Fun environment for October fest. We come here every year. Wonderful music and beautiful decorations. The food is ok, not the best cause it s too high calories

I was taken here by friends, who assured me that if I liked Schwabian food Id love this place. They werent wrong. Great food, great decor and vibe very friendly staff and proprietors. Nice beer garden too.. Highly recommended. 👍 👌

Few good German beers on tap. They have good selection of shareable appetizers, but nothing out of the ordinary. The bar area looks really cool and they have a big outdoor area in the back which is nice for gatherings.

Ordered a 2 l beers about 30 bucks for two big beers nice and clean inside the bartending was very friendly and talkative we just got in when the kitchen was closing cuz my brother asked but we were already last minute anyways so not really upset at all nice little cozy place kept well nice and clean welcoming

Really enjoyed dinner here. We had the Jager schnitzel (mushroom gravy on the side) and the Leberkase. The cheese stuff pretzel was the perfect app.

We went to Teskes at the beginning of Oktoberfest this year. The food was great and the entertainment was fun, but the star of the show was Chef Scott. Scott went out of his way to save a special dish for me and my family. for the evening. It was delicious and we appreciated the extra effort he made. We will return again soon!

I had the gift of 2 amazing meals at this fantastic German Restaurant! Food is truly, I cleaned the plate with my fingers the flavors were so amazing. The Meatloaf and Paprikagoulash Mit Spatzle und Rostkohl. plus the service is kind and like family. Do not miss out on this delight!

You know where to get your Schweinshaxen and German beers! The Gulasch fries are an excellent idea too.Currently open inside and outside in the cozy backyard (inside I think at half capacity due to you know who)

If you like German food then you will love Teske’s Germania!! They have many of the popular German beers. Their food is delicious and service is outstanding. If you want schnitzel, Spoetzl, potato pancakes, or any other German favorite I would definitely recommend. Oh and don’t forget their Oktoberfest celebration on the back patio with live music every year.

One of our top 5 spots in all of San Jose. Been coming here for 3+ years and every experience has been fantastic. It’s truly a family atmosphere and that shows in the quality and care put into every meal. When we have friends or family in town we always bring them to Teske’s.

Best German beer garden experience in the Bay Area. Call in to request outdoor seating, which is a must when the weather is nice. Service is consistently excellent, as is the food. Oh yeah, the beers fantastic too!

Weve come a couple times, and Teskes is a great place for some German food in San Jose! We went on Valentines, and it was very busy! The staff had their hands full but were very gracious. We got the sausage combination platter. I used to be better at knowing types of Wurst, but there were 4 kinds and they serve it with their mustard, which is very tasty! For each entree, they serve it with bread, tomato bisque, a garden salad and apple strudel. Everything tasted fresh. I have to say my favorite entree was the Jägerschnitzel! I would recommend it.

Loved it! The food was savory and the atmosphere was fantastic. I brought my son and daughter and they throughly enjoyed the live band with lots of sing-a-long songs and couples dancing outside. We ordered the pork belly with the fruit compote - a must have appetizer, buffalo meatloaf, two other dishes I cant pronounce, burnt almond cake, apple strudel with fresh whipped, and beer! They have a full bar with indoor and outdoor seating and a nice staff. Its not a fancy place, but it fits the part.

This is a place in a very very old house in San Jose that has insanely high ceilings and a Mexican type feel to the back yard (beer garden) to it. All of the food I had there tonight was in their kitchen for at least a day or two, which is why that was as authentic as it comes. No pretentiousness and all fully legit. I am German. My grandma did not make food any different than what I had tonight. The beer list is second to none and I cannot believe I had never gone in 9 years living in SJ. Idiotic of me. Teskes is the best German restaurant I have been to in the US and I have been to many.

Food was amazing and quick. The vibe and atmosphere is the the other half of the draw. Portions were decent in size and the pours were also on point.

This place!!!!! What can I say? The service?!? The atmosphere?!? The food?!? The tradition?!? We were a party of 8 traveling nurses ... completely out of our element ... Ive never felt so at home. The goulash fries were crazy flavorful. I had the smoked pork chop (which everyone reveled in) but also sampled each of my co-workers plates ... the veal was flavorful and tender. The schnitzel was lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned ... Buffalo burger another hit. Keep in mind Im from Texas and were very selective regarding our food. Oh before I forget the jalapeño cheese stuffed pretzel will leave you hungering for more and its only an appetizer. And also (pardon the lack of grammatical etiquette) the saurkraut was unlike any I have ever sampled before. If you never believe a word I say please believe me when I say, Eat here!

Spatzle are so good. Onion pie is delicious. Schnitzels are tasty and crunchy. The mushrooms sauce is divine. So glad I found this place.

I don’t think the “veal” was really veal- looked and tasted like pork. Mushroom gravy was horrid, and the spatzle was like mush!!! Big mistake to order from there- NEVER AGAIN

Such a great place. Hearty food and large full steins of quality German ale coupled with a great bar atmosphere make this a place not to be missed in San Jose. Teskes is a great place to grab a beer with two hands, because its too large for some people to be able drink with just one.When you walk in youre greeted with an old school bar vibe and in the back they have a banquet hall for the restaurant.None of us particularly enjoyed the food, but would definitely come back for the beer.

If you want German food this is the real deal they have every type of German meal you can imagine veener schnitzel and there pigs knuckles are just out of out of this world

I think Ludwigs serves better German dishes. The brussel sprouts were so sour because it was covered with blue cheese. The sausage sampler plate was decent, especially dipped in mustard. My hubby ordered the lamb, which he liked. I ordered the sea bass wrapped around salmon on top of alfredo pasta. Both fish did not have flavor. The tastiest part was the pasta. Our Valentines dinner included tomato bisque, pickled salad, cold, dense bread slices, and an apple turnover. The best part about Teske was our waitress- the sweetest lady!!

Delicious and authentic German food. Service can be slow on a busy night (Friday). Live music occasionally (Friday at least when I visited). Large seating for big parties are available if you make a reservation. Draft beers are fantastic! 4 course meal on main dishes (soup, salad, meal and apple strudel). Best German spot in town!

Good food good service and a cool place to get a meal. We got a five course dinner for a really reasonable price. Pretty good selection of German beers and I highly recommend the cheese pretzels! My dinner was really tasty. Will definitely be coming here again.

Old school vibe. Foods not interesting, go for the memories of another time and place. Good service, lots of German beer and schnapps. But this pork hock was overdone, reheated and I felt like it was leftover from the other night.

Went here for a work dinner and this place is great! Big German beers and the food was great. The sausages are so tasty. I pretty much hand my mind set on one of the menu items however when I heard lamb shank was a special then I ended up getting that instead. My German friend was very happy to visit this restaurant. She said it was good food. That means it is close to authentic if not the real thing. I myself enjoyed the food. The small plates we got were really filling. The sauerkraut was good. The mustard was really good too. Good selection of beers (obviously :D). Our service person was really nice and friendly. All in all it was a good experience.

Cool spot for German food and beer. The schnapps are reasonably priced and theres a lot to choose from. Their late night menu had a killer jalapeno cheese pretzel. Its probably available earlier, but you can find that out for yourself. Have a sausage with some sauerkraut, a liter of beer and dont forget to order an Underberg.

I told my friends about this place with my highest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The the cooking is great and the stuff is attentive and cooperative. Whenever we eat in this place we have a pleasant evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant.

I eat in this spot a lot since I work right next to it. I like how their service is always great and they keep the place well organized regularly. Prices are affordable and they serve big portions.

Authentic, hardy German food...delicious. Service was good though I worried for our server...she worked from behind the bar and the tables. She seemed a little over-extended. Still a positive experience on the whole.

Sublime! A genuine hofbrauhaus transplanted into the United States. Fantastic, authentic food, a wonderful beer and bar selection in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive without hovering. Our food arrived at the correct temperature and in generous portions, and was absolutely delicious. Two members of our party had previously spent considerable time in Germany and were favourably impressed. We lingered over our meal and dessert, and when we tried to apologize for taking so long were met with avid denials and assured that they were happy to have us feel so comfortable in their dining room.
