I drove by and stopped for a tour. The ladies were very nice and gave my son and I a tour of the whole property. Their rooms were pretty good size and the area is pretty good. Would recommend

The apartments are nice, the grass and the flowers found all around are well watered and looked after. The pool area is especially nice, you forget you live in the desert. If theres any trash found around thats on the residents not doing their part. As long as you do your part youll be good.

I’ve been living here for about 3 years. I absolutely love it here! Lexi helped me with everything and she is the nicest person ever!! Maintenance and office staff are very friendly.

San Mateo is very poorly managed. The apartments are infested with rodents of all kinds. The staff is very rude and never help out. The laundry room never works. Walls are cracked, paint is chipping, all doors are crooked and can not close correctly, sinks, stoves and fridges dont work properly. This is overall an unexceptional place and can barely function as a normal apartment. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Pretty good apartment to be honest. The only problem I’ve ever had was a little bug issue, but the front office some professional exterminators out and it’s cleared up the problem since then. They have a good maintenance team that I always see is doing something productive. Good solid apartments that were built to last.

Overall nice experience living here. Lived here for four years and never had a problem the staff and maintenance couldn’t solve.

Dealt with Cristal at front office for a year in a half, I have nothing but great things to say about her. She was always very helpful and always went above and beyond for any of our concerns from day one.

The apartment complex is always beautiful and well taken care of, everyone is nice and helps eachother out a lot.

Maintance is good and anytime we asked for any workers help they responded fast, great and friendly workers all around. All areas are kept really clean and neat, gone to the pool and always have a great time and enjoy the time at the park with the family,

WHE HAVE BEEN HERE for almost 2 years and have been dealing with roaches and now rats they wont do anything about witch is why I am reaching out to the health department instead of helping there giving is 60 days to get out I do NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE

RENTER BEWARE! San Mateo Apartments is a very poorly managed property. Once you sign your lease, any accommodation STOPS. Getting in touch with the front office is a difficult and aggravating experience to say the least, work orders/maintenance calls take many days to be fulfilled and are done sloppily/unprofessionally. The property photos they provide on the website are of the courtyard only, if your apartment doesnt face the courtyard then youre looking at a crumbling and stained parking lot and parched and littered desert landscape. The model apartments are NOT the same as what you will be living in, so for your own sake have them show you what apartment you will be actually getting. The A/C units are old and noisy, they sound like mini generators in the ceiling and are constantly needing repairs. The shower units are older cheap plastic stalls that creak loudly under your feet. There is no shade here, so your car will be baking in the sun during the day. Make sure you inquire about prior bedbug infestations in the apartment you will be getting if you decide to lease here along with mold problems. Bottom line, there are more organized, clean, caring, and less chaotic places to rent in Tucson. You Could Do Better!!

Monica is the reason I gave a 10. She was really attentive & went above & beyond in helping me get my 1st apt. She gave such a positive vibe & made me feel right at home even before I was approved. She really went out of her way to give me renting advice. All i can say is that if it wasnt for monica i wouldnt be here. So thank you very much monica!

Have two toddlers ac unit has been out for 5 months been stuck with a small ac unit for one room, every time people come out the next hour or so the ac is out again. And still making us pay full price for those 5 month without ac and rent is up like crazy in Feb and my ac unit is still acting up.

Lexi and group, I am really happy and satisfied with your customer service. Only thing I can suggest you guys keep the front of the office neat and clean. Other than everything is perfect!

Recently moved out of these apartments but I absolutely loved it! Lexi was my go to ever since me & my roommate had applied, she helped us with everything & made sure we were comfortable & made sure we were happy with our living situation! She’s very easy to talk to & VERY understandable! I would recommend these apartments to anyone, good prices & definitely talk to Lexi if you need any help with anything, she’s the best!!!!! 😊

Been here for about 3 years now and I like the comfortability and security of the apartments.Grounds are well kept and maintained on a regular (wish the blowers didn’t dirty my cars though😄).Gates close at a certain time every evening. Security guard on duty in the evening.Great staff and groundskeepers. All competent people. Shout out to Lexi, beautiful woman with a beautiful personality and she has been very helpful with any issues. She is a great asset for the apartments. Speak to her if you plan on moving in or live here and have any issues.

I recently just moved to these apartments can say they’re very clean and maintenance is very well with responding when you have a issue. Front office people are very nice and friendly. So far I’m enjoying my stay here 😊

I can not beleive how a company can do business when for one they never answer the phone. I called several days with no luck but an answering machine. Then once I got through to someone they were quoting prices from another apartment community because she was unsure what San Mateos prices were. I then asked her to please get the correct information or have someone call me back. It has been three days now without a return phone call. Obviously they must not need my business. Thanks for a horrible experience

The best thing that could have happened to these apartments has been the new gal Alexis! I went to her with my concerns and she had the issue resolved within the hour!Overall the apartments are not a bad place to live. Decent prices, clean landscaping, and now great staff.I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone!

Horrible place to live i NEVER can get someone in the office, emergency maintenance? there is NONE!!!!! even if it is an emergency. the maintenance people are very lazy if you call for something they come about a week later Maybe 4 days later and Im talking emergency leaking my AC being hot and smelling like its burning they literally dont care. I have a son who has a very serious medical problem and they do not care that hes just in the heat we cant always just go to a family members san meto is horrible

I recently moved into the San Mateo apartments and I love it already. My apartment was remodeled and super clean, I am very satisfied with my little home. 🏡 Not to mention the office people were really helpful, especially Assistant Manager Lexi Najera. She was kind and made me feel like I was making the right choice all along. She helped me through the whole process and walked me through everything step by step and was happy to do so. I highly recommend renting here. You’ll love it!

It was okay when we first move in. The lady that help us was really nice and involved. Then I guess management changed. The new receptionist was young and clueless. She never answered the phone. The rent kept moving up a couple dollars and they would sometimes leave notes on my door that I owed a balance. It got frustrating so when my lease was up I renewed it for 6 more months because I got busy and didnt find a new place in time. Then I got a new job so I was gonna buy out my contract which was $800. I went to the office and they said they LOST MY CONTRACT. I had my own copy but they lost theirs. Unprofessional all over that place. Expect the maintenance department was pretty decent. Its just a hassle living here.

UPDATE: still liked the place but for everyone who moved in before the set rates of utilities you will need to pay 2 months of missed utilities so watch how you pay and even if u all caught up once u move out u still owe two months of utilities so u won’t get your FULL deposit back ....this is what I was told by the many so I’m letting y’all know if u don’t ask questions u won’t know a thing till you move out ......I love It here, honestly I do! Im new in town and I moved here and it was best choice,the transition was smooth and everyone here are nice, polite,or cordial. The grounds are kept neat and when you have a problem they try to fix it as soon as possible and Im talk bout in general not just because youre new here. The managers and their team are always polite and try to do their best. Prices are good too.

I needed a place that was convenient for me to live quick and this was the place. Havent had much interaction with the maintenance. There was a few issues with the front office employees when I moved here however ive recently had the experience of working with a new staff member, Lexi. Shes very professional, courteous and enthusiastic about helping the residence here. She was very attentive and responsive when I spoke to her about some of my concerns. Instead of just brushing me off when I brought them up to her she gave me possible solutions. Definitely will be going directly to her if I ever need anything from here.

I have to say the overall service here has been good to me.. couple issues when first started but Lexi handled them well.. Not to mention she really Cute.. :) so far I am enjoying my stay here. They have resolved all issues Ive had so far..

I move in two weeks ago, love the apartment. This is a one bedroom with a big walking closet, nice kitchen and bathroom. Very convenient location, near I-10, schools and shopping areas.I want to thanks the office people and maintainance group, they are all excellent, but most of all to Lexi, that takes her time to help me with all my questions. They all work together to help me to move in on time before I start in my job.

Its a great place to move in when trying out living on your own for the 1st time. Only thing is I wish they would close the gates at night. Although there is security on the job at night which I appreciate. 😊

Went in to take a look at a few apartments despite the previous reviews and was greeted by a very helpful girl. She answered all of my questions and was very attentive, I look forward to living here!

We lived here for 3 months over the summer and overall it was ok. We had some issues and miscommunications when trying to move in, but they were resolved in an adequate manner. The apartment was not as nice as nice as we expected. The carpet smelled like a whole lot of nastiness. We were glad to be moving at the end of the summer.

I lived here for a year and it was the worst experience ever. To begin with the office staff, when I moved in a week later one of the leasing agents went and opened the door with the extra key the have and as soon as they opened the door she stated she made a mistake and closed the door. This incident happened twice while I lived here it was horrible. I felt every time, someone was just going to open the door and come in. The office staff was never there, when I had to pay my rent I would have to go to the office 5-6 times in a day. My contract was over and of course I was not going to renew. Now I received a bill that I owe 36 dollars and my security deposit wont be refunded, when I left I cleaned out the apartment and did not leave any damages. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. I had a very unpleasant stay while I was living here.

I wish i could give them no stars!. Maintenance was horrible they walked in a few times while I was asleep when I didnt answer the door. Management sucks! They charged us a fee when we tried to pay early and another fee when our lest ended on the 4th instead on the 1st. At the end our lest i tried returning the keys the office was closed on Sundays but sign in the front said they were open 12-5. Everything about this place sucked! Oh yeah and these apartments have mold in them as well.

This place was terrible. Starting with the staff. They were never friendly. Always different ppl in the office who didnt no anyything about anything. Then when i left they told me i owed the $200. When maintenance never came to fix things i put on my move in list that needed repairs. Well guess what. They wont be getting no more $$ from me....

I cannot begin to explain how grateful I am for Lexi Im a first time renter and shes helped me with so much and has been so attentive since day one which has made my moving precoces so much easier and I cannot thank her enough!

HONESTLY: I love the people, the staff, and the grounds being kept so well HOWEVER that doesnt change the fact they you all have a roach problem and IF I HAD THE MONEY TO MOVE I WOULD ASAP only due to the roaches. Yes i You DO HAVE SERVICES EVERY WEEK TO DEAL WITH THE ROACHES. But it isnt a permanent solution to get rid of them. The roaches come out the sink the tub drain and live in this old dishwasher .. YOU GUYS HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT DISHWASHERS NEED TO BE REPLACED AND NOT SIMPLY FIXED THE REASON IS FOR THINGS LIKE THIS. its a really old dishwasher thats been screwed into the floor so of course roaches will live in and under it ..it hasnt been replaced in years!!!!. Its so sickening. Ibe tried your way it doesnt stick if tried everything on my end and the roaches are still a problem.. Its to the point where i wont get anything like furniture because i dont wanna carey anybugs with me when i leave.might evem through my box spring away. I understabd that ypu all are limited to wat u can do because you SIMPLY work here. But this is a serious problem and its not fair for the price we have to pay while we live with roaches. Its gotten to the point where i refuse to do the the holiday . and this would have been my FURAT holiday in my own home. No i dont want to callor walk to the office to have a chat ..You all get soo mamy complants from other people alreadt and the ones u dont really here from are giving yall a chance and trying to fix the problem themselves since yall way didnt work. If you arent planning to replace my dishwasher OR TAKE IT OUT ALL TOGETHER i dont want to hear it. I dont even use a dishwasher(waste of water) .. Look i love this place but not for the roaches.. At first i had written an amazing review but i didnt think the roaches would get this bad.. BTW if u have dirty neighbors that live under you n on the side just forget even think about gettting rid of the roaches cause once they move out their bugs become ur problem. Sorry i really had high hopes but the roaches have yall beat. I know you all arent supposed to mention the roach problem first hand but now people know becauae its not fair at all. Ps living here for a lil while now.

She asked questions and took the time to assess all our needs . We felt valued because she truly showed that she wanted our bussiness ! Great customer service .

Place rips off their residents. They have a lot of bugs and roaches also. Once you are stuck in contract with them, dont expect to get out of it. They will hold you to it, regardless of your reason and then add additional time if you dont give them notice you are leaving. Even though your lease has ended. I dont recommend to anyone.

Lets cut to the chase my big brother was living here in apartments and after new years they were out of town, after my brother came back they went to his apartment and saw nothing meaning people actually came in the apartment and fricken took everything literaly everything even clothes. THIS IS THE WORST FRICKEN APARTMENT I EVER SAW IN MY ENTIRE LIFE UGHHH, and the most fustrating part is that no saw who it was like really not able to see a queen size bed coming down the stairs like Ughhh, Also theres alot of drug heads there

Lived right here for 1 year. The maintenance sucks, maintenance people always do stuff in bad mood and they never like when your report issues. and the manager they had was disrespectful, and Im calling her like that to not call her what she really was.
