The place is great and they are always busy so its best to call and make an appointment. They are all good so who ever u go to is great which is something hard to find. A lot of people like Calvin so it be best to plan ahead when needing a haircut from him. I always go to Janice she has been cutting my hair for more than 12 years.

Calvin was really really good and did a clean, accurate, and gentle job cutting my hair. Calvin was at a fast pace but not rushed. I come all the way from Washington and I can say that this place is special. I recently just got curly hair and other barbers haven’t been able to do what I had in mind, but that was before I got a cut from Calvin. Calvin and the other employee were very friendly and chill. I honestly can’t think of something that I didn’t like. I give this barbershop and Calvin a 5/5 star….

Rose is Great. Uses blades for actual barber level cuts. Small place. Quicker than normal cuts for barber shop but they tend to be busy so its all good because cuts are clean and solid

My son normally goes to see Nick. The staff are very detailed and know what they’re doing. My son happens to have a dip in his skull from a soft spot that never quite rounded. Most barbers out there could never get my sons haircut right, where the dip was not noticeable. Nick seems to always get it right! He makes sure to leave my sons hair just a little longer in the center, so the skull dip is not noticeable at all!I love the styles and detail that Mt Pleasant Barbers perform on all their patrons! They’ve have great skill!I highly recommend this place and to make sure you call when they open, to book your spot! That’s just how good they are!

Love this place. Have been coming here for 3 years now and they never disappoint. Always understand what i want and they make it just how I describe it. Highly recommend. I would suggest calling to make an appointment though because they get packed and if you do a walk in it does take long. Other than that it’s a great place.

Best place in San Jose to get your hair cut!! All the barbers here will give you a killer hair cut!!! Its best to call in the morning and schedule an appointment better than walking in and having to wait!! My son had an appointment at 11:30 and we arrived at 11:27. This being our 1st time there I didn’t know it was cash only. I told them I’d be right back to pull out cash around the corner. I come back with in a few minutes and the man in the back proceeds to tell me next time don’t come if I’m late. So very rude and unprofessional! We walked out and went somewhere else that will appreciate our business!

Best fades on the east side hands down. Hardest part is getting an appt. You have to call the day of starting at 9am. My girl Janice will take care of you but be sure to call early cuz her time slots go fast. But all the other barbers are prime. Rose, the shop owner does really good cuts also. $17 for your basic fade

I called this establishment and asked about haircuts and if they provide straight razor cuts. They advised me yes. I just showed up and he told me to leave after he said they had no time despite closing at 6:30pm. They stated that I need an appointment even though I was never advised this over the phone after I concluded our conversation with Thanks, Ill see you soon. Its unfortunate for them being as though I give a 25 dollar tip every time I get a cut. The asian gentleman was very disrespectful and not about his business. Despite this, I must say that the women were very polite and greeted me appropriately. I dont know what to think. This is the first shop that I have ever been treated negatively at.

Tried to get my hair cut and the lady was rude and said she doesn’t recommend anyone. Heard good things about them, but not very good customer service.

I alway go with Janice. She knows exactly what I want when I describe it to her. The shop is alway crowed so I suggest going when they first open. The barber allows walk in from 9am to 11am. Anytime after noon, it would be by appointment so calling them is recommended.
