We lived here for 18 months and we had very few issues. Every time we encountered an issue, even if it was a minor one, Aventura was very responsive. Irma in Maintenence was quite professional and is very respectful of property if she has to enter your home. Glenda is wonderful and a wealth of information about the community. And, Brenda! What can I say? We had a situation arise and she was very willing to work with us to resolve it.Yes, the area of Tucson is questionable at best. You WILL hear a ton of sirens throughout the day and night, but you are about a half mile off the freeway. If you are on the west side of the community (Buildings 9-14), your biggest complaint will be the United Rental place right next door (they rent construction equipment) as they drop heavy items on the ground or on to trailers. The apartments are decent for the cost. We had a 1-bedroom apartment and it was quite small even for 2 people. I wish we had taken a 2-bedroom for the additional room for storage. Still, the community is relatively quiet. I do complain about tenants not picking up after their dogs (pay attention when you go do your laundry- BE CAREFUL to avoid excrement). Other than that, the community is worth it!

I actually really like these apartments. I have had issues but each time the office has quickly fixed it. My lease is almost up and i do plan to renew. I have a son and we feel very safe in these apartments!

The actual units are fine but the area is unsafe. There is barbed wire along the top of the fences on the edge of the complex but the front is left completely open, making it clear that the area is dangerous enough to put up wire but you will still be vulnerable. While questioning Glenda with the leasing office she claimed that the area was very safe and trailers surrounding the area were part of an elderly community but upon visiting that was clearly not the case. Glenda also claimed that security patrols the property at night while also describing a very safe community. Why do you need security presence in a safe community? Glenda is also an extremely predatory and aggressive leasing agent. She lists prices that are vastly higher than what is advertised on their website and websites that feature Aventura for a variety of fees and even suggested that a pet deposit is an investment (it is not). Glenda is constantly lying and embellishing the complex that really has nothing going for it. Several other complexes around Tucson offer similar prices and amenities, even though Glenda claims “you can’t beat the price at Aventura”. Just don’t do it, there is nothing redeeming about this complex.

My name is Isaac and I’ve stayed here in the aventura apartments for about 2 years now, the apartments are beautiful to walk around and I’ve never had any issues staying here. I see that other reviews say that this complex isn’t safe but I can say from my point of view I’ve never had any issues and the only people I see out in the middle of the night are the complex’s security. Definitely recommend becoming a tenant here it’s great for the price and a good place to call home.

It has been a nightmare from start to finish. The apartment I was given had many things that needed to get fixed. I emailed the front office and they were not responsive at all. I submitted the requests as well through the portal and nothing. I check the portal after a while and see that the status of my maintenance requests are changed to “complete” when no one ever contacted me. When my lease is up, I’m asked for a forwarding address and I provide that and a month later I still have not received my deposit. The girl with glasses I give my forwarding address puts a whole different address that I have no clue where she got that from. I call the office and I’m asking for the corporate number and Glenda says, “I’m not allowed to provide that information” and then the Community Director, Brenda, tries avoiding to provide the number after I ask for the corporate number. Under law, tenants are supposed to receive their deposits within 14 days and here I am trying to contact corporate and they do not answer either. Honestly do not move to Aventura Apartments. Worst experience and customer service ever.

If I could give 0 stars I would.Matnience are slow but also have no knowledge. They only can rig things because this place is so bad.Management never answers there phone. There 100% disrespectful. I got my car stolen from someone who lives in the complex and that is when I decided to leave. The responses I got from management was so unprofessional and rude. Also i was set to move out of my apartment and before I was going to return the keys I was going to clean the apartment . Unfortunately instead they had a random stove in my apartment and were already inside.l before I could do so before I even returned my keys. I believe that shouldn’t be allowed. Also kitchen and appliance are so cheaply made everything breaks and falls apartBy 2 months in.

I want to update the original review I wrote a number of days ago. I had mentioned that they didn’t respond very quickly to work request but since then, they have completed some of the work requests I submitted. There was one related to lighting and safety that they repaired in a professional manner. They contracted an outside party to troubleshoot the building electrical and then had their maintenance supervisor complete the work once the bigger issue was identified. My wife and I are thankful for their efforts on this.

My car broke down this afternoon and we parked it in front of this place. They ladies were so accommodating and welcoming to my daughter and I. They offered their air conditioned common area and cold water with us.Well sitting for nearly 75 minutes waiting for the tow truck I was able to witness their top-notch customer service skills both in person and on the telephone. It appeared to be a fairly clean area including a small business area with a few computers and even a room with some gym equipment.

My dad I moved in to these apartments about two years ago,. We have received nothing but great customer service from the leasing agent Marlene and the rest of aventura staff. She makes sure our work orders get done and she makes us feel that more than just resident, she makes us feel like family.I have witnessed the same treatment for the rest of the community as well. We will definitely re-new our lease.

Honestly I wouldnt have lefta starr. I needed a way to speak my side. Ive lived here almost 6 months and certain things has been asked to get fixed havent been gotten fixed until I get told today someone will be out tomorrow. Became a saftey concern towards my young child. They wont credit me and someone needs to get this said before somthing else goes wrong. The maintenance was rude when confronted about this. I have a young child and I know if anyone else has a young child who got hurt youd want the right thing done. It was the neglect and procrastination that lead to my son getting hurt & yet the are still making us wait. All they said was that he needed to be more careful. Im not going to allow them to get away with this. Right is right wrong is wrong & what theyve done too us is clearly Wrong!!!!

Maintenance is slow. I would say it takes an average of 1 week for them to get to your work order.Everything in this place is cheap from the paint on the counter tops to the plywood cabinets.Black mold - My husband and I found black mold growing on our window sill caused by the condensation that would leak from the poorly installed and cheap window. When we put in a work order nothing was done about this problem for a week. Maintenance came in the day we found it but all they did was seal around the window and claimed we were okay because my husband and I had already cleaned it. They didn’t bother checking if it had spread even though they claimed maintenance is trained to deal with the mold. It still took them a week after the initial incident to do any of the necessary actions. When they finally got to it, they took a chunk out of the wall which ended up being okay, then they proceeded to go into our bathroom and take out the fan with about 40 years of dust on it/patched with duct tape and replaced it because they thought the shower steam would travel and collect on the window since our fan apparently did not work and claimed there was no way it was the window.

I must say that the staff here, especially the site director, is friendly and very responsive, Unlike others reviews I have seen here, I do not have a problem with the Management or Apartment Staff. Whenever I have had a complaint or concern, they are quick to respond and, in general, they do try to resolve the issues that I have brought to their attention. But there-in lies the rub: there are many issues that I have to keep bringing to the attention of the staff, issues that I feel I should not have make them aware of on a weekly basis. Some of the problems are beyond the control of property management: these apartments are old and threadbare. Things are, in some cases, falling apart and are literally kept together with tape and wire. The kitchen cabinets in my unit are falling apart and the bathroom and kitchen counter tops are very unattractively worn, pitted and discolored. They did finally replace my kitchen counter tops after a year of complaining but, this was probably something that management had to clear with Weidner Inc (parent company) so I forgive them for the delay. The AC unit works ok-ish, but the AC units are old and inefficient and electricity bills are very high in the summer. The maintenance crew did try very hard to address my concerns but with their limited resources they ended up Jerry-rigging the mechanical closet where the AC unit is so that now it looks ugly and doesnt close properly. They did send out a pro AC/HVAC specialist to check the unit and he did improve the air conditioner quite a bit but this was after one full year of my complaints about the AC not blowing very cold air and taking hours to cool down the unit. Its true the they increase your rent with every signing which is terrible. The units, in my opinion, are not worth the price that is being charged due to the old, decapitated and worn-down state of the apartments. In addition, the grounds are not well kept. There is often, pretty much every day, trash, junk and discarded furniture on the grounds. People (tenants? non-tenants?) dump discarded mattresses, desks, couches etc by the dumpsters on property. Looks horrible. Makes me feel like Im living in an inner city blighted ghetto. I have brought this up with staff and they say they have no control over what people leave at the dumpsters and that maintenance does try to get rid of the just that piles up daily. But I have been complaining about a mattress that was left at the dumpster near my unit for WEEKS now and it is STILL there. The mattress has been getting wet and attracting insects, mosquitoes and vermin, not to mention the fact that its an eye-sore. In addition, there are several junk cars parked in the parking lot. Management says they can do nothing about the cars because the tenant says he uses that car. Apparently there is no limit to the number of cars one can store at the Aventura parking lot. Some tenants have several junk cars that they work on on the weekends. The cars consume valuable parking space (which is problematic when the parking lot is full) and they are an eye-sore. When I asked how many cars a tenant can park and leave unused (basically storage) in the parking lot, they said there is no upper limit. Basically, as mentioned above, Management is extremely responsive and quick to address small issues as they arise. However, quality of life issues like the falling apart cabinets and worn down vanity top, inefficient AC units and bulk trash on property, they seem helpless to resolve. Its true that the so called Jacuzzi is never hot but they pools are always clean. Overall, this would be a much better place to live if the units were renovated and management were more militant about trash and junk on property and on apartment balconies.

Everyday I am woken up by the neighbor from across the ways kids because she likes to let them play outside at 6AM while she sleeps inside (they scream & cry LOUD!) understandable that its not the apartments fault but after letting the parents & the apartments know, it has continued for the past 2 months (I work 6PM-2AM so its really quite pleasant). My apartment has always had a weird odor to it no matter how many times I clean with bleach & drown it in cleaning products, came to find out it was due to the neighbors under me (which I have lived here since July & only seen them a total of 4 times MAX & we are in Feb.) who have finally moved out after leaving their door open for 2-3 days just to air out the stench which affected all others. Neighbors moved out early as well due to the poor conditions of the smell & bugs that they have complained about many times. I myself moved in to an apartment where they do a crappy patch up job so my walls have off white polka dots, there was also a huge black stain in my carpet which they said they would take care of before my girlfriend & I moved in, which you could guess they didnt. So I had to go rent a carpet cleaner 3 times just to work that 1 stain out. My oven also never worked either which Ive been waiting on to be fixed. So if thats fine with you then this is the place to be!

BEWARE!!! These people are slumlords. Specifically Brenda Cruz. I don’t even know where to begin with this place so I guess I’ll start with the roach infested apartments. Embarrassingly enough, they rented us a unit that was not only disgusting and dirty but absolutely INFESTED with roaches. I’m every room, even inside my fridge. The office did absolutely nothing for 48 days in terms of getting pest control out to rectify the situation. Needless to say that 10 months into our lease we are still dodging roaches amongst many other major problems. We have put in countless work orders for things that are never fixed properly. A major issue of concern is that for 10 months we have complained that our front door does not close correctly or lock correctly. No one has fixed it yet. After 10 months of reasonably requesting the job get done right, I finally decided enough was enough and I called code enforcement. 10 days later I was served with a 10 day eviction notice. I want to add that Brenda Cruz waited for us to pay our rent in full before serving the retaliatory notice. I have since hired an attorney and will be taking these slumlords to court for damages.Save yourself the heartache and find another apartment. These just are not worth it.Maintenance is also the biggest joke around. One little short puny maintenance guy got in my face aggressively telling me “he wished he could hit me” after asking him to exit my apartment.I cannot stress this enough… THIS PLACE IS REALLY BAD!!
