I moved to Tucson from Washington state about two years ago, due to a job transfer. At that time, I rented at Pinnacle Heights sight unseen, I have to say that I am very pleased with my decision to rent here. One of the things I love is that they are pet friendly here and I have met tons of other dog owners while walking my dog around the complex. Isaac, one of the maintenance workers has been in my apartment for repairs a couple of times and has always been kind and professional. As far as the office staff, I have had a great experience with the entire staff. They are friendly and attentive to my concerns and always address them in a timely manner. Although there were some challenges we all had to deal with during COVID last year such as the fitness center and the pool being shut down, The manager Monica did a great job of keeping everyone informed as to how things were progressing so we always knew what was going on. Pinnacle Heights is a wonderful place to live and I definitely recommend living here.

These decades old apartments are anything but luxury. Pinnacle Heights deteriorating apartment complex has been an awful place to call home for the previous two years. These apartments do not offer the lavish amenities they claim to provide residents. Monica in the front office consistently ignores resident requests. She will happily charge residents for home repairs without reason after finally tending to months old maintenance requests which have fallen into greater disrepair.

I rented a Pinnacle Heights apartment in Tucson for 4 years and LOVED coming home to this beautiful place! The Pinnacle Heights Apartments are well-maintained, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the views from the property and many of the apartments are amazing. These apartments are on a hill looking north with stunning views of the Catalina Mountains, the same basic views as the world class Canyon Ranch resort only about one mile away. Living here was a wonderful way to experience the desert Southwest with the beautiful cactus, a curious Roadrunner who lived near my apartment and hikes along the creek in nearby Sabino Canyon. I mentioned the staff is very friendly and that includes the manager, Monica, and assistant manager, Sabrina, who make this a friendly community. Now, one reviewer has claimed tenants are paid for positive reviews. I dont believe that. I have not been paid anything for this positive review. This is my sincere assessment of what its like to live at Pinnacle Heights. Five stars from me!

My husband and I moved to Pinnacle Heights the last November (4 month ago) and the experience until now its being really good. The staff is very diligent, professional and willing to help. Maintenance is also very good. Isaac came several times to our house to solve maintenance problems, very fast and professional, with mask and respecting social distancing. In addition, the great views and Sabino Canyon at walk distance make it a good place to live, specially under the current situation.

We have lived here for a year. It is very much like living at a resort even during a pandemic. The maintenance department is great about responding to repairs which have been minor, and the whole staff always provides friendly professional service. Also you just cant beat the view. It is spectacular to wake up to every morning. I see something new on those mountains everyday. Thanks everyone at Pinnacle for a great year!

My boyfriend and I come from families that served in hospitality and are serving ourselves in the same department. We believe in respect, honesty, and faith. No matter the person or situation. We’ve been here for only about a month so far. And there’s been no complaints so far. In our opinions, you need to have patience and trust with living here (and almost anywhere, sorry people but it’s the same everywhere you go. And if it’s not, then kudos to you, you’ve found a community you’re kindred with. That’s why it’s YOUR home, not mine) if something goes wrong, have patience and trust it will be solved/fixed. Any communication I’ve had with Monica, has been extremely respectful and patient in the process for any reason I have called. If you didn’t like the way she talked to you, I can guarantee you, you’ve fed off a disrespectful tone and response. Respect goes both ways anywhere you go, and it definitely carries heavy here. I’ve had NO issues with office or maintenance. In fact, maintenance response to emergency work is fantastic and they are SO sweet and mannerly about it. They’llbe blunt with you on their knowledge on what needs to be fixed, and the time span it should be finished. My point is, this is a community where we all work together. If you’re not happy with something, just simply say it. But absolutely expect the same energy to return to you, as you feed it off. Put out some good communication and temper to your needs and desires, you’ll get the same in return.Thank you Pinnacle for being a sweet home to us so far ❤️

I have lived here for a couple years and love it so much. It’s extremely safe, quiet, and a beautiful property. I feel so fortunate to have the same view outside my window that home owners in the area pay millions for. I have referred several of my friends and family members to live here so you know it’s genuine. I’m so happy I chose to live here and when you go to sign a lease, tell them Kylee told you to do it ;)

Pictures say a thousand words. One good reason why there are so many positive reviews about Pinnacle Heights is because management buys positive feedback . Any time a resident leaves positive feedback (review) management allows the resident to spin the wheel for their reward as pictured below.Management does things the old fashion way,....if they cant EARN positive reviews, they BUY it,......spin the wheel.

So I haven’t moved in yet but am scheduled to soon and I’m soooooo excited!! The staff here have been nothing short of amazing during this whole process! I went in back in October to view the property and fell in love! Was all set to move in November and had a few life things happen all at once so I had to postpone my move in. The staff was super understanding and worked with my wants and needs throughout this entire process! I am so excited to finally be able to call this place home! The views are breathtaking every which way you look, the pool is stunning, and the gym is super nice too and that’s not even talking about the apartments themselves. The apartments are super spacious and just all around beautiful! As I stated before, I can’t wait to call this place home and a giant thank you to the staff for understanding life happens and still worked with me to get me into the apartment of my dreams! Thank you so much!!

I moved into Pinnacle Heights more than a year ago from Washington state. I absolutely love living here because the staff is so attentive to my needs. Last year when COVID 19 hit I had to start working from home. I love the fact that it is very quiet and peaceful here which allows me to focus more on my work. The one challenge I have is not having access to the gym in the evening because it closes after business hours. Otherwise, I couldnt think of a better place to live in Tucson and will recommend this place to anyone I come across who is looking for a place to live.

I am so very happy in my new apartment at Pinnacle Heights! I moved in to my apartment last month and it was in pristine condition. In fact, my entire renting process was a seamless, professional experience by the wonderful management team here. I had originally needed a 2 bedroom, and then needed to switch to a 1; they went with the flow and always provided customer service beyond expectations. The pool, clubhouse, and all common grounds are impeccably maintained. My neighborhood community is the best. I could not have found a better home.

I moved in recently and my experience has been super positive! The staff was friendly and hands on in showing me the units (where as a lot of housing companies are utilizing a very absent process where they email you the address and expect you to see yourself out) but they also maintained social distancing protocol and wore masks. The landscaping is beautiful, the neighborhood is quiet, and the units are spacious and well kept despite being 25 years old. I would have thought that these units were built in the last 10 years personally. There’s no frustrating gates but the community feels very safe and the staff is quick and efficient with repairs. The view is also quiet beautiful as well as the architecture of the buildings. Highly recommend this property.

I picked Pinnacle Heights because it is so pretty and well constructed and also based on my interaction with Monica and Tony, who work in the office. I have visited many apartments over the past weeks, and these folks by far were the most friendly, professional and authentic. Tony let me come right over, when I called, though it was getting late in the day. Monica spent a great deal of time with me. She was so particularly kind-hearted that it really helped me make my decision. Their service allowed me to see the climate of Pinnacle Heights. Really wonderful people. I moved into my apartment here at Pinnacle Heights in Sept of last year and I am soooo glad I chose this complex. After all of the research in the area, this complex was absolutely the biggest bang for the buck! The apartments are very spacious, and the staff is fantastic and very helpful. Isaac with the maintenance staff is the most kind and considerate guy; always professional and does go above and beyond to make sure whatever is broken is fixed. The view is incredible and if you like hiking, Sabino Canyon is right down the street. Everything you need is right here too; gas, Walgreens, pizza, nails and the beer & wine garden.I work remotely now and the area is quiet and calm. The neighbors are all very friendly and the community is diverse from singles to families. I also love the events that the complex puts on. WARNING !!!!! DON’T DO IT. SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY & STRESS. One of the most unprofessional offices I’ve ever encountered when dealing with apartments, Sabrina was very aggressive when it came to getting larger payments after I broke my lease with my fiancé. Took the maintenance entire month to fix my drain & never fixed my blinds. Lost a package at had clearly been delivered to the post office (confirmed with the ft Lowell post office). Huge pot hole in front on the drive up, interesting that I paid $1,200 a month and had to get my tire replaced when I drove over it during the night. Do NOT recommend anyone living here unless you don’t care about how you’re treated & know how to do maintenance yourself. Should have used YouTube if I knew I’d have to wait a month.

Ill give two stars for potential but unfortunately, it hasnt been a good experience. Lets start with the plumbing that rattles around after we or the upstairs tenant runs the washer or flushes a toilet. The air conditioner has failed twice and Im not sure of the energy rating with my TEP bills but its 5 times higher than my last two places. The first dishwasher didnt work, drain and after several requests they finally replaced but still having draining issues even after we were told to hand-wash everything, turn on the water for a few minutes until hot and cross our fingers that it runs properly. Then there was the two plumbing issues that soaked the carpets and walls but we were assured that there was no mold but they didnt provide any supporting documentation. They still havent had the carpets professionally cleaned. The stove has two burners that short out from time to time and the oven stopped working 7 weeks ago so Ive become a master broiler after being told several times they are waiting on a part rather than swapping out from another unit or replacing which was always done at my previous apartments. The first dryer took 3 cycles to dry and was finally replaced after numerous attempts to fix so steer clear of any entry level units and make sure you do the walkthrough before taking an apartment and see if its what was promised. I wont even discuss the electrical outlets. Staff and maintenance are nice which leads me to believe the real problem lies with the property management. Im still crossing my fingers hoping but I have to go re-run the dishwasher.

On top of all that what I really really really appreciate is the staff. Monica one of the head managers has been here for years always with a big smile she knows how to take care of people and with all her experience being her she knows everything you would need., hats off as well to all the rest of office staff there awsome. There tec/maitenace guys can do everything. Issac has been at our place twice would give him 10 stars, fixed lights, put in a new microwave, fixed electrical and saved the company from having to order a new dishwasher, we thought it was shot nope Issac did a few things made some recommendations and it works like new. Pinnacle Heights dont let that guy get away. Also hats of to Nick, did some great work and took care of our needs. Love it here, would recommend to anyone. Thank you Pinnacle Heights couldnt be happier. I lived at Pinnacle Heights for close to two years. The grounds are safe and serene, although it isnt completely crime free. From when I signed a lease in June 2018, management companies changed twice. That was confusing when residents had different leases with different terms and agreements. I broke my lease a few months early to relocate to a new job, and it cost an extraordinary amount, especially for the Tucson area. I lived in an unfurnished unit and I thought rent was a little high, even for the foothills. I justified it because it was a big unit (900 sq. ft) and the location in the back corner was unbeatable. While many of the office staff came and went in the time I lived there, I found Monica and Amy to be very helpful. Overall I had a pretty decent experience here.

I love living at Pinnacle Heights! I have been living at this property since 2013. During that time I have seen a lot of changes. There have been several upgrades to the property, like the clubhouse and fitness center. There has been a challenge lately, however. It has been difficult not having access to the pool and fitness center over the last couple of months because of the COVID 19 pandemic. Although the manager Monica has done an outstanding job keeping us informed and I am confident that they are doing their best to get things back up and running for us. I plan on staying for many more years to come and I highly recommend living here.

Background: I lived at Pinnacle Heights for six months before cutting my lease short due to a military deployment. I rented a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment that overlooked the smaller of the complexes two pools.Management: The management team was polite, courteous, and responsive, and knew my name. The maintenance staff was very responsive, with a turnover time of less than 24 hours. My heater broke just as it was starting to get pretty cold at night and they had it fixed within 12 hours of my work request.Apartment: My two bedroom, two bathroom apartment was spacious and comfortable. I rented a second floor apartment that overlooked the smaller pool. It was one of the older apartments that had not yet undergone upgrades. The appliances were pretty old, particularly the washer and dryer, but I worked out an agreement with the management to let me use my own washer and dryer, so long as I stored theirs. The washer and dryer both fit inside the huge master bedroom closet with plenty of space to spare.Amenities: I dont swim, so I didnt use the pools, but they are well maintained and look fantastic. I frequented the fitness center a few times a week. The fitness machines are a decent; I was really happy that there is a spin bike, but itd be nice if they had a Stairmaster or two. The extremely high ceilings would certainly accommodate them.Environment: The complex itself is well maintained with plenty of trees and flowers and grass, which is landscaped on a regular basis. Because of the way the complex is built into a valley between two large hills, the buildings themselves are not all on the same level. The topography doesnt allow for much connectivity for the sidewalks, but its not too difficult to get around. The view from the management office is incredible and makes me wish I had been able to rent an apartment closer to the entrance, which slopes steeply downward toward Snyder Road.Parking: Parking is probably one of the very few things about the complex that I found annoying. You get assigned one space (or a garage if your apartment comes with that), but the assigned parking is not located directly in front of your building. My parking spot was located in front of a different building around the corner from mine.Safety/Security: The complex is very quiet and I didnt notice any disturbances while I was there. A sheriffs deputy lives in the complex and is quick to respond to incidents. All in all, the complex seems very safe. Part of that is simply the secluded location of the complex, which is about a mile south of Sabino Canyon. My only complaint is that its difficult to walk up and down the hill from Snyder Road because there isnt a sidewalk or stairs. Conclusion: I enjoyed my time at Pinnacle Heights and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

I lived here for 2 years, and for a vast majority of the time it was great living. The rent has gone up since I left about 4 months ago, although if you can afford it, then youre sure to have an easy life here. Probably the best part is that its in a great area. Several times, I forgot to close my door all the way and the wind would blow it open, and it would be left open over night, and nothing bad ever happened. The other tenants seemed like good people. Theres ample parking. The staff (at least, the ones who were there 5 months ago) were great. The fitness room seemed a bit lacking, as it didnt have any adjustable weights that youd normally use for deadlifts, squats etc. They always asked for permission to enter before entering (at least as far as I know :P). I could sometimes faintly hear people from other units through the walls, but thats probably about as good as you can get from any given apartment. The only maintenance issues I ever had maintenance responded to very quickly. There were some ants and loud crickets that got into my unit, which was annoying to deal with for a few days. I could have asked the management team for help but I was able to solve the pest issues myself. That was about the worst that ever happened for pest issues.

I have lived at Pinnacle Heights since 2016. I moved here because of the location near Sabino Canyon and the overall sense of community here in this area. Even though they have recently undergone a change in management it is still a great place to live. Im really glad that Monica stayed on as Assistant Manager through the the transition. She is a familiar face and we trust her. She really cares. I have also noticed that my maintenance requests have been taken care of a lot quicker than they had been previously. Before it would take almost a week to get my requests handled. I havent formally met the property manager yet but from what I can see she is making great improvements to the property. There have been some challenges and minor inconveniences, however. For example, I use the fitness center quite frequently. But have lost access to that for the next few months due to renovations. I will have to make other arrangements to workout until the construction is completed. I hope the wait is worth it. Other than that, I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for an apartment in beautiful community close to Sabino Canyon.

My apologies for this late review, but felt I should comment on my experience with this complex after working as a temp agent at their sister property, Entrada apartments. A few months ago, I was scheduled to have an interview for a leasing agent position having over a year in property management experience as both an assistant and property manager. When I showed up that morning, they told me the person was out sick and theyd call me back... it never happened. Then months later (about three weeks ago) while temping, one of the office personnel from Pinnacle dropped by in the afternoon as they were to be scheduled to work the weekend at Entrada. When I was asked about my experience and where I have worked / applied, I told the woman what happened and she responded with they must have already considered someone else. Really? No courtesy call that morning (they were joking around in the office, definitely had the time to do so), no follow-up call, no apology, just nothing. If this is how they treat applicants who are trying to work for them, I cant imagine how they treat applicants interested in renting or even their current tenants for that matter.

Absolutely avoid this place at any cost. This is the most horrendous apartment complex with the most inconsiderate management of any place my wife and I have ever lived. The previous management was excellent, but the current management, Scotia, is a disaster. We lived there a year and a half, Scotia took over and began demolition work in the apartment directly below ours with no notice whatsoever. Incredibly loud noise day and night, 7 days a week. The management and the maintenance people are downright hostile. And, yes, when I left they charged me bogus fees for the painting of a door, which I did not do. There are signs all over the complex offering existing residents $400 to refer people to sign leases there. That tells you how desperate these people are to rent their apartments.

Beautiful views, decent amenities, safe neighborhood. The only thing that is keeping me from 5 stars is an incident we had in the summer of 2014. The A/C died in our apartment in 105 degree heat. We called several times for a repair service. Instead of addressing the issue they kept attempting to repair a clearly broken A/C unit. Our apartment was consistently 90+ degrees. After almost 5 days of no air conditioning they were able to bring in a crane to install a new A/C unit. They only replaced the A/C unit when we threatened legal action. The attitude of the staff was very uncaring and lackadaisical. We requested a different apartment while we awaited repairs, to which they refused. We were forced to get a hotel for a few days which they eventually compensated us for. In short: nice location but MG Properties couldnt manage their way out of a paper bag.

Been living here for 3 years now. Apartments were very poorly made. I have had probably around 8 to 9 maintenance requests since my time here, most have been water related. For the most part, maintenance was slow in addressing my problems and I had to fix some of it myself while waiting for them to show up. Maintenance crews also left my door wide open after they finished a job.Rent is absurdly high after the new company came in and bought the property. I pay more for this apartment than I could for a house payment. My garage assigned to my apartment is too small for my truck and they would not negotiate cheaper rent for me to not use that garage.Their rent payment company charges you to pay rent! Dont be fooled by the renovations, they are surface level only and do not address the deeper problems in this apartment complex. Whoever originally built this place built it cheap and poorly. The water mains here constantly break and my apartment even flooded once because the toilet broke. The staff was only marginally helpful in addressing my concerns, as they would often claim it was not up to them to make decisions about the complex, it was up to their company which doesnt help me. Why do they bother having agents there if they cant do anything?I do not recommend this complex, especially after the enormous price hike in rent after the new company bought this property. My rent went from 858, to 906, to 1100 now not counting utilities or power bills for 860~ish sq ft.

Never in my life have I been as furious at two businesses as I am at Pinnacle Heights and Scotia Group, the property management group that owns the apartment complex. These two companies (Pinnacle and Scotia) epitomize the idea of greedy businesses that prioritize profit over people. .I had been dealing with health issues for roughly 6-7 months, but I was making the decision to push through that and move to Tucson from Phoenix to attend grad school at U of A. Unfortunately, two days after my wife and I signed our lease, everything changed.About three weeks before that, I started noticing some pretty drastic changes in my health. I lost 12 lbs (Im 6-3, 165, so I dont have a lot of extra weight to begin with). I also started experiencing new physical symptoms. My doctor knew my situation and strongly advised me to avoid stress for the sake of my health. When my wife and I signed our lease at Pinnacle Heights, we were still living in Phoenix, so we only moved in a couple boxes that we could fit in our car. We signed the lease on a Saturday evening and went to bring our boxes up to our new unit.It was a horror show. There were bugs everywhere. Two large roaches floated in the toilet. The blinds on several windows didnt work. Vinyl was peeling off countertops. The sink stopper looked moldy on the bottom. We were disgusted. We asked ourselves what kind of property would think an apartment in that condition was appropriate for a new tenant. But thats just the start of the nightmare. In spite of everything, we still planned on moving in and getting the issues straightened out with management. Two days later, though, I had new insight/instructions from my doctor--avoid stress for the sake of my health.Needless to say, the thought of moving to a new city and attending grad school was causing a lot of stress, so my wife and I made the difficult decision to remain in our current apartment and postpone grad school. When we informed Pinnacle Heights of our decision, we were told we would be charged $4,000 on top of the $800 we paid when we moved in. There was no reasoning with them. They said we signed the lease, so that was it. They mentioned I could submit a doctors note, but there was no guarantee it would lower any costs. In my humble opinion, though, a doctors note should not have been necessary. They charged us nearly $5,000 to sign a piece of paper. We stepped foot in the apartment one time and only moved two tupperware containers into the unit. Two days later, life changed. My wife asked if we could negotiate the lease break to be reduced to just one extra month (as opposed to 4 extra months) given our circumstance, and the response was a firm and soulless no.Pinnacle Heights and Scotia Group knew full well they didnt provide any services to us. But because of a profit over people approach to business, they used our lease to rob us in a completely legal fashion. There was no human element. No understanding. No compassion. They saw my wife and I as ATMs, not people. My sincere hope is that this review will cause people to think twice about Pinnacle Heights and any other property managed by Scotia Group. They are very friendly up front, but if a situation goes south, be prepared for them to value your money over your humanity.

We lived there for a year after moving to Tucson from Seattle. What a beautiful complex! The units are well laid out, excellent staff and responsive. Perfect location, as you can enjoy the vistas of the Catalinas and Sabino Canyon. We only moved as the new tenants below us that moved in were serious chain smokers and our entire 2nd floor unit smelled of cigarettes. Besides that, we loved living there.

They will nickle and dime you to death here. After my first year there, they wanted to raise my rates by a couple hundred dollars. Even after you move away, they send you bills for bogus fees. I left feeling cheated. The place has bark scorpions, got stung more than once. I would NOT recommend this place.

I agree wholeheartedly with the other reviewers who state that the management and maintenance are VERY poor at Pinnacle Heights. My wife and I have literally been harassed by the management here and it has taken the maintenance department 7 times (yes, seven times) to try to repair a leak in our kitchen. There are also pool parties on the weekends with loud, blaring music that go on until 4 in the morning. Beautiful views and this could be a nice place, but it is not because of the people who work here. Buyer BEWARE!

**in response to the reply from the owner- I have made an attempt to communicate with the manager and regional supervisor. I have yet to hear back from either one. I would appreciate it if one of them made the effort to reply to my email or call me.**I have lived here for 4.5 years, and up until Scotia purchased the property in August 2018, I really had no complaints. I love the neighborhood and the community. The staff was great! The moment Scotia showed up, things began going downhill. Even after making a complaint to the manager, maintenance would not leave a notice that they had been in your apartment.Currently, they are renovating the clubhouse, office and fitness center. The residents were informed that renovations would begin today (March 18), but we were not informed that the fitness center would be closed beginning March 15. 90 days without the fitness center! I contacted the manager and a regional supervisor (I believe) regarding the fitness center, and have not gotten a response from either one.The current management, both on the property and at the regional level, do not show any care or concern for the residents.Rent is drastically increasing, and the updates are not worth the rent increase.A large number of residents have moved since Scotia purchased the property, and several are still moving out. They are desperate for residents; initially they were offering a $200 resident referral and recently they increased it to $400.It is unfortunate that this property is going downhill, as it was once a great place to live.**UPDATE** It has been a few days since I sent an email to the property manager and the regional supervisor. I have still not received a response. I believe that they have ignored my email. Poor customer service!!!

Office staff is very rude. Was thinking of getting an apartment there when I first saw it, but after being treated poorly by staff I will definitely not be getting an apartment there.

Ive lived here for 5 months and had horrible plumbing problems the whole time. After multiple visits from (the very nice) maintainance guys snaking the pipes, they finally called an outside plumber - who said I have a HUGE drainage issue/ big job and to wait to hear from the apartment manager. I patiently waited another week (mind you.. after months of having awful plumbing problems..) only to be told when I called to follow up (because I was so embarassed when house guests had to flush 4 times and then stand in a foot of dirty water from the previous person when shoewering) to be told the manager is on vacation for the next 3 days.. and you have two bathrooms so if you want the plumber to come back youl have to pay for it yourself! (?!?!) Ive been paying for 2 functioning bathrooms for many months and using the better (not great!) bathroom the whole time. But the manager has never called me personally and appaerntly will not be bothered. If you pay for two bathrooms and one functuions enought to be used then they dont have to fix anything...? I wouldnt recomment this place to an enemy.

My grandma came from LA and had limited time to rent an apartment and we saw Pinnacle Heights and walked in. Upon walking in we met Monica Smallwood, one of the leasing agents for the building. She greeted us with a smile and made us feel very comfortable, and she was eager to help us find an apartment. She explained the availability of the apartments in my grandmas desired floor plan and found us an one that was open in the time frame necessary for my grandmas move in date. The lantana two bedroom apartment was what my grandmother was looking for, and there was one available, which was perfect. But unfortunately my grandma could not take the apartment because there were stairs leading to the apartment and she has trouble climbing them (they were pretty steep and we also had trouble).Going back to the office, and telling Monica how disappointed we were that there were stairs, she thought outside the box and brought us to a three bedroom casita. She told us when it would be available, and it was the perfect time for my grandmas move in date! She showed us the model and it was perfect for what my grandma needed! We booked that apartment the next day because it was so perfect! You have an employee in Monica that is caring, accommodating, and knowledgeable. She is definitely an asset to your firm. She was one of the reasons we took the apartment, because she immediately made us feel at home.
