San Jose Auto Steam cleaning is no longer do engine steam cleaning. The name is misleading. They only do hand car wash. There are better prices around.

Awesome place for getting the engine cleaned. Youve two options of only cleaning the engine or doing the undercarriage as well. $150 or $250. David is a fantastic one man army. In the same compound youve the car wash for $10 or go the $350 full 6 hours detailing

Aside from being the only one in town, very fast and worthwhile service. Guy owns the property and is very friendly and reasonable. To anyone unsure of the worth of the service: Steam cleaning can prevent heat soaking, help find leaks, melt away corrosion and acids from chemicals or battery leakage and left my volvos underhood with 200k miles on the engine looking good as new... and turns out i still have a leak! Wouldnt have known without the cleaning. Thanks again buddy!

Easy, quick only an hour, goes beyond.Zip tied my undercarriage tray which was loose.

The owner, Dave, is the consummate professional, hard-working and fair. I was in a real pinch, having forgotten to replace the tip stick after checking the oil of my companys F-650 truck and then driving it. Dave took care of it quickly with a smile.

The guys here are phenomenal. They have always done a very thorough job both washing AND drying my car (a lot of places dont dry them too well). Ive had my car detailed here as well and they did a great job. Theyre, faster, cheaper, and do a better job than any other car wash Ive gone to in San Jose or Santa Clara. Just watch out that you dont run into any pedestrians or other cars on the way in or out; it can get a little hectic at the intersection near their entrance.

Really wanted to use this company but in 2 weeks time the price for engine cleaning for top and bottom went from $200 to $300.Others have paid $200 Mechanics have referred them saying it cost $200 SWTHIM Self employed ..price gouging is not acceptable and in my opinion dishonest.

I have visited this establishment several times over the many years with three different cars that I have own and never have I been disappointed with the results. A top/bottom clean is what I always do, nothing like the look of a clean engine!

The service quality doesnt match for the price $46 for exterior&interior cleaning. It looks like they just took off the dust from the car.

These guys work hard and I wanted to love it but the quality of the cleaning was really terrible - inside dash not even touched, nor were the doors. I wasnt expecting a detail but at least each surface should have recieved a cursory cleaning. I can not recommend them.

The staff was both friendly and helpful, telling us what theyd do and what theyd check for before they started cleaning, and explaining their findings after they were done. Better yet, they were both fast and thorough. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again.

The staff here is very friendly. As a high school student paying for his own car expenses, they gave me a huge discount steam cleaning my truck. I paid for them to clean the engine, trans, and t case, but instead, they did the whole underside. I’d highly recommend to anyone!

Expensive but great service

My wife’s Subaru head gaskets were replaced but the engine bay was greasy. The only way to clean it is steam. San Jose Steam Cleaning took care of me. I read a couple articles and the car was done. It hasn’t been this clean since it rolled off the lot! Taking the BMW next.

Great price and super fast, but you get what you pay for. Basic wash (no wheels) was only $10, but I feel like there was more “touching” of my car than actual washing.

Outstanding work and service. I dropped off my rig which had been in the deserts of Nevada many times over the last 15 years. Black Rock, etc. The alkali dust sticks and stays on frames and undercarriage slowly cooroding any unprotected steel. They steam cleaned everything thoroughly then undercoated the frame. When I got it back, it looked like they replaced the frame. Id givem 6 stars if I could. The car wash on the same lot, run by a different crew does good work and are inexpensive.

The price is not cheap($20 inside and outside per sedan car), they will only use 5-10 minutes to wash your car which means they cannot really clean your car at all. It is even worse than the drive through car wash.Do not waste your time and money here.

If in a hurry to have a bare minimal spray and lubricate, with an oh you want inside done, job for $18 plus $5 tip, this is the place. My bad because I have a hose and vacuum at home. My rims had milky spray dripping down the tires and the windows were framed where they werent wiped at all. I hate paying any amount of money to here the help complain about cleaning the dust and dirt from my car while Im sitting in the drivers seat. The manager said they were busy. Shame on them!

If you are even considering cleaning your engine, chassis, or other car / truck parts you need to see the gents at San Jose Steam Cleaning first. They have done a few cars for me so this review is based off more than just one experience. I have also recommended people to them with all positive results. A few things worth noting:First - dont call and ask how much for this, that or the other to be steam cleaned. Set up an appointment and go see them. I assure you, their prices are more than fair - frankly they should charge more for the amazing job they do. However, every job is different with varying levels of grime removal needed. Once you arrive they will put your car up on a lift, show you all the dirty details, and tell you exactly what it will cost to clean some or all of it. If you have a specific budget you need to stay within, let them know and they will give you plenty of options. If you dont like the price (good luck finding a better place) then you can decline the service and part ways friends. Easy peasy.Second - You can watch the entire process, start to finish. In fact, they encourage it. No standing behind a yellow line and getting a surprise when they are done. You see the work being done, you are part of the feedback process. These guys want every customer to leave happy. If you are not thrilled at the first pass, let them know. They are going to work hard to ensure you come back and refer friends. Dont be unreasonable though! If you paid for the engine to be done, dont go and demand the whole chassis be done too. Pay for that option and you will be more than happy with the result there too.Third - They dont stop with the steam cleaning. They can also help you with undercarriage coating. Again, they will quote you the work to get all this done. And they do Concurs Le Mans vehicles all the way to work trucks. They have the right touch for each car/truck that comes in the door.Fourth - No question - it will take you DAYS to get your engine / chassis as clean as they can make it in under an hour. Think about that for a moment. How much is your time worth to you??? Unless you really want to spend tons of time with a brush and cleaner, go see them for the first pass then take the car home and go to work on the details yourself. Unless you want them to get surgical on your car for you - in that case hire them to get precise but allow more time and budget.Finally - this is a family owned business that has been around for decades. Not a franchise, not a fly-by-night operation, not a car wash that also does steam cleaning. Not only are these quality workers, they are quality human beings. They have families, they have work ethic, they have pride, and they truly enjoy seeing their customers happy when they leave with a clean engine / chassis.Happy steaming.
