Overall, a very (almost) quiet place to live. Some of the neighbors like to rev their noisyengines as they come around the corner, not TOO bad though. One problem:The owners seem unwilling to clean up, cut down, the trees that died during last winters storm and the place does look a bit trashed. Talking with the office doesnt do any good, they say, its the owners decision. That doesnt help. It still looks trashed out!
4.5 out of 5. Ive enjoyed living here for the past year. The neighbors are quiet, staff is helpful, and the property is fenced and feels safe. Chappell Hills has very nice landscaping and I really like the big trees. Theres a nice green area with round picnic tables in the back next to the woodlands and stream. My grandkids enjoyed playing there when they visited. My apartment is spacious and both the bedrooms have walk in closets. I havent had any delivered box stolen from my front door. I dock a half a star since you can hear the traffic from I-35 which is a couple blocks away. Its easy to tune out.Overall, its the nicest place Ive ever lived.
Lovely and very safe placeVery warmlyThe staff are friendly and fix every single problem that we have fast and very goodI love this place
We lived here for almost two years and had nothing but good experiences. The property is quiet and very well kept. Anytime we had an issue, maintenance was quick to reply and always so friendly! Management and office staff were always friendly and super helpful!Close to Scott and White and right off the interstate, yet tucked away and very quiet and private feeling. I recommend these apartments to anyone looking!
Ive been living here for about 3 years. The management is extremely professional. The maintenance guys are amazing. The pool is always crystal clear. The rent is affordable and its a quiet place to live. One of the best affordable places to live in Temple.
I’ve lived in six different apartment complexes since 1998 with two stints at Chappell Hill from 1998-2009 and again from 2018-2019. If I hadn’t bought a house I would still be there. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better run and maintained complex. You’ll not find better property management or maintenance staff than Chappell Hill. The management ladies go above and beyond to assist all residents. They are extremely friendly, competent and through and very willing to help. The maintenance staff will honestly listen to you for your ideas of what maybe wrong. But their fast, friendly and considerate to your rented home. The grounds at professionally maintained with a very appealing property all around. I really enjoyed my stays and the wonderful folks that keep it up and running. I loved living there!!!!
I absolutely love living here. The staff is very professional and the ladies in the office are so nice! They made my moving process easy. The property is well kept and beautiful with tons of mature trees. It is very quiet. I will be telling all my friends about Chappell Hill.
Extremely rude people, coming over to do pest control. In for one minute and then leaves. Doesnt even spray the whole apartment, just walks around not even doing the job correctly. When they knocked on my door it was in the most unprofessional manner I have never experienced this sort of unprofessional manner.
I stayed here for a short term lease in a furnished unit. The apartment was comfortable and had everything I needed. Application process was easy and quick. Close proximity to Baylor Scott and White and nearby restaurants and shopping.
Chappell Hill Apartments were great to work with. The front office staff, Bridget and Aubrey were awesome and always responded to requests immediately. The unit was clean and well maintained and the maintenance staff responded very quickly to any issues or requests such as installing a new best thermostat. The outdoor pool and overall complex were always clean and well maintained, and the fresh daily cookies in the front office were delicious. Overall great experience and would recommend this place to friends.
We were moving back home from out of state and had to choose our temporary place from there.. i must say the leasing process and move in was so smooth. They worked well with us, even when we were arriving after hours on a day the office was closed. Our apartment was great, very sound proofed for an apartment and we had a lovely spot near the creek. We saw a couple of snakes there which I understood was fairly common for living by the creek but we were just super careful when we walked our dog. The only complaint I would have is that the manager and asst manager were not friendly at all but we rarely had to deal with them. We got our deposits back minus very little for a small thing here or there. We were there about 7 months.
My experience here has been the best I think Temple could offer. And I will defiantly would refer anyone who is looking for a place for sure at anytime. I am pleased to say I have had no issues my year here. And your help with everything has always been above and beyond. Due to my experience here with Chappell Hill, I have decided to stay in the Temple area.Everything has always been A+ for me here. I highly recommend you and your staff with showing the utmost kindness, with prompt and helpful responses. This staff are amazing. And care about there tenants and the community. Alway courteous and kind.Thank you all so much! Highly recommended and kind. Speaks volumes
Great apartment complex with very nice staff. They have a nice pool and workout facility. The maintenance staff was always very prompt and happy to help. It is quiet and a great place to live.
I enjoyed my time living at Chappell Hill and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to live either short or long term.
The staff is so friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff is fantastic, gets things done quickly and efficiently.Great place to live.
Worst possible management. I do not recommend these apartments at all. They are all about the money and when you are leaving they will accuse you of things and charge you extra money no matter how much you have cleaned or even if nothing has been damaged. Despite of us paying them around 36K within last three years they still charged 500.00 more than our deposit for in their sense of damages. In fact they just want to make money out of people and will come up with anything.... I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THESE APARTMENTS TO ANYONE. PLEASE BE SMART AND DON’T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.
We have lived in four different apartment communities and this has by far remained our favorite. We lived here for one year and the facilities were always clean, management was reasonable and friendly, and our neighbors were quiet and polite. Maintenance was always quick to respond to work orders. One night, our water heater went out and the guy was there until after midnight replacing it. I told him he could go several times and just come back in the morning and he said, “No ma’am. They will not let me leave you without any hot water.” We received our deposit back upon move-out and we had reasonable wear and tear. We still talk about our year at Chappell Hill and what a good year that was for us. It felt like home.
Well we reached out to temple Office but there was no use...they didn’t do anything for us and we are still being charged the full amount. I sent email to the manager at temple office but there was nothing good came out of it. I strongly recommend not to spend any money on these apartments.
Edit to this review:I left a 1 star before but have changed it to a 4 star as i really appreciated that they didnt tow my moms car away and that they were patient in that aspect. This was the most difficult time of my life and I really needed that. So thank you.
Very unprofessional. I bunch of crooks.
This place is quiet, clean, and safe. The management is superb!! they address everything in a very nice and fast manner. They are very observant to make everything flawless! It really feels like home! :)
This place is great. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They do a great job with any maintenance issues as well as keeping the grounds well maintained. I live in an apartment right by the pool and my stairs lead right to it. Felt like my own personal pool and got tub. Everyone here is very nice, white, and never had any issues. Im going to miss it here. If I ever return to this area I would choose this place in a heartbeat. Great location. Quiet neighborhood. Loved it.
Not a lot of recent reviews, strangely. Chappell Hill has been an excellent place for my wife and me to have our first residence. Generally very quiet, quite safe (gated), pleasant appearance (both grounds and buildings/units) and right off 35 (the construction has not caused any problems that would detract from this convenience). The best part of Chappell Hill has been the cheerful staff, however. They are extremely helpful from move-in, to maintenance, even to advice on moving out if youre feeling like going somewhere else. Check out their website for more specific amenities that you may or may not appreciate, just know that there wont be any surprises - the staff clearly put a lot of effort into making living here a good experience, whether its your ideal living location or not.
If I could give this place a -10 I would whoever has hired the office manager Bridget I hope you see this because she is by far the rudest person I have ever spoken to and I will call higher management to make sure she is being delt with she is a pest to that apartment complex and I will not recommend anyone to live there ever again, she had a personal issue with me and handled it unprofessional and then when I moved out tried to tell me I owe $1000 for a carpet for one stain, I would recommend killeen before this place literally my worst experience everything in the apartment fell apart at the touch .
I had worst experience with these apartments. Management is extremely rude, unprofessional and only about ripping people off. I recently left the apartment and they charged me with $700 by saying that they had to replace the carpet. The carpet was stained only, nothing was torn or damaged. We didn’t have any kids in there, It only needed to be shampooed. To be honest these apartments are very very old, sooner or later things would need to be replaced but blaming everything on tenants is their specialty. They accused us in the past also about another apartment’s issue. I would strongly recommend not to spend your money on these apartments because at the end of the day you will be accused anything and everything...and would end up getting ripped off.
This place has been the worst experience! When we first moved in the shower was clogged, the next day a giant roach in the bathroom, after that all of our food in the freezer was ruined and we realized it was broken. It took a few days to replace because they are short staffed here. The BIGGEST reason this place is not recommended is because they are not child friendly here! We live on the second floor with a two year old. Let me start by saying the floors here are not the best. We walk in the kitchen and the refrigerator shakes and in the bedroom the dresser shakes and creeks loudly. Our two year old is a typical two year old. He does not bounce off the walls. Hes well behaved, but walks hard and may run around from time to time. All we can do is redirect his behaviors. He is two! Our neighbor is constantly complaining over our two year old and maybe us walking too. It even escalated to the point where he called the police! When the police came we were all watching a movie on the couch! The police said he called 30 minutes prior to them coming and we were watching a movie for more than a half hour, so I dont understand what he was complaining about! Its getting to the point where we feel like we cant walk around our apartment or even be here or he will complain! We told the office that we have a two year old and if he happens to be loud we will redirect him. Thats all we can do. Hes not even loud all the time! Thats what is even more insane about it and living here!! This place is not well maintained, the floors creek and shake even when I walk and I have a two year old that can walk hard but not all the time. Im pregnant too. This makes me even more concerned for when my new child is born and becomes mobile. Whats my neighbor going to do. His hostility is really concerning and is starting to make me fear my childrens safety living here. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN!!!!!
The location of the apartments is ideal. Additionally, the staff have treated me so well. Everyone from the grounds crew to the office staff have really made me feel like this is home to me. They have been very helpful and attentive. It really has made me feel like part of a family here.
Horrible management doesn’t care about the tenants just their money each month, and no security cameras to keep people safe. The apartments aren’t maintain the tub floods and the roaches are disgusting.
Management is so great. Safe neighborhood.
I cant stand the smoking here. Why have a no smoking zone but allow people to smoke.
Great place to stay
Best Apartment Complexes Ive lived in Ive lived in several — I moved into the Park at Chappell Hill in Aug 2017 and Chappell Hill in March 2020, same apartment complex and office. Over the year Ive lived in many apartments and this complex and the office are hands down the best. If I hadnt needed to moved for work Id still be there. In 2018 I had an accident and Briget and the maintenance staff went above and beyond with helping me and bringing me my packages. Briget and Audrey are in the office and are wonderful. The maintenance staff are always quick to reply and very helpful friendly, especially Oliver. The apartment, the grounds, the staff, everything...I cant say enough great things. Wonderful place to live.
