Was great the first year and a half, but we now have new management. Old management did everything they could to keep ratings up, new management not so much. Also, please fix the garage door :)

It took less than 10 mins (of walking around and getting to know the leasing team) for me to decide on this property, and I simply cannot emphasize enough just how blissful my time has been living here.

The Halsten exceeded our expectations. The management team is top notch. The units and all the amenities are beautiful and very well maintained. You can’t beat the location too. Definitely resort living at its finest.

The gate for the garage has now been broken for weeks, and it seems to be taking a long time for the club-house/gym renovation. Other than both of those significant items that cause issues to the residents, the location is amazing!

I have lived at the Halsten for a year and half and I have enjoyed it. The staff is so helpful, and so nice! They never fail to help when needed! Pool is great and the property is always clean!

I really enjoyed my 1 year here! Property was clean and very well kept. Living in the courtyard, I saw the Maintenance team cleaning the BBQ and common area every morning. It felt like a resort apartment! Only had one problem during my stay with our blinds breaking but the problem was fixed. I wish I would have re-newed my lease here but I needed a personal 1 car garage. I rented out a different luxury apartment across the street and it definitely doesnt feel like home like The Halsten did. I set the bar high at The Halsten and now it feels like I downgraded!

Update: I am upgrading my post from two stars to four. The Halsten management team has been extremely attentive in addressing the noise related matters mentioned below. I am pleased with their zero tolerance policy for excessive noise. The tires have not yet been removed from the lot next door so I cannot give 5 stars at this time.I would very much like to to give this complex a 5. It is pleasing to the eye, has fantastic views, and has a well maintained & well-designed swimming pool & gym. What can kill living in any complex is noise. I have had to adjust to noise from the person above me. Thank God, the person does not have children. However, the person who resides above me walks very heavily, with no regard for the fact that someone lives beneath him /her. Coming from townhouse living, it is certainly an adjustment but Im trying to balance the fact that in apartment living, there will be some noise. Its not an awful trade-off for the amenities. However, a few weeks ago, someone who resides beneath me began playing really loud music, television or gaming. It vibrates through the floor! That is what prompted this review. Im not sure what type of person Halsten leased to who believes its okay to blast music in a complex that houses so many people. Also, in the time Ive been here, I have not seen any messages go out reminding residents to be mindful of noise levels. The other issue I have is that there are four tires in clear view of the lot next door which are in my direct line of sight. The tires are strewn in the middle of the field and I have made several complaints, asking that they be removed. In defensive of Halsten, the lot belongs to the City and they reached out to them asking that they be removed. The city of Scottsdale had someone come out and they removed the wrong tires!-- tires that were hidden on the side of the building that I had no knowledge of. So, I am stuck looking at the four tires that are dead center in the field. Why this eyesore doesnt bother Halsten enough to at least cover them with sand, Im not sure. Lastly, I want to say that the staff is fantastic. All of them have been very personable and responsive, for the most part. In moving here, I dealt with McKrista--very professional! In fairness to this organization, I will update this review in six weeks.

John Imrie is the best! Took great care of my family during the process of moving. He showed us every apartment option, and explained everything in great detail.Great place to live, beautiful rooftop pool area with 360 degree views.

I cant explain how much I love living here! It is modern, fresh, and everyone is so nice. The best place to live in lock down while stuck at home. The front staff go above and beyond for any need, neighbors are actually neighborly here (!), and the maintenance staff arrive same day to fix anything. The most popular amenities are the hot tub and the dog park in terms of socializing, the Henri online portal is soooo nice as well, and Luxer package lockers are anxiety-relieving. This is a VERY pet friendly property which I LOVE, but if you dont like dogs barking occasionally, this is not the place for you. Only complaint is that depending on where your unit is, you can hear the Fairmont Princesses various concerts/events which isnt the Halstens fault but the city of Scottsdale should really address the issue for the entire neighborhood. Also, the Princess sets off fireworks regularly, so be warned if you have dogs!

The apartment and facilities are nice, but there are some issues that make it very frustrating to live here.The package machine that is used on the property has 2 large package vaults that frequently get overfilled, resulting in broken/crushed items and a huge chore of tetris anytime you have a package stuffed in one of the lockers. And since they are communal lockers, packages often go missing.Masking isnt enforced. As a critical care worker who has seen a lot of death from COVID-19 this year, this is very frustrating. Im also pregnant, so I dont feel safe walking in the hallways. I just walk around the building outdoors when I get the mail or wear an N95 since I cant trust residents to think of one another or the property managers to intervene. I get it, anti-maskers can be quite nasty, but this policy needs to be enforced with penalty for breaking the rules.Weve had a couple door handles fall off and apparently it is a common problem. It takes multiple weeks for someone to come and put it back on the door, and often with some haggling. Recently, we had our repair order get marked as complete 3 times by mistake and had to keep calling to ask someone to come out.The call box is also very inconveniently located and most delivery drivers cant find it even with instruction.I gave the property 3 stars because its a nice building...but they need a new package machine, enforcement of safety, and a better process for submitting and managing repair orders.

DisappointingThere is no hot water despite several maintenance visits - the maintenance people are inept. Residents are allowed to dry their laundry on the balcony and it is very ghetto. The parking lot is a speedway where your car will get hit. Speed bumps were promised 6 months ago but obviously is lip service. Management is unhelpful, rude and full of false promises. Their inane responses show how tone deaf they really are.

He gave me many options and answered all my questions. He did an awesome job with the property tour and followed up with me in a timely manner. Five Star Customer Service! This place is wonderful to live at. It feels like a resort for 1/5 of the price of living at an actual resort. Property management is good and repairs happen quickly. Would recommend to anyone who likes resort style living.

The management at the Halsten including Ciera, Diana and Kel are phenomenal and they go above and beyond. To me the management of an apt community is what matters the most. When I first moved here it was just taken over by Mark Taylor and was only 40% full. Now its close to capacity and even though there are so many people residing here now, Ciera, Diana Kel and team make sure it runs well with care, ethics and professionalism. They are top notch!

The Halsten is everything I thought it would be, QUALITY! I simply love the attentive staff and my apartment is incredibly beautiful and modern. I thought I would be here for 14 months but I decided I want to stay longer. The views are simply breathtaking! I truly made an excellent choice to move here. The maintenance is also quick to respond. I could not be happier!!!

McChrista & Matt were awesome to work with through the pre-approval process! They were quick and happy to answer questions as they came to mind and were very helpfully in explaining ever page of the deposit agreement & lease. Appreciate the transparency and the 5 star customer service! The complex overall exceed our expectations as far as the amenities, upgrades, & staff that work for Mark Taylor. We viewed a couple of apartments including the District & Broadstone. This one ticked every box for us!Cant wait to move in!

Although I did not end up renting from The Halsten, I was treated extremely well by Matt. He listened to what I wanted and showed me many apartments. They just didn’t fit my style. If you go to look for Luxury Apartments here, ask for Matt, he will treat you right.

Management is fantastic. Ciera should be promoted and/or given a big raise. Good judgement, kind, and responsive. She keeps the place immaculate and well run. Kudos to Ciera. It’s night and day compared to previous management.The reason for the lower rating (3 instead of 5)is simply and only because construction quality seems low to me — no concrete between floors / wall and so lots of noise transfer from other apartments, but I’ve been spoiled by living in some very nice high rise apartments in Chicago and San Francisco.

Best views and amenities of any apartment in the area. Condo living quality in an apartment. Convenient location with nearby stores and restaurants.

The Halsten Chauncey Lane offers a plethora of amenities and wide range of floor plans to fit your needs. The product sells it self but it also helps to have a sales team and leader who cares. Ciera is the Property Manager and truly impressed me with her attention to detail. She understood what I was looking for and offered me many options to chose from. I truly believe a property is only is good as their leadership and Ciera is an amazing asset to the organization. I would also like to recognize McChrista as she was wonderful to work with. I highly recommend Halsten at Chauncey Lane because they have a product and team who truly cares about you!

My girlfriend and I just moved to Arizona from NYC. We were about to give up on our apartment search until we stumbled across the Halsten. John and Ashley were so hospitable- I guess they could see how tired we were after a long day of searching and offered us a drink.After we talked about what we were looking for in an apartment we did a tour around the property to see all the room layouts and amenities. We knew immediately that our search was over. The pool is what we look forward to after a long day; and with all the additional benefits like the amazing gym, business center, and lounge areas, my worries of the long day are suddenly gone every time I arrive home.

This place is beautiful! The views are amazing! The staff is great as well...Before moving in we would go there at least once a week to get measurements and to see how things would fit in our floor plan. Also to see how the progress of the place was coming. Not once did any of the staff (John, Candace & Devyn) make us feel like a burden (which we were) or an inconvenience...Now that were moved in they have continued to always go above and beyond to help us with anything weve needed.Great place, great people & great views!

I went to tour this place and was not impressed! The staff is adding the same fake review over and over again on google. They literally copied and pasted the exact same review saying how great the apartment manager and staff is. That’s pathetic! It’s so sad when a leasing office has such bad service that they have to put multiple fake reviews up themselves. I would definitely not lease here ever! Beautiful property ruined by a horrible atmosphere and leasing staff!

Very bad customer service, called the number, goes to a call center somewhere, not even on property. I asked for someone to contact me about renting a 1br. Gave my information. Was told they would get back to me in about 30 minutes. That was 6 hours ago and counting. Great job with customer service. The rents at this beautiful property start at $1500 plus for a 1br. And you cant get better customer service! SAD!

My wife and I came in for a tour a few days ago and were treated horribly! There was a tall blonde woman who gave my wife and I a dirty look as soon as we walked in. No one greeted us so we sat down on the sofa and waited until someone was free to help us. 20 minutes later the blonde woman came over and took us on a tour after taking our IDs. She was rushed and a bit rude as if we were bothering her. We quickly said looks good then went back downstairs pretended to be interested as she sat us down at her desk and went over units. We got our IDs back after that and left ASAP. We will not be leasing here and would not recommend touring as I have never felt this mistreated or uncomfortable as a potential client. Be better Halsten!

TEN STARS!!* * * * * * * * * *APRIL 29, 2020The property is now managed by Mark Taylor. It was a very smooth transition done quite professionally. It has been several months now. I thought it was fantastic with the previous management company, however, Mark Taylor has put a team in place that has brought excellence on every level. Ciera is the manager, and has proven in every interaction I’ve had with her that she is truly a manager! Very pleasant and professional! She manages in a style all her own and one can tell that she is proud of her staff and this property!Pre-Covid-19: Cleanliness, order, events, landscaping done often, efficiently, and beautifully, parking garage well maintained and patrolled, stellar amenities, and wonderful staff.Present Day Covid-19: Like everywhere else in our country, we are living with temporary guidelines that had to be enforced. While this is a very challenging time, Halsten management keeps in touch with the residents, the property is sanitized constantly, and social distancing is in place. Ciera and her staff has made it comfortable for us to be residents during this horrible health crisis. Very challenging work!!Future post Covid-19: I sincerely believe once we are back to living a somewhat “normal” existence, that things will only get better here! We may all (everywhere) still have restrictions and guidelines to be followed, however, we’ll come back stronger. This crisis has certainly made me appreciate our management team even more. They protect and maintain our “home”.I believe tours are now virtual but not certain about that, so if you had a bad experience for whatever reason in 2019, give it another shot. I think you will be pleased!Health and safety to all....

The Construction staff was top notch and the building is superior to all.

I’ve tried calling this place at least 15 times from my last count and it continues to go to a call center that fields calls for the community. Strange!
