My technician, Ivan, was very friendly, courteous and on time. He worked to trouble shoot first the thermostat and blower motor and found that the capacitor was bad and replaced an arching coil in the outdoor A/C unit.Ivan did a great job cleaning the outdoor unit both inside the electrical panel and thoroughly rinsing off the condenser fins after the repair was completed.Great experience with Serene Comfort Heating, Cooling and Refrigeration.

While the tech was great. I loathe being charged 750 dollars for a 50 dollar part. Highway robbery and zero excuse for it.. 4x the rate sure but charging me that much is asinine emergency or not 7x the cost of the part is ridiculous

Only place to respond to me. My Lennox furnace & ac system was acting up. After a google search I found the hvac pros for Lennox at my home in Birmingham. On these cold Michigan nights my house was down to 50 within a few hours Serene Comfort and was out and repaired everything right off their truck. I was amazed to have parts with them and they were quick did a full system test and heating maintenance. Thank you, Ray is a true life saver.

I called for ac diagnostic on my air conditioner only to have a man show up and tell me my 34,000 BTU unit is incapable of cooling down my 1400 SQ ft home while the sun is up. Told me no unit will likely be enough. Anyone with Google knows it only take 24,000 BTU to cool house this size. Says pressure indicates no leak. So then why am I roasting whole paying $500 a month for electricity to run this unit all day?***update***After speaking with Serene about my displeasure with service they did agree to refund and referred me to specialist who handles manufactured homes. I just wish would have told me up front that they werent specialized in manufactured homes. However, their customer service did their job and made it right. So thank you Serene for that.

Called several places try and get my AC worked on the people at this company went out of their way to advise me I was getting a good deal. Even though they could not beat the quote that I already received they took time and talk with me and help me to understand what I should be looking for and not looking for, advising me they unfortunately could not beat the quote I was already given. Called for service on our air conditioner. The technician came out and thoroughly inspected the entire unit, Gave me an assessment of what it would take to bring the unit back to full operation. My wife just came home from the hospital after being admitted for a severe Asthma attack, the weather was in the high 90s this day and days to come. Had to have it repaired. Started my air conditioning system before the season started. It wasn’t kicking on outside, called Serene Comfort from a neighbors referral. I couldn’t be any happier with their repair. I have a home in Pontiac I just moved in and nobody would respond to me I tried 4 different companies and either very rude, expensive or unresponsive. I called and spoke to I believe John and he was very pleasant to deal with! Understanding that I have a daughter, dogs and a miserable freezing wife! John was able to schedule me an appointment right away! Ivan came out right on time and allowed me to watch him work the whole time, he even went in my attic! Weve had Serene Comfort HCR to our house for three different projects and they (specifically Ivan who weve requested for all 3 projects) have been nothing less than exceptional.I am finally taking the time to write a review and on Good Friday of all days during the #StayHome movement which itself is a highlight. After setting the appointment (2p - 4p) I realized I hadnt asked about their quarantine procedures and was assured that the technician would take all necessary precautions but that they would first FaceTime with us to determine whether they needed to enter the house. Received a call at 2p from Ivan who quickly determined he needed to enter the house. And once again he delivered (mask, gloves, booties).Another great visit and will continue to use Serene Comfort. This company is truly one of the top heating and cooling companies in my eyes. The technician came to my house and fixed my AC. The price was really reasonable and everything was working great when he left. I recommend this company to everyone.

Called to see if they could help me fix my furnace and the guy over the phone told me check if there was something stuck in the furnace fan. If they came and checked it out it would cost me some money but the guy was nice enough to offer some advice. I checked and there was a plastic bag stuck in the fan. Free advice and no charge for the help. Guy was very cool and professional.

After having problems with my furnace, I called Serene Comfort early in the morning to schedule a technician to come look at it. A very nice man asked me several questions over the phone and walked me through a couple things to check, and, sure enough, he was able to help me get it running - no service visit required. When I actually DO need a technician, Ill be sure to call these guys again. A class act all the way.

This company was the only that answered there phone. I was so relieved that they came out when they did. It was -8 degrees and I was worried about my pipes freezing. They came out and fixed the problem. The prices were very reasonable. Great company, great service.

I called Serene Comfort the hottest day of the year. They told they couldnt have anyoneout until 11:45-2:45. At about 1:30 I was becomming concerned. At 2 oclock they called and told me they would be there 2:45-3:15. At 3:10 they called and told me theywere 29 minutes away. They showed up at 3:40. Ivan fixed my air conditioner and the charge was in the ball park of what I thought it was going to cost. Thank you Serene Comfort

It was -8 degrees outside and when we came home at 10 pm our furnace was not working.The house was in the 50s. I called 5 companies that night. Only Serene Comfort answered their phone. They were able to send a tech out late that night. The furnace tech call that he would arrived just after 2 am. He was very professional and fixed the problem quickly, checked out the furnace and fixed another problem. The price was fair for a emergency after midnight call. They had all the parts in the truck and the parts prices were reasonable.None of the major furnace companies answered their phones.

Repair quality is good.quoted for $85 from their office but there was a misunderstanding that I thought its diagnose plus labor. When technician arrived and took a look, found out no new part is needed, just need to unclog the drain line. but turned out that $85 is just for diagnose, plus $100 dollar since we are using CO2 equipment. Technician told me either pay $185 to repair or pay $85 diagnose and I leave. Shocked by his attitude.So, keep in mind to talk clearly on cost.

Come out charge 85.00 service charge did test one thing just quoted high prices for smart value 13.80 and pressure switch 390.00 almost 18 hundred dollars for what I would not recommend this company to anybody rip off way to high look up parts way to high all labor stay away from them

Furnace went out on Christmas Eve, called around and Serene Comfort was one of the few who has an opening for service call during the day, also the cheapest emergency service call charge. Turned out my furnaces ignitor was broken. The tech (who BTW was pleasant and engaging), replaced the ignitor and the final cost came up to be quite hefty, mainly due to the hefty replacement part price. A little googling later revealed that he charged 10x the typical price of a furnace ignitor (check it out yourself and yes, thats what he quoted). Im satisfied that they fixed my furnace and got it up and running, but majorly miffed that I got hosed with what I consider extreme markup of the replacement part.

So, the crew which cleaned our air ducts and furnace somehow shut the furnace panels and caught the thermostat wire in the door which caused the stat to malfunction. This wasnt apparent until carefully looking after removing the panels to reveal the strangled wire. Long story short, when I called this guy at 9 pm on a Friday with temps at 15F, he just told me to look for irregularities and cycle the furnace on and off. Im a complete noob at this so he could have simply said Yeah, sounds like the capacitors gehoxagogen is framed up by the ramistan and charge me for the emergency diagnosis just for showing up. But he didnt, and instead took a few minutes to give me advice and was honest. Honest is good. Five stars in my book.
