I just moved into my new apartment and I am so EXICTED! My new place is beautiful they did new flooring and amenities. I am so excited they re did the pool I never saw the old one but let me tell you the new pool looks AMAZING!!! Summer body is all ready to enjoy that pool! Highly recommend any one thinking of renting here yes I highly recommend it!!

Ive been living there on and off since Feb 1982. They have changed the name in the last few months. But they have also put in over 45 Million Dollars in Improvments . What a huge difference since I first walked into the Rental Office back in Feb of 1982. I think anyone who comes to check out. The all New Pointe Luxe Apartment Homes will be very Happy.

We had a manager move to San Diego to open an office up and we needed to relocate him! We found this place and when we went on the tour it was amazing! They have the hallways super clean and sanitize, we actually saw some one cleaning everything which was a huge relief because they with Covid its nice to see they prioritize their cleanliness! Thank you our manager is happy and we look forward to a long stay here!

Great place! Is in a great location close to the beach and shopping center. The newly remodel pool is amazing and always kept clean, shout out to the maintenance staff for all they do.

We just move to this apartments and my wife and I highly recommend it! They are great with taking care of its residents and they were super helpful! They have a washer and dryer in unit and the unit was on great shape when it was given to us!

I had a wonderful experience living here and I highly recommend to anyone considering Point Luxe as their new home. The management team and maintenance staff are amazing here - very efficient and super helpful. They handled COVID restrictions extremely well and accommodated residents as needed. The apartments are high quality/newly renovated and the new resort style pool is gorgeous. A hidden gem centrally located in Point Loma. We’ve had our fair share of bad apartments, but let me tell you this one was different. The apartment quality was amazing! The management team was phenomenal they were tentative with any problem we had and always followed up, even when it didn’t necessarily needed to be, which I personally liked. One of the most impressive things I’ve seen was the maintenance team. The maintenance team was just as terrific as the managers. They always greet you and treat you with respect. They always helped in any way they could even if had nothing to do with the apartments. They go way above and beyond with the quality there, please don’t let that go! We’ve recommended a couple of people there from work as well! Thank you Maddy and the rest of the team!

My roommates and I had an awful experience living here for 6 months. None of our complaints towards the management were dealt with throughout the entire length of the lease and the staff were always slow and ineffective.At the end of our lease we were charged a staggering 400$ in maintenance and cleaning charges from the deposit fee, even though zero damages were made to the apartment! When we called and told them outright we were being scammed by them they offered the money back but I told them we don’t want it and felt obligated to share this here with you all.Would highly recommend to look for other places than point luxe, am utterly disappointed and feel cheated by the complex.

I will start by saying that this is the first time I have done a review and unfortunately it is badI hope I can explain in a few words the bad experience I had with this complex called Point luxe)Let me start by saying that on the day we arrived to be impressed by the complex the place sounded very impressive even though it had just been renovated, the receptionist Madeline smiled and told us things that did not happen for example: that the pool and new hot tub will open in a month. (Everything was still in construction Until the end of our lease which is 5 months)She did not tell us about the extreme noises that are in the areaFor not getting enough parking and not being able to park outsideFor homeless people that living with you and walking around and inside the complex every day and steal things (like bicycles outside the apartment and mail)We got the apartment not the cleanest (even though there was only one tenant in front of you !!!)We received a broken pole in the bathroom that until the last day of the rental was not replaced for us even though we asked several times from the reception and sent emails and even filled out a special request on the website that includes photos.In addition at our exit they took couple hundred from the deposit because the apartment was not clean even though we left it clean from what we got and even if they did they had to let us know in advance that we would pay for a cleaner at $ 100 per apartmentWorst of all, after we received the check they canceled it for no reason!In addition, girls in the concept have no ability to help you so they just tell you that you need to talk to the manager and the manger for some reason is sick 24/7 you need to make an appointment with her at least two weeks in advance !!Im really asking you, no matter what they offer you never but will never sign a contract with this complex!!My name is hendy and I use to live in apartment 203 and please but please don’t do the mistakes that I did !!!!!!!!!!

I just moved into my new apartment and love it! My new home is beautiful with brand new flooring and amenities. I cannot wait for the resort style pool and park area to be complete as I already love walking my dog around the complex. Maddy in leasing was so helpful and sweet; her excitement during our tour definitely made me excited and eager to become a resident and sign a lease!!

After living with my wife at Stonewood Gardens for two and a half years I have only positive things to report. Although the apartments are a no frills, economical living arrangements they do that very well. I felt autonomously at home with the minor interruption to announce a new parking policy, or an outage due to the ongoing construction. The organization has been able to conduct a full apartment renovation project with minimal impact to its residents and was very open and transparent throughout the process. If my wife and I had not reached a point in our lives where we are ready to settle, I would definitely continue my tenure with Stonewood Gardens as base camp. 6 Stars!

My husband and I have lived at Stonewood Gardens since November 2107. We really like how nice the leasing office manager and staff are. The maintenance requests are usually completed on the same day submitted, like for a clogged garbage disposal, or by the next day, say for broken blinds. We had an opportunity that fell in our lap to buy a house which is the only why we are sad to be leaving Stonewood. The location is perfect. You can walk to multiple grocery stores. It has all the nearby retailers youd need, and the OB walkway down to dog beach is only a few minutes walk away. By far this place is the best value for the rent price for anywhere weve lived in San Diego. Definitely recommend checking it out!!

I am very satisfied with my new apartment and the move in special that I got. The entire complex is beautiful, and will be even better when the construction is done. Judson Browder was extremely helpful throughout the entire move in process. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone that is in search of a apartment.

I have had nothing but great experiences here and was really surprised to see bad reviews! I worked with Maddy in the leasing office and she was so sweet and helpful from the very beginning. If I have any questions or concerns the leasing office is always quick to help and resolve whatever is happening. Moving is always a stressful experience, especially when moving to a new city, but I felt completely at ease here. The location is perfect and very close to everything I need! I would absolutely recommend Stonewood Gardens to anyone looking to move to the area.

Stonewood Gardens is an excellent choice for apartment living. I am thankful they brought in new office staff. The woman Kaitlin is like a breath of fresh air and seems to actually enjoy her job. Constantly and consistently has a smile and an answer whenever I have to speak with her. The grounds seem well kept as does my unit but any time I should need maintenance they are so professional and prompt to complete service. I absolutely love that my community has assigned parking so I do not have to deal with that headache and can come home to the same spot without issues daily that’s even close to my unit!

I would, and do tell anyone I can about Stonewood Gardens Apartments. The facilities are wonderful with the new gym opening this month, the pool is freshly redone, and the company seems to care about constantly improving the property. They recently improved the office staff and hired Kaitlin the most delightful manager who is fabulous at helping residents and never seems to have a bad day. The rent is a little high, but I enjoy that I can staycation with how nice the property is. Maintenance is so great at fixing anything which should arise for me, and the community is friendly as well as decently quiet!

Worst place I’ve ever lived! Do NOT live here! Property management does not respond at all! The gave us a mandatory move-in date and the apartment was not ready. The shower flooded, the sink flooded, the electricity has gone out several times! They have turned off our water without notice, they started construction on our building without proper notification. They leave construction materials in our assigned parking structure and threaten to tow our cars if we park in open unassigned spots. They have not returned a single one of our phone calls! Terrible management! Do NOT rent here!!

Love living in this place. Very nice apartments, the office crew is amazing. And the maintenance folks are awesome! very helpful and always on time. All my maintenance request are always resolved in less than 24h. Really like living here.

Initially I was hesitant on even writing this review because I have actually tried talking to the lease office about my concerns and truthfully no one cares. But that’s because I get the feeling that they deal with a lot of complaints day in and day out. So they have just become immune to to tenants concern.But after over hearing my neighbors voicing the same concerns, I have decided to explain the issues of this complex and maybe help someone In the future not make the same mistakes I made.First off this building is not what they show you in the pictures. So come here in person and do not make your opinion based off the website.Secondly right now they are undergoing construction. And it looks like there is ZERO END IN SIGHT. The construction has “lightly” been going on since I moved here October 2017. On the website they show a bunch of amenities that I haven’t even had access to since I’ve lived here. There is currently no Gym, no tennis court, no laundry room. And one of the pools is about to be under construction.Now issues within my own apartment. In the beginning we were getting our water turned off multiple times a month due to maintenance. Disruption to life yes but whatever I can get over that. But we also have mold in our bathroom. There is this weird yellow substance that appears on our walls that we have to wipe down once a month. Carpet is a big issue for me and I would have never moved here knowing that the entire apartment had carpet, but like I said the pictures online do not depict the apartments. (Only first floor apartments have vinyl floor) The walls here are THIN, there are nights I can hear my neighbors peeing. I understand apartment living, but man when they built this apartment complex they went as cheap as they could with the infrastructure.I have looked into breaking my lease but unfortunately I can’t afford the $3,200 fee and to pay first and a deposit for a new apartment so riding out my lease is all I can do. So if someone who is not from San Diego is looking for a nice reliable place to live, this isn’t it. Maybe after the construction is done but that’s a long way out.P.s. there are a lot of other issues I could have written about but I think I have made my point.

I recently moved into Stonewood gardens and couldnt be happier with my decision to do so. The 3bed 2bath units are not only the cheapest options West of the 5, but they are legitimately NICE units! The complex itself is close to absolutely everything, and so far the property management has been top notch (we had some issues with shady neighbors that they cleared up right away). In terms of affordability and value, Im extremely satisfied!

Everything looks and feels high end and modern! On top of the to die for apartment, the staff was so friendly and helpful. Thank you Cathy, Carrie, Lena and Dee Dee! Your team rocks! I will definitely be recommending these apartments to all my friends.

OK for cheap Point Loma rental. Thats about it.The staff are friendly, but the only way to get any help is to talk with management which means *at least* an hour wait. Even then, they never seem to care much and we have never had a positive experience working with the leasing office.Lots of rude tenants, which, again, management doesnt seem to care about. The pools are always full, and never seem to be cleaned. The laundry rooms are also horrible, with exorbitant prices and appliances that always break down.About the only nice things are the grass, and few trees, which the management decided to cut down recently.Overall, dissatisfied. I would have stayed if management knew how to do their jobs and if they didnt seem to raise our rent every month (weve tried talking to them and it doesnt help).

Living here has enhanced our lives. We are seniors with more than 20 years of living here. We get all the help we need from the caring people who work here and they enhance your day. Living here will never be forgotten. Thanks to all who work here at Stonewood. We are very happy here. living here is an ambiance you will never forget for the rest of your life. I live here with my wife and dog, Poncho and everyone is happy. All the people here are caring. They will always enhance your day.

Boy I read some of these negative reviews and man I got to tell you that is just not my experience here. I love it here. I have never seen homeless people on the property, the maintenance staff would never allow it. I have never had to wait to talk to management. They have an open door policy and are always welcoming. I usually just go there to ask them to print stuff out for me, but still, they are always on it. Heck, I had a mattress being delivered but had to work and Dee Dee went out of her way for me to make sure it got delivered. The landscape is beautiful. The location is premo here with every convenience just steps away. From Target, to the beach, to an awesome dog park all within 2 miles. You can seriously walk everywhere! So the grassy landscape rocks. Its that much needed green in the middle of a small city. There are 2 pools and one hot tube and they are not always full. In fact, they only get full in sperts.The majority of the time theyre empty. I use the main one to do laps at night and have never thought they it was dirty and am almost always by myself. My 1 bedroom apartment is spacious and wonderful. My little dog and I couldnt be more comfortable. The neighbors that I meet when Im out walking my dog are always kind and cordial. I dont really know who my neighbors are because they all just mind their own. As for the laundry facility, I dont have an issue with that either. Its like $3 to wash and dry a load. Which I dont think is to unreasonable given the price of electricity. I have never had to wait to do my laundry, and there are always plenty of washers and dryers. As far as Im concerned Ive struck gold here. This place is seriously central to everywhere. I would absolutely recommend this place!

Where should I begin...I moved here from the Midwest and because of unforseen circumstances we had to move sight unseen. I think most places do a pretty good job of posting accurate photos of their apartments however when we were looking on their website they only showed the few recently renovated apartments in their photos (Im guessing at the time about 1 of their 7 apartment buildings). When we arrived and saw that our apartment was full carpet, old applianaces, popcorn ceilings, mold coming out of the paper thin walls, and terrible paint job we were furious. If you are interested in this property please check it out in person before any commitments. We were so upset but we just moved cross country and thought only a year. What a year...The apartment itself - It started with about once to twice a month getting notes our water was shutting off. The paper thin walls leave next to no privacy unless your patio door is shut. You can clearly hear your neighbors TV, showering, and bathroom use anyway so you really are just out of luck. The infrastructure is not apart of the remodel so I am curious as if they are trying anything to help with noise. We have lost electricity multiple times too forcing everything in my fridge to be thrown out. They gave us a note, the day of, letting us know we would not be getting mail the next week as they were remodelling the mailroom. The laundry on site was unavailable for two weeks and they didnt send notes for that. I went to do laundry and the room had a note on the door saying that laundry would not be available until further notice and sorry for the inconvenience. I bet they are real sorry because no reimburesment or local coin laundry was offered by them. In addition there is ALWAYS a presence of homeless people scowered throughout the buildings, sleeping in hallways, and going through trash.Amenities- Tennis court hasnt been available since 2017 and is an eyesore for the community as it is being used as storage for remodelling supplies. One of the two pools has been remodeled, they started this last SUMMER, the time it would have been best to use. The whole Property Management building went under construction so for the past 6 months we havent had the 5 machines that made up their gym. They say it will be ready this month (April? May?). Anyone who walks by it can clearly see it is no where close to being ready. Parking is also absent. You are allowed 1 of the hundred parking spots per apartment and no guest parking is available. When trying to get an extra parking spot for even the noght the flat out answer is no, and yet when all the construction and remodel started they conveniently found spaces to fill with more supplies. Also their only solution if someone accidentally parks in your spot is having them towed. We all know how much fun it is to have someone elses car towed let alone their own.The construction and remodelling will not be done this year and I would be surprised if they get everything they want done by next year. During this construction period, there is constant noise. Scaffolding outlies the buildings making it easy for anyone to climb up, our neighbor had their bicycle stolen. I would go as far as to say that none of this construction is up to fire safety regulations either. Keep in mind they also raised the rent. RAISED IT. They are literally inconveniencing everyone who lives here on a daily basis but they still RAISED the rent.I am just so done with this place and maybe it will be a different story in the years to come but for anyone looking to move now, just dont. Talking to the property management team is pointless as their is nothing they are willing to do. Everything is just sorry for the inconvenience or you signed a lease. I would have broken the lease if I had the 3200 to cough up. I implore anyone moving here to please do your research. Dont let these fake positive reviews fool you.

I love living here at Stonewood Garden Apts. The staff, maintenance crew work tirelessly to maintain the property and to ensure things operate properly. As a single woman, I appreciate both the quality and the timeliness in which they deliver services. The leasing staff will do what they can to reasonably accommodate you as a tenant, in any way they can.This location is one of the most coveted areas in San Diego. Regardless of whether you have a car or not, everything you need on a day to day basis, is within a couple of yards to under a mile or from your door i.e.s Dogs Beach, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Souplantation, Vons, Grocery Outlet, Barons, Sprouts, Ross, Bay Area Animal Hospital, Kobeys Swap Meet, O.B. Farmers Market, The Rock Church, CVS, the 5 and 8 Freeways!!!I look forward to the new security gate going in, accessed by a fob. The security that we have on foot patrol in the evenings can only cover just so much. This additional measure will be greatly appreciated!

They just paint over black mold without properly cleaning it first and fixing the source of the problem. They dont even test to see the type of mold it is. Unacceptable.Grounds are unsecure and apartment buildings are open for the public to roam. Lots of homeless try to open your doors and solicitation from sales people late during evening hours.
