“Professionalism” simply does not exist here at Luxor. I have been coming to this nail salon for 5 months now, every two weeks (sometimes even with my partner) to get a fill in & a pedicure. My very first experience was horrible, the “manager” JOE attended me & his job was atrocious. So bad I had to come back within the week to repaint! For my follow up appointment (yes I gave them a second chance) I specified I wanted to see a different nail tech. I was assigned VAL & up until now (5 months later) I had no complaints for her. On Monday the 9th, I phoned to confirm my 3pm appointment with VAL. She confirmed, I arrived on time, & as I sit down she notifies me that JOE will “start my nails off”. To me, this meant he will remove the polish & that’s all. Suddenly, another person walks in & confirms she has a 3pm appointment with VAL… which sounded strange to me, since VAL only has 2 hands & I had confirmed my appointment for 3pm. The client sits in VALs chair & JOE begins to apply acrylic to my nails. This is now way more than “starting”. VAL begins to do the other persons nails. No communication has been had with ME about someone else doing my nails, but as a respectful adult, I decided to let the appointment play out & not say anything. I’m moved to the pedicure chair, & JOE has completed my fill in & now moves on to apply gel polish. I asked for a design of 00 & he clearly drew whatever on my ring finger. It’s only been 4 days since my horrible visit & my “gel” polish is all peeled off, not to mention the different square shapes if my nails. I feel very silly now to not have mentioned anything as the mess was occurring, but now that I have no polish on my nails & I’m heading to vacation, I figured writing this review will give guidance to other people to AVOID Luxor at all costs. The simple fact that not one employee could look me in the face and tell me my appointment had been screwed up, & for them to all know my bad experience with JOE just to force him upon me again, is just extremely unacceptable. I will be calling for a refund, because I do not want to step foot into that mess of nail salon again. JOE is the “boss” but in reality he sucks at his profession. VAL is an ok nail tech, but she bad mouths her clients when they walk out the door. If you’re looking for a LOYAL place to get your nails done, GO ELSEWHERE.

Absolutely wonderful service!! I went to Luxor Nails to have my first ever manicure, and the staff were all so lovely and welcoming!! They were able to answer all my questions and concerns about my nail health, as well. Definitely knowledgeable and skilled, I’d 100% recommend!!

I’ve been going to Valerie for 7 years for nails and eyebrow wax. She is excellent and I travel 45 minutes just for her. Recommend her highly!

I went here on a recommendation to try SNS Dip Nails and got a pedicure too. They did a great job with everything! Definitely a small place, but theyre all very friendly, they use sterilized tools and liners in the foot tubs. Valerie did a fantastic job on my dip nails (it was my first time trying them anywhere) and was very patient with me on picking my nail shape and color (youll be handed about 100 color swatches when you ask for dip nails). Valerie is one of the most meticulous nail techs Ive ever had, took her time with everything and really paid attention to detail. She is also extremely polite! Id definitely come back and highly recommend her, but her available time books up quickly and can be hard to get an appointment with. You may want to have another salon on backup, though—while I was here, they turned away another customer over the phone who wanted an appointment, and when I called back for my next appointment, they basically did the same to me, saying that no one was available for the next 3 days at a time that worked for when I needed my nails done.Ive read online reviews of dip nail techniques saying salons shouldnt dip fingers directly into the container, or pour the powder over and let it fall back in. These articles never explained a better alternative, though. They did dip my fingers into the main powder jars here, but I really dont understand how else a salon is expected to do this technique without wasting a ton of powder every time, which would make the treatment extremely expensive for the customer. They were sanitary in everything else they did, so personally, this didnt bother me too much. I just figured Id note it since I was looking for this information before I went and couldnt find it.

They always do a fantastic job with my SNS nails; they really take their time and my nails always look perfect. I also love that they use liners in the pedi tubs. Ive seen several different technicians, and the quality is always superb and they are all so friendly. 10/10 would recommend! If theyre full, definitely check out their sister location, The Nail Spot, they are just as good!!

I’ve been coming here for a while now and the staff is always super polite and friendly:) I’ve never seen the salon dirty and now with the pandemic that is super important!! My favorite part about coming here is that it’s always a nice quiet salon I can relax in! My pedicures always feel so good and never rushed which my feet really appreciate after working so many hours. Love this place and I’ll definitely keep coming back.

They told me this was matte, charged me extra for this top coat. As you can see, it clearly is not. Other than that my pedicure was nice and they did my daughter nails cute

I wont go anywhere else in Tampa for SNS/Dip Powder manicures. Valerie is simply the best. Ive been going to her for almost a year and my nails have never looked better!! Fun, friendly staff too. 10/10!

First time going there and both the lady and gentle man with the glasses were welcoming and attentive. I had a pedicure done and the lady did an excellent job. I am a very happy customer 😊

All associates were very courteous and paid great attention to detail. I had acrylics removed and a manicure to repair my nails after the removal, and my natural nails look fantastic, you wouldnt be able to tell there was any acrylics there previously. My pedicure to remove the gel polish was just as fantastic. They keep their tools very clean and are quick and efficient. Ill definitely be coming back for all my nail needs.

Ive been to Luxor 4x now. I get the SNS (dip) nail process. The color is consistent and my nails are healthier and stronger. I have had 3 different technicians. Each work a little differently however the end result is already beautiful. I am very sensitive to the removal process of the old color and filing of the nail. I speak up when it hurts and they are quick to adjust.

Great customer service! Did manicure plus dip powder and I’m glad I did it in Luxor Nails. I got exactly what I wanted! I recommend it and this will be were I go for now on, no more searching!Plus! Quite and relax environment 👌🏽

Luxor Nails is wonderful! The salon is spotless and they use a brand new kit for every client. The staff are very friendly and very talented. I go on a regular basis (I have a fantastic french gel manicure right now!) and recommend it without reservation. In addition to great nails, they also do top-notch eyebrow waxes. Im about to move away from the neighborhood and I will absolutely come back to Luxor every time I want my nails done.

I LOVE Luxor Nails. They always do an amazing job. They run a very clean salon. They use brand new files & implements with every customer. They even have liners in the pedicure bowls! This makes me feel very confident in their cleanliness. Plus, my nails always look awesome!

Walked in last minute for a pedicure not knowing their hours and they were so kind to me.I went to another place and they wouldnt take me at 3:30, mind you they closed at 5.Anyways, they were super generous in taking me and the guy that did my feet wasnt rushing even though they were closed, massage was good, pricing was great.If I didnt live so far, I would come here all the time. Highly recommend!!

Not a very clean place. Looks a little run down. The pedicure was so quick and rushed. I enjoy getting a pedicure, and a nice massage, but this is not the place to go!

Owner Valerie, Bebe, Angela and team are the best! They are so friendly and take their time in making sure your nails are perfect every time. Their priority is their clients and making sure all needs are met before working other clients and rushing you out like some nail salons. Come for SNS. I stopped by this place because of the great reviews. When I walked in, no one said anything to me initially. Then a woman with reddish hair asked me what I wanted and I said a gel polish. She asked if I wouldn’t mind waiting 30 minutes and I told her I didn’t mind. After about 10 minutes she started placing acetone and foil over my hands to take off my existing gel polish. After sitting for a while a different woman scraped off the existing gel. She manhandled my hands, and grabbed them roughly. Towards the end, she began putting lotion on my hands and I told her that I didn’t want a manicure only the polish. She said that since she had cut my cuticles, she had already done a manicure. I told her that I stated when I walked in that I only wanted polish and didn’t know what they constituted as a manicure since it was my first time there. She got angry when I told her that I would pay for the gel polish price and the cost to shape my nails (they charge $5 for particular nail shapes). She said that if I didn’t want to pay the gel manicure price then she could remove the polish from all of my nails. I told her again that I would pay for what I told her I wanted and the cost to shape my nails. She got upset and just walked away. The woman with the reddish hair (maybe owner?) apologized and charged me for what I initially asked for and the cost to shape my nails. I would NOT recommend this place or ever go back due to how rude that other woman was. She provided horrible customer service and then when the conflict occurred she acted like a child by saying she would remove all of the polish off of my hands and walked away. I’m giving two stars: 1 for the kindness of the reddish hair woman and 1 because I mostly like how my nails came out.

Love this salon. It’s small but nice and clean. They use liners and sterilized tools. I’ve been a faithful customer for at least a year now. I appreciate how they aren’t always changing staff.

This is the place for a decent manicure! Its best to call ahead and book an appointment, but Ive seen walk-ins get seated right away. Tiny parking lot in the front (2 or 3 spaces), but dont let that discourage you if theyre taken; theres plenty more in the back!

I was visiting from Atlanta and gave them a try and it was awesome! The guy with glasses did the best pedicure ever. It was very clean and professional. Will definitely visit again

I was in Tampa for the weekend on a mini vacation and stopped by this place today. I can definitely say I agree with the reviews. I absolutely love my nails and the techs made me feel comfortable and kept me laughing. I was impressed.

Ive had traditional pedicures and SNS manicures done at Luxor and theyve done a fantastic job every time. The owner, Valerie, is always so friendly as is the rest of the staff. They always make sure Im well taken care of. I drive from Apollo Beach with no hesitation to get my nails done. Highly recommend.

Was my first time going and decided to get SNS nails. Love it! Very clean, the technician was fast but did a great job with shaping and coloring my nails. Was very pleased with the work! Will definitely be going back again!

Luxor nails is top notch!! Very friendly staff that do beautiful work. They will go out of their way to make you happy. They have gel polish, traditional polish and the amazing SNS system in about 1 million colors. Give them a try you will not be disappointed!!

First and foremost the price doesnt equal the service. I have had better. Secondly it is the messiest french pedicure I have ever had. I let them know I really wasnt happy and they charged full price anyway. I had to go home and remove it. They shouldnt have charged extra for a bad job.

I was not happy with the nail salon I went to and was looking for a new place. After researching and reading reviews, I found Luxor Nails. I made an appt w/ Val for an SNS manicure as most of the reviews said to do. Im so glad I did because she did an amazing job and I received so many compliments on my nails! She was so gentle and meticulous! I promise, you will not be disappointed!Im not sure why there are any reviews less than 5 stars for them..

I only wanted to give you one star. I have given you 2 stars because my first 2 times in this place, I had a good experience. However, the last few times have not been so good. Today is defenetly the last time I will go to do my nails in this place. Usually, I get a pedicure and SNS.In the past, I have noticed that the lady who does my pedicure does not sterilize the metal tools after using them on my feet and nails. She cleans them with water and puts them back in the drawer. Now, imagine that you go to the dentist to clean your teeth and the metal tools that the dental hygienist uses have not been sterilized, and she used the same tools on the patient she had before you. Gross!! Shes putting your health at risk! This is the same thing this lady is doing by not sterilizing the nail tools. The foot and leg massage was not good either. All I could feel was her nails trying to cut into my skin.Then, when the other lady asked me to move to her station to start the SNS process on my nails, I noticed that the table was not clean or disinfected after finishing with the previous client. In addition to that, she buffed my natural nails so much, destroying the top layer of my nails to the point where they were hurting and almost touching the skin underneath. I complained and she did not stop!SNS is supposed to be good for the nails and help them grow and strengthen, but this lady ruined that process with her bad work. I could say that she was not an expert in that matter. Another lady ended up finishing my nails and did the best she could although my nails did not end up as smooth as they usually get and are also thinner than normal.It seems like the people in this salon are more concerned with working fast and taking more clients for the purpose of making more money which is great, but the quality of service that they are giving is becoming very poor.I am a very good customer. I will pay the amount that you ask, and if Im happy I bring new clients and give very nice tips. But when I do not get quality service, I say it. I no longer trust your service and will not return or send new clients your way.Please, take care of your clients health. Sterilize your tools before and after every use and make sure your stations are clean and sanitized before and after every client. Time for me to find a new nail salon; good luck to you all and thank you.

I have very sensitive hands and dread getting my nails serviced, but the tech that does my SNS manicure does a fabulous job handling my hands with care, I dont worry about cuticle nicks or over drilling of my natural nails. I wont go anywhere else but Luxor for my SNS mani.

This was my first time getting SNS organic nails. I drove 20 min but had to come back again because the polish on my fingers lasted as long as my pedicure and when Valerie took it off today my nails were stronger than they had been before I came. Im hooked. This is my new place.
