Used their service after car door window was smashed during a theft in SF. So glad to have found this shop. Great service, fast, friendly, reasonable pricing and Wally took the time to vacuum all of the glass shards inside the car. So grateful to have found their auto shop down the street and will be returning for all future vehicle maintenance.

Wally (and apologize for not knowing the other guys name as they are not big talkers ) has checked my car several times and immediately knows what to do and what is wrong. He has figured things out a couple of times including something that was draining my battery and recharged it at no cost to me. When he was doing some cylinder work after a check engine light he said he wouldn’t charge any labor if I would just pay for the price of new spark plugs because they are hard to get to and they were the original spark plugs from 20 years ago so I told him of course go for it! Very efficient, on time very fast. I feel blessed to know about him and that is just down the street!

These guys are awesome. I booked an oil change and tire rotation for the next day and they told me it would take 45 minutes. I was in and out in under 30. They seem exceptionally trustworthy and charge a fair price for the service. I will be coming back and would highly recommend!

Excellent service and price

Came in for a check engine light code read, which they performed quickly and at no cost. Though they didnt have the capability to repair the issue, they advised me on next steps when I take my vehicle elsewhere. Really appreciate their honesty and the concern they showed by noticing and repairing a door that had been stuck for months!

No frills car maintenance shop. No sales tactics and prices are reasonable. My go to place for routine maintenance, smog, oil changes etc. I am usually in and out in 30 mins. Its easy to get a same day or next day appointment.

You can come here for more than just oil changes. I had a shopping list of services that needed to be done on my G37. He showed me pictures of the work and showed me the old parts that I asked him to replace, which made me feel comfortable as a first time customer. I initially asked him to replace the leaky hoses, but he explained to me that they are new and just needed to be tightened. I saved a lot of money here and my car is running noticeably smoother.

My experiences with Norfolk auto service was excellent, he is a very honest person and fast, he has been taking care of all my car for the past 10 years. I met many mechanic that lie to me and charged me lots of many specially when you are girl and have no experience of cars, but with Norfolk auto service, I dont have to worry.

Fast, friendly, reliable! second time coming here for a smog test, and very happy with the service. the setup a same day appointment and only took about 30 min to get it done. when i went to pay, the owner explained the next steps i need to do to take care of my registration which was very helpful. highly recommend, and Ill come back to these guys next time I need service for my vw!

I had a rusted license plate bolt so I couldnt take my plate down and my out-of-state license plate is about to expire. I went to the dealer and an auto body shop and they dont really wanna give it a serious try. I then quoted on Yelp and someplace ask for $100+. Given all the excellent reviews here and its pretty close to my apartment, I decided to take my car to them and give it a shot. Wally was able to quickly fix it under a few minutes and he charged me nothing! Ill definitely take my car to him for future needs!

Wally is fantastic! There is a reason he has such a great rating. He is honest, fair, and patient. I first came to him to fix my brakes after my boyfriend had a great experience. He identified the problem and explained what he recommended and why, and there was no commitment until he gave me a cost estimate. It turns out my brakes needed more work than I realized, but he got the job done quickly. A few weeks later I started hearing a strange noise coming from my car when turning. I immediately brought it into Wally and he looked at it right away. A bolt on my front axle was loose and not locked. He thoroughly explained and showed me the problem, quickly tightened and locked the bolt, and sent me on my merry way without even charging me! On top of his honest work, he managed to squeeze me in that day for both of my problems. I will keep coming back to Norfolk Auto Services for all of my car needs.

Wally and his team are great mechanics. I go here all the time to get maintenance done on my Mazda Miata. They always inspect the car very carefully anytime they work on it, and they often find issues that other shops dont even notice.They have some of the lowest rates in the Peninsula, and they are still very high quality. For some jobs, they charge as a little as 60% of what other shops charge.Im also impressed by their integrity. When they couldnt finish a timing belt job on my Lexus, Wally insisted that I shouldnt have to pay anything even though it was a 4-hour job. He even gave some tips on where to find cheaper replacement parts.

Super quick service (I went there for oil change and Smog inspection), reliable communication, and reasonable prices. I like how these guys are no non-sense and dont try to push extra stuff on you. They nicely explain what you need for your car, do it quickly, and you can be on your way. Highly recommend them.

I have excellent experiences here, front and rear brakes done as well as oil changes... usually better prices than whomever I called for comparisons, and always with accurate estimations and timliness. They are down to earth and hard working and honest, and I wont take my car anywhere else.

Wally is a very good and honest mechanic and a solid guy. Ive gone to him with multiple issues with my vehicles in the last two years and he is always fast and reliable. If you are like me and dont know anything about cars, taking your car into the shop can make you feel vulnerable to being taken advantage of. The people at Norfolk are very trustworthy. I never worry that Ill be mislead or over charged.

I love this shop. Ive been coming here for my oil changes since I moved to the area - theyre trustworthy, fast and friendly (and right next to Apple Fritter if you want to hop over and get lunch while you wait). They also have a shady little patio area if you want to hang out there for a few minutes. Id definitely recommend them.

I love working with these guys (3 times so far). They are extremely honest and have fair prices. Most recently, I had a check engine light go on. He ran the scan for free then explained what each code was. He gave me a copy of the scan and said I could go home and lookup the codes before deciding what I should fix.

First went to another repair shop to fix things, had bad experience, then wen to Wally for help. Wally is awesome, explained whats the problem, which gained my trust easily. He quoted much less than dealership and a little bit less than other independent shop(all of them use OEM parts for the break pads and rotors). Told me pick up my car around 3pm, actually finished the work one hour than that. It was Sat, man. This is the serious business, honest, fair price and save customer lots of time.Best experience ever, will bring all of my car to here for future issue. Recommend to all people in bay area who want to save money and time.

They are nice guys and can deal with northeastern vehicles (which are usually more rusty). The price is normal, but I guess there is still room for negotiation. The usual brake job on rear/front (not both) pads, rotors and calipers costs around 750. I consider them reliable.

Needs a smog check in a hurry. Wally fit me in first thing & was Half the price of the other places I called. Was done in 20 minutes while I had a coffee and donut next-door! I highly recommend!

I had my car shipped from NY and when it got here my breaks didnt work. I brought it here and had a great experience. Wally like at my car for free and called with an estimate within an hour. He finished with on the car by 5:15 and had the parts he had to replace out and ready for me so he could explain everything and made sure that I understood scat the problem was. I will definitely be bringing my car back here when it needs maintenance again.

Great place. Very honest - I asked for a tire rotation and oil change but when I came back he didnt charge me for the rotation because he said it wasnt necessary.

One of the best auto mechanics in the Bay Area. Wally might come off as rude/brusque, but hes superb, explains the problem and solution extremely well, does not try and do repairs that are unnecessary. In fact, he will go out of his way to not waste your money & time, and will you know in advance if he feels there is any service that might come up in the near future.Sometimes, he does tend to use aftermarket parts to keep the cost down, and if youre not OK with that, the best thing to do is order the OEM part yourself and take it to him. So if a part needs repairing/replacing, always remember to ask if hes going to order OEM or aftermarket.If you are going to use a superior aftermarket part, its still a great idea to ask him to install it. Sometimes, like for a Mazda3, the OEM motor mounts are not as reliable as some of the aftermarket ones.

They broke my stereo and somehow managed to get mud all over my front interior. I will never let this company touch my car again.
