So far the experience has been pleasant, the leasing office staff is incredibly nice and the events they put on are fun. I wish that the furniture in the unit was better maintained but other than that it is a very nice unit
Living at the Cottages the past two years has been great. The amount of bedroom and living space is amazing and free parking is also another huge benefit offered. The staff at the leasing office are always friendly and very helpful. I have relied on Alyssa Liebeskind at the leasing office quite a bit over the past few months. She is always very willing and happy to assist me with anything or answer any questions or concerns I may have!!
The Cottages at Tucson is wonderful place to live! I had lived there for all 4 years of college and personally I think the management is the best that it has ever been! Anytime I go to the office or reach out they are able to provide me with sufficient help! I give a ton of credit to Kiron who works very hard to ensure everyone is happy and their needs are being met. He has helped me throughout my years being there with anything and everything. He is attentive and takes into account our safety with the utmost importance. The rest of the office staff is super friendly and great at offering an exceptional experience that cannot be met at other student housing or apartments in Tucson. I repeat, the staff makes the housing experience amazing. The property is wonderful as well. They have a huge stretch of lawn where I am able to let me dog run around and enjoy the beautiful Arizona weather. The apartments themselves are super well kept and have ample amount of space where you dont feel on top of your roommates and fits the amount of people living in the unit. The pool is top notch and along with the jumbotron they have installed this area cannot be beat anywhere. I like how the staff lets everyone enjoy themselves and does not interrupt unless there is a lack of respect for any of the common areas or neighbors. Everyone who lives at the Cottages is super friendly and over the years I have made friends with just about all of my neighbors.I want to also give all the credit in the world to Nasario, who works maintenance at the property. This guy is amazing. One of the nicest and friendliest guys I have ever met. He will always go out of his way to try and help/take care of as much as he physically is able to. Any maintenance issue I have ever had was properly taken care of by this man as well as the rest of the staff. I sincerely wish that every single apartment had a Nasario because they would be much better off. This guy has an unbelievable level of customer service and the most amount of experience I have ever seen. The whole maintenance staff is awesome! They take care of everything!I will always remember my experience at the Cottages at Tucson. Once the new management took over I can definitely say that this experience was exceptionally better! Overall, great place to live! You will love it there and not regret it!
The Cottages in Tucson house college students from all over the world and as a parent of one of these students I am highly disappointed with the customer service and follow through from the management. There are many things broken and not working properly in this complex including the WiFi. My daughter has called many times, along with her room mates and neighbors about the WiFi not working and there are many excuses but it never gets fixed. This is a problem considering the students need WiFi to do just about everything they do in school and in their personal lives.Other problems include that safety is an issue and the side gate is broken. Instead of going out on Park street, the tenants have to turn left on 22nd street which is dangerous. This has been broken for a few months, after tenants repeatedly asking for it to be fixed. Also, there is a bug issue that never gets fixed. I don’t know why anyone would pay $800 a month (per tenant) to live here and we are not the only ones highly disappointed in this apartment complex. Don’t waste your time or money on this place- find somewhere else that maintains their property and cares about their tenants!
The air vents were never changed, the location is extremely sketchy and It’s common to hear gun shots or fireworks, tweakers broke into one of the apartments, the security guys were not pleasant, customer service was terrible this place is poorly managed/ran, one gate was broken forever and the side gate for pedestrians was always locked with a chain for no reason and I had to hop it every single day multiple times, and lastly they’re trying to charge me $325 fine because my roommates left all of their junk in the cabinets and they won’t respond to me or my dads dispute form or emails all we get is an automated “3rd notice to pay fine or we’re using a collection company”. For $800 a month you are not getting what you are paying for and we’re very unimpressed
Great pool. Great apartment. Even greater maintenance team! Jesse, Nassario, Carlos, and Angel are the best! They are always going out of their way to fix things for us and make sure all the amenities work. Cottages would not run without them! Since I have been here for the past year and a half, I have my go to crew at the front desk. Kiron, Rachel, and Meech (Dmitri), have always been helpful and quick to resolve any issues. Highly recommend for all to check out the lifestyle!
Love it here! I’ve been treated nicely by everyone and the manager Alex has always been so friendly and helpful!
I looked at this place to live and if COVID-19 didnt happen I would have signed here! They amenities are amazing and the encounters I had with the people at the front desk were awesome. David told me about all plus of living in the community like being able to have dogs and they even supply doggy bags. What I really liked was the shuttle that brings you to campus that runs every 30 minutes. 10/10 would recommend living here!
I’m going on my second year of living at the cottages and i have loved it! all of the people are friendly and the staff in the clubhouse never fail to get us what we need. damitre was one of my favorite people in office! he always greeted me with a smile and was super helpful!i will continue to recommend the cottages to my friends!
My son and I toured and checked out several places around Tucson before he decided that The Cottages were his top pick. I wish he was as indecisive about not going to UCLA, like I did, as he was about where he preferred to live. We spoke to Amber on the phone about scheduling a tour. It was a quick and easy process. You would be surprised how difficult it was just to tour other nearby residences. Amber also gave us a tour of The Cottages. She was delightful, knowledgeable and genuinely enjoyed showing us around. I was also pleasantly surprised by how nice the homes were along with the rest of the amenities.
Our daughter lives, here. When we moved her in, space feels more like a home with plenty of room for shared space but still accomdates everyones privacy in their own room and bathroom. It is conveniently still close to campus, but still retains easy access from freeway.
I have lived here for over a year and I love this place! I feel like when most people have issues with maintenance it is because they forget that ALL THE STUDENTS MOVE IN AT ONCE. Even though it is difficult to get to all of the high volume of orders, they still fix the maintenance request within 3 days of the order and the same day if it is an emergency. The management is so nice and willing to work with you. David has always helped me with any questions that I have. Rachel is almost always there at the front and is super sweet! Very nice front desk people and they ALL really want to have a relationship with you outside of their work, ask Amber about her adorable dogs. 10/10 would recommend this complex to anyone!!!
Have lived here for almost two years and I love it! The management team is super helpful and there is so much space in my unit!
This is my second year at The Cottages and I’ve enjoyed living here so much! The change in management last year was for the better. I wanted to note that Damitre was super helpful before and during move-in this year with any issues that I had!
I have lived at The Cottages for 2 years now and love it! I have made so many friends living here and the pool is so fun in the summer time! The staff is also always amazing and friendly. I highly suggest living here :)
Love the amenities and all the people at the front! They made me feel welcome as soon as I entered the office! My tour with Rachael was great and I look forward to living here in the spring.
The cottages are a great community and I highly recommend! Rachael toured my son and I and she did a phenomenal job. Anybody who is interested in a community near the U of A needs to stop by the cottages!
I lived at The Cottages for three years. I started living here when it was under different management and known as The Retreat. For the first two years, I felt as though the management didnt really care about us residents and constantly felt as though I had to deal with any issues (especially safety) on my own. Thankfully, this last year there was a change of management which made the WORLD of different for us residents. Right off the bat, the new property manager, Chris, made it known that his first priority was the residents. He listened to every concern we had (including a recent break-in) and made changes to the property IMMEDIATELY. Since then, not only have we had the best time living at The Cottages, but we also havent had a single concern about anything!!! Chris and the rest of the managers are extremely friendly and helpful and get things done right away! They love to get to know their residents and always treat you like a friend when they see you around the community and make sure youre doing well! Sadly, I graduated and am moving out of The Cottages but I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a great, fun, and safe place to live!
Perks include: Huge rooms, big 6x6.5, cottages, good prices, beautiful amenities, helpful staff, and helpful security!!
If you like a quiet environment, I dont recommend it here. There are often all-night parties here, and there is very loud music. It makes people very uncomfortable. There is also a big screen in the swimming pool playing video all night, and the sound is loud. I like the staff in the office are friendly, but the team cant solve some big problems. If you need to contact the manager, it usually takes a long time to reply to the email! By the way, parcels are often lost here too! You must read the residence contract carefully to prevent problems with the deal. This is a one-sided comment made during my one-year residence, but it is a real comment. I hope to help you a bit.
Thank you Amber for being the utmost professional during our tour of the apartments. She always had a big smile and knew the answers to each question we had. It’s a hard decision to choose the right place for your child to live In his first apartment but meeting her in the office definitely helped ease our concerns . Thanks again Amber!
Very unreliable. The unit was not cleaned before we moved in and my room was worse. The grounds are littered with trash and dog poop. Our air filters were not changed before we moved in and hadn’t been changed since April. The trash is not picked regularly and the mail is VERY unreliable. Just all around not worth the price you pay for just the room plus what you pay for water and electricity. The gates are almost always broken and the staff at the front desk are the least helpful with any issue you may have.
Great experience living here. Everyone in the office is great and the units are nice
Amber is such a sweet girl. Anytime that I have came to the office she has greeted me with a warm smile. She has always listened to my questions and concerns. I always look forward to seeing her!
Every time I come into the office I’m greeted my kindness and people that are more than happy help me out with what ever I need. One person in particular that is always happy to help me out is Amber. She’s a great help every time I come into the office and always goes out of her way to say hi.
Amber was super helpful when I asked her about the apartment complex. She was great with my parents and answering all the questions they asked. I would say this was one of the most warming tours I’ve had since I started going to school here! I recommend asking her for tours and to answer all the questions you have! :)
I received the deposit after 5 months.
The stress of moving your kid across country for school can be daunting. Making the decision on where they will live is a huge challenge. Is the place safe? Is it a good value? What kind if services and activities are available? The questions mount and you have to trust you gut and hope you were right. That is, unless you make a stop by the Retreat. These folks have it figured out. This gated community offers so many amenities, furnished condos, well-appointed, pool, student life activities and an INCREDIBLE staff. Stop in and talk to Cicely - she can tell you all about the Retreat and what its like to live there - because she does. We were so confident in the decision to lease there. Thanks, Cicely!
Best place to live in Tucson for UoA students!! Cheap with great amenities!
This has been my first few weeks living here and I have had a great time and experience so far. Damitre was really helpful when it came to move in day and helped me with a lot of the things I had questions on regarding my lock on the door and AC problems.
Chika helped me out and was so wonderful and patient with me. I had several questions about the property and she answered everything extensively and gave great detail. Her attitude was positive and great the whole time.
Great place to live!! I have had an amazing experience!
It was an amazing experience!! The tour of the complex was great Marlen was able to answer all of my questions and concerns. She greeted us with a smile and full of energy. Can’t wait to be part of the community.
Love the community, Marlen was very helpful and insightful on the tour! The houses are spacious and the appliances are brand new. Gives the kitchen a really nice look. Erin was super welcoming at the front desk, really upbeat environment!
If you want to be scammed and charged $1000s for nothing then live here!!! Oh and when you try to fix the false charges, they’ll just ignore you and pretend they lost all the paperwork 😋 good luck!
The community is Amazing, Marlen is very knowledgeable and responsive to my questions. The tour of the complex she gave us was exceptional. The apartments along with all of the amenities are great and I highly recommend this community to anyone!
Living at The Retreat is really fun! They have great service at the clubhouse and the maintenance team gets to the houses quickly. Gene and Adam work at the front desk and are always willing to help. They get jobs done quickly and are always super friendly. I would definitely recommend The Retreat to anyone who is looking for a place to live.
Overall The Retreat at Tucson is the most ideal place to live in Tucson for students. Their prices are reasonable and the houses are well worth the distance from campus. Its a perfect distance away from campus to where you actually feel like youre home and not stuck on campus . Aside from that, the staff is amazing. Gino and Dartise are two staff members that make living at the retreat also so great. Never have I lived in an apartment or housing complex where the staff actually genuinely cares and makes going into the housing office enjoyable. So thank you boys and thank you to the Retreat for making Tucson feel like home!
Living at the Retreat is great. The manager Autumn Romero is always on top of her work and really cares about her residents. She is always so happy and always solves any issues I have. Also, the maintenance is amazing! They are able to do anything, from changing light bulbs to fixing dish washers! I highly recommend living here.
First time signing a lease and I was skeptical at first signing when the property was just concrete slabs but an employee named Chika put me at ease and helped me guide through the whole process and made me feel right at home. She was always happy to answer questions and is very knowledgeable.
The office staff Gene, Adam, Dartise, and others are very helpful and attending to my needs. Anytime there is an issue they are friendly and professional. Having a 24/7 gym a few steps away from your house is amazing and constantly seeing security at night allows my to feel safe at all time. Living at the retreat has made my junior year so much fun!
Chika always gives a welcome experience, she made me feel right at home before we even talked about leasing options! Great place and area to look into .
Love living at the retreat. Not only do they offer great deals on living expenses but they have a great variety of amenities. The front office is always helpful and pleasant to talk to specifically Dartise. He’s helped me with any problems I’ve come across, and is always very welcoming and knows exactly what he’s doing!
I recently became a resident at the Retreat in Tucson and I can start by saying this place is amazing place to live! Property is well kept and clean. The manager Autumn is incredible very friendly and helpful and warming, she assisted me on my move in and always assist me in any concerns I may have. Will def recommend this property to others and looking forward to being a further tenant !
Amber at the leasing office is always super helpful and genuinely cares about each and every resident! She brightens up my day every time I get a package from the office :)
Gene made moving in here so easy and comfortable. He helped me with everything from answering questions, to getting small things inside my apartment fixed. I have had a great experience with the people and this place so far... Thank you!
Lived here for 2 years in a row. Honestly love living here. Of course the amenities are nice but I have seen management change a couple times and can honestly say ever since Autumn has been the manager I have been extremely pleased. She is extremely helpful, friendly, and you can tell she genuinely cares about the residents. There have been multiple improvements to the retreat and they have definitely been noticed. I receive instant feedback and help from Autumn whenever I had an issue. The maintenance has been extremely fast to help at any request. Also, the retreat is honestly not that far from campus, the shuttle is super convenient and I honestly ride my bike to campus sometimes. While will be graduating; my roommates are living here another year, because after a LOT of searching, the retreat offers the best package for the best price with a nice community feel.
Gino, went above and beyond with my move in. My parents were beyond impressed with his superior customer service skills. He truly made sure my move went perfectly. He even took the time to call us again, to make sure my mom and I liked everything. He represented the retreat so well. He is a huge asset to the retreat.
I just loved my experience at The Retreat! They offer nice, affordable, safe housing for students. The staff is just amazing and are always planning something we can do as a community. The pool is definitely nice because Arizona is hot. If something breaks in the house the hard working maintenance staff are just around the corner. One more thing it offers is a shuttle to campus which is just so convenient!
Other than the fact that my bike tire got stolen, I love living here! The staff is amazing and is always SO friendly. Dartise has been my go to employee, he’s always so helpful and makes your small issues feel like a top priority. My roommates and I also greatly enjoy the pool and I love how close it is to campus.
I absolutely love living here. The front desk really makes an effort to get to know all of their residents. Their monthly events are also a perk to living here.
I love living at the retreat! The office staff is super awesome. Theyre always nice and accommodating and even get to know their residents. When I go and pick up my packages they already know who I am and makes it so easy to get them. Theyre always so energetic in the office, I love everyone who works up there! Especially Dartise, he always helps me and never makes me feel like Im a bother!
Such an amazing place to live. I have been having a wonderful experience living at the Retreat. Ive been living here for over one year now, I love it here, the staff, great manager, and always caring with the well being of all residents. Do not hesitate if you are looking for a new place to live.
Amber, in the office was extremely helpful and knowledgable when answering my questions. She made the overall experience absolutely wonderful!
Really amazing place to live! I never had any problems, the apartment was great, the pool area is awesome, and the staff/management are super great and personable! Dartise always helped with whatever I needed and always has a great smile on his face!
The desk assistants are so friendly! Ask for Chika Obi, she made my transition smooth and stress free!
Loved living here! The cottages are roomy and cozy and the amenities are well worth it. The computer lab and study room come in handy when you dont feel like going to the Main Library and the shuttle service to campus was very reliable and on time! Autumn, the manager, is very friendly and caring and will help and fix any situation a resident is faced with! She helped me transfer units in a smooth manner and was very kind and understanding throughout the whole process. Any time an issue came up, she was always there to help me and I cant say the same about my past landlords/managers. Shes truly dedicated to her residents!! Maintenance is always very quick to fix any issue requests and the front office staff is very helpful, too! Overall, the place and location is very nice and I highly recommend living here!
Unfortunately, the majority of my experiences living at The Retreat were negative, and the fluctuation of management resulted in parts of the lease being broken many times, so Im eager to be moving out in what I hope will be the smoothest way possible (Ill be sure to update). In December 2017 we were robbed, but since I signed my lease to live there again before this happened I have been there for two years. Security serves little to no purpose, and when youre gone on breaks management will still put flyers in your door that scream Im not home (even though I suggested they not do this). Their new security requires you come to the front gate to let guests in (at 2 in the morning thats extremely dangerous to walk by yourself from a far distanced house). The unavoidable risk comes from living in a high-crime area, with violence and robberies occurring on the daily (but The Retreat will not inform you of these cases as they occur). In October we began submitting maintenance requests for a broken dryer. It physically worked, but took three times to dry the clothes (so expensive for utilities). They came and left MANY different times, even replacing the dryer twice. Come February, and we had to start taking our clothes to a Laundromat service because the dryer took four rounds on 70 minutes to dry (after five times we new it was a lost cause). While our electric bill increased, along with our Laundromat fees, they finally decided to check one more thing (after the fifth time, they said there was nothing more they could do). They found cups of water sitting in the dryer hose. I decided to email the manager asking for some sort of compensation for the bills we accrued over the months, and he replied that after speaking with maintenance, the issue was the hose was crammed as a result of us pushing it too far back (after two replacements?) and that our lint dryer was full (yeah maybe because we quit using it). Long story short, the Retreat results to quick unhelpful fixes until you have a long, drawn out problem, oftentimes jumping to the conclusion that it is the residents fault. While things stay remotely quiet when things are going well, that is not the case when you have a very fixable issue that a landlord should be more than happy to fix according to the lease that was signed. The office staff of college students are so nice and helpful when they are able to (like getting mail or getting you into contact with someone), but they are not able to fix the larger issues with this business. Shoutout to Delaney for being so helpful when I had issues, she should definitely be in a higher up position! However, management stays quiet unless its to advertise the new jumbo-tron at the pool even though the furniture in the homes has been dented, broken, scratched, and stained for years. And while Im sure I will be asked to go into further detail so they can rectify the situation as most businesses do for these kinds of reviews, some things must be laid to rest. Ill be sure to update the review accordingly with the move-out process!
Dartise is the the BEST!!! This place is awesome, Ive lived here for three years but this year has been the best one. Everyone at the office is amazing and they are the best mail organizers in the game. Would highly recommend this place.
I spoke to one staff member named Chika. She went above and beyond to answer all my questions and put my mind at ease. I’m probably going to end up signing here.
Amazing place to live as well as to enjoy yourself 24/7. Damitre is always there for you and will help you out with any problems you have!
Love living here! The place is really nice and in a great location to campus. Staff is amazing and everyone is super friendly. 10/10 would recommend Dartise at the front desk. Amazing.
I am impressed with all of the employees at The Retreat. From the very first phone call I made, to the move-in process and beyond. Every single employee I dealt with was helpful, courteous and professional.I have dealt with many “college apartment” entities in the past, and The Retreat has been the best I have ever encountered. Many thanks to you and your employees for making our move-in go so smoothly.
Amazing place to live. The experience living here is great, the staff and manager Autumn is amazing. She accommodates all residents and runs an exceptional complex. Id recommend living here because of what you get for the price and the awesome staff!
Delaney is truly one of the most hard working and wonderful people to see when you go into the office! Overall, everyone that works in the office is beyond great! Customer service, the free cookies, & and the cleanliness is fantastic!!! Keep up the good work y’all!
Damitre was terrific help and made my tour of the cottages at least 25% better.
Very Sad, Last year I would have given this place 100 stars if I could. The new management group that took over and renamed The Retreat The cottages has ruined this apartment complex. The bus is broken all the time and has been replaced by a van that fits 8 people so if you want to live here youre going to have to Uber a lot. The people at the front desk used to be so helpful and nice but the new ones just dont help at all. Lastly they will nickel and dime you for anything they can, expect final charges of $500+ for all sorts of fees. Very very unfortunate, it used to be such an amazing place to live.
Autumn Romero has been tremendous! Customer satisfaction to the fullest. I created a long lasting relationship with her as a person and as a General Manager. Whenever I needed something she made it happen. She was not only invested in me but in my well being. She always made sure I was taken care of.
This is my first year living in The Retreat and management has been amazing. When one of my roommates and I decided we wanted to move out Autumn met with us immediately to figure out the best solution. She has been completely hands on during the transferring process and is one of the easiest people to talk to. I plan on resigning my lease based on how nice and accommodating the managers all are, and most specifically because of how nice Autumn has been.
I went in for a tour today for my daughter for the fall. I really liked the pool and the amenities they offer. Apts are set up nicely too. The young woman at the front desk, Cicely, was very informative, super helpful and nice.
It being my third year living at The Retreat Tucson, I have had the opportunity to experience 3-4 general managers come and go. Our current general manager, Autumn Romero, has been one of the most helpful, kind, and committed managers the Retreat has yet to receive. Autumn has always been quick to get work orders completed anytime a problem arises. For example, the battery on our dead-bolt lock has recently become low making it difficult to unlock and lock our front door, when I went to the leasing office to talk to Autumn about it, she had our dead-bolt battery replaced within minutes. Autumn has made sure to hire the most friendly and helpful staff, which I find important because customer service is always essential to a successful company. Although The Retreat is not located in the best area, Autumn and our staff ensure that our gated community is both safe and clean for its residents. The community here at The Retreat is great, I have been able to meet some of my closest friends here. Being an owner of a Siberian Husky, The Retreat is by far the most convenient apartment complex for any pet owner due to the amount of space given in each cottage as well has the large grass strip allowing pets to comfortably walk and play. I find the rates for the cottages to be quite reasonable in comparison to the hub or Luna&Sol especially considering all of the amenities we are provided. Overall, my experience living here at The Retreat has been great.
My daughter recently moved into The Retreat, and LOVES it! The staff was nice, helpful and informative and made the move in process fun and exciting. Autumn really made me feel comfortable about the safety of the students. The facilities are great and we are excited about the year.
This Place is the best you can find i promise you that! living here is like living in a gated community, and i have had experiences in the past of not feeling secure and living here you have no worries what so ever! Plus Management in staff are beyond friendly and personable they truly care about you and are always available to listen to anything you need to say!
Ive lived here the last two years, and the experience has been amazing. Autumn the property manager and her staff have been very responsive and helpful to any issues Ive had. If I wasnt moving out of town, I would renew my lease just because of them. Autumn is constantly put in impossible situations, dealing with various college student feuds and other issues, and does an excellent job micromanaging all of them and treating all parties fairly.
The staff is super friendly and is always willing to offer help with any and all issues and questions. Love how welcoming everyone is here, especially Amber at the front desk!!
I toured with Marlen and she was amazing! She answered any questions I had during the tour and helped me out with every step throughout the application process.
More of a review on Dartise and Adam because they are amazing. They try their hardest to help you with anything you need and they are BOMB people. If you ever need anything be sure to ask them, they’re the best and will help you out for sure.
Kind of expensive but you get what you pay for.The overall quality of this place is amazing. The staff is also friendly which helps a lot. Marlen Carrillo was a overall awesome staff member who treated me nothing less than family.
Im an international student on exchange and originally i was living in an apartment complex, i then moved to the retreat because i loved how it is like a little community, great and easy place to meet new people, and very social. The resident manager Autumn really made everything a smooth, and easy process for me to move. would defs recommend - especially as an exchange student!
Outside area may appear to be slightly sketchy but the community is gated and I feel very safe here. Autumn the manager is incredible and the staff is very friendly and responsive to any concerns. My only issue is with the rent, it should be cheaper and then this place would attract many more students. Overall, would recommend to anyone.
Don’t live here they don’t care about their residence and places always come trashed.
Living at the retreat is the best, and I will definitely live here next year. Jene and Adam are always at the front desk, and they are always very helpful. The maintenance is very quick and will come as soon as possible, and all of the amenities are well kept.
Front desk is great! Amber, Marlen, and Chika always answer any questions and are always friendly!
I needed to move out of my house at the retreat ASAP. I went and spoke to the new manager Ameshea and she was super helpful. We sat down and talked about my situation and within 24 hours they had me in a new place ready to move into. I am really grateful that everything worked out and the whole team was really helpful. Delaney helped find the perfect unit for me. Really appreciated everything they did for me. Loving the management team with all its new faces!
Gene and Dartise have helped me with so much. They have put in so much hard work for my apartment and my personal well being. I have been very home sick and lonely so they have been so kind, welcoming, and wonderful. They always have a smile on their face in any situation. The customer service they deliver is so great, if it were me I would’ve ripped my head off for all the stuff they have to deal with. I appreciate all their dedication and hard work.
Been here for a year and renewed my lease for another year. Great office staff, love the cottage lifestyle. Met lots of great neighbors and doggos! Great place to not feel lonely, yet enough space to not be in anyones way.
DO NOT LIVE HERE! They do not care about there residents only want you to sign with them and then they will continue to screw you over with “late fees” even when you have payed on time and have a receipt of doing so. They make up rules as they go. There has been 3 shootings none of which were addressed just covered up. Maintenance has always been rude and When trying to address these issues we were given only excuses and blamed for there mistakes. Nothing but empty promises to screw you out of your money and living experience. Will be taking more action.
The retreat is the best place in the entire world to live thanks to Autumn. She is the sole reason for the beautiful and miraculous living here. Living here is peaceful and can also to party. 10/10 would recommend.
Rooms are great and big! There is so much space and a nice pool. Kitchen appliances sometimes break. The clubhouse is very nice and clean, they offer free coffee! The gym is small, and sometimes inconvenient when there are too many people.
As far as student living housing, this place is pretty nice. Amazing pool and nice clubhouse, and the houses are spacious. The Retreat is also always hosting events, which can be a fun thing to do. The only downside is that it can be sometimes difficult to get a hold of management, you just have to be persistent. The other downside is that its a little far from campus but they have a shuttle so thats manageable.
Gene was super helpful in walking us through finding an apartment and then processing our lease. Not only was he personable and knowledgeable he was on top of everything and got us the apartment we wanted. We had been through the ringer with many friendly but clueless folks at other apartment complexes that caused us to lose lots of money in app fees and caused unnecessary stress. Gene is the man! Thx Gene!!!
Ever since The cottages changed their management it has been all down, they have recently had a wifi problem and they have been lying to the residents that it is being fixed when they know it has not been even worked on, and they have the audacity of lying to the residents when asked, they don’t answer to emails or instagram messages regarding the subject… when I went to the office, they lied. It is just a messed up management right now. I totally regret renewing with them!
When I first looked at the retreat back in August 2018 marlen gave me my tour, she gave very detailed answers to any questions my dad and I had, and made sure that we felt comfortable through out the experience. Because of marlen I signed my lease in a matter of an hour due to knowing all I needed to know about the retreat.
I love living at The Retreat! I love that it is pet friendly and each house has so much space. I feel like it is a home, not just an apartment. All of the amenities are awesome and The Retreat does a great job at keeping the community enjoyable to live in.
Really great and nice place to live. The staff is friendly and helpful. I like having our own house and not having to share apartment walls
The service here was great! The employee Chika was especially helpful and kind to me!!
Such a great place to live. Autumn, the manager makes sure all of your needs are tended to and she tries to make sure you encounter no problems! All the maintenance staff works so hard to make sure your living conditions are right. The gated community makes sure you are safe as well as the security.
Really great apartment complex. Not too far from the retreat & they offer a lot. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this complex!
Fantastic place! Stevie is wonderful so is all of the staff. The manager Autumn is super helpful. The grounds are so nice and well maintained. The complex has great security and transportation to UofA. Dont bother looking at other housing options I looked at them all and this is by far the best place and at a very fair price also!
