This gym restored my confidence in myself because they are simply doing their job of training newbies, but they will give you tips on how to gain confidence. The gym is clean and equipped with a variety of workout equipment. So, if you plan to visit here, I guarantee you will be satisfied customers. I will suggest this to my friends and relatives!

Dark Quiet Depressing!This gym is not what it used to be. The new location is deplorable. A gutted out Chinese buffet with zero renovations. Ceiling panels missing exposed wiring hanging. Minimal to no lighting no windows no mirrors. I tried working out in the evening. It was literally pitch black in some sections including the cardio area and a long dark hallway to a completely dark restroom. I had to use my flashlight. Not safe and a definite liability. First off, none of the phone numbers listed are working so I decided to drive to the gym to get membership info. When I arrived it was locked and unstaffed as it is most of the time. There was a name and number listed on the door to call. The man that answered the phone told me I had to go online and signup for a membership before I could enter, despite explaining to him I just wanted to see it and that I was standing outside the door in the cold on my phone with him. He repeated to say once I was a member he would unlock the door, so much for seeing something before buying it!? The next day from home I signed up, I returned to the gym again to find it locked and unstaffed. I called the number and after about 10 minutes waiting outside he unlocked the door. The gym is disgusting inside, clearly they opened before they were ready. Dark, no music, and dirty! They also operate on a honor system for members cleaning and sanitizing. I did not see anyone wipe down any of the equipment but then again it’s almost pitch black in there. When I attempted to exit I found that all doors were locked from the inside, again with no staff I had to call back the same number. When I explained this to the guy on the phone he told me he’s personally never seen the inside of the gym and has no idea how to exit. I was literally locked in this place for another 10 minutes waiting for him to unlock the door. This has to be a code violation! I didn’t see any showers or lockers either?! The new location is also a high crime area which can easily be verified by viewing public records, beware of the safety of your vehicle if you do plan on trying to go here. With soo many good gyms in the area I had high hopes for this place and was more than disappointed. Bad location, bad customer service, bad facility, terrible gym! Don’t waste your time or money on this place.. avoid it like the corona virusAlso despite receiving covid relief and membership revenue this gym has a go fund me page, not a good sign for their future!

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! Completely unprofessional . Random people behind the counter pretending to work for the company. I cancelled back in February cause I moved next to Pacific health club and powerhouse ignored my cancellation and still charged me. The guy I talked too behind the counter apparently didnt work for the gym. DO NOT TRY THIS GYM THEY WILL SCAM YOU.

Probably the best gym Ive had a membership to. Never too crowded and everyone is extremely nice. Theres plenty of machines and free weights. The entire place is kept really clean. Open 24/7. Cant say anything bad about this place.

Ive been working out at Powerhouse since I moved to Syracuse about a year ago and have nothing but great things to say. The owners, employees, and trainers are all extremely respectful and helpful. The gym itself has a ton of equipment and offers a very motivating environment, whether youre a newcomer or an experienced lifter. Ive been to each of the main gyms here in Syracuse and Powerhouse easily takes the top spot!

I signed up for a membership a little over a month ago and I am very impressed by the gym itself. Its never crowded when I go in the morning and its very clean. I was skeptical to use the showers, but I was grateful for how up kept they were. The equipment is up to date and easy to use. Great staff as well.

Ive been working out at gyms since 1998. Power House is a favorite. Well maintained equipment and clean. Its swank but, leans a little toward hardcore. Perfect!

The owners truly care about this gym as if it was their own child. Reasonable rates and you can tell they just keep reinvesting any money they make right back into the gym. One of the owners has worked every day since I joined over 8 months ago which shows how much they care. Would recommend over any other gym in Syracuse and Ive been to at least 10 of them.

The staff is incredible. Rarely overcrowded. I suggested they buy an exercise bike. They bought two. Id give six stars if I could.Also, love it that they let people have their dogs hanging out.

Absolutely LOVE this gym! Family owned, they truly care about every person that walks through the door. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, they NEVER close for their members, even on holidays, which is great for someone who works crazy hours. Love the equipment, the whole front part of the gym is a giant window with a beautiful view, certainly makes cardio and exercise more enjoyable! They also carry a huge variety of products, proteins, nutritional supplements, and have access to get whatever you may need. Love their clothing line as well, so comfy! Atmosphere is great, always a good energy in there, I always feel welcome. Have made friends with so many of the members there, and have found some fun and exciting networking opportunities just in chatting with people. Everybody truly wants to see others succeed, which is great! Their personal trainers are wonderful as well. They really know how to help you meet their goals, and take the time to help you feel comfortable and confident with what youre doing. It really is unlike any other gym in CNY, and I am beyond grateful to have such a unique and amazing place in Syracuse!

24/7 Gym, ample off street parking, reasonable prices, new equipment, clean environment, and awesome owners/staff.I’ve been here for almost two years and it’s the one gym that keeps me from “gym jumping.” It’s a smaller gym and has its peak times but it has everything you need.

Walking into this gym feels like home. Everyone is so helpful. So many wonderful people.

This place is a fraction of the size of other gyms. Some people may be put off by this. Luckily, they dont come here and the place is never so crowded I cant get a good workout. The equipment is new, the staff quite friendly, and the personal trainer Ive hired is the best and brightest Ive met.

Love this gym! Small in size but HUGE on atmosphere. You can always tell the difference between a corporate gym where everyone is just a number and a $ sign and a gym like Powerhouse where its more like a family. Great machines and freeweights, always adding new pieces of equipment. Just the right amount of cardio (not 90% cardio machines like every other gym), clean bathrooms, plenty of protein drinks and best of all they embrace bodybuilding! Unlike certain gyms that dont like bodybuilders or bodybuilding **coughPLANETFITNESScoughcough**Powerhouse has pictures of bodybuilding superstars on the wall and advertises local bodybuilding shows, how refreshing! This gym is awesome! From the owners to most of the members!! Each and every gym has its idiots you know guy who trys to squat way more than he is physically capable of and almost breaks his lil neck..the neck that holds up his big head with frosted tips!! Or runs around with no shirt on, having to pass a mirror and seeing that he prob shouldnt... But ehhhhh what ya gonna do?? Comes with the territory ..STILL BEST GYM IN THE CUSE IN MY EYES that works for me!!!! 😜😜💪🏼🏋🏼‍♀️😑
