My Chihuahuas receive their primary care at this location. They are very well taken care of here. The staff is great. The building is clean. Recommend for your pets primary care needs.
Great vet n amazing stuff. My boys n I take all our dogs here. One of our dogs got parvo n the staff was so caring of her she survived. We r beyond grateful n they called for wks after she came back home to make sure she was still doing OK thank u to all the staff n prices r perfect
Dr Hailey Griffin and Dr Karter Neal are amazing and caring every time I need one of my pets taken care of I go to this clinic. The Doctors and staff are dedicated and care for your animals as if they were their own pets.Prices are reasonable, they explain everything to you about the problem, giving medication and follow up care. I will never go anywhere else.
Im currently here getting my dog spayed. They have been so great communicating verbally but the signs are incorrect. They say to keep your pet in a leash/carrier at all times but due to covid they would like to fill out a paper and sit in your car until they bring out a table for your pet. They dont have a lot of staff so the check in is taking awhile. Will update after my dog is done.
The first time I went to Santa Cruz Veterinary Clinic was in 2015. I had a puppy sprayed. I found the entire staff to be very kind to me and my pet. I live 45 minutes away from the clinic and I’ve tried two others close to home but I’ve returned to Santa Cruz after both visits. Santa Cruz genuinely cares for your pet. Both staff and veterinarians are so nice and helpful. As long as I have a pet, I will continue to take my fur babies to Santa Cruz Veterinary Clinic. They are wonderful!
Always friendly and helpful. They take social distancing serious too!
One of the best vets I have ever established my pets with.I have been raising dogs, cats, etc. for 25+ years...Santa Cruz shows their commitment to their patients and patients parents...My spouse and I have already decided that Santa Cruz Vet in Tucson will get a large donation if we ever come into $$$😉💰💰💰
They are very professional over the phone when scheduling and in person wearing a mask. We had to wait outside because they are not allowing the parents to accompany the pets into the clinic. On one hand, pull out your phone and get comfy cuz it took a while...about an hour wait. On the other hand, some might find 1hr reasonable because the Dr & vet techs are working together to communicate and assess our non-speaking family members w/emotions. My pit had anxiety high enough for them to recommend sedation (95) in order to take x-rays (275). I trust them with my dog.
I dont understand what the big fuss is about. People are incredibly impatient and heated when they dont get their immediate gratification. Always selfishly about them.Santa Cruz Vet is an awesome veterinary clinic that focuses on AFFORDABLE care for your pets. Since when are affordable business NOT insanely busy to take care of you instantly because you like to be the squeaky selfish wheel. Wait your turn.Santa Cruz does wonders for the Tucson and Arizona community through their charity and adoption events, their partnership with Asavet, and many other programs they offer. They do meaningful work. They also had an AWESOME Star Wars themed charity adoption event last December. It was fun, fluffy and nerdy!
I was happy to learn through P.A.C.C. that Santa Cruz Veterinary was able to spay and vaccinate a stray kitten that ended up on my doorstep. I want to thank them so much. I have since found someone who is willing to adopt her. So grateful for Santa Cruz Veterinary.
Very accommodating, fast response, Very caring, reasonable prices.
Iam very THANKFUL for Santa Cruz Vet Clinic. Their prices are AFFORDABLE. I love their Team. Very COMPASSIONATE and CARING TO the Furry Babies. Thank you
My dog Sasha got neutered there, beside Sasha reopening her wond everything went fine will be taking our other dogs there.
My Zena needed some dental work and shes 16. I was very concerned of course because of her age how the work would be done. I was well informed and everything went great. They were as loving to her as I am. Top Notch people. All heroes. AND it was low cost.Thank you for all you do. God bless🙏🐕💜
I wish I could give 5 stars because I know the staff are wonderful and they work very hard and tirelessly. They get 5 stars for those aspects. The negative issue comes into play with their scheduling. They schedule appointments extremely close together and it causes a backlog in each individual being seen. It would benefit them greatly if they reduced the volume and possibly alternated their schedule with higher level of care visits and two lower level visits like vaccinations. Or perhaps more staff who that can see patients rather than rotating 1 Or 2 veterinarians between 10 plus pets at one time.
I took my daughters rabbit to be what we thought was neutered only to find out AFTER the surgery was performed that our rabbit was in fact a girl and the spayed her. Yes, while it has its many benefits and so on, it still should have been something they called me about first. The only reason we were doing the neutering was because we knew we had a female already and didnt want bunny babies! Could have saved me $85 if they would have just had the decency and smarts to call the owner as soon as you realize the sex of the pet is NOT what the pet owner had previously stated and believed. I will definitely be more hesitant to go back and will be asking a ton of really in depth questions if I ever should need to go back I guess. Otherwise they were great with our dog.
I am very surprised, and very satisfied with the speed, care and pricing provided by Santa Cruz Veterinary clinic . They were not intimidating and welcomed us with open arms. Answered all questions, provided information on future concerns and clearly educated on how to properly care for my Dog after surgery. Thank u for ur help I’m glad to spread the word 🥰🥰
Fabulous staff and doctors
Im jennifer cejka and I took my dog in to be fixed today and I was treated like a 2 yr old child. Never in my life have I ever been treated so disrespectful an I felt like I was dirt or some rifraf. I forgot a bill on two cats for 20.00 6 years ago an the tech got in my face an harped on it for over 50 minutes an then I was asked 7 times where my car was an I told them that I didnt have one an there was a line of people waiting with thier pets when this all went down Ive never had this kinda problem with Santa Cruz Vet before oh an yes my bill for the two cats was paid. Im going to have a talk with dr neal about today.
Santa Cruz Vet is the best around. They are so compassionate and understanding. They truly understand how much we love our pets and have the best service!
We adopted a 12 week old kitten and were given paperwork verifying that she had been spay just 2 weeks prior at this clinic. Upon bringing her home, we noted after a couple of days that she was scratching at her ears. Turns out she had a TERRIBLE ear mite INFESTATION!!! Santa Cruz not only spay this cat, but clipped her ear as part of a feral cat program. So, they took the effort to clip her ear but not LOOK INSIDE HER EAR! We took her to a nearby vet and they said that she must have been in this terrible condition for a very long time. How this poor kitten must have suffered; along with the other cats that she was living with. It cost us $120 to clear up the eat mites and resulting infection, and we now fear that she has spread it to all our other pets, who must now be treated. We could NEVER have imagined that a cat recently treated by a vet would have been so neglected. Shame on this place for just churning animals through the TNR program and not caring for them properly.
This clinic provides an incredibly caring service to our community by doing free spay & neuter services for feral and community cats! Otherwise these kitties would keep on breeding, increasing the overpopulation. They even keep them overnight to allow them to recover fully before being released.Thank you!
Great staff who will work with you for you and most of all your pet.. their prices are great..
Our beloved older dog Luppy was nearing the end of his 15 years with us and in a lot of pain. Sabrina answered all my questions and was very informative and very compassionate when I called for information about scheduling an appointment to euthanize him which I truly appreciate because it was a very hard decision to make. I had called a couple of pet clinics for appointments and pricing and Santa Cruz was able to set up an appointment the very next day and the price was very affordable.Once there, the techs that attended to us explained the procedure and what to expect and gave us time with Luppy before the procedure, let us stay with him during and gave us time with him afterwards to say goodbye. We used their cremation services as well and got them back in about a week.Just everything about the clinic and their staff made his passing not so much easier but at the very least as comfortable and peaceful as possible. I just wish they had a box of Kleenex in the room but other then that I was very satisfied with the service they provided for us.
I would not recommend this place, Save your money and time. You can ask questions about why they are giving or aren’t give treatment. I called to get the meds they gave my dog so when I go somewhere else they know. They wouldn’t give them to me. The recipe said Provo test and out treatment for Provo. Tests was neg but still did treatment for Provo. To lazy to really see what was wrong with him. Took him to the vet emergency cost less and sent me how with his med he really needed.I am not a vet but my dog is up to date on shots. I also have another dog so I know it’s not Provo. They try to say it’s protocol for there office. Just away to make money.Staff was rude the manager called back but didn’t really care. She didn’t offer to give my money back either. If this was a person they would lose there license for malpractice, but since it’s an animal nothing really you can do.Save you time and money please!!!
Santa Cruz Vet Clinic is the best option for pet care. They are extremely compassionate and continually try to find ways to provide the community with low cost vet care. I drive all the way from Sierra Vista. Thank you so much for treating all of my pets with care and dignity. Y’all are awesome!
They are compassionate and very friendly! The office manager is excellent!! She goes above & beyond to help our pets. Reasonable prices & quality care.
They seemed to Care, but I still lost my 5 year old cat, after oral surgery they said that it went well but during recovery he stopped breathing and his heart stopped. They could not get it restarted.I know this happens sometimes but I miss my little boy.
I am so thankful. They were accommodating as can be, not to mention the only clinic around who did their best to make it affordable and possible for my cat to receive surgery.
They were very kind, caring and professional when treating my new puppy for parvo. Very fair prices too. Definitely switching vets! They are wonderful!
We took are cat Spot there. The service was Awesome!! The staff was great the price was very reasonable!! Thank you Santa Cruz Vet!! Max JC and Shanna.
I went to Santa Cruz Veterinary Clinic about a year ago and they were good and said they would let me know when my dog’s vaccination shots were due again. A year later I never got notified that they were due, my daycare reminded me instead. So I made an appointment to get his shots. A second set of shots were not due for another two months so I made an appointment right then and there to get them done. The time came and I was leaving for a vacation the very next week so this was very time sensitive. I called the day prior to confirm my appointment and was told that we were good to go. When I showed up, they almost did not believe me that I had an appointment!!! Not only were they certain that I didn’t have an appointment, they told me that there were no doctors available! When they FINALLY FOUND my appointment, they told me that they could not reschedule until next week and recommended me to a vaccination clinic down the street. This was unacceptable and I can’t believe that I after me taking extra precautions to ensure my dog was taken care of that they were utterly useless and unwilling to fix their blunder and at least schedule me the next day or that same week. On the bright side, it forced me to find a vet that has better hours and better bookkeeping.Side-note: I got their reminder for his shots in the mail a week later (which would have been well past the time they were due).
Its a low cost vet clinic, so dont expect upscale clinic. They genuinely care for the patients and respect the clients situations. Its does smell, but service so many needs I dont blame them for that.
They were not very kind. They didnt send a pain relief Rx to the pharmacy & my Chihuahua was in pain the day after spaying. I cant believe charity in AZ is very hard on seniors. It seems dogs & cats will be only a gift to those who can afford them. They have forgotten God gave those for all to enjoy regardless of financial status. Man is making them a cause for profit.
My dog got very ill and today was the worse day possible with him. Couldn’t see him suffer so brought him here and he passed away before we walked in the door. The staff felt our heartbreak and were very compassionate. I know my buddy is happy playing around now. The staff allowed my wife and I to say goodbye to him and didn’t rush us. The were good people that I trusted to take care of my best friend.
We took our puppy to get her vaccines and spayed. The staff was respectful and treated us with kindness and patience. Although the staff was extremely busy, they were still able to show professionalism and patience. I left my puppy there for a few hours until the procedure was done and I felt sure that she was treated kindly. Thank you for helping us with our baby.
I took my Siberian Husky to Santa Cruz Veterinary in clinic. The Husky was abandoned and I rescued him and he needed to be neutered and have all of his shots. Everyone at the clinic were so professional, caring, and informative. I am so grateful for all they have done for my dog and myself.
Thank you so much for all you folks do! Youve helped me and Im sure many others with the farrow cat issues here in Tucson. So many here in Tucson wouldnt know what to do without you! Caring people here! Thank you again!
Our 14 week old puppy got parvo, and these amazing people treated him, cared for him and saved him! I can not express how much they did for us! They called us daily with updates and not only treated our dog but gave him love and got him thru this ♥️ They will be our new vet from now on and highly recommend! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to the whole staff!! Maximus means the world to us, and thank you for caring for him as much as we do! ♥️♥️♥️
I will say that the office manager is rude and makes you feel like you are inconveniencing her. However, I am used to bad customer service in Tucson so I can easily overlook it for the price I pay.I have been taking my cat here for 12 years, and my mom has been taking her dogs here for the same amount of time.Growing up my mom never has taken her animals to the vet before, however after I was an adult with my own money I always went to the ABC clinic for shots but once I found this vet I have never went back. Once, I told my mom how affordable it was to actually take the animals to get seen yearly for their shots, my mom was hooked on this vet too.I have had my cats teeth cleaned, which required blood work because of her age and it was actually affordable (200 bucks, and that included the blood work and 2 teeth extracted), as well as her front claws removed (which was my parents demand if I wanted to keep her and live with them).I am bummed that the original vet retired as he was the best one there. I saw one vet who told me she wasnt that knowledgeable in cats, when I took my cat there to be seen for an issue (that kind of scared me), however she went and consulted with someone else and came back with a solution that worked. I just wish they could figure out why my cat is bulimic (however considering the number of help forms no vet has been able to solve the problem of cats always puking after a meal, so I wont hold that against them).Bottom line: if you can overlook a rude office staff that make you feel like you are inconveniencing them, and if you want an affordable vet service then this place is for you. Just know your pets will be treated kindly and that they will be well cared for, and it wont break your pocketbook. They are also part of the trap and release program of feral cats, so that is a plus.
Amazing experience. The staff is top notch and they truly care about each patient and their parents. We appreciate their generosity and philanthropic culture towards helping control the pet population.
My Chihuahua had a terrible cut on his neck. Took him to a veterinarian and they wouldnt sew his wound because I only had $ 950.00 of the $ 1200.But they enjoyed charging me $ 184.00 for the the visit. A friend told me about Santa Cruz and they charged me $ 150.00!! VVery
Had a pet emergency that unfortunately resulted in my loved one having to be euthanized. They squeezed me in last minute. Still got me in quickly and made the whole procedure as easy and painless as it can possibly be for my pet and I. The staff was amazing! All of them! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Highly recommend
Called to inquire regarding low cost spay service for cat. Person who answered call obviously doesnt care or have compassion for animals. I am on fixed income and trying to do right by stray cat who came to seek safe place to have her kittens (5). I fed her, and made place for her in back porch for her and kittens. I found good homes for all kittens and wanted to have her spayed. Dont know if she will come around anymore now that kittens are gone. She is still not very trusting of me, but has occasionally let me get close to her. I had seen advertising from this vet clinic stating they do free spay and neuter services, but I guess they just say that to try to get customers. Very disappointed. 😢😡
It was suggested to us that our dog come for some much need surgery to your facility. After reading the reviews I have decided not to take my dog there. If I have to put a mortgage on my house I will to get Her much needed surgery done right with a professional staff. Thank you everyone for the reviews they gave us a good insight in what we were going to be in for. I love my dog. I owe her the best. Oh and who comments after a customer tries to tell you how unhappy they are with such negative replies? Thats what did it for us.
The staff at Santa Cruz veterinary has been wonderful, caring and professional. My 5 dogs are always welcomed and cared for. They are an asset to our community. Great job
I was referred by my mother in law. My cat had pyometra, scheduled an appointment to get her spayed; thanks to Santa Cruz Vet, got her in fast, & took care of my baby girl. Very much appreciated, I’ll continue my service there, as well as spreading the GOOD word about this vet!
I just want to say that the whole staff at the Santa Cruz vet are very caring and compassionate..I took my very sick kitten in there on Aug 8th because he was very constipated, extremely dehydrated and losing a lot of weight..They did everything that they could for him..I took him home that morning with medication that they prescribed for him and some eye cream..Sadly he passed away the very same day...I was suppose to bring him back the next day for another round of fluids under his skin..I called them the next day to tell them of his passing.. Two weeks later I recieved a very beautiful card in the mail from them saying how sorry they were to hear that he passed and thank me for trying to save him..I will forever be grateful to them..
I take my three dogs here. It is worth the drive from the northwest side of town. They are always kind and compassionate and when my Corgi had an accident and broken leg many vets wanted thousands of $$$ Santa Cruz saved his leg (two years ago) my pets are in excellent hands with Santa Cruz take your pets here with confidence. For the 1 star review for missing an appointment card thats insane. If that is the only problem then maybe 3 or 4 stars but one star for something that is your shared responsibility??? Im not waiting for them to contact me about my dogs I am an adult and know I take my dogs in every December like clockwork.
I have been taking my pets to Santa Cruz for over 20 years. I appreciate all of you!.Thank you for caring for my pets and for all the pets in the city (including feral cats)Your work is incredible and much needed. You guys are awesome!
Dont bother... Took my cat and they skipped me a few times. Took them a while to realize I was skipped and said sorry. Instead of helping next, they said they would help me as soon as possible. People who had appointments were being seen when I should have been helped next.
Santa Cruz clinic is fabulous. They even do a feral cat thing where they spray and nueter them. They ARE busy. This place has love for animals. The staff is kind, caring and loving to the animals. Go see them
They took such good care of my old pup. Hes a completely different dog since his surgery. He thinks hes a puppy again. They gave us a great deal for all he needed done. Thank you for saving our best friend.
Dr. Neal our Vet takes good care of our extended Family Member Roxy. She has a phenomenal reputation in Tucson as a caring veterinary professional. A little bit of a drive from the far East side of Tucson, however she is definitely worth it. The prices were very affordable, and she gave us the VIP treatment. I would recommend Dr. Neal to anyone that needs caring service for their animals. Keep up the fantastic work for Tucson veterinary services.
Had a sick puppy, and they were very quick to fit her in the next day! Excellent service & pricing! I would highly recommend this vet clinic!
Their customer service is AWESOME there. Its hard to get someone on the phone sometimes because theyre so busy but Its worth the wait. They were great with my baby girl when she was getting fixed and I really appreciated how patient they were with her (shes difficult with new people and other dogs)
They opened 10 minutes late. Place was chaos. I was holding my puppy, purse, and the clipboard they handed to me, and had to unstack the plastic chairs myself so I could even have a place to sit. I was there for my new puppys spay and rabies vaccine, but I also requested a microchip, nail clip, post surgery pain meds, and for them to register the rabies vac with the county. There was a place for this on the form. I initial each desired service. Then a staffer reviewed the list with me to make sure thats what I wanted, and highlighted each in pink, then asked if I understood I was responsible to pay for the services, and had me sign stating I understood I had to pay for services. Finally, they took my puppy to the back and told me pick up was between 4 & 5 PM. I returned a few minutes before 4, and when it was my turn I was told I owed nothing extra as the rescue organization was covering the spay and rabies shot. I explained I had additional services, microchip, etc. She asked if I had told anyone. Really? I had initialed, reviewed, watched as each service was highlighted in pink, listened as it was verbally explained that I was responsible to pay, and finally signed that I understood. The woman flipped through my puppys chart while questioning me as if I was trying to con them by forcing more money on them. Then she found the highlighted form on which the services were listed. Just as I had stated. The woman said she could enter the services. I assumed the services had been done but the charges were not entered. But no, the services had not been done! Sloppy. Careless. Unprofessional. I said forget it. Got my dog and left. That was 11.2.17. The next day I went on line to register my dog with the county (since they were to lazy, or stupid to do it), and took a closer look at the spay and rabies certificates and saw they had her date of birth as 11.2.17. Wow! My puppy is so exceptional she is born weighing 8.4 lbs and gets spayed and vaccinated the very same day! Makes Lassie look like a real loser. Before you decide to take your pet there, ask yourself if they are so careless with these types of details, are you willing to risk them taking this Who cares? attitude with you pets health? I hope and pray my puppys spay was done carefully and correctly. But I will always have doubts, but all I can do is warn others. Do not risk it.
This place is the best! They are one of the only few places today that actually care about their patients. We have taken our dogs here many times and a few times we were low on cash and they worked with us anyways. Everywhere else turned their noses and hid their tails.I would definitely recommend going here if you want your loved one to be treated like a member of your family.
I have a husky and she had an appointment for a hernia removal. When i filled out the paperwork and even the sign in sheet, I was very specific about being a hernia removal. They spay my dog and did the hernia removal surgery. They didn’t pay attention to what they were doing they weren’t supposed to spay her. Now i won’t even be able to breed my dog for their mistakes. They are calling it a miscommunication from when the appointment was made. I am furious about this besides that they wrote in spay for the surgery type, practically saying that It was me who wrote it. Clearly you see the difference in the handwriting.
Weve been going to them for many years now and theyve always been great. Prices are affordable, and the care is wonderful. We had a puppy who came down with parvo, beat that, and then got valley fever, and the vets there really helped us get her through all that and find the valley fever medication for a reasonable price.
I recently went in with my new puppy to get her shots and was very shocked and embarrassed when she started growling at Maria (office manager and vet assistant) when she tried to take her temperature. She was very reassuring and just suggested some puppies classes to get her more socialized. She was very calm and said she was going to get a muzzle for the vet just in case. She ended up needing the muzzle as my puppy continued to show anxiety and aggression. I felt that everyone at Santa Cruz was very professional and reassuring. I also had to have my last dog put down there and they were again very calm and reassuring. It’s also easy to get an appointment last minute!
Very helpful and affordable. I have gone there a few times and wouldve given them 5 stars but the wait time was pretty bad. I scheduled appointments and was on time each time but I noticed others would get seen before me when they came in after me.The end results were a success and for that Im grateful!!!
In the past 50 + years have encountered a large number of Veterinary Offices and Clinics. The Santa Cruz Veterinary Clinic is by far the greatest that I have encountered !The Office Staff, Vet Techs. and Veterinarian are the BEST !!!!!!
We are dog sitting for our daughter when her dog started having problems with her hip, she has had previous hip replacement. Everyone was so kind and we were able to get a quick appointment. It turns out she is developing some arthritis and is overweight. We were told to cut back on the treats and given some anti inflammatory medication. As doggie grandparents we want to spoil the pets! But again, everyone in the office was so kind and caring.
We took our dog in to see about his dry skin and his thinning hair. He is a 2 1/2 year old lab. Had him since 6 weeks and always fed him good food and updated on all shots. The vet looked at him for no more than 10 minutes and said well send him back to get checked for ringworm. Another 10 minutes the vet tech came back with our dog and she said they located ringworm on the tip of his ear, so they gave us a prescription for $80.00 along with a sulfur dip for another $10. After giving him pills twice a day for 3 weeks we noticed his skin staying dry and his hair was thinning a lot faster than before. Instead of going back we contacted a mobile vet that comes to your house through a friend. She ran multiple skin test and found out it was a allergy symptom and that nothing indicated he ever had or has ringworm. Along with the home visit and medication it only costs us $20 more and received a vet that actually cares about your pet and not just other apt on her board. Please go elsewhere
We had an appointment and we didnt get seen until 2 1/2 hours later. We were there for a little over 3 hours to get our dog checked. They seem to be busy and I understand staff can call in sick or things can happen but please warn us about the wait. Give us the opportunity to decide if want to wait an hour or two especially if we have an appointment. Check up on us and tell us how much longer it will take. I had other appointments that day that I had to cancel. I will be looking for a new clinic for all of my dogs and I recommend everyone to do the same unless you like waiting . After all the wait, my dog did get the help she needed but its ridiculous. They smile at your face and dont apologize and then hit you with a bill over $100. How convenient????
I love this vets office. My husband and I and our son have been using them for over 6 years and have found them to be very reasonable in their pricing and very compassionate during the tough times. I would heartily recommend them to anyone needing veterinarian care.
I started going to Santa Cruz when my Pit Bull, Mia, needed to be spayed. The Doctors noticed that she had severe eye irritation do to having Entropion. They were so great with the surgery, treatment, and cost that we highly recommend them to everyone. We then brought our cat, Charlie, in, to get several teeth pulled. They did a great job with the surgery that night and the next day. Charlie however passed away 2 days after his surgery, in no fault of Santa Cruz. It was due to his age. Santa Cruz went above and beyond any Vet Clinic that I have ever taken any pet to. They were not only extremely sincere when we let them know Charlie died, they covered the cost of his cremation, and reimburse my husband and I half of what we paid for Charlies surgery. They deliver great customer service and truly care about your pets well being. Thank you Santa Cruz!
Well, I just hope my dog is going to survive after surgery at this place. We picked him up at 5:00 p.m. He is still exhibiting signs of being in deep anesthesia. I havent given him any of the meds they gave me because he is so out of it. His respirations are about one breath every 20-30 seconds. He is an outdoor working dog and I live way out in the country. This clinic didnt even have the doctor call me to discuss what would be best for him. Donovan is a Champion Australian Shepherd. His job here is to keep the coyote packs from jumping the fence and to keep unwanted humans (smugglers) from bending my fences and crossing the property. I live 45 miles from the Mexican border. They shaved him all over the most vulnerable part of his hind end. Coyotes go for that area to cripple their prey (with the intention of severing the arteries) and now he has no protection from them, never mind the sun. His protective coat wont grow back for an entire year. This is what happens when clinics become assembly line with front office personnel who have no idea whats going on. Besides that, the smell of cat urine is overwhelming. Krishna Medina - they did that to Donovan to and he is the last of line that can breed on.
My parents and I have always brought our pets to this wonderful Clinic. They were very caring and supportive when we brought our dog Queenie in. She was suffering form a tumor they gave us medication for it and when it didnt work they offered surgery but they didnt push it on us because their was a high risk that she wasnt going to make it because of her age and also the tumor was causing her to be way underweight. They were very supportive when we choose to end her suffering even though it was very hard for us they were with us the whole time. Some people say bad things about this place but I always recommend people to this clinic and they never say anything bad
AMAZING WILL ALWAYS RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!
Everything is by appointment. Vetrinarians are caring and helpful. Will provide financial aid and other helpful services based on programs at the time.
My husband took our dog in this morning. To find that they do not take walk ins. The girl asked twice if he had a appointment he told her twice no. I have reread the web site 3 times and have not found anything about no walk ins. Also the recording tells you Mondays open until 7 pm but they close at 530. So my dog has a open wound on his belly. I called to get a appointment was told not until Monday. Do they not care if infection sets in. He was also fixed there a few weeks ago. This not the first time we have had problems with this place. My other dog had surgery there. We took him back saying some was not right. Where they found stitches still in his leg. It took them 3 or 4 times before they found them. He had puss coming from the area. Then charged me. The clinic smells like cat pee. Every time Ive been there. The girl today on the phone would talk over me. Until I got loud . I would never tell anyone to take there pet in. I have referred alot of people. I also asked to speak to the office manager she would not be in until Monday. They say one thing and then its something else. Would really like to talk to the owner. But that wont happen
Santa Cruz vet along with green valley animal welfare league saved my calicos life!! My most deepest heartfelt thanks to the both of you, because without her surgery, she would have died a slow death of starvation. I could never have hoped to even begin to pay for it. You both have my respect, love and allegiance for all time. Thank you! Billie Jo Mcilvane
The compassion shown to us while dealing with the loss of our dog Roxy has been above and beyond anything I ever expected. They truely understand that our pets are our family. Thank you.
I have many dogs my 1st experience was pleasant got 3 females spaded no problems but when it came to my males I watched the attendant that helped me throw my dog who was obviously given something into the kennel threw him like a piece of meat thats not all my poor dog the one and only that trusts people was in for neuter comes home with 1 ball still and bleeding to death if you love your pet dont go back they wont awnser there phones anyway
We brought our newly adopted kitty here for a neuter. Super friendly and caring staff and the best price for neutering we found in town. $50 for neuter and the shot they require. Most ofher places were around $85+.
I have had mostly good luck with this animal clinic and have been going here for 12 +- years, and have always felt like the care was more than acceptable, between my family and I they have been with us through more than 15 animals! Now I will say that what attitude you will get from the office staff is highly variable. They have several real sweethearts and 1 real stinker in the front office, and believe me that one stinker can ruin a whole week for ya.But bottom line, I go for the doctors and not the front office, so if your willing to put up with some BS once in a while, I think you will be happy here.
My dogs wound has opens up and my mom called them and they have had no response and it wasn’t my dogs fault it opens
I love Santa Cruz Veterinary Clinic. I had been looking for a new Vet as mine retired. I am very picky who I take my kids to for their care. I had tried a few places. They were Aweful all had different reasons why I did not return. If I had the time to express my experiences of why I never went back after the first visit. I would have written a book. If you are looking for a loving, caring Vet. Look no further. Your search is over. I highly recomment & have, Santa Cruz Vet Clinic. Must mention they are very affordable.Thank you Santa Cruz. You have certainly earned my trust in caring for my kids. This is not easy to do with a person as picky as me. I look forward to a long time of your caring for all my pets.Debra Long
I was having a hard time my ladybug (boxer) I have had for 13 years had to be put down I was heartbroken and every place I called seemed to want to take advantage of me 200.00 to 300.00 were cheapest until I called them they were so helpful and caring 50 dollars and kind hearts they are a great bunch of people
Thank you so much for helping me with my babygirl Mili (pug) it means that world that you guys were abel to help her with her eye. It was an emergency and they were so nice and caring not only for my pug but to us too. It means alot
Took my baby there to get fixed told to come back around 4 or 5, so I go pick my babies up, my Lucy wasnt acting right when we got home, I figured it was the stress if the surgery and the anesthesia, so I laid her on my bed, she wasnt moving, her breathing was erratic, so I picked her up and I screamed for my daughter to call the lady who helped spay her was told to call the emergency vets and I did, they said bring her in, she took her last breath when I pulled in the parking lot, brought her in they raced her in the back and started CPR, but it was to late, these people didnt call or anything to see how my babies were doing or anything. These assholes killed my baby, she was absolutely fine when she went two hours later, she died. They treat these spay and neuter, like our babies are on a conveyor belt, they rush through the procedures and screw up alot. If I have any say in this these people will be shut down, they dont give a shit about us or our babies. And I will NEVER send anybody to them. They are murderers. Oh yeah dont bother telling me to call the office so we can straighten out this situation, there nothing to straighten out you guys killed my baby. Period
Dr. Karter Neal is the bomb..great staff and animal lovers.
I was looking for a place to take my chihuahua and was calling everywhere because I needed to neuter him and didnt have a lot of money to do it. I was fortunate to come across this vet clinic online and called them to explain my situation and that my dog had cryptorchidism and I really needed to neuter him. The lady on the phone was soo very helpful. She informed me that they could do it for $5 because of that assistance program thing, even with his condition. She gave me the soonest appointment which I was surprised was in the same week, I took him in and all went well. My dog Armani is now running around happily and we have peace of mind that he wont be developing cancer and will be with us for a long time
They are friendly, helpful, and they didnt try to price gouge and try to take advantage of a dog owner like a lot of the veterinary clinics are none for...highly recommended in my opinion ...
Excellent Veterinary care! Extremely reasonable price, and you can tell they care about the animals they treat.
Once a dog has had parvo they cant get it again so why try to bully an owner into giving a dog that has had parvo another shot. I also know where and how he got the parvo and i am not happy. I will be taking further action and will not be taking any more of my furbabies to your clinic for anything.
Always great service.if there is anyway they can fit you in to schedule to see Dr they will. They are the best. Not only is the Dr and staff the best but they care and understand your animal is a family member not a just a pet
Great vets office. Friendly staff, inexpensive
Treated us kindly nd took gr8 care of my Pitador Wesson when he was neutered
They were very insensitive to the passing of my dog, who lost a battle with lymphoma cancer. It is sad for a business that makes its money from caring and healing animals to be so insensitive.
Wonderful people, great care for my pets, and works well for low income,
Cant even get someone to answer the phone. This tells me that they must be short staffed. Ill go somewhere else.
This place is so unorganized it is absolutely unreal. I will never come here again. Service is terrible as well!
RV travelling with two big dogs isnt always the easiest thing, especially when you need some veterrinary help with your buddies. Our Koda lost considerable mobility on an overnight stay in Tucson. The next day we visited Santa Cruz where two staff vets looked her over, provided some pain killers and we booked an appointment a few days later to see Dr. Neal the ortho specialist (and owner). It was with heavy hearts we euthanized our Koda but made all a bit easier with the kindness and support of the Santa Cruz team. For our second pet Leo, Santa Cruz greatly helped with filling a prescription from our Vancouver BC ortho specialist. If we are in the area and need help well be back in a flash.
