I had to find a ground floor one bedroom apartment for my elderly mother in a very short amount of time that was close by my house. Apparently, ground floor apartments are a commodity and very difficult to come by, so I learned. I walked into Toscana Cove on the right day at the right time. I was pleasantly greeted by Beth, who is very soft spoken and professional. Since I have not had to rent an apartment for many. many years, Beth was extremely helpful explaining how the process works. Through the entire application and approval process, I emailed Beth multiple times and/or went into the office with many questions. I never felt I was bothering or annoying Beth. She was allows very patient and extremely professional. Who I was disappointed with, is Beths manager. I believe her name is Catrina, but I am not sure. When I went into the office with my mother to introduce her to Beth and the other staff, I noticed it was the first time I noticed the managers office door open. I knocked on the open door and was greeted by a not so pleasant young lady. She looked at me as if I was annoying her. I ignored her rudeness and communicated to her how pleased I was with Beths customer service. The manager responded to me they were lucky to have Beth; however, she seemed less than thrilled of my compliments about Beth, as well as seemed preoccupied and annoyed I was taking up her time. If I had walked into this type of customer service when I was looking for an apartment, I would have immediately exited and gone elsewhere. The manager was definitely correct when she communicated they are lucky to have Beth! Beth is absolutely the reason why I chose this apartment community. Thank you kindly, Beth. I love living here, Ive been here for years. Love the property in general. Although Im not happy with the constant over charges and ridiculous rent increases since management changed. I moved in here solely for the fact that it was a quality complex with a fair price. My rent is hundreds of dollars more since Ive moved in and I dont even live in a remodeled unit. Same outdated unit for a crazy price and the only answer as to why is everybodys rent is going up, not just yours... Never have any of us been charged for water, trash, sewer and thats now a big fee on top of the over $100 rent increase. I dont understand. This isnt fair for those of us who live alone and scrape by who have no choice but to stay. We all cant scrape up a deposit and first and last months rent for a new apartment. And the company knows that. Feeling very trapped. I understand it isnt the office staffs fault, but come on man... This is crazy...

The move in was seamless, the staff was very nice. The only problem I had only seen the model and moving in form out of town I did not have The chance to do a walk-through. I will talk to the management tomorrow or Friday when I return about the water damage on the kitchen cabinets. Other than that everything seems fine hopefully that won’t be a problem

Horrible place. They rent to the worst people in Tucson. Someone was shot right in the courtyard when I was living there. People are lying if they comment that maintance is great and the office staff is wonderful, TOTAL LIES!!! Office staff are lazy and rude ask ANYONE who actually lives there! Maintenance are extremely lazy (especially DAVID!)Lots and lots of excuses and very poor quality of work when he does do anything. Drive through the parking lot anytime of the week and see how disgusting the trash area is, always overflowing!!! This is the worst place Ive ever lived. Seriously if you think this review is all just talk ask a current tenant before you see an apartment.

The new ownership is terrible. In the first year I have been lied to, over charged multiple times, unlawful entry, door left open by maintenance, the trash bins are newly over filled all the time, rude management, and treat the tenants likegarbage.

The traffic noise is never ending. The chair I would be sittin in would bounce and vibrate when neighbors on either side were active in their apartments. I stayed until MEB took over and there was no longer swimmin in the winter. The office and maintenance were responsive. The rent went up and residential benefits went down.

Well, I was hired for HVAC & electrical maintenance back in 2015. I was required to live on site for incall emergencies, I really enjoyed working for Vicki Caruso..(great lady) & I was expecting to retire from toscana, but when the owner sold the property & m.e.b. management took over. We ( the entire maintenance crew) were told we would keep our jobs by leslie ) believed me, but that was a mistake...they kicked us all to the curb. Ive lived there til last month, watching them raise tenants rents, some over $200..& watching them let maintenances do very little and counting how many more move out every weekend because of it ..that, & last summer a tenant got murdered in front of many on the sidewalk on a Saturday. I should feel lucky, mine only went up$170...just happy to not be there...

Every apartment under this air conditioning system on this building, are getting besieged but a huge amount of gnats. It’s happening through the air conditioning system. I believe that includes at least 9 apartments as I understand it.Also, I don’t know for sure but it’s possible that if there is something fowl in this system viruses such as Legionnaires disease could be being pumped into all these apartments.I spoke with one of the previous employees who specialized in the maintenance of the air conditioning systems. He told me that they had they had fixed at least 52 systems but never got to this building. He pointed out this problem is probably occurring somewhere between the condenser and the individual units which is the one communal element involved in the entire system.As the days get hotter and the air conditioners are used more frequently the problem is getting worse.I had this problem last year but never to this magnitude.The office staff can’t comprehend how to deal with this situation but upper management may know how to resolve this problem for all involved.(Sending in a guy to fumigate wouldn’t touch the problem at all and I have birds so it’s not even an option.)I’m putting mouse sticky pads and canisters ofVinegar to attract and kill these swarms that shot out when the air conditioner turns on. I’m happy to send photos so you understand my problem but it’s more widespread than just my apartment.Anyway, no one needs to enter my apartment to resolve this issue. New management is fantastic. They respond to maintenance requests immediately. My son put something in my toilet so I thought, turns out I was wrong. It was the plumbing. But reguarless they replaced my toilet within the same week. So I have a brand new toilet now. I havent had a working stove, but I know due to covid its difficult sending maintenance into apartments right now. So Im understanding of that. They also waived all late fees when I lost my job due to covid and couldnt pay my rent for a month. They have a lot of heart, compassion and understanding for struggling situations. My apartment is very spacious, its quiet here and all the neighbors are great! The air conditioning works phenomenally, hot water gets super hot which is awesome! And the staff is super friendly! Toscana cove is definitely a great place to live!! Ive been here for 3 months so far, and I look forward to living out my lease with them and possibly extending it if I would be able to transfer to a 2 bedroom eventually.Update: I finished out my lease! 1 year, and I absolutely would live at toscana cove again . It was a great place to live. Wonderful neighbors, wonderful staff. The only thing I didnt like was the parking lot and finding a parking spot was always horrible. But other than that this place is a nice quiet place to live.

You truly can’t beat this location. Toscana’s views off Speedway to the mountains are literally head and shoulders above the neighbors.You can also tell the management that recently took over really cares about the property and is starting to make a difference.

Although friendly, New Management refuses to return deposits from old management company. I paid off lease and moved out early, leaving it in better condition than when I moved in. Left early due to truck getting broke into, homeless people wandering the property, hot tub being used as bathtub, psych patients wandering around and shootings in the parking lot.

Of all the slums on Tucsons far east side, this is by far the worst. Several friends have lived there over the years and one horror story after the next. I have personally had at least a dozen drug dealers approach me as I was visiting waiting for my friends. The review with 5 stars complimenting someone on how beautiful they are...they cant even write good fake reviews for themselves. This is a housing project for drug dealers, addicts and severely mentally ill. Normal people get fed up and leave. The entire complex is severely mold contaminated, which will destroy your physical and mental health. The grounds are filthy, the maintenance man has addiction issues and appropriates carts from CVS next door when his golf cart isnt working. The staff is beyond rude and incompetent, the apartments are falling apart, and their landscapers cut down a bunch of trees near the speedway street and dumped them in the wash illegally last year. Our tax dollars ended up paying for the city to come and drag them out. Oh, and their scummy tenants dump their personal trash in the bus stop garbage instead of walking a few feet. They also dump their personal trash in the wash, which then ends up in the neighbors back yards down stream when it rains. I think it is time for the community to contact the city council and get these slumlords out of there.

After living there for one year having paid my rent in time every month. They are trying to add a bunch of trumped up charges on me. Im a single no pet having non smoker and since I left they are trying to charge me for painting the whole apartment. They have really stacked the charges up. Lady in front office told me I might as well not clean the carpet cause they were going to charge me for a cleaning anyway. So now they are saying I have to pay to re carpet the whole apartment. I do t recommend living here. Once you move out they act like you have just pissed them off. I have to fly back from Texas just to take them to court for these trumped up charges. I could have stayed another 6 months with what this headache is costing me !!! I need the owners to contact me because what they are trying to do is wrong. I will fight this as much as I can. They have my number or ask me and I will put it on here

Cant wait my new lease to finish and leave this place because of the worst management they have. I stayed for 2 years in my old apartment (1 bed, 1 bath) and when switching to the 2 beds-2baths, they charged me $1600 for cleanings.( had no pet, non smoker, ...) without any explanation and details. I went there several times to ask for explanation, they said they will call me and they never called.I also referred 2 persons there when I moved in there and they never pay that. They always postpone you every time you go there to ask saying that they will call you as usual.I have never seen a worst management like that in my entire life.But I appreciate the maintenance staff. They are doing a good job.

Lived here for 3 years then left town. Upon coming back there is no other place Id rather live. Wonderful staff, fair pricing, and the place is always kept clean as well as improving. Rent can fluctuate with lease renewals but thats just business. All in all awesome place.

I’ve been asking for a filter for my air since November I still haven’t got it . I have a 2 year old my water heater has broke 2 times the first time it took them 4 days to fix I called yesterday to let them know all she said was “ okay” I said “okay??” She literally said “mhm” and hung up.... please don’t move here very unprofessional and cheap apartments

I love my apartment. The staff and management is awesome. Yes you do see negative feedback . . . But in any relationship via it personal or bussiness one must put in the work. This is a complex that allows you a second chance it life . . . And if you screw that up, its on you not the management. I am so happy here that I keep renewing and have never lived any where as long as I have lived here.

Came here to visit a friend for a night and woke up next morning to find out my car was towed. No notice for a day in advance saying roads will be paved or signs not even the entrance was blocked off for road being paved for 5am in the morning. Cost me $220 to get my car back and the guy who towed it said he towed 15 cars from the same apartments. Only paper everyone one got was 2 weeks ahead of time “two weeks” most people obviously forgot because that is too far out to remember something stupid like this. Try talking to workers in office and all they had to say was “this is not up for discussion” then I asked them for a number of someone who can actually help they said sorry nothing we can do. Clearly these managers don’t care about the people who live here at these apartments.

They claim to be drug free felon free, yet you smell marijuana around there all the time. Building 9 is a halfway house, tenants change in it constantly. They dont tell you when you rent a place, that youre neighbors are in a halfway house. Maintenance is so slow at doing anything. Cabinet doors wont stay shut. Appliances are very old and barely work. When maintenance does come around your afraid the main guy could have heart attack at any time the way he breaths and smokes. Management refuses to give you corporate name or number. The prices they advertise online arent the prices they have. Vicki the manager cant keep her story straight. It changes right in front of you as she talks. I never let my daughter go outside due to some tenant (old guy in building 9) always trying extra hard to be friends with the kids. Cops are on property at least 2 to 3 times a week. You hear neighbors fighting all day and night. Manager dont do anything about it when you complain. I would not ever consider moving back to that trashy place. If could leave rating of negative i 10 I would. How funny managmentx response they know about all the issues and turn blind eye. Dont believe them. Just read all the other peoples posts on this place. We cant all be wrong.

Was in urgent need of a new place old apt had no heat for 3 weeks.Toscana cove were very helpful and kind.yes they have rules like everyone should have. I am sure the people who have complained did t want to follow the rules.at least I am sure you had heat! Met one neighbor has lived here for 10 years!

Security guard, parking in handicapped space, refused to yield to disabled person with handicapped placard. Said disabled could park in another space at some distance from handicapped space. That is reprehensible.

Do NOT rent here. They will charge you for carpet replacements at the end of your term, ignoring your pictures of move out and then send you to collections when you tell them they are incorrect with your evidence. They are frauds and out to get every extra buck they can.

Update: ANOTHER UPDATE:Still living here after over 10 years! MEP management bought out this company for Toscana Cove! As with most things I have not met the staff but they have been willing and very very helpful during these unprecedented, otherworldly, at times impossible, and away of the new world! I lost a job due to Covid! And they have been willing and done everything on their end to help assist with other organizations that are able to help with pain rent. I have suffered the loss of five people that I love in less than one year! Some of them due to Covid, but it has brought on a lot of isolation anxiety and depression. I tried to start a new job and lost two left ones exactly 2 months apart. I am seeing a psychiatrist for my grief anxiety and depression and like a lot of people I have fallen on hard times but the office/management I’ve been wonderful about working with outside agencies to assist in homelessness prevention! Rental assistance. Which can be very time consuming and a lot of paperwork in an already overloaded and understaffed world! Very grateful to bed and Katrina, the manager!Posted 2years ago & its been 11 years total that I have lived here nowI’m still here! No matter where you go there’s going to be issues. When you put a mass amount of people together, not all of us are the same. They’ve made huge changes, in great ways here. It’s far from trashy and seems these reviews are from people who don’t live here anymore. They’ve been very good to me & I am still happy here. Maintenance crew are on top of things and always have been in my 11years here ( now)Yes rent is going up but since the cost of minimum wage lifted, I dont think this is the only place that has had an increase. The only real issue I have is along with the rent increase recently, they are also charging for something that was never charged in addition before. Sanitation/trash, pest control, water, maintenance, and a few other miscellaneous things. But the sad part is the trash is overloaded, I don’t have a problem with bugs but I’ve heard that some people do and pest control hasn’t been successful with a lot of people that I know that lived here. Most of them have vacated. I don’t have any water pressure and there are no separate water meters for the buildings in there certainly aren’t any individual water meters so I feel like we are carrying the brunt of the problem of people that moved out and fulfilling the application of the management company by being charged these additional fees.I am just being honest. But again I do enjoy living here even though I feel like there is room for improvement and I’ll probably be moving along to another place due to being here so long and the expense of rent plus all these utilities being more than what I can afford. But I do give a very good review and have a lot of respect for the staff that works here.Sometimes difficult to reach the office but again nothing in the world is the same now! It’s very sad that this Covid pandemic has turned our world upside down and if anything I’ve learned is that anyone that ever had entitlement issues hopefully has to change their views and learn to respect and appreciate the little things in life! I certainly know I have! Good, Family, Love, respect, equality appreciation and respect for ALL‼️I have a Lotta respect for everyone out there doing their best to make it in this world today!I’m still standing in my convictions! I have a great little Garden in front of my yard & associate with good people.Once you get to know people in the office, you’ll see they’re very understanding & I don’t feel the same as some of the other reviews.I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else!!
