In process of selling house and “not an expert-inspector” determined there was an issue with the furnace. Ed made a visit after hours in our time of emergency to run the diagnostics tests on the furnace only to find a safety switch was shorted, likely by Someone poking around in the furnace, who had visited the house during the summer months. The Switch was Ordered and replaced promptly, furnace was tested as was the emissions of Carbon Monoxide, to insure exchangers were not cracked or defective, and determined the furnace well into the safe range. He also tested the air conditioning between the input (return) and discharge (cold air feed) just outside the HVAC furnace/air conditioner, and determined the air was operating very efficiently! I have relied upon Dave’s Services for 30 years, always knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Thankful to all the team including Cheryl, Shawn and Ed for getting everything completed promptly and at a fair price!Dave’s Services will be receiving my business for a new HVAC system in our new-to-us home, when it is time to update.Thanks again for a job done quickly, and thoroughly!

By far, Daves Services was the best of the four HVAC contractors we interviewed. Only Jim spent three hours, answering all the questions, taking all the measurements needed to correctly size the system, and thoroughly explaining the process. J.J., the installer, is a perfectionist, and everything went just as Jim described. Jim returned after the installation and spent another hour going over the entire system to make sure we knew how to get the most out of it. Daves Services is a small company that really does make a priority of customer service.

We are so impressed with Dave’s Services. The lady that answers the phone has been so sweet each time we have called. The technician, Ed, is amazing! He was so friendly and easy to talk to. He never made me feel stupid with all of my (many) questions. He gave very thorough answers and explained everything in an understandable way. He fixed our furnace issues with great knowledge. He went above and beyond with some things, and he did clean and neat work. I was also impressed with how highly he spoke of the owner. It seems like a nice place that not only cares about the customers, but also the employees. That is so rare. Additionally, I feel like we got a fair price for what all Ed had to do and how long he spent with us. I will 100% recommend Dave’s Services to anyone and everyone I know!

Emailed them at 10 o’clock on a Monday night and they had someone here by Tuesday afternoon. Wasn’t even an hour later he had our air conditioning working and was gone. Great service!

The service technicians are friendly and honest. I have used this company for the past couple of years. The only issue I have is their scheduling policy. I had an appointment today scheduled about a month in advance and took time off work. I received a reminder phone call yesterday evening, but could not answer the phone. I was with a roofer getting an estimate on repairs at the time. I listened to the voicemail and it was reminder of the appointment. I get a call this morning while I was in the shower and a voicemail saying my appointment would have to be rescheduled. Seriously!!! No where in the voicemail the previous evening was it stated the appointment would be canceled if i did not call back!!I understand having a policy like that. I get that you don’t want to waste the technicians time if no one is home, BUT you need to make that policy ABSOLUTELY CLEAR up front. I would have called back first thing in the morning. In the future, please make this absolutely clear to all of your customers up front.I rescheduled, but you wasted my time this morning and now i have to take more time off for this!I give your service guys 5 stars, but the communication regarding scheduling needs work.

Sometimes they find things that are about to go out and will ask me if I want to fix it now or wait. I take their advice and fix it now as my furnace is older and parts break. I had a local company by the name of Ribbit completely hack a system up while attempting to install it in my home. After thousands of dollars, multiple visits back to my home I finally called Dave’s.Bryan was sent out to my home and I could not be more thankful that he was. I purchased a furnace for my previous home from another HVAC company in the area about two years ago, and almost pulled the trigger before I called Daves Services for a second opinion. Jim came to the house and was extremely thorough in his measurements, explaining equipment requirements and ensuring we understood the process. While the other company spent about 20 minutes in our home and gave us a verbal bid, Jim put a proposal together listing EIGHT written options with full pricing details (and less expensive than the quote I had to negotiate with the other company). While we were expecting 3-5 weeks before installation, Jim had the install team at our house within 5 days. Our experience with Daves services was second to none and I would recommend them to anyone.

We have had technicians out to our house to work on the furnace and the air conditioner a couple of times now. I have no problem providing my endorsement of the fine people at this business because they were everything you would want.They arrived on time, they were polite and looked you in the eye when they spoke to us. The y explained exactly what the issues were as they found them and kept us in the loop before proceeding with repairs. They got down to business after their arrival and got us back on track quickly.I felt like they charged us a fair price for the services too.We will only contact Daves from this point on. This is a great company. Replacing a complete HVAC system is terrifying and the whole staff at Dave’s is friendly and very knowledgeable. They made sure all of our questions were answered and didn’t make me feel stupid for not knowing things. They explained what they were going to do and why. They took so much care with my home that it seemed like they were doing this to their own house. I can’t express enough how nice it was to have a company that took so much time with us so that we were comfortable with the decision we made.

Everything was fine on our furnace, we called for them to come out and just do overall maintenance, the guy came out, said the furnace just needs replaced ($5,000-11,000) it’s too old, but said he’s confident it would get us through the winter. He dusted it out, and put new filter in - $122; within 24 our heat completely quit working. They said they wouldn’t be able to get back out for several days maybe a week, no promises. I talked them into coming the next morning, another guy came, said that the motor blew and needed replaced - $370, we were at work when he was fixing it, came home in the evening to a 47° house, after $500 and nothing was wrong before they came. They continued insisting on getting more money rather than offering the service to fix whatever was wrong. Turns out, nothing was wrong before, everything was fine, thanks to Another Great company who fixed what they broke for only $100 and they weren’t even from the area, and came same day. We have heat again and the same furnace which is actually in great shape, though aged. Aside from the lack of operation, the customer service was very low and unprofessional.

I am a retired contractor. I received 3 estimates for replacing our air conditioning. Jim Morlan was our sales person, but is also a great technician that gets the installation & sizing right. Their prices were better plus they included a 10 year labor warranty. JJ led the installation team and did a great job. I chose this company because they keep their staff trained and educated and it shows!

Be careful about getting estimates from this company....In the summer of 1993, my mother called this place to get an estimate for central air conditioning. They were SO BUSY they could not even schedule one for us. In 2003, my mother called this place again to get an estimate for a furnace with an humidifier. The same thing happened, and this company AGAIN was so busy they could not schedule us for an estimate. Because of this companys actions, they lost at least $5000. Lesson learned is not to ask for estimates from this company.

Daves Service has always been friendly, prompt with appointments, never left a mess. When I had a new furnace put in, the house was left clean, and old equipment was removed right away. I highly recommend them.

Our AC quit working and we called Dave’s. They came to our house and replaced our thermostat on the wall and charged us $300, they did no type of inspection of our AC unit or anything else. The next few days we kept experiencing the same issues with our AC. Called Dave’s again, only to be told we would be charged a second time for a problem that was never fixed in the first place. Would not recommend this company at all.

When it comes to heating and cooling, there arent any better. Prompt, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Dont waste your time calling anyone else.
