I went to River Nails for the first time today, and chose them due to their hours, availability, and partially due to location. I recently moved to Casas Adobes area and am looking for a new nail place—I was satisfied! I called ahead about 90 minutes to make sure there was availability, and there was. When I came in there were three employees and just two other customers receiving pedis. I was served right away (even though I was a little early). While the cuticle work was less than gentle, I was very happy with the color. I had read in former reviews about some less than gentle work so I was mentally prepared! I keep my nails very short because violin is a hobby of mine, so it worked fine and my cuticles are awful anyways. There was plexiglass between customers and employees which was very nice, and the chairs were more comfortable than many places I’ve been as well. The individual running the schedule and greeting was very welcoming and brought water bottles around which was pleasant. My total was $30 w/o gratuity. They do clarify they prefer tipping in cash, but could accommodate my need to leave partial in cash and some on card today. Overall it was not the best gel mani I’ve had and it was definitely not the worst; I might try a few other area places before returning but would certainly consider making in a regular haunt.

I always enjoy going to River Nails! They are the first salon that Ive stuck with when getting my nails done, specifically acrylics and gel, which always looks amazing! On top of amazing nails the customer service is excellent. The owner makes sure everyone leaves satisfied and everyone there is always kind, which makes the experience better. I would recommend to everyone! I also attached my favorite nail designs from here that are amazing!

Had a fantastic experience here last Saturday. I walked in at about 10:45am with a friend. They were unable to accommodate us right then, so we made appointments for noon. When we arrived, they were ready to go.The color selection is vast, and the quality of the pedicure was excellent and included exfoliant scrub, lotion, callus removal and hot stone massage. Don did mine and was not a wimp about the massage, which I appreciated. At just over $28, this is probably the best value pedicure in town, also. I will be back!

First off I Have been to several nails salons in Tucson. I would always ask them to be creative on color and design. I would get told no, where I have to figure the color then get told they cant do the design. So I went on line and started reading reviews for shops in town. I came across the river nails called them and she was able to get me in the same day for appointment. I asked her to be creative and do whatever she wanted for color and design she came up with an awesome color and design the first time and she did my nails the way I want them done. Ive gotten so many compliments on my nails and the design that I will keep going back to get my nails done.They clean and sanitize in between every customer whether youre getting your nails done were getting a pedicure I highly recommend getting your nails done there I gave them five starsCathy just awesomeKira

Cathy is aaamazing with acrylics, the shape and overall outcome is always perfect I do not go anywhere else for them! Her and her husband are super nice and fun to talk to! Pedicures are great and they really take their time with them. I recommend River Nails to anyone who asks me where to go!

First thing I noticed was it was clean, they clean the seating after every customer and you had to wash your hands before getting started. The service was very good, she was nice and she took to her time and put effort into her craft (she didn’t rush like most people do) and my nail shape came out very good! Haven’t had nails this straight and smooth in a long time! Will definitely be returning

Worst experience ever!! They say to call in advance to book ahead if needed, but they will send you to voice mail and not even answer. You walk in with the nastiest attitude when you ask kindly is there any availability. And when they respond with “no long wait” you ask “how long the wait” and their response “long wait”, complete embarrassment and inappropriate response. Not even a time frame or more kinder response to convince the customer to book for later and to even come back. I wouldn’t even dare waste your time to walk in, call or even give them your time to get the most disgusting, disappointing, dissatisfying service for a nail salon. Shame on them for their poor service, that’s not the way to treat customers or just people in general.

Im leaving a review because I was a picky and embarrassed customer and they helped me through in fixing my mistake!I chose a Baby Blue for my 1st nail color......but did not like the way it looked with hands. Again, picky! Im also pretty shy but when I voiced how I felt, the owner quickly asked how she could fix it. She informed me of the charge to take all the color off and start new, so that was helpful( only 10 bucks!). Her, daughter maybe, finished the new color I picked which was Dusty Coral and they came out AMAZING. Thank you for working around my anxiety and helping me feel good about myself!!

Got a basic pedicure was then over charged for it when they didnt even rub my feet just painted them. And they never told me price just charged my card the wrong price. & Refused to do a acrylic fill that day as well. Left Unsatisfied & Disappointed.

Update: my nails began coming off less than a week after getting them done. When I reached out to the business they only offered a discount instead of offering to fix the acrylic nails I spent 60 dollars on. Nails are supposed to last 6-8 weeks with fill-ins upon research.

Cathy is the best !! Shes been doing my eyebrows going on close to 4 years now. She pays attention to detail. My brows are very tricky but she does whats best for them without going in too thin as some areas of my brows are patchy. Shes the best!!

I feel so lucky to have found this hidden gem on the NW side! Kathy is a wonderful woman with a kind heart and is incredibly talented. They do excellent dip manicures with very safe dip and gel removal. My nails have gotten stronger over the past few months I have been coming here. I refuse to go anywhere else! Their color selection is so modern, too. Good quality dip polish. I always feel so pampered and relaxed and enjoy Kathys company and seeing her family.

Never coming back again. I never wrote these reviews but I had to for this place. I asked to take them off because I didn’t like the length and instead of doing that the other lady just gave attitude and started to argue with me on why I didn’t tell her before she cut it. Very unprofessional. And to top it off she knew I didn’t like it and forced me to pay before my service was done. Stay away from this place go to other salons like neat nails or concept nails. The nails came out all different lengths as well.

I would like to share a very poor experience my friend had at this business and neither her nor I will be a patron of this business any time in the future. I dropped her off at about 2 for a full set, they asked if she wanted a pedi, said no as she needed to be done by 3:15, they assured her they could do the set and pedi and have her out by 3:15. Needles to say that did not happen and she had to cancel a business meeting, because they did not get her done on time and did not seem to care, she could not leave with her hands half done as that would have left a very unprofessional impression to her client. Overall they were rude, did not care about time, did not care about how they nails looked, the just wanted her MONEY. I will post pictures on there google page of the awful looking nails, they look like fat chiclets that got glued to her fingers

Have been here twice. Prices are great. Its a very clean and peaceful place. The people there are nice and I was treated very well. This is my new favorite shop.

Services are a 5/5... when Im able to get them. Problem is that there are only 2 ladies who work there. Ive shown up during business hours, the sign says open and no one is there. Its also hard to make an appointment when only 2 people are providing the services.

They do the best pedicure in town. However, like the last few reviewers, its almost impossible to get an appointment. They dont answer their phone, which is fine if they are with a client, but pleas get an answering machine and call people back.

Very detailed work

My boyfriend and I walked in for a manicure and fills around 230pm, only one customer was in the building and about 4 other nail technicians. In a very rude tone we were told they were “booked” for the day. We felt super discriminated against so we walked out. I’ll never go here again.
