I cancelled as soon as possible (April) so that the host might be able to book this week, and we could get some kind of refund. The super strict policy is very deceiving. It says you will get a 50% refund but that is considered on the FULL cost of the booking. In my case, we paid $1444.99 for the deposit. When I cancelled, I only received $119 in refund! When you book and you only pay 50% of the cost, you are considered participating in a payment plan. (So basically you don’t owe them the other 50% towards the full cost if you cancel, Gee thanks.) I requested multiple times for a resolution and the host EMILY FROM YOUR COMPANY to repeatedly denied anything more than $119. By the way, the price included a cleaning fee. How can we be charged the cleaning fee if we did not even stay there??!! The host stole $1325 from me under the guise of the SUPER STRICT POLICY. She offered to give me a “deal” for my next stay, but I DO NOT TRUST HER OR HER COMPANY, and I am so turned off by this host I do not want to stay in any of her lodgings. I understand the pandemic caused stress but what about the customer? I would have been willing to accept a partial refund to split the costs of an unexpected situation. She should have given me at least 50% of what I paid, and I would have found that acceptable and probably tried to stay at her place in the future. Quite frankly, this has left an absolutely bitter taste in my mouth regarding Airbnb. I know I am not the only one who has been scammed by the hosts and the company.

Fantastic! Highly recommend! - We really enjoyed our stay in San Diego. She was extremely accommodating to our family, including our toddler. He even provided a pack n play & high chair. The unit was impeccable and perfectly situated for visitors to San Diego. Having garage parking is key in this area as we would not have been able to find street parking. We were able to take a day trip, then use the bus system and walk for other times- it really was perfect. She far exceeded our expectations as a host & we are so happy with our choice to stay here! Went with my family this weekend! Best place ever! We had so much fun! The cabins were super nice and clean. The owners were very nice and were always checking up on you. Best view staying in cabin #11. We will for sure be back again! I recommend coming here with family and friends!

The space was well-kept, and the furniture suited all our needs. The location was wonderful with a yard that could be used for relaxation. The only problem was getting the TVs to work, but that was not a huge deal. It was a good stay.

We just returned from a weeks. We were very happy to stay at San Diego Resort, The apartment is centrally located within easy reach to downtown and not far from the airport. There are restaurants and markets nearby. he was a most gracious landlord and the apartment was sunny and comfortable. We would gladly visit again and recommend to those entertaining a stay in San Diego!!

First time I booked a vacation rental in San Diego Resort Rentals. Everything was excellent. The greeter was very kind helpful. Our apartment was nice and comfortable! They are located in the heart of Midtown and agency was very professional and we felt good to have booked with them.

This was our first family vacation outside of California and our first time renting a home. The experience was wonderful! The service we received from beginning to end was outstanding! The home we rented eas exactly like the pictures posted and exceeded our expectations. The home was extremely neat and clean. I would highly recommend San Diego Resort Rentals!

My stay has been great and I highly recommend this apartment. Clean, organized, well finished and the best is also the fact that He always tries to accommodate you for the best solution. I stayed for 4 weeks and I have rented many places in my life, this one comes definitely on my top 3.

I recently met up with some old friends in San Diego for a week and stayed at one of the homes that these guys rent. It was actually my first time in San Diego and I have to say that I cant believe I didnt come out here sooner!Anyway, a few things about the place. First, what a pleasure to deal with everyone on the entire staff. They were not only exceedingly nice but also very helpful and knew everything about the local area. None of us was from San Diego and so, when it came time to figure out where to eat and what places to visit, their help was much appreciated.The house itself was a dream. it was lovely, super clean and had it all. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook, there was a big screen TV and a great music system, the beds were comfy and, frankly, it was a lot nicer than I thought it was going to be.Theres one last thing. When we arrived there was a beautiful gift basket waiting for us loaded with all sorts of goodies! Thats what I call service above and beyond the call of duty!Anyway, the reason I decided to write this Review is simply because my buddies and I were completely satisfied with everything. If youre going to be vacationing in San Diego do yourself a favor and give these great guys and keep this place in mind.

The place was amazing. Very spacious and very comfortable. It felt like I was in my own home for three days. It has a fully equipped kitchen, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, and plenty of entertainment options. I would definitely recommend this place to future travelers.

We enjoyed our place very much. Very convenient and very cute. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of art decorated the apartment, and the neighborhood had great bus service, and charming restaurants.

Rented a house for our family in St. Louis for a weekend. Very nice, comfy couch and clean, spacious rooms. We couldnt get the living room TV to work and had a few minor plumbing issues but otherwise everything worked great. Netflix access, good wifi, toilet paper, towels, utensils, etc. We played board games in the living room and cooked a family feast in the kitchen and it all worked out really well.

Marty was a pleasure to deal with! My friends and I were planning a trip to San Diego, and wanted to rent a place to stay. Marty showed us pictures and we loved it. He was so accommodating when we get there, gave us a walk through of the house and explained everything to us. We had such a fun time in this house! The team at SDRR is amazing!We were a little worried about our deposit being returned when leaving. Weve rented before, and it seems that the owners always give an excuse as to why they cant refund us. We didnt have that problem this time. Our deposit was refunded to us shortly after checking out, what a relief!Would highly recommend the San Diego Resort Rentals and Services! Will use again in the future :) Thank you for such an incredible stay!

My daughter and I stayed at one of their Airbnb homes in San Diego our experience was excellent Sara made sure to check on us and our host Marty went above and beyond, very sweet lady she recommended places to visit and beaches that are great for kids. The house was kept clean the entire time, I highly recommend this place for families.

I have used SDRR multiple times over the past several years. Great Team! Always helpful, knowledgeable and always the perfect house! This year they out did themselves for our Winter meeting.You could tell the home was prepared just for us and we noticed! Thank you!

Found this wonderful rental on San Diego that we could not seem to find on San Diego, even though it was supposedly listed there too. He was a way better experience, and I loved the helpful staff!

O M G!!!! How WONDERFUL This Trip was!!!!!!! Marty took such good care of my elderly family and I. I was out here for a wedding and I had my large family with me so hotels are kinda of out of the question. This was beyond a B&B, this was HOME ❤️ Amazing security, wonderful service and great connections I will always feel at home in San Diego!!

We booked our stay through airbnb but next time will book direct with SDRR! Very professional, helpful and the house was sparkling clean! They thought of everything and we are so grateful for all the help, they really made our vacation a true vacation!

My family and I booked Villa on the Bay for one month this past Summer, June 23-July 21. The service we received from Marty and her staff was outstanding. She was prompt, accommodating and very respectful. The property looked exactly like the pictures and the location was outstanding- just one door down from the Catamaran Hotel. When spending thousands and thousands of dollars for a rental for one month, it is always a relief to find that the home is indeed as good as the pictures portrayed.Anytime I needed Marty she was always available. We even requested an early check-in, arriving in the middle of the night, and she made herself available. I do not know many agents that go above and beyond like this.I highly recommend San Diego Resort Rentals.

In May we had our first family vacation in San Diego and it was FANTASTIC!! We had a great time staying at the Villa on the Bay. The place was very nice and I loved the huge kitchen. It was a perfect choice to stay at the Villa because we had 3 kids with us all under age of 5, the place was huge enough for them to run around and the front yard of the villa became my kids playground for 3 days..lol..The staff at San Diego Resort Rentals and Services was very nice to us and helped us with everything we need. Thank you guys!!!

We just stayed at the SDRR guest house, we loved it! Cant wait to go back to San Diego again and when we do we will only stay here!

Cabins were spectacular, and they were an accommodating size. I especially loved how they were exactly on the lakeshore! 😉

These people lied to me. I do not recommend you seek services from them for anything! Sara & Marty are not honest people of business. My mother stayed in this property and was taken advantage of monetarily. They only try to make it seem like they are honest.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in the Saint Louis home. Felt like home and the pictures matched to the tee. Would stay here again.

My fiancé, my daughter, and I stayed in one of the Stl homes and we absolutely loved it when we walked in. Everything matched the pictures and we felt at home definitely staying here again.

I spent 3 nights at one one of their properties in San Diego with my children (booked via AirBnB). Sara was very responsive in answering all of my questions and concerns, even after I had already booked the reservation. Marty was onsite at the Bed and Breakfast during our entire stay and was a fabulous host. The place was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had many options, even hardboiled eggs, and could be eaten at ones convenience. We enjoyed our time at this Bed and Breakfast and all the hospitality/conversation with Marty about local tips and tips, as well as life stories.

Stayed at a rental in St. Louis. There were some struggles (wifi password was wrong, heat was stuck off, etc.) but they were quick to communicate fixes and our stay was overall quite pleasant.

We spent a month and a half in an apartement of their property in San Diego with my wife (booked via AirBnb). Our stay was very pleasant. The apartment is very large, private, comfortable, very well furnished, quiet with a very pretty back yard. The place is in the center of Clairemont, so very easy to hop on the freeways and get to all of SD. It is exactly what you see with all the basic amenities that we needed for our stay.Check in was very easy and Sara was very attentive and available to help if I needed it.We would definitely recommend staying here and we would love to stay in this apartment again on our next trip to san Diego

Unprofessional management-watch your DEPOSIT! The home was not prepared for our arrival. The communication was terrible-I attempted several times to reach out on our 6 hour drive (phone and message through homeaway app). We arrived at 3:45 (check-in was at 3pm). We knocked and no one answered. The door was unlocked, and upon opening, the alarm sounded. I was on the phone with homeaway at that point looking for guidance and they began booking a hotel for our family and dogs due to not being able to get in contact with the owner not Marty (even HomeAway was unsuccessful). The owners father presented as a result of the alarm while I was still on the phone with homeaway. It wasnt until then that we received the codes. It took us 2 hours before the house was ours and we were outside for an hour with young toddlers after a 6 hour drive. The cleaning crew presented a few minutes later and changed the sheets upstairs, paper products were refreshed, but nothing else was cleaned. They returned with a handful of towels, which we disseminated throughout the kitchen and bathrooms ourselves. Which we definitely could have used more, since there were six adults. I get that they were hurrying bc they arrived after we did, but they did not clean the home as expected for new guests. The floors being the most concerning- sticky kitchen floor (broken glass which we discovered when my brother cut his foot, debris throughout and plastic fork & toothpick beside couch). For the safety of our toddlers, I had to sweep & vacuum after they left. Old grounds and mold were found in the coffee pot. There was old food in the fridge that we had to throw away. The backyard was not mowed (made it harder to clean up the dog waste). The AC wasn’t turned on so it took hours to get it to cool down, the upstairs being the worst, of course. There was a disconnected AC unit upstairs which we had to connect. It just all adds up. The property manager never made an attempt to reach out to me either after all those calls/ messages.After filing a formal complaint with HomeAway, Marty kept all but $75 of our security deposit, stating unauthorized pets, but we indicated yes to pets and paid the pet fee. She said there were urine stains, which I disputed. There were no pet accidents at all. The floors were dirty when we arrived and they are wood/ tile, no carpet.Marty blocked my number and has refused to respond...the owner deferred me back to Marty. Looking into litigation now. Dont risk your time/ money!

We recently rented a property from Marty and I must say that I am unbelievably disappointed in the service. Things seemed to go well when we first reserved the house but went downhill fast afterward. We did a walk through of the house with another agent and it was agreed that everything looked good, nothing broken. When we contacted Marty for the return of our security deposit, she was radio silent. Wont answer multiple calls, emails, etc. This behavior is extremely unprofessional! I would never go through Marty again and suggest you stay away as well....unless you prefer to give away money for no reason. Ill find someone who is far less deceptive!

Stayed at a house in St. Louis. Some struggles given the management company was half a country away, such as poor plumbing and a rusted out grill and a tire full of water just sitting in the back yard.

No more hotels for us! This has been our best family trip to San Diego Ever! The communication from the SDRR agent was fantastic! SHe made sure everything was set up just as we had requested. They stayed in touch throughout our vacation, even helped us arrange childcare so we could have an adult evening!. We are so pleased! We will definitely rely on SDRR for our vacation homes in San Diego

San Diego Resort Rental is a scam. Sara and Marty Forness are liars and thieves and deserve to be in jail. SDRR rented me a property that was no longer under contract with them. SDRR asked me to pay the first installment by check 3377.00, SDRR cashed the check and never returned my calls again. The owner of the rental property canceled the contract with SDRR months prior because SDRR owed him money as well but they continued to take money for this property. This was my familys Christmas break 2016, we had non refundable flights to SD with nowhere to stay. Dont be fooled by their fast talking lies, they will rob you. The SDRR address on 4609 Cass Street is bogus as well. SDRR is not at this location. This report has been filed with San Diego Small Claims Court, BBB, VRBO, IC3.GOV- internet crime complaint center, and the San Diego District Attorneys office. (One star, because I was not able to post a comment without at least one star).
