This is the first time I have used Valvoline Instant Oil Change. I was impressed about the quick service and the friendliness of the staff. The cost of the oil change was cheaper than going to the dealership. I will use them again in another 4,000 miles.

They have been the only store that generously accepted oil and coolant vast and they were very polite.

Service is great and convenient. Prices are outrageous. $95 for synthetic oil change when avg around State College is $64-69. Ridiculous

Ive used this location for my oil changes for years. Couldnt think of going anywhere else.

Service is usually quick. I like them because you usually dont need to schedule an appointment before going. And they are usually nice and courteous, albeit a little pricey.However, I got an oil change done with them and they screwed the drain plug WAY too tight. Its impossible for me to unscrew it on my own now. I know over-tightening the drain plug can cause permanent damage to the oil pan so I am disappointed that they did this.

Best service I have ever had in State College, they check your car and give you and recommendations if the something isn’t working well. Greg and the assistant manamanager are great guys, honest and know what they are doing.

The assistant manager was amazing. She knew everything I asked her, and went above and beyond. She is also a 17 on a scale from one to ten. Gorgeous, beautiful woman with a sweet heart.

Quick, courteous, and professional. Have been a customer for years and have always been very satisfied. A lot of businesses could learn a great deal from their customer service; its consistently excellent. Get your receipt emailed to you and youll also get a coupon for your next oil change.

A few dollars more than some of the other places in town, but totally worth it! This was the fastest oil change Ive ever had and I never had to get out of my car. The workers were very professional and courteous too. They answered questions that I had and didnt push more expensive products/services.

No need for an appointment! Speedy, good oil changes. Perfect for the winter when doing it yourself in a cold garage or a blistering driveway is an unfriendly idea. Be mindful of what you need and want going in. They will make recommendations based on what they see and such. Know your budget and your car.

The crew was simply amazing. My oil was changed and additional services (air filter & tire rotation) were offered but not pressured. It only took 15 minutes to complete oil change and fluid top off. I didnt even have to get out of my car! the staff also checked all of my headlights, my air filter, my tires, and my air conditioning! I was super impressed with the staffs knowledge and efficiency. Congrats, you have a repeat customer.

Get my oil changed here. The staff was professional and friendly. They usually have coupons active. I usually search for one while waiting for the oil change to complete. It seems like they always try to sell you a new air filter even when you dont need one (thats what cost them the fifth star).

It was very quick and pleasant. It’s drive-thru and you just sit there while they work.It’s like the filter is included. It’s slightly more expensive than other ($36 for regular oil and a filter) but very comfortable.

Great deals just check your phone for their coupons, I save $15.00 changing to full synthetic oil. They told me what else I need to know about my truck. . I give them a 10. Beyond, and fix stupid things on the Truck. loose hoses things like that.

Just as a heads up, if you own a Fiat dont bother. They refuse to work on them and will point you to a Volkswagon dealership for some reason. Oh and since they dont work on them, you have to drive around the incoming lane and hope nobody else is coming around instead of letting you leave through the building. So on top of apparently not knowing that Volkswagon doesnt own Fiat, its straight up dangerous to leave.

Dont ever go here. They kept telling me I was leaking coolant. So I bought some coolant and purposely overfilled it and havent leaked any in over 3 months. These guys will head stuff or drain FLuids on purpose to get you to spend more money. Dont go there ever. Youre better off going to Firestone.

Realized at the last minute before I headed out of town that my oil was severely low. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes with a complete oil change. They were very courteous and professional. Highly recommend them!

Best stop I made on our road trip out West! The gentleman who helped us (wish I could remember his name... musician and married man) was very friendly and seemed to be very knowledgeable.Helped me get an oil change after I made the mistake of hitting the road without one. Didnt feel pressured in the slightest.

They were rude and do not stand by problems with their work.This location changed the oil on my 07 Ford Freestar this spring. When I went to change the oil myself this summer, I found the filter to be on so tight that I couldnt get it off by any means (I had already drained the oil). I came to the store expressing my concern with their work, and wanted them to make it right by installing my filter and topping off what oil leaked during the process.The manager Chuck blamed me for not knowing what I was doing, or not having the right tools to do the work. He was unwilling to fix the filter being on too tight, or to even look at it without charging me $15 to put my own filter on. Im going to pay my mechanic to fix it rather than give any more money to this business.Furthermore, when I came back around the store I overheard Chuck and a technician named Steve making fun of my experience and saying that they wouldnt starve without my business. This is not the kind of customer care that keeps people coming back.The date of my poor service was 2016-08-08.

I have been going to this Valvoline for years, and this was an exceptionally nice fellow. Very friendly - I even told him how nice he was. Service was done quickly and no problems.

Terrible sevice. I scratched the back corner of car when I was following the direction of a service team member who kept telling me to go forward even though he saw I was going to hit the red post by the gate. The shop manager contacted me after receiving the claim from the company. The shop refused to take responsibility for it and did not even apologize once. They acted like it was unreasonable for me to rely on the instruction of someone whose job was to safely direct customers into the shop.

Fast oil change and nice staff but it wasnt the cheapest. I guess thats what you have to pay for quick service. Also, they tested my 1 yr old battery and recommended replacing it, so I took it to advanced auto parts for another test it was completely normal. I think their machine wasnt functioning properly. Almost wasted 120+ dollars.

I took my 2015 Audi A6 to the 100 Village Drive location on 8/8/2018. Two days later I left for a weekend trip. 20 miles out of town, oil started pouring out of my engine. A $200 tow and $400 diagnostic later, the mechanic determined that the fault was a misapplied oil filter, which used two gaskets instead of one and left a quarter inch gap between the filter and my engine block (see photos). I was told my engine would need to be replaced to restore my vehicle to its original condition before my visit to Valvoline Instant Oil Change on 8/8/2018 at a cost of over $25,000 on top of the $600 or so in expenses already incurred. I have since been getting the run around from the Valvoline management team and have been out of a car for nearly 6 days.If you value your cars engine, you do not wish to deal with incompetent technicians, or you do not wish to do business with a dishonest company that has so far failed to take full responsibility for their negligence, I would strongly encourage you to take your business elsewhere.A $26,000 bill for an oil change is far too high a price.

Never again will I go here for anything. The man I dealt with during my transaction attempted to turn a $35 oil change into an almost $150 ordeal. He was deceitful in telling me what the prices of the services were and spent most of the time trying to push products on me that I didnt need. If you arent that knowledagble on cars or even if you are, I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
