Beth Cooperman is an outstanding clinician and a caring person who I had the pleasure of working with for many years. Not only was she a wonderful practitioner but she was a wonderful resource for me to learn as much as I could about being a better clinician myself. Her clients were all very fond of her and she was punctual and professional. A true asset in every way
Working with someone as dedicated and talented as Beth Cooperman in the past was a pleasure. Professional, punctual, and kind, she was able to make a real difference in the life of those she served. It is no surprise she continues to excel in her profession.

I never wrote a review before but I can only repeat the sentiments of the other two reviewers complaining about shady billing practices. Avoid this place! The therapist was fine and it is a shame that she associates herself with this office. They say on the website that there will only be a small co-insurance as long as the therapist is in-network which she was. Then fees started piling up: It turned out there is a $40/month membership fee, the copay was $85 (instead of the ~$20 they were claiming) online and they have not filed with my insurance! I reached out to customer service, my insurance and their billing department - they do not care if a customer is rightfully disappointed. I understand that out of pocket pay is higher until the insurance deductible is reached but this has to be explained to the patient and still they must file with insurance but there is no indication per my insurance that they did that.
I’ve had a number of sessions with Dr Carter and all I can say is she’s the best! Very professional and courteous.
Two of my daughters received services with Dr. Marshanda Carter. She’s simply amazing. The encounter with her was the best. She helped my daughters tremendously; I would recommend her to anyone.Queta C.
Dr Marshanda Carter helped my family and I through some trauma last year. We are very pleased with her expertise and compassion that she showed us. She is a gem.
We started taking our oldest daughter here. My wife provided my insurance information to their billing department upon scheduling the first appointment yet they chose to never bill it and charged us $80. Another appointment two weeks later they charge us $80. We ask about the insurance and we’re told the charges would go down. Another appointment two weeks later and another $80 charge. Look at my insurance website and see they’ve never billed my insurance company for ANY of the appointments. We ask and told we need to fill out a HIPPA form which we do and are told we’d get a call back in 72 business hours. Guess what… no call. Now we have to call them again to sort this out. They’re practically stealing our money and think we’re going to let this stand. They better remedy this immediately.TLDR: don’t use thriveworks due to shady billing practices.
Shady billing practices! Do not become a patient here!I want to start with saying that my therapist was not really the problem, although the lack of connection with their office and billing became an issue. Initially they were charging me what I expected my copy to be then after 2 months they more than doubled my charges per session. Meanwhile my EOBs from my insurance are coming back saying $0.00 owed! Their responses to the increased price was insufficient as they tried to push it onto my insurance! Because they have your credit card on file it seems they just charge you what they want. Now I have to sort this out with my insurance and cannot continue my appointments due to their overcharging. No one would willingly be charged 2x their copy and wait 30+ days for insurance to correct their mistakes. Also, you cannot talk to anyone on the phone unless you want to speak to customer service to schedule or complain. Complaints get sent to the billing department and they will not get back with you unless you press them via email. Even then, they do not respond with anything that makes any sense.Stay away from this place unless you want to overpay.
Scam. I agree with the shady billing practices review... they took my insurance the first visit and then after that they said I was “out of network” which was untrue. I had to pay out of pocket because they promised that the billing would change back to in network cost. Never happened. Still waiting on my refund... like I’ll ever see that. Find somewhere else and save yourself a headache.
Well I really didnt have a good experience. Maybe it was just the counselor that I had, but I kept getting billed for a missed appointment. That appointment never was confirmed, or set up between the two of us. If its miscommunication on the setup. How can I expect it to be communication on therapy?
What a great company! Georgette is a wonderful and caring counselor. She takes time to really listen. And, she provides you with tools to really move forward in your life.
Georgette is a wonderful therapist and she has a great energy about her. I did telehealth and it was just as good as sitting in the office. Can’t wait for my next session. :)
Very clean and comfortable office and easy to make or break appointments, my counselor is great!
They took my insurance and I paid them on the time of my visit but now 2 years later they put my account in collections. I have a read other similar reviews for this company

Thriveworks is a great company especially the counselors at the Rock Hill location. Georgette is a pleasure to work with and the staff there really seem to value your time.
It was more a venting session. There were no coping mechanism offer. Little comfort and no guidance.
Other reviews appear to be all fake or paid. Excited theyre coming to Rock Hill and have only reviewed multiple Thriveworks locations. Dagen Rutledge is even their VP of HR. Sleazy.
