I just moved to Tampa about 6 months ago and struggled to find a nail salon that I really liked. Not anymore! Sky Nails is amazing. Mike really takes his time and is detail oriented. They are very clean and practicing Covid safety measures. I always enjoy my visits there and love the job they do!

I moved back to Tampa and have been searching for a permanent nail salon for sometime after a few bad experiences and I am so happy that I made the drive and finally found my spot! Mike did such an excellent job on my nails and took his time to make sure that they were perfect! I bite my nails and do have very damaged Nails to start with so it’s very difficult to put tips on my nails and make them look natural but Mike did it with ease and surpassed my expectations! The shop was also very clean and neat unlike other places I’ve been to so far so that was reassuring!

Mike has been doing my nails and he captures what I want, every time.

Hey everyone!Thanks for taking the time to read my review!I will start by saying I have been coming to Mike (the owner) for the last 4 years! I followed him to whatever salon hes worked at before he opened up his own business! Which is a huge accomplishment and much deserved! Hes always done a fantastic job on my nails! Whenever I get my nails done I always get compliments and asked where they get them done! He has done my prom nails, graduation nails, and wedding nails and everything in between and after. He takes his time and works to achieve the goal of suceeding expectations on customer service! I have also come to 1st Sky nails and got a pedicure. I would recommend the mint or citrus pedicure! They both leave you feeling refreshed and wonderful! I have never had any complaints here. have not worked with Aurora but I have had friends go to her and say she went above and beyond their expectations. All of the staff here is fantastic Ive had a couple of the other girls there do my pedicures and they did a beautiful job! You can tell they all work to make the experience a great one. Always felt welcomed and appreciated for my business! I now live in Saint Petersburg and I still drive 45-50 mins to get my nails done! If you have any doubt about coming here, I hope I sway you to give it a shot. I wouldnt recommend anywhere else!

Mike do a great job he really care about what you want, the other two girls make a amazing work with my husband and daughter I don’t go anywhere else but here.

My friend recommended this place to me. Im VERY particular about my nails and the work done. I was going to pure nail bar but they were expensive for what they give. I got a pedicure and it was absolutely amazing!!! I paid $35 and the value of what I got for that price was incredible. I got the cucumber melon pedicure and it included a paraffin dip which I love! Its so hard to find a nail salon that even does paraffin seems like nobody has it anymore. She put fresh cucumbers on my legs and wrapped them in hot towels. The whole experience was so relaxing. Found my new nail salon :)

I moved to Tampa about half a year ago and this has been the best salon experience Ive had yet. The owners were very friendly and took their time to do an amazing job with my pedicure and manicure. The conversation was also nice and fun, a relief from the current state of the world. I will definitely be back!

I’ve been coming to 1st Sky Nails for almost a year. My nails always look gorgeous. I’ve done gel, acrylics, and even regular polish on my toes. Mike takes excellent care of me, my family, and my friends. He is meticulous in caring for my nails and always makes sure I’m 100% satisfied. You will not be disappointed with your service here.

I came here yesterday after work because of all the good reviews. Mike hooked me up with fabulous nails that are the perfect shape and thickness. I was rushing him but he still did great. I also got a pedi which was amazing as well. I will for sure return again.

I’ve been looking for a new nail salon since I just moved to the area five months ago. I’ve been driving to Orlando (that’s right!!!) to get my nails done because that’s how extreme I am when it comes to quality and satisfaction. Ive tried multiple places around my area but they all failed! I googled and found Skye Nails had great ratings and decided to put Mike to the test... after all, they say that “Trouble Mike” is the real deal! Last Friday I called for an appointment and spoke with Mike. He told me to come right in (30mins) and he’ll take care of me. He actually waited for me to get there and did not take any customers prior to me arriving!! So, I did not have to wait at all.Mike took his time, he asked questions, delivered EXACTLY what I imagined my nails should look like. I have gone to countless places and I’ve asked for thin, natural-looking nails and they failed to deliver time and time again.The PLUS is that Mike and his wife gets to know their customers... they actually build relationships with them. I got to witness that as regular customers arrived and left the salon. Love that! 💕

Mike is amazing!! He really listens and cares about what you want to do with your nails. The place I went before really destroyed my nails and they were chipping/falling off. He fixed them completely and now they look and feel great. Try the cat eye polish it’s my new favorite! Thank u mike!

I don’t think there’s one bad thing I can say about this place! Today was my first time paying them a visit and I couldn’t be happier with how my nails turned out. Mike was amazing and very attentive to what I was looking for as far as my nails. I asked and he delivered exactly what I wanted!!! I was also accompanied by my niece who left just as happy as i did (Anna did her nails I believe). The staff was very friendly and the salon itself was clean and professional looking. I would recommend this salon to anyone in the Tampa area! Amazing work :)

I’ve been a loyal customer for the past few years. Customer service here is top notch! I tried a few other nail places but nothing compares to this place. My gel nails always last more than a month. If you made an appointment, you won’t have to wait for more than a couple of mins.

Ive tried numerous nail salons in Tampa. Best one so far.They even have a discount procedure to help you out which most places dont. Its already expensive pampering yourself so having any type of discount counts! Staff super friendly and Mike is just dope!

I just want say I have read some of these one star reviews and quite frankly I think those customers are miserable people, and misery likes company. But let me digress, Mike has been a constant presence in my life as my manicurist for over ten years and when he opened his own solan, it was the best day of my life. He and his staff are all professionals and thats because management makes sure it is. The facility is clean, I never had an infection and I have always got my moneys worth. For those who were complaining about paying first, if you were uncomfortable with that arrangement, you should have spoke about it then and there.Keep up the good work 1st Sky Nails & Spa!

This is by far the best nail salon I have ever been to in my life and I have been to many in both Florida and New York. The owner, as well as the staff, go out of their way to make you feel right at home. If you have the least little problem it will be taken care of immediately. I have been having the owner do my nails for the last 7 years following him from 2 salons he worked at to the one he owns now. This is the best salon in the Tampa Bay area so everyone should give it a try. You wont be disappointed. Youre treated like royalty here!

Moved to Tampa 1 year ago and was looking for a nail salon with great all around service. Well look no further 1 Sky Nails a great. Family own and great friendly service. The all around service was wonderful myself, my husband and daughter really enjoyed our service. Thank you guys and I am looking forward to my next visit.

I use to come here all the time and get my nails done by Ann who is great! My recent visit was not the same unfortunately. They now ask you to pay before getting your service, which I don’t agree with because what if your service is terrible?! Also the manager was very rude when I asked him when they started to do this. Not every person was asked to pay first which is very concerning and shows that they are being selective with who they ask. My pedicure was rushed and not done thoroughly. I will not be returning to this location and will be sure to let everyone I know not to come here. Very disappointing!

Ok ladies and even gentlemen : )STOP LOOKING and come HERE! Seriously the most efficient, timely, very well manicured set of nails! Michael is very friendly, funny and makes you feel relaxed. Very clean, smells wonderful and they actually speak to you and care about your preferences. The prices are honest and they truly go above & beyond. I had an acrylic fill with the gel polish in 35 minutes and hands down the best looking set of nails Ive had in awhile!

Yesterday (02/12/17) was my 1st time in the salon, I only found this place because of Google. I have never seen a 5 star rating before (well 4.9... but as you can see that .10 negative rating, probably is from someone having a really bad day).P.S. the 1🌟review is available to view, and as you guessed it, the (1 & only) customer seems to be out of line.I was the last customer to leave, and even though my persons ride showed up to get her, (it was after closing,) she didnt rush. She didnt cut corners, and cheat me out of my hard earned money, by paying for services I wanted but didnt receive.She did her job! Im not one to give a generous tip, unless I know its deserved. Lets just say, I personally handed her a 33% tip!Ill be returning soon, to enjoy more services offered by this business

I have been going to sky nails for over a year. When Mike took over the place it did a full 360 for the better. The customer service is superior, my nails are healthy and always look amazing. They truly value me as a customer. I would recommend anyone in the Tampa area to try them out

Best Pedicure Ever! I was skeptical, nobody gets 5 stars but these folks earned it. Friendly staff, easy to talk to and a ton of options! Nail tech made sure temperatures were perfect and that I was satisfied every step of the way.

I drive approximately 30 minutes and pass by half a dozen nail salons happily to get to Sky Nails! By far the best in our area! Clean, friendly, professional, only quality products, high standards for perfection and reasonably priced. In one word - Awesome! 😀

They care about the quality of your nails and feet. They gave my mom some great advise for feet and things she can do at home. Beautiful atmosphere and amazing customer service. My experiences overall have been wonderful.

Poor customer service, they have a sign that says you have to pay first, which I don’t mind at all, but when I was there they made me paid first and two other customers who were not black walked in and got serviced but was not asked to pay first . Also, there was a white lady getting her nails done when I walked in and when I was almost done, she got up and went to pay after her nails was done. So I’m guessing they only want the black ppl to pay first . If that’s not discrimination, I don’t what you would call it then. I was disgusted and I let the owner know that I would not be coming back. I paid my for my service and still left tip. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE . They also kept asking if I was going to tip before I even got a chance to sit in the chair to get my pedicure. I always tip, but know that my tip is a privilege not a requirement. Why are you asking for a tip before even doing the service ? My pedicure wasn’t even good and the lady rushed it. But again I still left a tip like I always do. You should be embarrassed to own a place that treats people like this!

I was here about 2 or 3 weeks ago. it was my first time getting my nails done at sky nails. im known to be a very picky person, and the place i use to go to didnt do so well on my nails. when i went there, the wonderful owner guaranteed me that he can make my nails exactly how i wanted. he was amazing and interesting to talk to. not only that, he listened to me and gave me exactly what i wanted. by the end of my visit, i was completely satisfied. i will never go to a different nail salon again. this is the only place i will be getting my nails done at from now on.

Every time I go I have an awesome experience. Mike is great. Aurora is awesome. They listen to what you want and give it to you. I travel over 45 minutes just to have Mike do my nails and Im never disappointed.

Ive been to all kinds of nail salons and 1st Sky Nails by Walmart has always done a great job. They fixed this horrendous job I got done at Family Nails. Mike made my nails look flawless once they were finished; they became thinner, almost perfectly symmetrical, and he turned the ugly shape I was given into a beautiful coffin! They looked so natural, I loved it and its been about a week and the shine is still on. Im surprised how well they last throughout my job. Great prices and no charge for shaping!

I got my nails done for prom the day of and they were so kind and friendly to me I felt at home. My nails look absolutely beautiful, At a good price I will for sure be coming back.

Words can not describe the service provided by Mike. Mike has been my nail tech for the past 3 years. I am so particular w my nails and who is the master that is beautifying my nails. The owner of the store was always rude. Not sure why? But she yells if you ask any questions. I thought maybe I was mistaken the first time. Happened the same when I went back the 2nd and 3rd time. Wont be going anymore.However the technicians who did nails the first time was really good. But the next 2 visits were just ok.

Super friendly, very clean, they spoke english the entire time, I never felt uncomfortable! My nail tech, Mike made sure I was happy with his work while he was doing my nails. They didnt make me feel rushed like most nail salons! I will most definitely be back!!!!! 💅🏽 5 STARS!

The first and second time of doing my nails was great until the 3rd time... the products of there sns dipping powder is trash👎👎👎 And the owner Aurora she is very rude and she cant shape nails correctly. The third time she caught an attitude with me because I told her I didnt like the she did and I asked nicely if she could fix it for me ... after all I am spending my money 🤷🏽‍♀️... so why get mad! She file my nail so ruff that my skin started to bleed and she didnt even care.... I just sat there and watched in disbelief!!!😔 when she was finally done my fingers was hurting my skin was bleeding and I got over charged.... 95 dollars just for gel pedicure and sns fill... smh never again👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

I held off for a little while on writing this to make sure my nails didnt come off after a few days like some places. And they didnt they are very strong. My 4 year old daughter and I also got pedicures and matching nail polish and all she keeps talking about is going back, which we will be doing for sure. The staff ia very friendly as well.

One of the worst experience they take customers without even completing the service of the one they started. We were half done with our service and they just switched to others making us wait for 25 mins. Its not like they are cheap in cost we paid alot but they dont have sense of service or make the experience good. I wrongly selected this spa by seeing reviews.

Worst nail experience I ever had. The owner of the store did my nails and was insulting me the entire time! She yelled at me to the point that everyone in the building was staring at me. She said to my face I was the worst customer she ever had simply because I told her she was hurting my hands!! She was so rough!! She told me dont pull away, shes not doing anything wrong. My nails were throbbing the entire time and they dont even look good either.

Rude service from AURORA AND HER HUSBAND.. I paid for a service they messed up on said they fixed it by filling them down to size of my own nails are so no purpose to do gel nails rt.. You would think.. I even asked if u pay for it again can they fix it they said they cant.. So i called the police started a report .. Called my bank report fraud ... They have several customers that are un happy and when i was there with the cops theu also came out and spoke... I willl never recommend someone to go there and as a matter of fact about 25 ppl i know go there needless to say they were also unhappy and will not return to this place ... Cheap products bad customer service..

Hello,I everyone is wondering why Im the only one with a bad review and I will answer that soon.We move a lot because of our jobs so Ive been in more than 30 nail salons in the last 3 years. I was very super impressed when a saw that this salon had 5 stars and honestly is the first time that I see a 5 stars salon so I told myself you have to go, this people are gonna treat you like a queen, so I did. On my first visit a young super nice girl (she doesnt work there anymore) work on my feet and eyebrows, the owner (cant remember his name) did my full set, it was a good experience, he took his time and talk a lot about how they would take care of their customers and if they have 5 stars is because they deserve it. He ask me to leave a review about the salon but I decided to do it after a couple of visits (what everyone should do) so two weeks after I go called to make an appt and this lady answers the phone, I said hello maam, Im trying to make a appt but I dont remember the name of the person who did them last time, I think it was the owner she answered you dont need to call and ask for the owner, you dont call and ask for name, you call and say male who works there ammmmmmmmm yeah my mind was blown, she was supeeer rude, anyways I made the appt and ask for her name because of course I was gonna let the own know about this employee but for my surprise she was his wife (yup the other owner). I dont know if she got mad because I said that I wanted him to do my nails or what. My appt was around noon, got there and the salon was packed with students (prom season) he told me 15 m so I went out side and when I come back in he was working on another client. I sat down and he removed the color, send me to do my feet, he started another client, I was finished with my feet and waited around 15 minutes, sat down again and it took him less than 15 minutes to do the filling and everything (15 min its not good), Im a very patient and caring person so I decided not to tell him in front of everyone that I was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with my nails and that I was going to call the next day to get them fixed, so I did. He fixed them and apologize and then charge me for fixing my nails when it was his fault that I needed a fix, I paid for a 100% of service and received 50% and still I gave him $15 tip in the first visit (again my mind was blown) at that moment I thought why do they have 5 stars? Am I the only one that had a problem? Is it because its my second visit? Is it because of what I told the wife when I called? So I decided that Im not going back to them. Tried this new place something touch and yes its a little bit more expensive but I prefer to pay $10-$20 more and received a 100% and more of the service.

Terrible with gel nails and ridiculously overpriced. Paid over $80 and nails broke two days after being done. Replaced with acryllic instead of gel. Would give 0 stars if possible dont go to this nail place.
