. Very happy to have my a/c working better than ever.
Our AC stopped working late Thursday night. We called Hometown Heating and Cooling based on the existing Google reviews. They answered the call despite the late hour, and came over to assess the situation first thing the next morning.Very professional demeanor, respectful of home, and kind to pets. :) Explained what was going on with the unit, and gave several options for a solution that varied in cost and effort. It was very clear that Hometown Heating and Cooling was not trying to take advantage of us, which is SO IMPORTANT (not to mention impressive), especially when youre AC is out and its a billion degrees outside. The assessment fee was small, and returned in two business days to make the fix we decided on (replacing the entire unit). They were on time, quick to complete the repair, and maintained a high level of professionalism throughout the appointment. We are completely satisfied, and will use Hometown Heating and Cooling for all our future heating and cooling needs.
My son woke me last night at 1:30 saying water was leaking into his room. I knew it was from the AC which is located in the attic right above his room. I called my normal home warranty company and they informed me that they could do a service request but they couldnt guarantee if the work could be done but I would have to pay the service fee to the contractor regardless. I went ahead and arranged the service but I know I would look for something different when I got up. I Googled AC repair in my area and after reading a few reviews from different companies I decided to call HOMETOWN HEATING AND COOLING...........that was the best decision I could have ever made. He stated that he was really busy (understandable weve been having an extreme heatwave) but would fit me into his schedule between 9-12. He arrived at 10:30 and he and his partner cleaned the drain and was done within 10 mins. It took them longer to get in the attic than it did to fix the problem. They explained everything they were doing and even showed me how to prevent it from happening again or how to do it myself if it did happen again. In the end I only had to pay $59 which is actually cheaper than my home warranty service fee and the AC is fixed.THANKS HOMETOWN HEATING AND COOLING!!! Hopefully I wont need you again but if so I wont hesitate to call you again.
Excellent service. They are often very busy, since they seem to be the one honest business in Virginia Beach. I have called multiple other HVAC companies, and Hometown was pretty much the only one to give fair quote. Everyone else is banking on advertising and hoping that buyers do not research the cost of services.
I have rental properties in Virginia Beach and use a Home Warranty company to service them for the most part. When the Warranty company couldnt fix the AC issue my tenants were experiencing after 2 months I gave up and called someone outside the company. The reviews for Hometown Heating and Cooling were great, so I called them. Dave was not only able to get me a same-day appointment, he showed up early, and kept me informed every step of the way on the process and was able to get the AC up and running immediately for my tenants! I cannot tell you how grateful I am for his honest service, quick response, updates, and my overall experience. I am overly satisfied with my experience. Thank you Dave!
Hometown heating and cooling / David is the only company I trust to do work on my HVAC . We have been using him for years. I refuse to use any other company. He truly is a genuine guy who does not rip you off and goes out of his way to do what he can to fix the problem. If could I would give him 10 stars. Thats how amazing this guy is and his company.
What a joke! Hometown appears first when you google, so I checked into it. 6 minute YouTube Video, low prices, customer service, good reviews, okay Ill try it. Guess what...no show no call! My husband spoke with someone and confirmed twice that someone would be here between 11 and 12. I called at 12:30, left a message. Called again, and again, and again. My husband also called. No response. I tried to be polite and waited until 2pm. I think all of the reviews on your site are bogus. If I left you waiting for 3 hours or never showed I guarantee I would get a bill for your time, well my time is equally as important. Your rambling about your 1 bad review because of a no show is more like the norm. I would not use your services nor would I recommend you to anyone. You can brag about your prices all day but if youre rude and disrespectful and dont have the courtesy to call, then I dont have the time of day for you.
If I could give 10 stars I would!! I dont even know where to begin. Dave is THE BEST. I actually found him by accident last year googling for prices on a capacitor for my a/c. When I saw his website and how honest he was with everything, I knew I had to call him. Since this was last year I cant remember if he squeezed me in the day I called or the next day, but I do remember him not only being ON TIME but being early. I have since seen him MANY times in the last year due to a freon leak, this part, that part and I KNOW he has not screwed me on charges because Ive asked friends who are HVAC people that live in other parts of the country and they tell me I got charged at least HALF of what their company would charge! I know any other company would have just told me the entire unit (its a heat pump) would need to be replaced but instead, Dave did what needed to be done and didnt try to sell me on anything more! I try to support small local businesses as much as possible and veer away from the highly advertised we do it all companies, which was another reason I called Dave. So, ignore the few bad reviews. Dave is the owner, he has TWO other guys that work with him (and mainly for installs…I only know this because I asked him the other day when he was here) He works quickly, works hard and gets the job done without ripping people off!! WELL WORTH waiting a day or two (or even more for that matter!) for him to come take a look at my equipment!
Its Christmas Eve 2013, 3:30 am and my heat pump air handler fan quit. I waited until 7:00 am and called a competitor and left a message. No one returned my call. At 7:30 am, I called Hometown and spoke with the owner. David said he could be here in about an hour. He arrived in 45 minutes and quickly discovered the problem. In less than 30 minutes my system was running fine. The next time I have any problem with an HVAC unit, Im calling Hometown Heating and Cooling. I really like the way the company treats its customers.
Great service as usual. Woke up to a freezing cold house and placed a call to David. He was at my house in 1 hour and had the problem fixed. No charge since everything is under warranty.
Dave refuses to respond to me. He did spring and fall HVAC service checks on a home my husband and I own and rent out. He started ignoring requests from our rental agency and tenants trying to schedule appointments. Dave finally le my husband know that we owed him for the last service he performed. We had prepaid him and didnt know there was an outstanding balance as we were never notified nor given an invoice. Nothing. We were living in Florida at the time (military). As soon as we knew, my husband contacted him and told him we would be mailing him a check for the past due, and the amount to take care of the next fall HVAC check. Since my husband is now on deployment, I was trying to contact Dave with zero response. I mailed a check for the 2 amounts, including a letter with all contact info for myself, the tenants, and the rental agency asking that he please contact me when he has the appt scheduled for the fall check. Check was cashed on Oct 29. My husband had to contact him from the boat he was on to get an answer that Dave had knee surgery and would be out to the home possibly the next week. I just heard from my rental agency that he never did the fall check and of course, once again, refuses to answer me when Im trying to contact him. So, Dave has my money for a job he never did and he wont respond to me. Nice job taking care of our military while deployed!! Avoid this company. Work may be good, but good luck getting a hold of them. Especially when they have your money.
I do not know if they are still open. Left a message and nobody returns my call. Used them in the past and they where top notch. I will update if I find out if they are closed or just really busy.
Classic bait and switch. Call professionals instead.
I called them around 1030 because our A/C pipes had frozen, and a couple hours later a tech had arrived. He was courteous and professional and got the job done quickly without any unnecessary small talk. I will definitely use them again in the future.
Highly recommend! Called on a Friday at 2:00 p.m. with a outside temperature over 95 degrees and our AC unit not working. Call Hometown Heating and Cooling and described my problem, David and his partner were at my place an hour and a half later ready to address the issue. They were able to fix the problem and have our AC unit running in about 15 minutes. Very fair, honest and professional. Recommend to anybody have AC problems.
Great customer service! Professional and friendly, here on time and fixed out heating issue in no time. This is the company to with!
Called on a Tuesday to have the guys come out on a Thursday to check my AC, because it stopped blowing cold air. Dave arrived right on time and within minutes knew it was my fan that was bad, and everything else was good. Seeing how I have 2 young kids, he immediately took the fan back to the shop to remove it from an old school bracket correctly, replaced the motor, came back to my house and it installed it. All within two hours. He even filled a 1lb of freon at no charge and the house was cool within an hour! Price was VERY reasonable and I will absolutely be recommending you guys to friends, and maintaining/fixing/replacing my AC unit in the future! Thanks again Dave and HeatCool911!!
Called at 7:30 on Sunday morning on the hottest day of the year. David was here in 30 minutes with the part we needed to fix our a/c!! He had us up and running in 10 minutes and saved our day!!!The price was 1/2 of what was expected. We will recommend him for sure and we will call him with any future problems!!Thank You!!! Thank You!!! Thank You!!!
Excellent, prompt service, very fair price! Courteous and professional.
Great experience, had an issue with our A/C unit when the big 3 Hampton Roads HVAC companies said they could get to me in 2-3 weeks Hometown got to me in 2-3 hours. Showed up on time and were extremely courteous and respectful. They inspected the whole unit and diagnosed the issue, and got it up and running with a plan to return to ensure there are no further issues. Its a shame that they were not my first phone call but they will be my last. And best of all they did not try to up sell me anything didnt even mention their maintenance program which is unfortunate because i intended to inquire but forgot. The other 3 companies I called..... You know the ones with the radio ads tried selling me their maintenance contracts even before they told me they could not provide a service for weeks.
Fast service! Excellent job and not overpriced like other companies out there. Same day service!
I called Dave at 7:30 am and explained that the fan to my furnace turns on but the flame wouldnt turn on. After a two minute conversation he believed that the ignitor was no longer functioning. He said he could be at my house between 9-11 that same morning. I messaged him my address and he sent me a message when he was on his way. He arrived at 9:10 and took off his shoes as I showed him where the furnace was. He took off the faceplate to he furnace and did a diagnostic to confirm his original assessment. He verified it was the ignitor and replaced it within 15 minutes. He handed me the original ignitor and explained to me that they typically last 8-10 years in this region. Between the fast response time, the affordable rate and the customer service, this business get my two thumbs up. I will refer anyone to this business.
Our A/C went out after a storm. Called Hometown first thing in the morning and was told he could be over about 2 hours after I called. About 10 minutes later I got a call from them saying that I was on their way to another appointment so he could swing by. Before I knew it he was here and had the faulty capacitor swapped out and topped off the freon. Awesome customer service. I will be saving their number just in case I need something in the future.
When our air conditioners compressor shorted in the beginning of the summer, we had a very difficult time finding anyone who could make an emergency call for us and come out right away. We did have one company come out who told us to replace the entire HVAC system (eek!).David made it to our house within half an hour of reaching him and let us know we only needed to replace the outdoor unit. He was very knowledgable and explained the whole process to us. We were very confident in the work he was providing and pleased with the quote.A few months later (the AC running almost non-stop), we realized the air flow around the house was just too weak. He came by to try to help by cleaning out the valves and recommended we change our air filter. Again, he educated us on the system and what to look for. The next morning, when I noticed the same problem still occurring, he quickly scheduled us for a replacement. He and his assistant always show up on time, if not early. They are quick and courteous... didnt even mind our dogs going up to say hi to them!We mostly appreciate gaining a better understanding of the work being done and how we can maintain the quality. Our review is accompanied by the fact that we will continue to use Davids services! It is hard to find trustworthy & knowledgable help with home maintenance... we are thankful to have found Hometown Heating & Cooling.-Samantha & Bryce
Called Hometown Heating and Air Conditioning about problems with a 20+ year old heat pump system. Contacted them first thing in the morning and they were on site very quickly. Loved the fact that they repaired the system vice trying to sell me a new system. I was not taken to the cleaners for the repair bill. Unfortunately it looks like the old system is about to give up the ghost and will have to be replaced. I was presented with a couple of options from replacing the defective condenser to replacing the whole system. Doing my homework on this to determine the best course of action for my problem. Will consider Hometown Heating and Air Conditioning in my final decision.UPDATE: I had Hometown come out and replace my whole system. They were there on time. The system was replaced in about 4 hours. When the old system was installed, it took a major HVAC company in Norfolk several days to install. When they were finished, you could not tell that a major system was replaced within the house. The only way that one could tell that they had been in the house was the fact that nice cold air was blowing out of the vents. The old system was removed and every piece of trash was picked up and removed down to the smallest piece of fiberglass insulation. The replacement unit was nice and quite when running. Will consider Hometown for all my HVAC needs!UPDATE 2. While Hometown did excellent work on my HVAC install in my rental property, I had no idea a week later I would be calling on their service again. This time for my home. The 20 year old system had a problem with the evaporator core and condensate drain. The connection for the condensate discharge was completely rusted through and has been for a while as the emergency drip pan under he air handler had completely rusted through so I now have some crazy artwork on my ceiling from the leak. Hometown came bright and early to complete the install. Once again another fine job by Hometown!
I just wish I lived in the area where Hometown Heating and Cooling services operates. After watching Davids video about how A/C repair companies are ripping off their clients, I concluded that I, too, was ripped off today! My outside a/c unit quit working yesterday and called company X (I dont want to mention its name) for service. A nice tech guy came this morning and fixed it within 45 min.I WAS CHARGED:- $152 for a contactor (Installed)- $169 for a 50/7.5 Turbo200 Capacitor from Amrad Engineering (Installed)Total charged: $321I know I was overcharged for the parts, but I felt not too bad because the charges included the labor (installation). I am sure that if I lived near Davids company, I would probably have saved 50 or more dollars.David if everyone was like you when it came to honesty and fairness this world would be a better place. Thanks for you web site. I learned a lot from it. Good tidings.
I used this company last year for a service call with excellent results so decided to give them a call this season when I had an issue with another unit.Dave (the owner) serviced my unit personally. He was on time, professional and explained my problem. He even showed me the gauge connected to the unit and explained the level of freon necessary for my unit to operate at peak performance.I will continue to use this company for my future HVAC needs.Their prices are great and you will feel that you werent taken advantage of like many other local HVAC companies. Thanks again for such great service.
Used several times in past for our house and a friends house. Was very good.
* Edit * - Used Hometown again -(3/9/2017) Weve used Dave for a couple of years for service on our HVAC system at our beach house. This year, it was time to replace one of the original A/C systems that dated back to 2001. I had previously talked to Dave about performing the job. I texted him on a Saturday AM, and he responded immediately that he would swing by that weekend to survey the job and issue a quote. Upon doing that, he committed to performing the job that following week, even with us out of town. I mailed a check for the project. Dave and crew showed up, completed the job to perfection, and locked up the house upon leaving. We will only use Hometown in the future. Daves prices are always fair and reasonable.------------(July) After arriving late in the evening at our beach house, we discover that the downstairs A/C unit was blowing warm air. Since we purchased the house last year, we had no history on the systems. The fan on the outside unit wasnt turning, but the compressor was running. I shut it down, and next morning at 7 AM, I called Dave, based on his reviews here on Google+. He scheduled an appt. for the same day, called 10 minutes out to let me know he was on his way in the time slot he committed to, and fixed the problem in about 15 minutes. (Capacitor, low freon). Pricing, fantastic. Customer Service, fantastic. Speed, fantastic. Dave has a customer for life. Nice work!(August) Additional Follow-up - Again, arriving at the beach house late this past Friday evening, noticed the same A/C was blowing warm air. After inspecting the outside unit, discovered that the shaft on the fan motor had rusted through, and the fan blades snapped off. Called Hometown and left a message on their machine. Talked to Dave the next morning on Saturday. He stopped by the house - same day, and indicated that he would need to order parts on Monday. On Monday, Dave called back and said parts were available, and that he would be by in the afternoon to replace the motor and fan assembly. We were away from home at that point, so he had us leave the thermo on Cool. He arrived in the afternoon, replaced the parts, and checked the operation of the unit. He called and followed up with us and took credit card info for payment. Great price, great customer service!! No fuss, no muss. The unit is 10 years old and will need replacement before next summer. We will use Hometown Heating and Cooling for this. Thanks Again!!
Big thank you! AC went out last night. I called Hometown Heating and Air on the way home from Sandbridge beach today. They beat me home and had me up and running before I arrived. Cant ask for anything more than that!!!!
The dude was here in 15 minutes. Awesome service!
