Ive been using this business for my music electronics repair for at least 20 years. Steve is always honest with me, prices were always reasonable, and he always got the job done. Id recommend this business to anyone.
Door might be locked when you get there. Just blow up the phone. Cool dudes. Cool gear. Dingey and dark. Smells like my grandpaJims house. The younger guy looks like a really tall Matt Skiba. All in all decent vibes.
Super friendly and beyond knowledgeable about all things audio. I brought in a small 2 channel tube amp for my hifi system that had all power to the right stereo channel. Steve was able to get me back up and running and my system has never sounded better. He was very detailed on explaining the problem and what he did to resolve it. Very fair prices for such excellent service.
Update: The owner returned my call the next day and turns out he was at a funeral. He was very nice and took the time to help. I would definitely go back if necessary. 3 stars because I never went into the shop or had a service done.Old review: It was closed! Despite saying here that it was open. Wasted trip.
Received a Quality repair job on my JBL studio monitors and Personable customer service
Awesome service. Fixed my ampeg amp up and made it look and sound great. Highly recommend the crew here.
I was willing to give em a shot but Steve’s attitude along with his $95 per fee turned me off! Rude.
Great customer service and welcoming to all. My son is some what new to electric guitars and they took the time to show him all about distortion pedals, etc. Well be back!
I’ve been trying over 3 weeks now to get them to get an appointment to have my Yamaha keyboard looked at. I get Covid and the holidays can have an impact but I’m constantly not getting a response from them and contacting them multiple times in a row to even get a response. After 3 weeks of trying to sort this out his most recent message was “ Get in touch with me here first before you drive it in.” Like what do you think I’ve been doing for THREE WEEKS DUDE. I’ve been reluctant to give up because the next closest certified repair company is about 30 miles from Tacoma. But at this point I wouldn’t trust them to fix it and will take it elsewhere. Don’t waste your time with these people.
I will never take my amp or electronics anywhere but here. This place is right out of Central Casting in a movie. I got ridiculously quick service during the holidays, an explanation of what the issue was, and the pricing was very fair. I cant recommend enough!
He was a cool dude and took my amp same day
So far so good.
Experience is the best guarantee. One of the Northwests leading experts and warranty centers for nearly all major and minor brands. Whether you are a weekend warrior or a touring national act, Steve can solve your uaayea at any level.

I brought in my 88-key Triton Extreme, after 10 years it stopped working, for diagnosis. Paid to have it expedited. Found out it needed a new mother board. Cost is the same for a new keyboard. Also, unknown amount of waiting time for one to become available. It was not easy but I allowed it to go to the graveyard of spare parts in the back of their shop. I just wonder how many parts are still good, and usable. And, if SWA will make anything from it.
Opposed to many other experiences, my experience with these guys has always been top notch. Good customer service and friendly. I dont know that I would take my amps anywhere else. Service does take some time, but in the end my amps work well.
These guys are highly competent amp and speaker technicians. I can finally break and wear out my vintage and newer high end PA gear, knowing i have a way back to their original sound.
My gear was serviced at a reasonable price and returned within the expected time period.
I was referred to them by phone support at Harmon. they are the only shop in the country that can repair certain large Crown amps. They have access to proprietary JBL/Crown/Harmon parts and schematics, and a tech that is willing to take the time to get it done. Ive used them a few times and theyre helpful, do quality work, and stand behind what they do.Not fast or cheap, but I have used a lot of repair shops and the reputable ones will always have a month worth of work on their bench and charge for their expertise. A really good sign of a business thats worth dealing with is that they have a back-log of work lined up. I use a few repair shops for my electronic toys and the really smart guys who do good work are always at least a month deep in work. If you have something special that you want fixed right, its worth the wait and the cost.
Steve diagnosed and repaired my Fender SuperSonic 22 and did brilliant work. The amp went from problematic to perfect in one servicing. Could not be happier. Highly recommended.
They fixed my amplifier and had it less than two weeks. The price was fair. Great job!
The biggest complaint is the turnaround time, must leave there for 30days...yikes... seems a bit unambitious to work & you can tell by the condition of the shop, needs cleaning, tidying up, and to be more professional, I personally believe they could do the repairs in less than 2weeks but im sure they do it in order to control their personal calendars... also one of the speakers caught on fire when i got it home and plugged it in so ya... not so much, unfortunately there is no competition in Tacoma for repairs on musical/recording equipment so youre kinda stuck in having to use them.... and they know it...and exploit it to the fullest. if another shop came alive in the area this one would shut down in roughly 30days lol
First, If you go there wear a good mask. The cig smoke smell is bad. It will probable transfer to the equipment. Also you will need to leave your stuff there for a month (thats what I was told) so the smell will linger in your equipment for at least a while. Oh, and they dont do reservations. They just sit on your stuff until the get time to get to it. Of course of an Extra Charge they will get right on it.I said no thanks and took it the gut in Tukwilla. He said it would take a less than two weeks and was much easier to deal with. Ill let you know how that goes.
I called to ask about a power cord needed for my subwoofer and if he could point me in the right direction, he was nothing but rude and did his best to make me feel stupid for not knowing what do, tried to describe what it looked like and requirments and kept cutting me off and making asumptions and not listening to me, terrible customer service, i hope its just this one person that treats people like this but i will be taking my buisness somewhere else.
Fixes stuff right the first time..
Nice honest shop
Very bad customer service and they talk like they’re the boss but actually we pay for their services so this is a no no company
