I have been going to this gym for years (around 6 years) and recently it had a huge make over including the group fitness room. Adding fans really helps the air flow so much better. So the facility is top notch with the all the new refreshes! I have also been training with Matt Fox almost the same amount of years. He is the best trainer in my opinion and has really transformed me mentally and physically and always helps me meet and exceed my fitness goals. If you want a excellent consistent trainer he is the best bet. He will push you in a good way. He will make sure your form is perfect so that you wont injure yourself or allow you to heal faster. He always shows up and never leaves you hanging. Dont second guess your choice and try TFF and Matt Fox PT training for yourself.

I have been working with Matt Fox and have been extremely happy with the workouts he has been putting me through. He brings vast knowledge and creates a routine geared towards your goals. He takes the time to make sure you are doing any movement correctly and keeps each day interesting. Even when you aren’t on the clock with him, if he sees you at the gym he takes the time to correct anything you are doing wrong. He shows true care for his clients.On the gym front their remodel is top notch. For the price and what you are getting from the equipment it can’t be beat.

This is a quality gym with an attentive staff. They are mostly finished with a complete interior remodel and it looks amazing. All new equipment and exercise areas have completely changed the place. Ive been working with the head trainer, Matt Fox, and Ive found him incredibly knowledgeable with great energy. I would highly recommend that anyone interested in working with a trainer pay him a visit.

The remodel adds a great set of new equipment to help me get a thorough workout. The other members are so nice and friendly. I also like Ms. Vee at the front desk. She is so nice and always has a great and welcoming demeanor that it feels like you’re home. She was at the other location down the street and then was gone, so I was happy to see her here when I came here. She is the epitome of Great Customer Service!!

I’ve been going to TFF since 2015. I’ve never seen the gym look so good! The remodel and management change has been amazing! Love momma V and the staff. She especially is so great! Always saying hello and goodbye and has gotten back a family feel again when it was lost for a while! Will always come here to get my sweat on! 🙌🏻💪🏻

I’ve been a member at The Colony location for 7 years. I think it’s the best value in a gym in the area. Sure, it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of a 24 Hour Fitness but it doesn’t have a crazy price tag either. And it has everything that I use. I was actually happy with the old version but the new makeover is really nice. The all new equipment is taking some adjustments to get used to but overall a definite upgrade. It’s nice to see TFF investing in the TC location.

I’m leaving a 5 star review for master trainer Matt fox. He’s the 3rd trainer I’ve been to and hands down THE BEST! He is very informative and educates me as I learn about what works best for my body. He also listens to my needs and gives very informative input as to why or why not I should do a certain exercise etc. He also corrects me in the moment and I think it’s extremely important do correct a person as you are training to ensure they are doing it right- and most importantly so I can do it correctly on my own. I almost left TFF but because he is now my trainer I know I am in good hands and will be renewing my personal training sessions/contract with him. Thanks Matt. Oh and the updated gym is great!!! Also the Zumba classes with Paola are so much fun!!!

This gym has come a long way the new equipment is amazing and the staff is very friendly! Especially Veronica she used to work at the last location I went to and it was pleasant to see her over here when I started coming in always so kind!

Matt Fox is skilled and attentive. He is particularly good at adapting workouts to the skill levels of his clients or working with various disabilities. This attention and individualized approach helps all his clients succeed.

I was looking for a gym to join at the beginning of this year after the pandemic had put a pause to all of our lives for an excruciatingly long period of time. It was a daunting task because there were still lingering fears of how safe would it be to go into such an environment with a lot of unknowns to factor in. So I started at Texas Family Fitness on a trial basis and all my fears were quickly laid to rest after seeing all the precautions that were put in place here to create the safest possible environment that could be provided at the time. All the patrons also ensured to follow the safety measures which was great to see and very comforting. Along with my regular workouts, I attended a few of their Group X Classes, which in hindsight was probably the best decision I made because that kickstarted my fitness journey which has been going super strong ever since (keeping my fingers crossed cause I don’t wanna jinx it). They have a good variety of classes on offer & the instructors here are excellent at what they do & are very friendly as well. In fact the whole staff here is very welcoming & always greet you with a smiling face which makes a huge difference to the vibe of the entire place. I think that I found the perfect gym for myself wherein I found a community of positive people on the same journey as I am which makes me feel right at home. They certainly justify the title of ‘Family’ in their name because this place feels exactly like one at least to me. For the past month or so, they’ve been remodeling & I gotta say that it has started to look way more swankier. I especially love the new workout studio with the new lights and the much needed fans (won’t miss the extra sweating 😜)I guess they’d have to start calling it ‘Modern Family’ now 😄

I’m new to the gym world after having my son. I chose tff and I get to the front desk and I’m very welcomed by Huey. I finally decided to set up a training session and when I got here, I experienced more than what I had expected to get with my membership. I got to meet the new General Manager Ataleo Ford and he walked me through my entire workout and gave me the confidence I need in order to show up and reach my goals. If you want a great gym with a affordable rate, this location is the way to go. If you need a trainer, I got the pleasure to meeting and working with Allan and Nikki. I would give them a call.

Texas Family Fitness has really become a fitness mecca in the area. Offering premium equipment at low cost. More so than the facilities being top notch, the quality of the staff is unparalleled at this location. Maybe I am biased because I am a Master Trainer at Texas Family Fitness in The Colony, but take it from me, no other gym or fitness company offers what we provide. The remodel has really brought this place from a gym, into an all inclusive fitness experience. Evolution is paramount for getting results in fitness, and the facility itself is no exception, the remodel of this location is nothing short of extraordinary. I’ve never heard of a gym membership increasing membership fees. They have my email address and I wasn’t notified. They gym needs a thorough cleaning. It’s inexpensive and the location is great which is currently why we’re still there. We contacted the facility and was told that a message would be sent to their corporate offices to call us. Do you think we got a call? NOT

I just started back after a long absence, Good amount of equipment in good condition. Gets busy in the afternoon for after work and evenings. They do hold classes at this location but have not yet attended. Looking forward to many good sessions.

Overall a good facility for basic workout but can definitely use some improvements. Most TV on the treadmill do not work, not many options on the TV that do work (hardly has 3 -4 channels), bathrooms needs attentions. We were told that most company is investing is newer style equipments and that is why customers are charged such higher rates and paying additional fees on top of monthly fees but still have the old and outdated equipments.

Try to bully you into a contract and will not accept cash for month to month payments. They try and sell you in a cheaper month to month payment but want you to sigh a contact that allows them to charge you a fee once a year that the contact says they can increase or decrease without letting you know at any point. After running numbers it would be cheaper for me to get a membership at 24 hour and it’s a much nicer gymUpdate : the company responded saying they accept cash and that you don’t sigh anything that is false I’ve called and gone up there both times have been asked to sigh contracts and told cash and pre paid credit cards are not accepted by themRun far from them

We signed up last month to offset some of the other training that we do. We met the New Fitness Manager Nikki and she is Amazing. She took the time to get to know us, what we were looking for and offered suggestions for our routines. She was very professional, engaged in the conversation and truly made us feel at home.

Family fitness is a great and family friendly gym.

Texas Family Fitness has the worst Corporate back office administration that I have ever experienced. They never return phone calls and will not correct their mistakes. When I was overcharged it took months for a resolution. There were several times when I wanted to suspend my account but because of their delays I was charged extra unwanted amounts which they refused to reverse. Then when I decided to cancel my membership ... first they made it as difficult as possible (requiring me to drive to the location and sign forms) and second they did not cancel all the memberships for each of my family members as I requested which resulted in two additional months of charges. They were such a problem that at one point I offered to pay them $1,000 if they would just remove me and my family from their system and leave us alone.

First GYM, joined paid two months fees upfront . I was told I can cancel any time . Within 7 days I had pain in my spine so went to cancel. The customer service people were not ready to help and told me I would be charged another month fee as well as the annual fee. This is just using the GYM for 7 days only . Everyone you would be better taking the 15 days free pass . I trusted these people but they are just punishing there customer. It was a nightmare, won’t recommend Texas Family Fitness!!

There are a LOT of reasons as to why I enjoy TFF but perhaps the 2-3 biggest reasons are: 1) the training staff is friendly and willing to offer advice when asked about something, 2) typically you can work whatever muscle group you need, even if a particular station is occupied, and 3) the overall vibe of the place is positive

This gym is my favorite. Its not too busy you cant do what you need to do while there. Its not intimidating to the beginner like me.

Don’t ever join TX Family Fitness. If you cancel your membership they still charge you and will not give any grace. If call “corporate” no one helps you - each person talk to says will escalate to a Mgr. Never happens. There is no compassion for pandemic. I get it - they are a business and need to collect. But ridiculous to not follow up or “help” in any way. There is always “someone” that can override a “policy”.This place has high turnover of staff. They are lazy and equipment is not kept up with.

Trainers are super friendly and personable. Facility is always clean and there is enough equipment that you can still get your workout even during peak hours.

I had a great experience at this gym! The new fitness manager, Nikki, is absolutely amazing. She made me feel welcome and it was like I’ve known her for years the first time we talked. I am overweight and a gym can be intimidating but the training staff there made me feel very comfortable.They structured my workouts in a way that made them very challenging but at a level that I could succeed. I am seeing real results for the first time in years!!!!! I can’t say enough good things about this club and their training staff!!!

Run as fast as you can away from this gym!!!!!!!!!!! I was charged double for my membership two months in a row and no one at corporate could figure out why. By the way they are the worst!!! Tara and Nicole are the names. Yes I remember. They take days to call you back if they even call back. I was also charged for the annual fee even though I cancelled my membership!!!!! My suggestions are find another gym and cancel your credit card to keep them from stealing your money!!

The gym is disgusting. They never clean it, there’s never any hand soap, never hand sanitizer. I have no choice but to go to this gym bc it’s the closest to my home and I hate it. I even called and complained about cleanliness and they still didn’t do anything after.

Texas Family Fitness of Little Elm, charged my account for membership and personal trainer fees in June of 2020, while it was frozen (for medical reasons). Despite my calls and NUMEROUS e-mails (even to Corporate), I have gotten ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE with regards to refunds!!! My E-mails aren’t even being responded to. It is now August of 2020, and there seems to be no end in sight to this issue. As a result, I would NEVER recommend Texas Family Fitness to anyone!!

This company is forcing customers to visit public places during a pandemic. The only way to cancel is to go into the location or go the the post office to get a certified letter. Then they gave me a number to corp to talk about it and no one will answer the phone. Phone goes to an automated recording that the box is full.

Very reasonably priced but during the past 3 months the gym in Little Elm, TX has gotten very crowded and the machines are not as well maintained as they were previous to the since it became overcrowded.

👎LACKING ORGANIZATION SKILLS AND👎DEMONSTRATION OF TRULY VALUING THE TIME OF THEIR CLIENTS!!I just started my membership at this gym and I am already p/o. I had an appointment at 11am to meet with Jess (lead trainer), and she never showed. When I checked in I told the clerk behind the counter that I had an 11am appointment (I was 7 minutes early). I asked if I should have a seat and wait. She responded by saying that Jess would come find me, and that I can workout while I waited. Well 15 minutes later, I’m still waiting-so I go back to the desk and ask for Jess. The young lady/clerk/person at the front desk says “Oh, I’ll go let her know.” What!?! 😡You’ll go let her know!?! ...was my thought. When she returned...still no Jess. So, I’m P/O 😡😡😡now! Then they ask who helped me when I signed up; I told them Mike. I saw him at the front desk, but no one said anything to him after I told them. During this time I’m sitting in the red waiting chairs.I decided I had enough and just decided to go-so I confirmed my next appointment for the 31st. Meanwhile, I was told that Jess was coming. While I’m at the desk Mike walks over looks at the appointment/GPS schedule and finds both of my appointments. I also showed him the text messages that confirmed my appointment for the day.I confirmed my appointment for the 31st and told them I will not wait to meet with Jess for today’s appointment.I am going to stay with the gym for now, because of my goals this summer, and the gym’s equipment is nice, and I signed up for a competition. Had it not been for the competition and setting goals I would withdraw. The location is convenient and I don’t like how the other gym that is closer to me looks, and the equipment is dated. I can limit my interaction with the disorganized staff-after my competition. Until then I will have to suck it up.THIS STAFF HAS SHOWN A LACK OF ABILITY TO ADHERE TO A SCHEDULE AND HOW TO MAINTAIN ORGANIZATION OF A PRESET SCHEDULE.

Great friendly staff greet you each time you visit. I recently had some issues with my membership that another location messed up. After always having a pleasant experience with this location, I called for help. I had someone immediately help and clean up the other locations mess. Thank you! Wish I still lived close to this location to give them my business!

Was told that my son would be able to use my membership as a guest anytime of day. As long as I have gone that day but was lied to by the sales associate. Told the front desk and a trainer but was told he had to be with me to get guest privileges. They seemed not to care to correct the misinformation given to me. Very poor customer service I wouldve been willing to pay for a membership if I was compensated with some form of discount. But fitness connection is coming to the colony and will shut this place down.

I cancelled the membership on 6/25 which is good until 7/12 but they said they will charge another month of 7/12 thru 8/12. This company policy need to be corrected by the management. Very rip off!

Just had a very very bad experience at the west Frisco location. My wife recently unexpectedly passed away and I called to cancel her membership. I was told on the phone I needed to come in. Asked if that was a joke and was told that it wasnt.Went to the location and was greeted, telling the front desk my errand to cancel due to my wife passing. Was told to wait while the manager, within earshot and saw me, finished up something on her computer. After what felt like 30 minutes but probably wasnt more than 5, she called me over and asked for phone number associated with account. Give it to her and she told me that my wife needed to be there to cancel!! Obviously upset, I presented a certificate of death that she took and disappeared.After a few minutes she returned and asked me to sign and that you wont charge anymore as a favor.If nothing else, I urge you to change the process for this, as its traumatic and difficult enough as it is to go through as it is.

This place is amazing. It is not the newest one and a little older. But everyone from front desk people, to trainers are amazing. I have meet amazing people here who share a passion for health and fitness. Not to mention you can use theirs showers and locker rooms and are taking a positive step forward in moving past flu season. God bless texas and God bless texas family fitness.Also to add. I love this gym I am unable to work out in a mask seeing as how I actually “use” the gym. There is no bs here. People are allowed to work out. If you are scared of the flu please stay home. I have only ever had the please calm it down from these people which I can understand because I am very intense and they say it in the kindest and sometimes funniest way to me. A lot of people seem to be coming in and out of employment here but the core ones that I always make a point to say high to is what makes this experience just that much better.

Employees are nice and considerate. When entering and leaving they always acknowledge you with a smile.Unfortunately I had to cancel my membership due to relocation. Alex helped me to cancel my membership conveniently. He first recommended me a freeze to the account but I had to decline and he was professional on handling the membership cancellation providing me all the details.As a year member to this gym I would recommend this gym for the value and professionalism from the staffs.

I love this gym, just wish it had a sauna. There’s plenty of machines for all especially during the busy times. My son enjoys his time in the daycare center while I work out.

The local staff is friendly and helpful. However, this is a gym in distress. They have cut back on cleaning services and maintenance. Lights are out, equipment is rarely cleaned, and attaching devices to the column machine have been in disrepair for over a year. I have asked local management to attend to these issues with no resolve. Apparently corporate management is the barrier to improvement. I recommend you pass on this facility for your fitness program and look to a more well kept and managed organization.

Requiring a 30 notice to cancel during a pandemic is crazy. They reopened on 5-18-20 and I was charged annuals fees on 6-10-20 even though I havent been to the gym since March. If they were fair they would of extended the annual fee date by the number of days they were closed. In order to cancel they require an in person visit or to mail a physical letter. They are allowed to email us directions but the customer cant email to cancel, the definition of shady business practices. While other companies keep us safe, they are willfully encouraging the spread of coronovirus. These guys are money hungry and show no compassion even during a pandemic.

After going here for almost a year I can not believe the way the lady at the front counter was treating people. Needless to say mine and all of the corporate memberships my company had are canceled... do not recommend

After the gyms shut down I did a guest pass for the one in coppell but this one is closer to me so I drove in the freaking rain to try this one out before making my decision to join and they turned me away saying I needed to drive to coppell.. i could understand if they were busy but it was pretty dead.. needles to say I Wont be signing up with this facility..

However. I went to the gym this morning and the person that opens normally was not there and the building is locked.A call was made to the Little Elm facility and they could not get ahold of the manager.Fist time this has happened

We put in a cancellation form in Oct. We had good intentions but never used the membership. We were not told we had to give a 30 day notice to cancel. (Apparently it is in the agreement we signed several years ago.) I kept getting notices voicemails and text messages that my membership would cancel if I didnt make a payment. No big deal, we wanted it to cancel, we filled out the cancellation form. Finally I got tired of being harrassed and called them back to see why it hadnt cancelled. I was told I still owed another month. Seriously, on a membership we paid for years but never used? Not cool on Texas Families part, however, I called Texas family to make the payment and spoke with the manager Veronica. She took my card over the phone. Then she proceeded to repeat my cc number back to me. Anyone in CS knows you NEVER write down a cc # nor do you repeat it back. She just gave anyone near her my cc #. This is how your cc get compromised. Now I am off to the bank to get a new card before this one is compromised. Any business that is that uncaring about a customers financial information should not be in business. Oh I might add I called Corporate and was put on hold for 15 min just to be told the Manager was not in. She had ran to the bank...Go figure...

Stay away from this company!Cancelling service with them, and having them bill you continuously for months is their MO. Mailed, contacted and cancelled in person and they still are refusing to acknowledge the cancellation of the service.Over the phone they are obnoxiously rude and tell the customer to resubmit the cancellation even when it had already been done. Incompetent headquarters and NO customer service.Grievance filed with Texas Attorney General and FTC. I am done playing games with them not getting my cancellation notice.

Just recently signed up. Brandon provided great service and a lot of information related to signing up and fitness. He gets 5 stars. My 3 stars is towards the headquarters and their unethical free 30 day pass on their website. Withholding information is wrong just to increase the amount of people who go in for more information on the free 30 days. They provide you with a 30 day free day pass, however, either Mondays, Wednesday and Sundays or Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays. Any other day you cant go in for free? You cant go in a consecutive 30 days which is what most people are assuming.Overall, the gym is nice and provides me with exactly what I need. Ask for Brandon if you want great service!

Everything has been ok with this gym. My issue is now with the COVID-19 situation, they still require you to show up in person to cancel a membership. If you cant or wont do that, they require a certified letter be sent, which requires an outing to the post office. Why not just make exceptions in these difficult times? Not a fan anymore.

Dont buy into this scam, they omit information until you sign up! The way I was treated by the staff and customer support was truly appalling. They are disrespectful, and they keep redirecting you to other people to help solve your problem which in the end never gets solved.I explained that I am a tourist who wants to train for 2 weeks, (then I was away for 3 weeks), and then train another 2 weeks. The person who advised me was new and not qualified to answer my questions. Because of this I was mislead by his statements and ended up having monthly payments withdrawn from my account without being informed. I was also told I could pause my subscription immediately and for any duration (once again not true). I was told I could have 1 free personal training session each month, once again a lie.I was also not informed of a 50 or so dollar annual fee however I managed to get that fee cancelled. In any case they made me pay 2 months for of gym membership when I only trained for 2 weeks. They admitted that the person who advised me was new and not trained properly. However even after speaking to customer service they would not refund me at all despite admitting that their employee was wrong, and they were completely unapologetic about it too!

Terrible gym very small space not alot of room to workout and is very dirty their equipment is also very old now

I joined Texas Family Fitness based on a recommendation from a friend. I am impressed with the gym thats in our little unpretentious city, The Colony. They have a great variety of equipment, the place always seems clean and kept up, and its not an intimidating experience. I hired Dani as my PT so I could have a coach to teach me various exercises and machines. Shes knowledgeable and fun, provides good undivided attention, makes sure I understand the exercise, and that my body is accepting the challenge. I enjoy getting to see her because she gives me a good workout and takes my mind off a stressful day.

My fiance and I recently joined this gym and we are very impressed. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable and the environment is very welcoming. The childrens area is very fun and entertaining and they have so many different activities for the kids. My trainer, Nicole Bates, has helped me so much with starting my fitness training and helping me work towards my goals! I used to dread going to the gym but I find myself wanting to work out now thanks to her :)

This has been my gym on and off for a few years now. I was going to school out of state but used this gym when I was back on break. The staff was very accommodating with my schedule. They’re chill here. The company culture seems pretty relaxed in terms of locking people in as members. The staff are nice and the gym doesn’t smell or get noticeably dirty. Would recommend this gym 100%. The price cannot be beat.

The gym is sufficient for what you pay for.Clean and friendly staff. The biggest issue I face here is that they lack enough barbell clips which is really unsafe, especially for the heavy lifters... (maybe Im just a pansy?) Also, a lot of people like to take vars off the bench so they could definitely supply more barbells for those who want to use them for deadlifts, etc.

This gym Company keeps sending me emails knowing I am a dissatisfied former member (I never signed a direct agreement with them... they bought a contract from my gym that closed) Members be aware! This is one of the contract happy, fine print just to cheat you gyms. I noticed my credit card was charged and immediately called them. I NEVER signed a member agreement with this company AT ALL. I had NEVER been in ANY of their gyms. They bought my lifetime paid-up contract that only had an annual fee from a gym that closed. They say they notified me... why would I read mail from a gym I wasn’t a member of??? They wouldnt refund the charge made... even though Ive never even used their services based on the fact that my old gym contract said they had the right to transfer my gym to another one if they closed. SHADY PRACTICES and even if I would have considered moving to their gym, I would never sign a contract with them now. Sign up at your own risk! I had to pay their ransom to get out of the transfer.

We have been going to Texas Family Fitness for over a year now, and we love it! Its close, convenient and has everything we need. Recently I met trainer, Nicole Bates, and she is amazeballs!! Her story is inspiring, and she is easy to talk to. The sessions are affordable, and a good kick in the butt to keep my week going! I recommend getting a membership, and definitely ask for Nicole for your personal training! :)-Carlie

I had 3 memberships: Wife, son and I. My wife has been unable to go to the gym. She had to cancel because of this and gave a 3 weeks notice, we were charged for the 3 memberships. After calling to have my wifes fee ($10.81) reimbursed. I was bounced around to the GM, and then to corporate where I was refused. Due to no consideration that I would continue with my two other memberships. which totals out for $367.66 a year of my membership. I chose to let the memberships go. Greg (GM) was very understanding and I thank you for trying to resolve it. Customer service is a must in my eyes, Corporate did not take any consideration into the situation. I will never be a member for TFF ever again.

I would give zero stars to this establishment and have no idea how they stay in business. After cancelling my account they continued to bill me in which i had to cancel the transactions. Two years later they were still trying to bill me and then sent my data to collections. They do not have corporate assets or a phone number to resolve any issues, the customer service lacks any intuition of service acumen, and they will not do anything to help in any situation.Very low quality and poor establishment. Save your money and sign with a competitor, its worth not having the headache.

I really wanted to lose weight and tone up. I joined Texas Family Fitness and have been very impressed! They have a lot of equipment to choose from. They also have a great child care area that my kiddo can go play and I dont have to worry while I work out. I recently hired a trainer, Dani Nunley, and I LOVE her! Shes amazing! Shes taught me a lot of great new exercises and has pushed me to work out harder and more efficient than I even thought I was capable of! I would highly recommend her to anyone trying to reach certain work out goals. She is very sweet, knowledgeable, and motivational!
