I agree with the other people here. There charge what they want and if you ask they kick you out. Angie just snatched my card from my hand and said bye bye get out didnt even let me grab my phone and it was a bad experience for my mom and daughter never again

Normally I pay $35 for a mani/pedi. Today I only did a mani and was charged $32. They charge what they want and depending on who you are! Time to find a new place!

I went to the salon with my mother and it was the most unprofessional experience Ive had at a salon. We came in and asked about a deluxe package with a manicure and pedicure with gel due to the longevity of the polish. They had us pick a color.Their price lists 42 for their deluxe mani/pedi package. The booklet I had scribbled out the price as 52. When we inquired if this was the price for gel we were informed it was not, that for that package it is 65 and then after talking to their friends the price changed to 70 and then 75. I found this weird but I wondered if it was a COVID pricing change or whatever. Ive never seen more than a 5 dollar difference for gel but I brushed it off even though it left us with an uneasy feeling.They started everything which was fine, not great, but it was when we got the manicure when things really solidified my feeling about the experience.If you have ever gotten a gel polish, you know they add a UV light in between coats to harden the polish. They did not do that, despite using the gel polish I had chosen.I went to sit down at the UV light as part of the process, but they ushered me to the backroom to get my eyebrows done. They completed that and then ushered me out. I asked if my nails would be okay and they insisted it was fine. My mom paid and was confused by the whole thing.My mom and I went to the car when she saw her nails were already dented. She went in and asked them to repair it since gel nails are usually pretty durable. The technician gave her attitude about it before applying the polish and ushering her out.The next day both of our nails are chipping. Gel polish is also known as no chip. My mom goes in and asks if they can fix it since they are chipping. She claims she cant do anything because it is regular nail polish. Of course, at this point we had already paid for what was supposed to be a gel manicure and pedicure.My mother asked about the price discrepancy and the tech said the difference was for the price of polish. Just to add polish. Manicures and pedicures include polish. This response doesnt make sense.So at this point, we had paid for services not rendered and the woman gets increasingly more combative. My mother asks for a refund for the difference since we did not recieve gel or to actually recieve the gel we paid for. She refuses and essentially tells us to pay more.Long story short, they are dishonest, rude and I do NOT reccommend.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. First time having a relaxing and not painful manicure. Manager Li is super nice I definitely recommend this salon. 😘💅

They are doing not bad job, but you need to take day off to be served. Within an hour since scheduled appointment time i was just asked if I picked up color. 2 walk in were taken while I patiently was waiting just because they knew them. After I stood up and was leaving nobody even asked me why or tried to fix situation.

Not professional at all. Save your money, don’t come here.

Ive been going to First Spa Nail Salon, since I moved to Chicago in 2010. Ive tried other nail salons and the others do no compare! All of the staff are friendly, fast and whatever I have done whether it be gel nails, no chip or a pedicure, its always fabulous! The owner is extremely nice and their pricing is the same as everyone elses. I would even pay a little more to come here, because the service is that great!

Appointment was for 10:15 and 10:45 came around and they still hadn’t called me back for my appointment . Ended up walking out . No professional. NOT ALOT OF COLOR SELECTIONS . NO NEON!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive been going to First Spa Nail salon for years now after searching for a top rate salon in Vernon Hills. The customer service is beyond excellent. The owner is an honest businesswoman who goes out of her way to please you. All of the technicians have worked there for years and do an excellent job. I highly recommend this salon.

I have been going to 1st Spa Nails since they opened their doors. I love the way they do my acrylic nails and have never had any issues when getting a pedicure. Lily is the best and very sweet. I have tried other nail salons since I moved an hour away but cant find anyone who does a better job. Lynn the owner is a great lady and cares about her customers.

It was awful experience! I did not get a chance to try different color before I could decide even after I asked. They were pretty rude. They dont do another layer of top coating after completing nail color. Attitude is terrible and no patience to explain. Worst nail place Ive ever been!

Ive been coming here to get pedicures with my family and I have never had an major issues. When it comes to nails I believe a lot of people are beyond picky, but rightfully so as prices are high at any salon. The interior is very posh and they always have 5+ staff members ready to take on their next customer.

Do not go here. I got my eyebrows waxed and the lady didnt cool the wax down, allowing it to burn my skin. She also didnt pat it down, therefore my skin ripped off. When she plucked them, she grabbed my skin with the hair every time. Also, the ending look wasnt even good, she left hair that made it look as if I didnt even get them done. I do not recommend.

Stay away from the main lady that sits in the front if you are getting Acrylics or getting a fill. She grinds them down to the point of going through the nail. She did it about 5 times to me in the process of one fill. Im almost positive my nails are paper thin.

~Lynn said Dont come back!~I used to go all the time last year to get regular manicures. I went there to go get a no-chip pedicure, which should last around 2 weeks. I began to chip within 2 days so I went back to get them fixed and she Lynn continue to say our no chip is not cheap. I had never mentioned it was cheap I just said how Ive been getting no-chip in another salon and it would stay on for 2+ weeks. Once I got them fixed my nails began to chip and the no-chip polish kept chipping. So I went back today to ask for my money and she told me Dont come back!

Never one to publicly post negatively but i went in and paid for Gel nails tipped the lady well and she ended up giving me acrylics. Then went in politely to let them know i didnt want to complain or any type of refund just wanted to bring it to there attention that they arent giving their costumers what they pay for.. she said no one recognized me. Didnt apologize and sent me on my way.

Our favorite place so far, everyone is so nice and its very clean.

This place doesnt even deserve one star! The nail technicians are the rudest people I have ever come across and the service is the absolute worst ever! I got a pedicure and she infected both of my big toes. Please dont go here, it will be a waste of time and money for you.

Absolutely horrible service. I went in for my friends first time getting acrylics and it was horrible. Not only was I rushed for picking a color but was charged extra for wanting coffin shaped nails when Ive been to multiple nail places and have never been charged extra for a nail shape. The lady rudely was talking in a different language to another employee about how I wanted to get the coffin shape. The whole entire time she kept complaining about how much work she was going to put in for the shape I wanted. First and last time going there and wouldnt reccommend it to anyone.

From the minute I walked in the door I felt rushed. Today is Sunday my one day of leasure, and they are not busy. The woman said to me pick your color I hadnt even made it around the corner to see the colors as she is saying pick your color, pick your color. I walked back to the pedi chair, was taking my coat off, the second girl was ready and telling me to sit down. I was asking about a hook to hang my purse on she just kept saying sit down RUSHED. Then my feet didnt even get to soak in the water for 2 minuets. I wasnt even sotuated in the chair comfortably and this woman is trying to get me to put my foot up, hell both of my feet havent even hit the water yet. She barely removed the rough skin on my feet, then she just wiped my legs with a warm towel, never wrapped my feet or even gave me a second to enjoy the warmth of the towel. Now come on, come on rush up to the medi station where she barely shaped my nails and when it came to the hand and forearm massage she never made it past my wrist. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST SALON EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. I WILL NOT BE BACK AND WOULD RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT VISIT HERE. I actually feel like I still need a pedi/mani!!!! Beyond disappointing.
