My wife and I were moving across the country and I would be lying if I didnt say that I was nervous about such a big change. When I first saw the photos of the apartment complex and the location, I knew we made the right choice, the Mediterranean style and convenient location were just what we wanted. The leasing team is what truly started making La Jolla Palms feel like home. Before we even left NY, Jennie was giving us helpful pointers and accurate answers to our concerns. When we finally got to meet her in person, it was like we already knew each other. Damian has been a true pro at getting us plugged into the best local spots and answering all our questions. If we call or stop by the office, there is always a friendly face ready to help. Everywhere else we have ever rented from could learn a lot from this management team. All of the maintenance crew I have met have been very friendly and weve only just begun to enjoy the amenities. Im happy to call La Jolla Palms home!!

We moved to La Jolla Palms Apartment Homes in the end of August 2021. We had a very eventful cross-country move. However, Jennie and Damian from the La Jolla Palms management team went above and beyond and our move-in experience was like a breeze. They were great at communicating all the necessary steps that needed to be completed before move-in. They answered all of our questions and gave us all the essential tips to make our move-in day as easy as possible. It is fantastic to have an on-site team that aims for the highest resident satisfaction. Were very happy with our new home, the amenities and our on-site team. Thank you so much!

I moved here a few months ago cross country and couldnt have had a better experience because of the community manager, Elliott. He answered all my questions, helped me virtually tour, and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my apartment.

Our tours went beyond our expectations! We checked out 4 apartments in La Jolla. Brandon McKnight was the best! He guided us step by step of our entire tour. He called and checked on us throughout the day, and to make sure our tours went smoothly and that we had a great experience! Brandon was so professional and pleasant! He is amazing! Living in Palms has been a fantastic experience. Its like being in a hotel with beautiful infrastructure, the amenities such as the pool and landscape are very peaceful and are gorgeous at night. The fitness center is quaint (although some free weights would be great), but for some light cardio and dumbbell workouts it gets the job done. I really appreciate Damien for all the help hes done in getting our lease together and making move-in a smooth experience with answering all of our questions, hes always in the leasing office and has been a friendly face whenever I have to clarify something. Id also like to thank Jennie, Elliot, and Bryan for all their work and help with getting us settled in this home.

The most incredible apartment complex Ive lived in. It truly feels like I live in a resort - the landscape, fountains, palm trees, pool/hot tub area, and the rooms are beautiful and so well kept! Damien, Elliot, and Jennie are AWESOME and always there to help us with anything we might need. Tony is also amazing who helps with any maintenance requests! La Jolla Palms is top notch in every way. Its so relaxing and the location is incredible - 10 min to beach, 2 min to whole foods/vons, close to so many amazing hikes, and walking distance to Westfield UTC. I cant recommend this place enough! We are SO glad we moved here!!!

Safe, beautifully maintained and exceptionally responsive staff to any questions or concerns. Friendly and courteous neighbors make living here in La Jolla Palms a pleasure. All the managerial staff and in particular Jennie Cake, quickly resolved the few very minor issues that have come up. La Jolla Palms has been a good choice for my family and a peaceful place to live. The location is excellent and convenient for shopping.

The Irvine Company managing the La Jolla Palms apartment building is horrendous. They are liars, thieves, and harassing my mother in her apartment. DO NOT LIVE ANYWHERE THEY MANAGE. My mother is an outstanding tenant paying rent on time consistently, keeping an immaculately clean apartment and they continue to have maintenance issues flooding her apartment, termite infestation, etc. NOW they are targeting her with my dog visiting (with me) for a couple hours in her apartment and saying it is not pet friendly when she had CLEARLY stated the occasional visiting dog, not a full time live-in pet.Shame on these people, you should be fired.

I absolutely love this place! I feel so safe and taken care of by the staff at all times! A big shoutout to Julio who makes sure all my maintenance requests are handled efficiently and professionally at any time!! And another shoutout to Elliot, our community manager, who is always genuinely looking out for us and our wellbeing!

The apartment is great, but the management team is horrible. While sitting on my couch in my apartment all day, I have gotten multiple noise complaints. When I call the office to address this, the only response is that I should make more of an effort to not disturb my neighbors. I am gone at work for the majority of the day and spend the evening in my apartment alone, usually watching TV or reading. Yet I have gotten a notice that says my lease will be terminated if more complaints are received. It’s very disturbing to know that I could lose my home because only one side of the story is being heard or believed.In addition, things are constantly breaking, I had to fix the toilet myself, and the residents above me sound like they’re throwing a rave every night.I will be moving at the earliest opportunity. Do not deal with La Jolla Palm or Irvine Properties!!

I am not the type that go on and write reviews about anything but this is one of those rare occasion where credits are due. My girlfriend and I lived in one of the many beautiful units at La Jolla Palms, and a few weeks ago our bedroom closet experience a major leak from the AC unit not draining correctly. This happened around 2:30am, on a workday, and we were both freaking out. We called the off-hours number and within 15-20mins, Mr. Julio (Maintenance Manager) showed up at our door, in full PPE, and assure us that he will have this taken care of ASAP. Another 15mins went by and he was done. Sealed the leak, vacuum the floor, and offer us a full carpet cleaning of the whole unit. Talk about setting the bar high for his crew. Julio, you are awesome my friend. Skipping to a few days later, my girlfriend had to get her clothes dried cleaned, and it was not cheap. The total bill was around $290. Jennie, another awesome member of Ja Jolla Palms, stepped in and ask me for the bill. I just got an email today saying the bill for the dried cleaning has been fully credited to my resident ledger. Do you want to be treated like royalty? Do you want lighting speed response time? Do you want some TLC in situation like this? If your answer is yes, La Jolla Palms Apartment Homes is where you need to be. No if, buts or coconuts.Thank you again to Jennie and Julio for a job well done.

Awesome response from all the staff members, I love the amenities and its super quiet. If you live by yourself, or with your partner then this is the perfect place for you.

Best apartment complex in San Diego with great amenities and most importantly friendly and professional management.I would highly recommend 2 bedroom plus loft apartment because you get extra loft space, highest floor, high ceiling and fireplace.Bryan, Jenny, Erika and Mariana are amazing. They go above and beyond to take care of all tenants.I had most interactions with Bryan and was impressed how he cares about tenants. His professionalism and friendly attitude is remarkable.All other property management companies should learn from La Jolla Palms Team. Because they are the best!

La Jolla Palms is one of the most beautiful properties in the La Jolla area. The property and grounds are beautiful and the property management team are rock-stars.

Definitely the best service and maintenance in this are with great price and location. Shout out to Bryan and Oscar whos been the best support whenever I needed help. Compared to other apartments, its an amazing and comfortable stay.

While I parked my car in their garage, someone broke my window stoled my stuff. The only words that La Jolla palms said was “call the police” I didn’t get any compensation, any feedback of inquiry. Even they said they have CCTV, but they can’t show anything to me. The Worst apartment ever.

Good location and a reasonable apartment for our five week stay. Pool facility excellent Front office staff helpful. Head office staff seem not to interested . Yes there are a lot of dogs but seems well controlled. Try Trulucks across the road for a great happy hour between 5 and 7pm.

Great location, super staff, beautiful surroundings, comfortable apartments. Ive lived in a lot of places and this is near the top. (The problems noted in 1-star reviews from a couple of years ago have been fixed.) Maintenance issues are almost always handled very quickly and they regularly update the property. Groundskeeping is excellent. Very few problems with noise. It is a very convenient location. Rent increase for lease renewal was steep but I think the market has topped out with all the new luxury units opening recently/soon around town, so hopefully that stops.

Move-Out Charges Exorbitant and MisleadingNote: This review is less about the experience living in this apartment community and more about how the management handles the move-out process. Im not one to post negative reviews, but this experience was so frustrating that I feel I need to warn others.I lived in this apartment community for less than a year and kept my unit in great condition. Though there were issues with car break-ins, stealing from the parking garage, and apparently car thefts, I had a decent experience living here.After going through the required move-out inspection, I was told that I would be charged less than $200 for apartment cleaning, carpet cleaning, and touchup painting. Because I have been a renter for many years now, I considered this estimate reasonable. In the end, I was charged close to $350 to turn over the unit (cleaning and painting). Keep in mind that I lived in this unit for less than a year, dont have pets, had very few nail holes in walls, and kept the unit in great condition. I was also charged a crazy amount for water usage, though this is something that I had been dealing with the entire time I lived here (unexpectedly as the water charges are way higher than any other rental Ive had in San Diego or anywhere else). They also tried to charge me for stain removal, but couldnt back it up with photographic evidence, so they later removed that charge.I have also previously rented with Irvine Company in a downtown San Diego complex and had a very different experience when moving out.The Takeaway: The management will most likely rip you off if you decide to move out, so be prepared to pay them an unreasonable amount of money to turn over your unit. Because the move-out inspection is an estimate, they feel they can justify any charge.I also have to say that though this company has left me frustrated and disappointed, Bryan in the leasing office was always incredibly friendly and helpful. He wasnt my POC during my move-out process.

Never ending ant infestations and water problems (as in no running water). I give up. Id leave today if I could but Im not going to pay the 4,000 termination fee. Living here was the biggest mistake Ive ever made.
