I am in love with Kim’s nails!!! I move to the area about 2 years ago and was looking for a good nail place. I went to 4 other salons and was not happy because of the quality of work, how riff they were on my nails and just lack of customer service. So I searched and came across Kim’s. Emily was amazing, she talked and laughed with me, listen to what I needed, and was honest. I have found my forever nail salon. Thank you Emily!!! They are open every day go and experience what I did!

The lady who was supposed to do my nails was simply rude. She did the job but rolled her eyes after every needed conversations. I hear great reviews about their friendly nature & professional service, but I am sorry that I didn’t feel welcomed at all.Not sure how come it has so many good reviews. I took my daughter too and regret giving my money to them . It was my first & last time.

I made an appointment and went in and showed them a picture of what I wanted done and they said they would do it how the picture was. They did not do what was in the picture and looks completely different than what I showed them. I was really upset but I struggle with confidence to say something. needless to say I cried and spent so much money on nails that did not look the way I wanted them to be. they had the picture up the whole time so its not like they didnt know what it looked like.

She was so wonderful, funny, and kind it felt like Ive known her for years. And she did such a wonderful job to make sure my feet were being taken well cared of. I would definitely be going back!!!

Went for a deluxe pedicure. It was the best pedicure I have ever had! Water was the perfect temperature which is a must for me!! They made sure that comfortable and satisfied throughout the entire pedicure. I will definitely be back for another!

The worst experience I’ve ever had. The nail technicians not even trying to do the best job for you. They just rush into finishing the service. Each of my nail is shaped differently and not neatly at all. The owner of the place was super rude while taking to me. I had the specific design I wanted. She said she’ll try, but honestly, she wasn’t putting any effort in it. She was being rude by saying stuff like “you don’t even know what you want. Decide first, then come here. We’re gonna sit here all night” I was nicely asking her to try again because I want the specific thing. She did try but after 10,000 complains before that. Then she saw my disappointment, realized I’m not about to give her any tips, so she started being nice right away and offering me to add sparkles. And I was like whatever cause I already was disappointed in the service.Never coming here again!

I’ve been going to Kim’s for waxing & nails for years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Kim does my eyebrows exactly how I ask and makes sure I am happy with the results. The staff are all competent and kind— the atmosphere is incredibly warm and I bring friends there all the time. Pedicures are amazing and prices for everything are very reasonable. The polish and color selection is huge and great quality. 10/10 recommend.

These guys make you feel at home and they are so humble and attentive. Youll be in and out quick but they also take their time. There quality and prices always have me going back. I heard about them through my sister and Im grateful she told me about them!!

Every month I go to Kims nails to get a pedicure. Its a great welcoming place, so affordable and the quality of work is excellent. I always look forward in getting my nails done especially when Emily does my nails. I like that she is upfront and honest about cost when you chose certain nail polish brands, for instance some colors are worth more because they stay on longer. Emily even goes beyond and adds a special touch of work on my nails. If you want to go to a nail salon with great customer service, value and a job well done, go to Kims nails!

My girls always enjoy getting their manicure at Kims. They love the kids sized chairs. The whole process for the kids is very fast. I wish they would slow down a bit so the girls can enjoy the process

We love Kims Nails! She is always so nice and friendly! We have had to wait sometimes, but it usually isnt for long. They always have great service. The color selections for nail polish is unlimited. If they feel a color will not work for you, they tell ya. I have never had an issue with cracking or chipping either, work is spot on!

Kim and her staff were very nice. When my card didnt work to pay(I hadnt set up a pin number) they graciously allowed me to step out and make the necessary adjustments to my card without making a fuse at all. My pedicure was fabulous and I will be going back before I head home to Atlanta.

Initially came here because I had a gift certificate. Didnt really care for the type of back massager in the seat. Foot and hand massage was good. Feet didnt feel pain & stress anymore. Leg massage was a little too hard; leg was hurting a little still when I got home. Lady also told me ( without saying the actual words) that she didnt like my color choice in nail polish; like I made a bad choice. 👎 The color I choose is the color I like that suits me. Overall, was an ok place.

Ive been going to Kim Nails for several years. I do prefer Kim herself, but no one leaves there without a fantastic manicure. Also, for being in the north suburbs, they are not judgmental . I have friends who wont get their nails done because they are in such bad shape that they are embarrassed. No worries at Kims. She just fixes everything. Ive come to rely on Kim because I always feel better when I leave. Pampered.

Came here since Google had a ton of good reviews. I made a noon appointment about a week ahead for both my friend and I, since we were going on our lunch break from work. When we arrived, they started on her right away however, they didnt start me for 20 min later! You can imagine, this caused us to be VERY tight on time. I did say something to them when it was at the 10 min late mark, and they ignored me. I brought it up again, and they just said: someone will help you soon. Anyways, my friend had was cut 2x by the girl filing her nails and she stated the women was extremely rough with her. I had a man do my nails, and he was very rude and short with me. It was as though we inconvenienced his day by being there. At the end, I left a nice tip, and he gave me my card. Never said bye thanks nothing... So, I said have a great day! and he never even looked at me. Overall, there was no customer service and the staff was just plain rude.Additionally, the place was VERY cluttered and dirty. This was our first and last time at this salon!

My mom and I often go to this location and were generally happy about everything, but this past week the service was SO SO BAD and disrespectful. The owner was talking loudly on the phone all the time my mom had been there. My mom was the only customer that day and there were two ladies available. One of them took her but was talking to another Vietnamese lady in her language and giggled while looking at my mom all throughout her appointment. My mom felt like they were talking about her, and this was so disrespectful. At the end the lady usually does hand massage, but this time when she saw another customer at the door, she didnt do it and was like, you can go now! My mom was very upset with her appointment this time around..

Emily does a great job!! She takes her time and makes sure that you are happy. Shes very thoughtful and mindful of how she goes about her work. Shes the best I would highly recommend her and the salon!

DO NOT get acrylic nails done here!!!! They use the BANNED and dangerous MMA nail adhesive, not the safer EMA adhesive. When acrylics were taken off after an acetone soak, it was a sticky, gummy residue (a clear sign of MMA). It is suppose to easily flake off after soak!!! No drill!!! DO YOUR RESEARCH! MMA vs EMA! Stay woke! Stay safe!

I decided to go to Kim Nails to get my toes done. I thought it would be odd for a man to go in to a nail salon. I was a bit embarrassed walking in because, I saw mostly females. The nail technician that worked with me was kind and thoughtful. They did a very nice job! Besides doing a good job from my perspective the shop was very sanitary and clean. They clean everything really nice in my opinion.

Well I went here because there were good reviews. This was my third and last time. I experienced unfriendly technicians and condescending language I think it has to do with how much money you are spending. I just got a $10 toe nail clip. Heavens!!! Will never ever go back. When the attendant caused a skin piercing she looked at me and said, do you want to continue. I do not know why people go to these places. Maybe if you spend more money they act nicer. Bad energy in this place.

I love Kim and her staff! I have been going on and off for several years (moving with her) but recently visiting them often. I had destroyed a toenail and was losing most of it (yucky- I know). They politely offered me advice for proactive care. When I had to go to a charity event and made the awful decision to wear an open toed shoe, they fixed it up to look wonderful! I couldnt believe how nice it looked! It healed great too. Their location is convenient and there are TVs to watch too, if you are not in a conversational mood. However, the staff is very friendly and Kim does run a well oiled machine!

Just dont go there. After being a loyal customer in her spa for many years her behavior towards me is unforgettable. Kim was very nasty to me. She made fun of me in front of other customers. Last week I came to her store and ask her how long I need to wait - she said 20 minutes. I waited 50 minutes and she charged me $5 only for taking my nail polish off.

Great experience, my pedicurist gave suggestions for color bc my old paint job stained my nails. I love it when the technicians are thoughtful and give insight and consultations while working with you. They were professional and personable. I think any bad reviews were just bad timing, perhaps some1 was having a bad day? Everyone does. I rate on professionalism, quality of service, pricing, and atmosphere (which includes decor and environment; theyre space was well kept for the locale).

UPDATE! Owner didnt like my review about a bad experience. She doesnt want my money. Told me to change my review and when I said no she said I could go someplace else.Im a regular customer. I called on Monday before Thanksgiving to make an appointment, the owner said just come in because I dont know when hell be here. Ive always made appointments in the past to ensure I could get in since this is not close to my home or work. I asked her if the tech I normally see had a schedule and she said no just come in. I walked in the door 20 min after they open and cant be taken because he already has appointments. Ive always been very happy with my tech there but the owner seems useless as the most Ive ever seen her do is remove polish. As much as I like my tech I think its time to find a place where the owner actually cares about my buisness.

Its Fathers day, and I wanted to do something out of the ordinary with my dad:Taking him to a nails shop to get pampered. It must be said that my dad isthe type of persons for whom nails and beauty salons are a womens thing.So, after spending over an hour trying to convince him,my dad reluctantly agreed to come along.Reading the reviews on different salons I decided to take my dad to Kims Nails and Spa, hoping that things will be ok. We got to the salon and were greeted warmly by Kim. She told me what I did was really special since she has never had any dad treated this way on Fathers day before. So, she recommended the deluxe pedi for my dad.At first my dad was super stiff ( if not uncomfortable) since he has never had this done on him his entire life. But after a few minutes he start to feel more relaxed. Sitting across from him I could tell he was beginning to enjoy the experience.Long story short, my dad told me afterward that it wasnt bad after all. He enjoyed the service and said that he may ask me to take him out again once in a while. This means a lot to me, and Kims Nails and SPA made my day.

Kims Nail and Spa is a great place to get a Manicure/Pedicure. They are friendly and have great personalities. Everyone is very professional does a great job. If there is something you do or do not like when you are getting your mani/pedi just say so and they will fix it on the spot. You can not find anything better for the quality of service, price.They make atmosphere very relaxing while you are there.

My family and I have been going here for years and they know most of us by name. Friendly but the bad part is if you happen to go else where due to convinence and come back here for a fill they say rude and mean things about someone else’s work like they are the best in the world. -1. First time going there I asked for fill. Kim said it would be 40. I said no I want acrylic not gel. She continued to keep asking me how I think the acrylic process went because she wanted to convince me to get gel. Then when I asked for French tip on my acrylics, she air brushed them on. None of them knew how to paint it on with polish. I disliked the air brush very much as it did not cover the entire tip. When I nicely shared my displeasure she insulted me by telling me that I expect perfect. And when I asked for a basic toe nail polish, the bald guy kept repeating that he wants it all perfect for me as if making fun at the fact that I told the previous nail tech (Kim) that I didnt like the air brush. Needless to say I will never EVER go again. they DEFINITELY do not take criticism well. Rude rude rude!!! Go to pro nails and spa in Libertyville! Very down to earth people
